Ive missed alot of college helping her out i dont mind doing it anyway. but then i try talk to her shes in no way present in the conversation unless its about her, shes never been like this before. or she gets snappy at times and says i dont know how hard things really can get. We have been arguing a lot the most recent one was on Mothers Day when i never sent her a text saying something along the lines off "Hope you doing ok today after all it is mothers day say it must be hard" frankly i forgot it was mothers day in general and the only reason i hadn t messaged her all day until later was because she hadn t replied to my message the night before. not only this i pointed out the fact that i wouldnt say it to anyone else like i wouldnt say to my dad happy mothers day sorry your mums not hear because that just sounds wrong and after saying that she got really mad said i was horrible and not to message her until i get feelings. i just dont know what to do i dont want to fight anymore. i get shes changed but at the same time shes not even trying to meet me half way i get given out to when i say something and given out to when i dont. any ideas anyone |

A guy slapped me in the face 4 times in class today, I was flipped off, and my "friends" ignore me or yell at me. They spill all of their problems on me, ask for my opinion, never take my advice, and tell all of the important things that happen in their life to my other "friends", who also ignore me. I had depression a few months back, but I have gotten it more under control now, but I had thought about suicide for a short time. I went to school one day really upset and feeling worthless, and my friend asked what was wrong. I needed to tell someone, so I started to tell her. She then proceeded to get on her phone, text her boyfriend, and she didn't hear a word I said. She swore she did though and she was like, "Oh, that sucks." I was then like, "Oh, so if I died it would just suck?" and walked away. No one likes me and I feel like an outcast that cannot do anything. What am I supposed to do? |

This is not usually in the case of others, but with me he always says "Hello, (my name)", or "Goodbye, (my name)", which seems strange to me. Posted: 27 Mar 2017 01:46 PM PDT ah so yeah! i hope once i explain myself this won't sound so horrible because damn it feels horrible right now to be fair , i didn't actually 'break' any promises but long story short that's how everyone else (and me) is kind of seeing it. here's the whole shebang over the past few months my friend group kind of befriended a new (super cool girl) named jenny. we got really close and bonded a lot, so when she started liking a guy in our friend group me and 2 other people were the first people she told. i was super honored, and i really thought i could keep that in for her. but after awhile pretty much everyone but him knew, and he started guessing. she was just about ready to tell him, so when we ( me n the dude) walked to eight period together and he asked if it was him i said 'maybe. i don't know. ask jenny', and a slightly more open 'you didn't hear it from me, haha'. but i never told him flat out it was him, he just figured it out around me and i didn't know what to do! really im not so good with people. i could totally have handled the questions better and i realize that now but i didn't know what to say to him? now he went and told everyone he doesn't like her including the 2 most popular girls in our general friend group who;ll tell the whole school. i don't know if it was my fault that he figured it out but i really feel like it could be. i don't want her to be sad, i don't know what to do understandably she's mad, and i feel so bad. help? any advice? |

I ve told my friends several times and asked them to please attend if they can, but none of them seem even the least bit excited for me and it s making me feel really disappointed. Out of about 5 of my closest friends I ve asked to come, one has said she can t (for a decent reason) and the other four haven t even responded. Am I right in feeling let down that they don t care about coming to support me and my class? Posted: 27 Mar 2017 12:30 PM PDT This past fall season I experienced a teammate go to our coach with the intentions of getting myself in trouble/potentially kicked off our team out of pure spite and jealousy. This past fall my crew team competed in one of our most honorable competitions, and the rowers in the boat that would be racing were given the option to chose which coxswain they wanted for the race; they ended up choosing me. Another coxswain who has proven time and time again that she cares more for herself than her team, and has shown little to no effort or abilities ended up becoming jealous that she was not chosen, and therefore went to our coach to tell him that I asked the rowers to pick me for the race. This is entirely untrue, and had my coach not been told by the boat s rowers that I did nothing to promote myself to them, I could potentially have gotten in huge trouble, or even thrown off the team. Yet our coach did nothing to discipline this other coxswain, and she has continued going out of her way to hurt teammates and shame them as often as she can. What can I do about this? Should I bring it to our head of athletics? Our coach and assistant coach both know about the situation and don t care whatsoever. I feel like she s hurting the team and will do anything to benefit herself. |

Everything was fine at first, but then she flipped out on me and my friends because she thought we were going through her stuff (we didn't) and because my friend left his yogurt on her dresser by accident. I gave her a piece of my mind and didn't let her walk over me and my friends. We didn't talk for a week or two after that, then she acted like everything was fine. Then, about 3 weeks ago one of my friend's roommate had a girl over so my friend had nowhere to sleep. My roommate was already sleeping so I figured that it wasn't a big deal since we would only be sleeping. She woke up when he was over and told me to "get him the f**k out". I respected her choice and we left the room. Two nights ago I wasn't in the room so she texted me saying that her boyfriend was coming over. Usually I have no issue with this, but I had to wake up really early the next morning so I told her I was coming back to the room to go to bed. She left the room when I got there, then came back 20 minutes later with her boyfriend. He slept over the night. I don't care that he slept over, I care that she told me my friend couldn't sleep over and she brought her boyfriend to sleep over without asking. She also leaves the light on/talks on the phone until like 2am everyday, then turns the light on in the morning while I'm still sleeping, also being very loud. What should I do? Talking to her solves nothing and my RA isn't helpful. HELP |

