Question: I don’t initiate first with others, how can I change this? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 05:49 PM PDT I have a problem with my social skills. When I'm in public and see I people know, I freeze up and wait for them to speak or wave first before I say hi back. I don't initiate anything first with people because I don't wanna bother people when they look busy, so I wait until they say something first to me, but how can I get over this? |

Question: How can you hang with people if you are not a cliquey sticky person? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 03:41 PM PDT Everytime I go into a gang or group of people i get snubbed made fun of or bullied, or at best everyone is passive aggressive with me. Around where I live, if you have no problem rolling with the guys, you wont have any problems getting a girlfriend. However the women rolls with a pack of guys commonly referenced as brothers and bros. Whenever I am around them I get bullied and harassed called gay or soy boy. The women themselves say 'if I hang with this guy (me) I would have to hang with him and do everything alone with him, he couldn't hang with my group of friends because he is not like the way they are. So when I hang with the guys that they roll with, I am accused of being gay and harassed and they say I am not a man, some calls me a male beotch, because they say that I lack the masculinity of a normal man. I get jumped and bullied by them. I tell them I never had a father figure but they don't seem to care. So it is confirmed at I cannot hang with the guys that they are with. The women are telling the truth. What should I do? |
Question: How can I fix this friendship? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 02:07 PM PDT So I have been friends with This girl for about 2 almost 3 years. I am more of a quite person meanwhile she is very outspoken almost to the point where it's too much. She can be very rude sometimes and quite often will hurt my feelings. One time a couple months ago I was really upset with her and so I confided in my other friend about it. And ranted about her to him. I totally forgot about it until last week I was at a pool party with the girl and I noticed she was being kinda weird around me. Once I opened my phone I realized why. She somehow had found out my password and gone into my phone and searched her name up in my message history and read the chat between me and the guy about her. I didn't know what to do and we both weren't saying anything so I decided to start a conversation about it with her. I tried to apologize for what I said telling her what her friendship meant to me etc. but she wasn't having any of it she basically told me off saying she didn't want to be my friend anymore and that I was toxic. So now we haven't talked in a week and things are still very tense. I don't know what to do and I'm very heartbroken. |
Question: What should I say to someone I no longer care about if they mention their tragic loss? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 01:53 PM PDT This might be long...A woman I used to be close to in college cut all ties with me 6-8 years ago. It was due to a conflict I had with her husband. Anyway, she recently sent me a friend request on Facebook out of the blue. It totally surprised me. I found out through a mutual friend that her first born died as a baby. She has another baby now. She posts about both children constantly on Facebook. She hasn't reached out to me to explain the friend request (which I accepted to be nice, but I don't really care about her anymore). I'm worried if she does send a message, we'll "catch up" and she'll tell me about her first child. How am I supposed to respond? I don't want to be rude to her. I also kind of want to send a message to ask why she sent the friend request. When I was close to her, she loved using Facebook to stalk people she used to know so she could make fun of them. I figure that's what this is since she didn't send a message weeks ago when I accepted her request. I want to call her out on that if it's the case so I can simply block her and move on. But if she really does want to make amends, I guess I'd be open to it. Mutual friends have said she's done a lot of growing up these past several years, but I don't know if we could ever get back what she threw away. |
Posted: 02 Jul 2019 01:12 PM PDT A friend of mine and me bet on a video game we played and he lost. He made the bet and since i won i am allowed to put anything i want down the front of his pants (it should be uncomfortable or hurt) |
Question: Is My friend taking advantage of me?? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 11:28 AM PDT I've babysat for my friend in different occasions, I did it once for two whole days and she didn't offer to pay me everything she had to say was I'll give you some wings and that just offended me even more because I don't need that. Now she is asking me to do it for a whole week while she goes to work, I started this week and everything was going okay. Today she came to pick him up almost an hour later and she didn't even tell me she was coming late so she gets here and says I went to the gym because I got out of work early. What should I do? How do I charge her for what I'm doing or how do I tell her I don't want to do it anymore |
