Question: I never gone to any vacation? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:59 PM PDT that enjoyable with my parents. I never been to an actual vacation currently 21. |
Question: Is it common in girls to resemble their fathers more as kids? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:56 PM PDT From birth till age 10, I used to resemble a female version of my father. Same smile, same gesture, somewhat rounded and chubby face Whenever our toddler and early childhood pictures got compared, several would say I could been his twin sister. Now as an adult, I'm much thinner and in shape. Finally I look more like my mother and other female members in the family. It used to bother me back then. At the time, I thought ''I'm a girl, I'm suppose to look more like my mother and other women in the family''. |
Question: I thank my parents for being grounded? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:25 PM PDT I'm 17 and some days ago I fought very strongly with my parents, beating my father up and trying to escape from home. So I was grounded for 3 days, locked up in my room without pc, phone and tv. But what had to be a heavy punishment, turned out to be something different. 3 days to feel good about myself, relaxing, thinking on my mistakes and away from the frequent fighting with my parents of the last period. I wrote some short stories, drew, cleaned all the room...I really never was boring. I allowed to go out for meals and bathroom but you must know that when I was out I was looking forward to coming back to my room and immerse myself in my world. So it was a very important opportunity for me to take a break in a sense... We usually tend to consider punishments as negative things but sometimes they could be different and we can find the right way to transform them. What do you think about? Are you agree with me? |
Question: Why won’t my brother move out? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:24 PM PDT He has own place but he won't stay there I will never understand that as there are people like me who are trying to get their own place because they want to move out. He doesn't listen to our mom most of the time and yet she lets him get away with it and complains to me about it I keep telling her that you're the one who lets him stay. He is moving in January out the country at least so he should get used to being on his own I'm sure he would stay that long to he talks about going back home but never does. He is lazy the room he stays in our mom has to ask him to do it or she will even do it for him same for his cat litter box he has one of the cats for a few years recently got a kitten I don't know why as he barley takes care of the other one. I try not to be lazy I clean my room and bathroom once a week we have 2 bathrooms so I kind of have my own only times I skip is when depression hits really bad. But why are some people like this? Like I'd love to take his place while he stays here tell he moves out so no more drama for me it's a mess but I'd clean that place up if this happened. Also he is 28 acts like he's 13. |
Question: Why do some parents call their toddlers 'babies'? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:23 PM PDT They are not babies. |
Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:00 PM PDT We're in high school, and our school is almost all white. My boyfriend's parents are from El Salvador, but he was born here. I've noticed how lenient my friends' parents and mine are as compared to his, especially his mother. He has to ask her every time he goes out because he's "just 16". He once slammed a door and she made him sleep in their living room for a week. He's in the top 5 in our class, but a couple of times when he slipped up he told me she slapped his face and put an early curfew on him. And then today, it happened in front of me. They had an argument, and I think he didn't want to be put down by her in front of me, so he pushed his luck by arguing a little too much and let a swear word slip out of his mouth. She gave his face such a slap I could see her fingerprints glowing on his poor cheek. He teared up, but she put her hand under his chin to make him look at her, and said "If your mouth swears, your face will pay the price". He was so embarrassed even the cheek that wasn't slapped turned bright red. I told him she wasn't allowed to do this but he said she loved him a lot, and had saved up to send him to a nice school and for university. And she was only disciplining him to raise him well, and he loved her too. I've never seen white people be so strict. Do you think she's raising him well? |
Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:52 PM PDT I am in love with my sister. I'm 22 and she's 18. She's the most beautiful girl in the world. I want here to be mine. We grew up in a bad home so I let here move in with me. The only rule is she can't have any boyfriend or bring boys over. I am in love with her. I steal her panties, I steal her socks. I have meny fetishes involving her. Once playing truth or dare I paid my freind to dare me to lick my sister's feet and that was the best night of my life. She once kicked me in the balls and that made me so horny. I don't think she knows about my obsession with her. She's seems so nieve to it all. Do you think sisters love their brother's like this ever? |