In the beginning I simply listened to her but after some time it got really annoying so I tried to change the topic several times. For as long as I can remeber I have always fought with my mam. It s like our personallitys just clash. But the thing is she is super strict compared to my friends parents. I am never able to go out with my friends. All my other friends are aloud to go out drinking and socialising. My parents strictness is having a huge affect on me. I feel so worthless and left out. All my friends are becoming really close and popular, but I m just left on the outside and all because my mam won t just trust me. I have never done ANYTHING for my parents not to trust me. Sandy said that it was unfair (since the teacher only gave out tickets to those who deserve it) and said that she deserved it. She said that she was working super hard and that now she hates the teacher (the one who gave out the tickets). She even told us that we should lose the tickets so she could go (if we don't give the tickets by a certain date, the teacher will pick another student to go to the concert). Is she a good friend? She seems super childish for an 8th grader... ? |

Let me explain myself with some examples: "I have a problem with my internet.Can you come with me when I go to the office of my provider tomorrow?" "I need to copy this book. It has a few thousand pages so it will take a long time, I have to wait here for 1 hour. Do you want to come and join me? We may have a coffee afterwards." "I have to talk to the professor. If you don't have any classes in the afternoon, can you come with me? And if he is not there, could you wait with me in front of his room?" "I need to buy a new hair dryer.Could you come with me to Media Markt on Saturday?" "I have to withdraw money from the bank.Can you walk with me to the bank? The weather is really nice!" "I need to see the doctor for my skin.I have so many pimples. Can you come with me?" "I don't have anything to eat in my fridge.I have to go to the supermarket, wanna join?" "I need to pay my internet bill.Do you want to accompany me?" "My laptop doesn't work properly, can you come to the repair service with me?" ... I usually prefer come up with excuses, but she doesn't give up. I'm tired of saying "no" but she's not tired of asking. Adults should be able to deal with these kind of problems by their own, right? I believe it's really selfish to expect someone else to sacrifice their hours for you everytime, just because you don't want to be alone when you are waiting in the queues. What would you do if you had a friend like this? |

Even my coworkers bully me and run over me. I know it & I don't say nothing because I'm scared because I don't speak right. Like I stutter & I talk with my tongue & fast. I don't know why & people don't understand me because of it even the customers have trouble trying to understand me sometimes. I get picked on about it. Every since 3rd grade, I always try to stay away from people and sit alone but people come around and sit by me & try to coop with me. People say I'm mean because I'm depressed but I'm not I just want to be alone and not bothered because of people. Plus my past and my father death just makes me shut down from the world and I can't be around others. I'm scared to tell because I tried it but I got called a snitch even when I told my mom not to tell and you now what mothers do is tell anyways so I stopped telling her things plus me and her don't have a good relationship so I'm not close to her. Can you help me? This been a life thing and I'm just tired of it. |

They frequently embarrass me and themselves in public, and one of them sometimes has outbursts in which he shouts angrily and behaves in a violent and threatening manner. It's actually pretty frightening. I'm avoiding them as much as I can, but we all attend the same church every weekend, and we all go together. I don't want to just tell them explicitly why I'm ditching them, but I'm really scared that the one guy is going to have one of his outbursts during church at some point. He was really close this past weekend. He was gripping the pew in front of us and getting all tense and stuff. I don't know what to do. It's not that I hate the guy or anything. It's just that I can't deal with his childish tantrums anymore, regardless of whether he can help it. |

| Question: Horrible College Roommate? Posted: 27 Mar 2017 12:21 AM PDT My roommate is just impossible. Right now, it s 3:16 AM and she s doing some kind of arts and craft crap that I know FOR SURE is not school related. I have a 9AM class tomorrow and she knows that I m a light sleeper and often cannot go to sleep when she s awake. She doesn t even try to be quiet or anything of that sort. I spent $20 getting a sleeping mask and earplugs to try and help my situation but they don t help - wearing them makes me uncomfortable and also because the sounds she makes cut through my earplugs. We had an incredibly huge fight on other subjects, and it just makes me not want to talk to her. She s afraid of direct confrontation because she initiated a fight on Facebook message. To summarize, she s staying up to ungodly hours and I want to sleep but I completely, do not, want to be verbal with her, in fear our situation will worsen. It all started when one of my best friend s accounts got hacked and everyone thought it was me. Incidents like these kept happening, and everyone just thought it was me. Eventually the entirety of 6th grade knew about, especially since the assistant principal talked about, although she didn t name any names. My so called friends didn t even care, saying **** like "Who cares what other people think". Now that I am in 7th grade, things have gotten a little better, but not enough for me. Everytime something on Instagram happeneds, people presume its me. I got into a fight with 3 of the most popular kids in our school, and me being the winners, my popularity - or should I say unpopularity - sunk even further. I have no idea what to do, I am depressed, suicidal, lonely, and has anxiety. I have no friends to talk to ab this. They all ignore my texts, or they don t care. |

Anyways, my 15 year old daughter (freshman in highschool) and their 19 year old son are BEST friends. They always hang out, go surfing together (he taught her how to surf) and he even picks her up from school when Im at work. I sometimes get worried because of the age difference, and the boys parents say he smokes a lot of weed. Ive drug tested my daughter and she passes them and says he doesnt pressure her for anything, he treats her like a little sister. Is this weird? | Question: I seen my long time childhood friend today for the first time in many years? Posted: 26 Mar 2017 08:45 PM PDT We knew each other since 5 years old. We grew up together. When he was 16, him and his mother moved to Chicago. We eventually lost contact because I lost his number and my house phone number changed around so much, but today I seen him again for the first time at a convenience store. He apparently moved back to Jersey with his girlfriend. We're both 25. We were both excited to see each other but I could tell he's not same person as use to be. His neck is covered in gang tattoos. He asked me if I like messing around with narcotics. I told him no but I drink alot. He gave me his number and said to call him so we could go to the bar this week. A part of me really wants to cause he was my best friend but I did a little background check on him from when he lived in Chicago and he has a huge criminal history from DWI, assault and battery, possession of a firearm, and cocaine. I dont want to get involved with someone like that but I don't want to just turn him down. What should I do? |