Question: How can I make friend who have similar interests? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 09:36 AM PDT I don't leave the house all that much mostly because, well, I have nowhere to go, and because I have absolutely no reason to at all. I only hang out with my current "friends" at school, and it's summer. If I don't have lunch or any classes with any of them, well then I'll be, well, friendless, I guess you could say, which is what I'm really hoping for, a reason to make new friends. I enjoy exploring the woods, hiking, exploring abandoned "haunted" places (not necessarily ghosts, but when my mind plays tricks). But NONE of this is an option for me now. I would say I'm close with about seven or so of my family members (cousins included). But most either are going off to college, have animals to take care of, working, or are just too old to do this kind of stuff. Although, my sister does enjoy the "creepy" kind of stuff like me. I have really only have had one close friend in my life, in fifth grade, we were friends before that, but became closer because both of our friends were in different classes. But, we're not friends anymore. I have switched friend groups before, mostly because I wasn't necessarily kicked out, I was just like slowly being pushed to the curb. I feel as if this is happening now. How can I make a few friends who share the same interests, and abandon everyone else? |

Question: How can I find people who have the same interests as me? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 09:19 AM PDT I really do only have a few people that I consider my "friends". Yet they honestly don't care if I'm around. The only reason I hang out around them is so I am not bored all day. They all share the same interests, except me. I have tried the things they like to do, I just don't like it. I never really go out in public by myself, besides school, because I have no reason to (exceptions: guitar lessons, and walking dogs). I want to make a friend or two who enjoy having me around and who share the same interests. I usually do make a few new friends at the start of the school year, but I usually am only friendly with them because someone who I hang around is. |
Question: Roomate has people over every day till 11 pm after classes? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 09:16 AM PDT My roommate is really sweet and on average my room is packed with 7 other people. I said it was fine if she had some friends over but now I m eating my own words. I m here for only a month because it is a month long program we got into for the arts. Yesterday I was taking a shower and one of the girls rudely walked in without knocking and I had to quickly shut the door. I have talked to her about the noise because I cannot talk to my boyfriend or family on the phone because I can t hear them over a bunch of girls. Should I just ride out the month or should I talk to her? I just don t want it to be awkward or confrontational. |
Question: Why did he apologize to me when I was the one in the wrong? will give best answer? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 08:08 AM PDT I completely over-reacted to a friend about a small situation but yet he took all the blame and apologized to me. Nobody has ever apologized to me..not even my mom...so why did he do that? I really was the one in the wrong for over-reacting. please help me to understand for best answer |
Question: Is anybody in their mid to late 20s going through the same things? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 06:55 AM PDT I'm a 26 year old man who feels like he's been left behind. I have a degree in criminal justice and have been staying in shape (for the most part), but I haven't done anything with it yet. I went on my Facebook recently and saw some of my friends from high school and college already married and doing something with their live. Meanwhile I've been working some odd jobs trying to build up the nerve to apply to prescient. **** some of my classmates from college are already cops. I don't feel hate or envy towards them it's just I feel so low right now. I just wanna know that I'm not the only one feeling this way |
Posted: 02 Jul 2019 06:51 AM PDT My cousin has always been a great guy. Lots of friends and very active social life. Well what most people don't know is he's been a low key meth user for about 5 years now. No one has a clue and I never would have guessed either except a family member told me. Well recently something happened and his roomates he shares a house with went through his room and found the drugs and kicked him out because the roomate also had a 14 year old daughter living in that house. So yea understandable he felt betrayed my cousin had that I bthe house all this time where his kid lived. But since then EVERYONE has dropped my cousin like he went from 100 friends and women fighting over him to NO ONE. and it's been this, way a year now. Idk seems odd they'd ALL just decide he's **** cuz he's got a bad habit. He was on the stuff all the years they liked him now just cuz they know about it theyre done with him? Seems he must have done something much worse than that but would you cut off a friend just for meth? |
Question: Is it because I turned him down sexually? Was I being a *****? Should I apologize? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 06:12 AM PDT Btw were both adults. I'm 19 he's 23. Yesterday my guy friend and I were talking about kissing. He asked me if i'd Ever kissed someone before. I said, "Yes, but only once." He said, "Same." I than asked him if he'd ever kissed a girl anywhere other than on the mouth. Big mistake. He said, "No." Than followed by if saying that given the opportunity he'd like to kiss me, all over. I was shocked, so I said, "Umm, thanks." He than told me, he always knew I wanted his D. I, thinking he was teasing asked, "How did you know?" It was only after reading his reply that I knew he wasn't teasing. In his reply he told me in graphic detail about how much he would enjoy giving it to me, as well as, in what positions he'd like to give it to me. This was where I drew the line. I told him very frankly, I was saving myself for my husband and if he wanted to **** he should find someone else. He said, "Alright let's just be friends." .I was relieved and I told him so. He later replied that he didn't like my attitude. This isn't going anywhere and he was done. |