Question: My parents treat me like a child!? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:46 PM PDT I'm a 21 year old woman with Autism, but i'm still not allowed to eat whatever I want whenever I want, go anywhere by myself or buy whatever I want with my own money. I still get told "no" most of the time when I want dessert or when I want to drink soda, I still get told things like "You've had enough sweets!" and I still HAVE to have someone "chaperone" me when I go out. Also, when both of my parents started going to work and I was home alone, I took advantage of being home alone by going to Starbucks everyday LIKE ANY OTHER PERSON MY AGE, and my parents went onto my bank account, saw my constant Starbucks purchases and got really angry with me! I got grounded that weekend for going to Starbucks too much. To make things worse, they do this JUST so that I won't gain weight, not because it'll ruin my health. They made that obvious. How can I convince my parents that i'm WAY too old for them to be doing this? I've even tried telling them that people so much younger than me are allowed to do what i'm not, but that didn't work. Even though i'm an adult, moving out is NOT an option at all for me. First off, they said that because I have special needs, i'll never drive a car, and I can't move out without being able to drive a car. Not only that, but i'm on SSI and my lawyer said that my parents are my "guardians", so I don't think my lawyer will let me move out. I can't get a job because nobody will hire people with Autism. Also, please don't say that i'm being immature or i'm acting like a child. I have Autism and can't help it. Despite having Autism, I still TRY to be mature and act like an adult! I never whine or throw tantrums, and i'm very nice to everyone, never mean. I'm sorry if I come across as immature. It's my Autism. Please help me convince my parents to start letting me make as many bad decisions as I want and not say ANYTHING about it! I want to live an adult's life, but it seems like i'll live like a child for the rest of my life because of my disability. It seems like i'll have to wait until my parents pass away to be able to make my own decisions, but I don't want to wish my life away like that, and I love my parents! I don't want them to pass away! I just want them to start letting me eat and drink whatever I want whenever I want and go out whenever I want without anyone chaperoning me! I don't want to live a child's life for the rest of my life! I WANT to start driving and get a job so I can move out, but because of my disability, I can't! I hope you understand! Please help me! :'( |
Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:44 PM PDT I'm a huge fan of BTS, and I'm very shy... my mom is a fiancé to an amazing guy... my moms fiancé happens to have a father who is a multi millionaire, the problem is, his father doesn't really share any of his money, his father believes you have to work hard for money, his father even makes him pay for rent at a house his father owns in which my mom and fiancé live in... let me get to my real point of this whole thing, I am dying to go to a concert in Korea, but I'm way too shy to ask that, my parents may or may not have the money for me to go to the concert in Korea, so I thought maybe if they don't have the money for that, then we can ask my moms fiancés father for some money, then I can pay his father back later, I've thought of ways to ask my parents, but then there goes one problem, I'm too shy. As you know I'm a fan of BTS and I really want to go to their concert in Korea which happens in about 9 days, now that's also a problem because it's last minute, the reason I want to go to this concert is well obviously I'm a fan of BTS, and it's also one of their last concerts in the LOVE YOURSELF world tour, which in fact this LOVE YOURSELF album has helped me ALOT to love myself more, you have no idea how low I was in self esteem before the LOVE YOURSELF album. I have lots of reasons why I want to go to the BTS concert, but the problem is how much money is it, AND my high shyness...there is also a concert In Arabia but I'm sure my parents would rather me go to the one in Korea |
Question: Is there something wrong with my parents? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:43 PM PDT im 17 year old girl, and i think my parents are abusing me. they make me wear diapers and a pacifier at all times. my mom forces me to sleep in a crib and sit in a high chair and wear a bib. she spoonfeeds me baby food and feeds me from a bottle. she bathes me, changes my diaper, and dresses me, and she pushes me around on a wheelchair. in the car, she puts me on a rear facing baby carseat. my mom follows me to school, and she put surveillance cameras in my bedroom and she snoops through my trash and devices. my dad also makes me crawl around at home. he won't even let me walk! and at church, they put me in the preschool section even though im already 17. my parents embarrass me a lot. at church, they wear denim short shorts and disgusting tanktops. they drink beer in church and roll around naked, screaming nonsense. they also fart in church. once my dad was drunk on vodka and beer and he drove at like 120 mph, and my carseat came loose and my mom smacked me really hard because of that. then my dad got distracted and ran over a porta potty and killed a construction worker. then my mom was so mad she threw me out of the car into the river and my dad got out of the car and rolled around in the streets naked bellowing "gah gah gay gay pee pee poo poo goo goo". whenever we go out to eat, my parents force me to sit in a high chair. they make me wear a bib and they spoonfeed me baby food. they also change my diaper in the bathroom. and my parents order like 500 dollars worth of beer and they fart when they drink. when the bill is too high, my dad takes off literally all his clothes and throws his clothes at the ceiling and he farts and belches really loud. |
Question: Can a 2 year old learn to swim? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:10 PM PDT He should know how to swim because there's a lake outside our house which makes me nervous sometimes. Usually many swimming classes don't accept 2 year olds. Should I get him a private swimming instructor? I can swim obviously but I wouldn't know how to teach a 2 year old. Plus, he already knows how to walk on his own so swimming would be no problem at all. |
Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:08 PM PDT The other day I walking a dog. I went around the block a few times. The one neighbor was out with his family and they saw me and said hello. I noticed his family had left and it was just him in the yard. He called me over and said why don't you come over here once you finish walking that dog. I said okay sorta laughing but I was really nervous. I finished walking the dog and walked back just to see what he wanted. So I walked over towards him and said yeah so what and he kept telling me to just come in the house for a few minutes and I kept saying no and he kept asking and I finally said no and walked away. That was three days ago. I can't stop thinking if that was really nothing to even be worried about but my gut is telling me to tell my parents especially because I'm 15 and he's about 40. |
Question: What does this mean for me? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:06 PM PDT My father is from a country named Bangladesh but grew up in the U.S, he was previously married to an African woman before marrying my mother. My parents died 10 years ago. Now my DNA tests reveal i have 2 living half brothers in Africa, i didn't know that my father had children with his previous partner, what does this mean for me? Do my African brothers have inheritance rights to my father's assets? |
Question: Do some mothers abandon their families? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:04 PM PDT I keep hearing that fathers usually abandon their families ( like mine did) but how about moms? Are there some mothers they leave their families? |

Question: Whats wrong with my dad? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 11:43 AM PDT Every time we are watching TV or something, my dad wont stop farting! He also sometimes squeezes his *private* area and he drinks a lot of beer. On average he drinks about 20 to 25 bottles of beer each day. Whenever I beat him in board games or video games, he runs around the house farting and he swears really loud. |
Question: My sister is a cruel person. Am I justified to never speak to her again? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 11:19 AM PDT |
Posted: 02 Aug 2019 10:31 AM PDT He always was a social drinker but when I was in high school the alcoholism began. Around this time I was trying drugs, hanging with a major bad crowd, got a girl pregnant, and was expelled from school for cocaine use on campus. Now I am 41 and fine. But my father remains a very bad alcoholic and at age 66 it is only a matter of time till he dies. Could my bad conduct as a teenager be why he is an alcoholic? |
Question: How to handle people who keep giving unsolicited advice? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 10:05 AM PDT My mom and my brother both constantly try to force advice on people who didn't ask for it. My brother does it so bad, half the family avoids him because they can't just have a conversation with him without him overstepping his boundaries and getting all in our personal lives telling what we SHOULD be doing. My mom has been doing it a lot too. And the thing is, neither of them have to room to be doing it. He faked his way into getting disability because all he wants to do is smoke weed and he's afraid of any physical work. And she just filed bankruptcy for the 2nd time. For example, my brother will call me every day and try to convince me to hang up drywall in my basement. I tell him I don't really want to, I don't do anything but store things down there. Still he persists, it'll raise the value, etc.. my whole thing is... MIND YOUR GOD DAMN BUSINESS. Don't worry about what I'm doing, I'm doing just fine, you know. My basement is no concern of yours. Why do you keep on me about it? Why do I keep having to tell you that I don't want to put up drywall? Why are you so worried about my stuff? And the worst thing is if I tell one of them something, they'll immediately tell the other so then I have to have the same conversation twice. They're annoying. |
Question: How do I encourage my son to do something useful with his life? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 09:50 AM PDT When my son was 19, he dropped out of college because he wasn't able to handle the stress that came with it. All of his classes got withdrew and he ended up with no credits whatsoever. Ever since he came back home, he started working at a local Dunkin. He has been working there for about 3 years now. For the past 3 years, I have been asking him if he's going back to school or learn a trade and he always answers me, "Maybe sometime in the future". He only works about 20 hours a week so he has a lot of free time to do something else. However, it wouldn't make sense to force him to do something that he wouldn't put any effort towards. |
Question: Should I pay for my daughter to go to an art school? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 07:27 AM PDT After she graduates high school, she wants to go to an art school to study Illustration and Painting. She is an artist and has been drawing/painting her whole life. She will probably get accepted when she shows the schools her portfolio. The main question is, are art schools worth the large sums of money? I have been encouraging her to study something more reliable. |
Question: Question for parents out there? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 06:42 AM PDT So I am dating a guy whose mom practically babies him. First I get that he is her son and shes gonna love him unconditionally but she takes it above and beyond. She will sit there and baby him. he's 22 years old and he always breaks the law, always does what he wants without zero consequences. Her husband use to beat on her so thats where her son gets it from her son beats on her and she calls him up to apologize for it saying she deserved it and is so sorry. She grabbed him and told him ''oh youre my little crazy boy'' and told me that if he hits me that I dont need to be surprised because if he gets too mad hes gonna hit me. She still asks what he wants for Christmas like hes a little child. lmao. She constantly justifies his actions. When he was in prison I was supporting him and nothing I did was good enough for her, she constantly finds nothing but bad in me like I am this horrible monster that doesnt take care of her son. She wanted me to save my money so we could both have a place when we got home and the one time she came over and crossed her arms asking what exactly I had for her son when he got out of prison. I have always been there for him to take care of him but I cant stand his mother. Ever since he got out of prison and put his hands on me she got mad at me and blamed me for it all. She is so quick to stick up for him and every thing he does she justifies it. Like oh he is messed up in the head and everyone should just feel bad for him. why does this happen? |
Question: Should my mom charge me for babysitting? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 05:45 AM PDT I'm 19 with a newborn. I am going back to work and my mom has agreed to babysit while I work. The problem is that she only works 2 days a week and is a housewife so she basically has a ton of free time. And yet, she is charging me to babysit her grandchild. |

Question: Is it ignorant for my mom to refuse to get a job ? Especially because she has 4 kids? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 01:04 AM PDT My mom said she'll get a job but she's been on Netflix all damn day & it effects me and my siblings because now we live in an apartment & school is coming up and I can't even afford new clothes anymore because of her . All of us fell into depression because she's so ignorant and even fails to feed us . I'm sure my siblings and I fell into depression because our friends have perfect lives . We live in the south so it's full of rich whjte people and it's absolutely humiliating to no be able to afford clothes , I don't have a father I really wish I did I think days would be better money wouldn't be a problem. All I ate today was bread because she just stayed on her couch all day . She's showing me how not to be a mother & I'm honestly so sad because of it I wish I was rich . I just finished crying because I'm going back to school with barley any clothes while my friends are sending me snaps in all their shopping bags. They don't know what I'm going through because everything's always about them which is fine to me but I just wish someone cared about me . |
Question: I think my ex is stalking me? Posted: 02 Aug 2019 12:59 AM PDT Yesterday night my aunt dropped me home from soccer practice and dinner, my dad works a full time job and my mom works part time, so I was home alone. I have a key to open the door, but oddly yesterday the door was already opened and so I assumed my parents forgot to lock it or something . The moment I walked in my house I heard a loud thumping noise and I quickly ran out of the house. I just stood outside on the porch steps far from the door and waited for something to come flying out. When it didn't, I had no other choice but to go back inside. It was getting late, dark, and I was exhausted. When I went back in the house I made sure to be really cautious, I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and ran to my room and shouted that whoever was there needs to leave. I opened the door and walked inside, but there was nobody there. instead, the window was open and so were my drawers, and a couple of my shirts were missing. I told my mom about this incident when she got home, and we went to the police station and reported what happened. A few days ago i broke it off with my 19 yr old bf and ever since then i feel like im being watched. The cops said there was nothing they could do. So I am stuck feeling scared and clueless and have to sleep in my parents room , my dad has a gun) what am i suppose to do? Im 16 btw. |
Question: I am moving out but my mom might move in with me. Should I let her? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 10:17 PM PDT I am moving out not because I hate my mom. I want to be more self-sufficient. I have enough income to live by myself. My mom have enough income to live by her own. However she reacts in a way that I don't care about her if I won't let her move in. I don't want her to feel more disappointed and more stress out. What would you do if you were in this situation? |
Question: Why my parents dysfunctional and they blame me? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 09:43 PM PDT My parents fight for hours at a time and they insult me. Like today my mom blamed me for the problems at home and im like what this has to do with me you and dad in your 50s. Mom said any person who has a daughter like you will be ashamed. Im getting As in college what is wrong with me? Anyway, my mom and dad have lots of problems and they fight almost every day but mom said normal. I feel like crying sometimes because my mom insults me. Why doesn't she support me? She just like ignores me and doesn't give me advice on anything. I feel like im alone why can't my parents get over their differences and are supportive for me, in the end, my mom insults me and she gives me the silent treatment. |