Question: Why is this woman so controlling towards me? Posted: 02 Jul 2019 05:21 AM PDT I became friends with this older woman at my church. She is in her fifties and I am twenty one. I have noticed that she is very controlling, and tells me what to do and sometimes this upsets me because I feel like she gives me bad advice. She has just broke up with her boyfriend of six years. There was this guy I liked in my group at church and one night when I got drunk i told her I liked him. I said he messaged me and asked me to hang out, and showed her the message and she told me he didn't like me, and was just being friendly and that I shouldn't date anyone from church and focus on myself. One time I was texting my friend and I saw she was glaring at me, then after the service she asked me who I was texting and told me I shouldn't be texting a guy. She can't have children, and is past that age, and she told me after getting drunk that I should have a one night stand, get pregnant and then give her the baby. She kept telling me that the bar man fancied me because he gave me my drink for free, and said I should go for him instead of a church guy. When I'm at church helping out I see her just stood there glaring at me. It feels like I can't speak to anyone else in the church she always finds me and speaks to me the entire time She also gets angry with me. If I say something to upset or offend her, she will shout at me. I'm walking on eggshells in case she loses her temper with me and starts shouting at me Why is my friend so controlling towards me |

Posted: 02 Jul 2019 12:39 AM PDT I feel the best years of my life are now behind me. I really wish I could do a few things over in high school, but that ship has sailed. Is this a normal feeling for most people or not because to be honest I'm not sure. I have a few things going for me like a college and a job I like what I want to do with my future. But I feel the best years are truly behind me at this point. |
Question: Which is better? New Mexico or Kentucky? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 11:53 PM PDT Ok so basically my fiance has a friend out in Kentucky who says he should move there and I want to move there and we have a son we are thinking of. Our roommate wants to move to New Mexico just because she has a job offer out there for a mortuary phone answering service job and she can be the manager and make good money and her boss and his family just moved out there. My fiances family wants to go to Kentucky with us and she doesn't like them. I do though. The problem is she has a son who me and my fiance are attached to. What's the best solution and which state is better? |
Question: How do I ask my lady friend for a titjob? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 10:25 PM PDT I'm currently in High school and I have a lady friend whom I've known for many years.i sit with her every day in math class, and I took me until high school to see her as really sexually attractive. We're close to the point that she is comfortable to talk about sexual things and be alone together. I'm curious on how to ask her for a titjob without sounding rude since she has shown me her panties |
Question: Why is my friend ignoring me? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 09:09 PM PDT I have an online friend who I've known for a few years, is a few years older than me, and they haven't messaged me back since November of 2018, when he said he needed a new laptop. I've tried tried to keep the messages to a minimum so as to not seem needy (Merry Christmas and Happy Easter, happy birthday). I tried reaching out to them, saying I miss talking with them and hope we can chat again soon once, and they've still been making frequent posts on the site we used to chat on, yet my messages still go ignored. I really need some advice. I really opened up to this person and felt like we were really close, then they just stopped talking without any explanation, and it really hurts. Should I ask them why they're ignoring me, or should I just give up? |
Question: What to do about a friend that never wants to do anything fun? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 08:45 PM PDT So I don't have very many friends at the moment. I'm in between high school and college and just lost my high school friend group due to one of them being a backstabber. So one of my friends right now is a girl (I'm a strait male, since that matters) we had became friends last summer and developed a really strong friendship and later became more than just friends. Later one of my friends started seeing her behind my back and eventually she left me for him. That's all said and done now and she left him and realizes and regrets everything, and we're back to being friends now (just friends). The issue now is and was last summer is that she wants to hang out a lot but when we do hang out she never wants to do anything fun. All we ever do is drive around or sit in parking lots talking and listening to music, and every now and then go get something to eat or maybe take my truck to some local trails for a while. What should I do about this ? I've tried to bring it up to her that I sometimes find myself bored with doing the same thing over and over and she just says "there's nothing else to do". Granted we do live in Iowa so to a point that is true but there are certainly more things to do then just sit and talk. What should I do ? Pleas don't say just leave her or find new friends because I have other fiends and I know leaving her Is an option I've just been raised to fix **** when it's broke but abandon it |
Posted: 01 Jul 2019 08:28 PM PDT I over-reacted to a message from a friend yesterday. I realize now that I was at fault. My friend sent me a message today but I did not read it since I feel like I need a break from it all for a few days but instead I sent him a "courtesy message" and explained to him that I know I was wrong and I apologized and I told him that I promised to read/respond to his message soon and that I am just taking a "mental health" break for now. My question is...since I explained what is going on to him and apologized, is it okay if I dont read his latest message for a few days so I can get my thoughts together first? or should I at least read it to see what he has to say? will give a best answer. Thanks |