Question: What to do when you have a selfish mother? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 09:15 PM PDT My mom has recently started dating this guy and she moved him in.Mind you,me and my siblings have never met this guy before she moved him in.Everytime we tell her that we are uncomfortable with him being here she gets mad and defensive and says " I'm the adult I pay the bills so if I want to have someone in my house I can." She doesn't care about our opinions she just moved him in.He drinks every single day and he smokes ciggs. My little sister can't even sleep in her room anymore because my moms new bf snores loud and it keeps her up she's 4 years old.My mom has her sleep with my sister and brother and the room isn't that big so they're cramped in there. My mom put my little sisters small mattress in the room and now my 12 year old sister has to sleep on my sisters small mattress cause my little sister wants to sleep on her bed.My mom doesn't care that my 12 year old sister doesn't get to sleep comfortable. All she cares about is that guy and one day he was cussing in front of my four year old sister and she didn't say anything. My sister now cusses and says the F word. When I confronted my mom about her not saying anything when her bf was cussing in front of my sister she just got mad at me.Whaf should I do ? She's really delusional and thinks he's such a good guy when he's not. |
Question: Is 20 old enough to have a baby? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 09:00 PM PDT I have been working in medical coding and billing for a year now. It pays a decent salary. I am engaged to an amazing 26 year old guy with a great career. He works as an accountant and makes more than I do. We are looking at houses right now and we are planning to buy a house with at least 4 rooms because we might want multiple kids. Some people say 20 is on the young side, but I feel like we're ready. |
Posted: 01 Aug 2019 08:20 PM PDT Not going into deep details. So my mom quit her job and started getting into her own little world. She stopped communicating with people. My dad tried to help but my mom refused so yeah. My parents divorced when I was 18 and my brother was 24. We would call and talk to mom and our aunt to see how they're doing. My mom lives in out home state. We took her back there. I lived without my mom for 11 years. I still need her. She never calls us, not even on our birthdays. It still didn't stop us from having a fun birthday. We called instead. Anyways fast foward to present. My aunt is getting older and planing to move. My mom I don't know what she going to do. She isn't working or trying to do anything for herself. Just sitting in the house being lazy. My mom wasn't always like this. She was a good mom, always there for us, fun, loves to sing and dance, and sweet. I miss the mother/daughter days we have together and was there for me when I went through puberty of becoming a young woman. I miss the strong woman my mom used to me but deep down I know that woman is still inside of her. When we visit, she is always happy to see us. We can't help someone that doesn't want help. My aunts and uncles aren't do anything to set our Mama straight. My aunt says I gotta live my own life which is true and I do. I don't feel better until I talk to my mama and her. At least we have other relatives that are there for us. I'm planning to see her for the holidays. I'm turning 30 and I feel like my mom will think I don't need her anymore. I have other mother figures around. I have my aunts and older female cousins. When I see my friends with their mothers, I feel left out. I know there's people with worse mothers and I feel bad for them. My mama needs to get her **** together. I hope I don't end up like her. Okay I'm done ranting. |
Posted: 01 Aug 2019 08:11 PM PDT My mom tries to get rid of all my sister's autistic behaviours. She says that people might think she's weird, not normal, immature or that she isn't raising my sister properly. Once my sister turned 13 or 14, my mom became even more worried about receiving judgement from other people. My mom wants her to appear "normal" so nobody will suspect anything. If anything seems a tiny bit off, she'll remind my sister that people will look at her weird. My sister and my dad doesn't seem to care about other people's minds — it's just my mom who constantly worries about how we appear as a family. |

Question: How to deal or make my relationship with my mom better? Posted: 01 Aug 2019 04:23 PM PDT I am 23 years old am currently an LVN and live at home. My mom is in her mid 50's, she was born and raised in Mexico. Ever since I can remember I have just known that I feel like I am not good enough in my mothers eyes if its intellectually, academically, or physically. When im around her I just dont feel comfortable, as if im walking on egg shells trying not to say the wrong things to tick her off and she wants to micromanage every aspect of my life including who I date. She always tells me that I am wrong somehow about something, She is convinced my gf is cheating on me for one reason or another which I truly believe is not the case we have been together for 2 1/2 years. But I try to not let that affect my judgement and do what I think its right. My sister (20 yr) is very similar to her and would join my mom to put me down on a daily basis but ever since her high school graduation she started to see the mental strain my mother can put on ppl including our Dad although he is never here. My mom has huge trust issues and cant seem to trust anyone from the moment she meets them. She doesn't say anything but just the energy she puts out is so off putting to me. She has done so many things throughout the years and I cant remember them specifically but I just remember how they made me feel. She claims everything she does is for us since we are not done with school yet but it hurts me to see her like this. I just want to know how I can fix this because nothing we say reaches her. |
