Posted: 25 Mar 2017 05:53 PM PDT Hi, my cousin always try to inquire about my personal growth (we both are in same profession but different companies) and I usually do not like to share such personal things to anyone (including cousins) but they keep on asking to which I do not reply usually. My nature is I do not interfere other's business and have no interest at all about other's plan in short do not ask me anything and I have no interest to ask. But people keep annoying and in the end they feel bad and behave like I'm rude & selfish. Please advise if this is my mistake or how to deal with such people. Thank you |

I know people will say "dude get a life," but sometimes I just get frustrated when they are rude to me for no apparent reason but I'm just too shocked that moment to say anything, so I express it later in hate messages. They don't know it's me yet. Please don't be rude. Do I just start not let what people say affect me? |

As for you they wanted you to be treated unfairly, screamed at, given attitude, envied by males, bullied, unnoticed by males, and all that. Don't befriend or talk to any female ever again. They are fake, two faced, and backstabbers. They went and reported you in a conversation that you were talking smack about other people. They will become jealous of you and look at you with envy and hatred on day. And it's your doing after not talking to them again. One day their true colors and attitude will show as well. And on that day you will have the final laugh. Don't feel guilty and don't apologize to anyone. Because if it was them they wouldn't have apologized to you. They would have threatened you with males and made males jealous of you. Don't be scared of anyone because they aren't wolves or lions. Don't tell anyone your secrets. It was online, you had to write your results on a paper. Mine wouldn't load, so I couldn't go on. I wrote down a random number (80) since lots of people got it, however, on the bottom it was a free write, and my friend decided to take my paper and copy it word for word. I didn't even say she could. The teacher in this class hates me, like no joke. Yells at me over the stupidest stuff, one time, breathing "too loudly" when I was so quiet. She thinks I'm disrespectful for no reason, and all I do is help her out, so I can't just tell her when she confronts me, and think I copied. This happened similar before, but not on a quiz, she yelled at me for "walking out of her class" when we were allowed to that day. when everyone did it including my friend, and I said "oh but (friend) did it" and she said "wow,great friend, way to rat your best friend out." So I don't know what to do. What can I do if she confronts me or gives me a 0 due to the fact she hates me. |

He's a man who always greets me or says goodbye to me saying my name. Many times he has said goodbye with a wink and a smile. When we sometimes cross, he also winks at me with a smile. He once spoke to me harshly and then quickly tried to make me feel good by helping me in something that he did not have to do. When he passes by my side sometimes he makes me a joke and waits to my reaction. Also once I had to show a heavy product to a client and as he was by my side he took it and did not let me take it. Once, my partner told him that I was somewhat stressed (because of clients) and, according to her, he stood up quickly and hurried to come to me from his office. He is also very respectful to me, but once I realized that, when I approached him to talk to him, he instinctively raised his hand to put it around my waist, but he lowered it quickly. What do you think? |

I also applied for this scholarship to study abroad in the US (same year, different time). (Since the program was really competitive I thought I'd never be accepted, but I was). The problem is, I don't really have the money to do both. I could scrape by on both trips but then I wouldn't get to really enjoy the trip I've always dreamed of. TL;DR: I don't really want to go on the trip with my friend but if I don't go, she probably won't go and I'll be letting her down. What should I do? What would you do? |

I open my mouth about my interests and I could put you to sleep in 20 seconds. Exactly a 60 mile radius and I have nothing in common with anyone within that radius. I live in a rural area. I don t enjoy hunting, most animals or giant trucks/mudding. (Not trying to offend anyone but those are some of the things I actually hear within my peers) They just don t interest me. I m the kind of person who would rather be inside, on a computer or playing a video game. Because I like those things I am an outcast everywhere I go. I sit alone at lunch. I talk to no one. I don t do anything after school or on the weekends. No one finds me even the slightest bit interesting. I was registered to go, but tryouts ended yesterday, and unfortunately I got cut. I still have the option to go on the trip, but I truly have no idea if I should go. On one hand, it is a decently fun trip and I am friends with some of the guys on the team that will be down there, but, on the other, I would be 1 of 24 guys going and the only one who didn't make the team. Given my social anxiety, this would be a very awkward thing for me and there's ultimately little gain for me, since I am not even on the team. There was 2 other friends of ours at the house visiting too. One of my friends, Carol, brought her younger sister with her. Her younger sister (6 years old) wanted to tell us that she named a character "Sannuthii" in a fairytale she's making. One of the friends also had the name Sannuthii who was visiting the house was surprised and started telling Carol that her younger sister has to get permission to use her name because it's unique but if the name is more common like Carol then you don't need permission. I personally thought this was pretty stupid. I mean, no matter how unique the name is, you don't own it. Also names are not copyright, since nobody owns them. Also I found it kind of rude when she said "if the name is unique you need permission but if it's more common like Carol's name you don't need permission." That girl is kind of saying her name is more special than Carol's and deserves more privacy. I don't agree with this at all. I think every name is special. What's your opinion and thoughts on this? |

I m really proud of that, because it s not easy being far away from home and adjusting to different cultures. I was talking to a friend about the time I lived in Ireland. This was when I first started living abroad for work, so I think she forgot that I lived there. I had done a tour a few years after I lived in Ireland that she knew about. When I said I lived in Ireland, she kind of disdainfully said "but did you live there though or just travel there"? I said, "I lived there!" and she said "for how long"? (I lived there for a year!) I went from going from a small town to a very large double the size town making the amount of people in the school almost double. I would consider myself an attractive introvert under the term. I consider myself good looking and I have had plenty of girlfriends and friends in my old school. Moving here has been tough for me because I currently don't play sports anymore due to my concussion injury in Football freshman year. I have had a hard time finding friends in the new school and can't find a group of people to hang out with on weekends and after school. I can't fit into any of the sport cliques because I don't play any because of the injury. The school doesn't have clubs. I am honestly lost and feel like just keeping my head down and just getting through the next few years and getting good grades so I can look forward to college. | Question: How can I become closer with my online friends? Posted: 25 Mar 2017 09:13 AM PDT I'm 17 and I play lots of online games. About a year ago I made a bunch of friends and we all made a discord together, but I've never really gotten close with any of them... I'm homeschooled and don't have very many friends, so I get pretty lonely. And it makes me sad seeing everyone so close. I feel like the odd one out even though we all met at the same time. I'm a really shy person so I don't use my mic to communicate like everyone else, and I'm terrible at making conversation :/ But I really want to get better! Does anyone have advice on how to basically... start talking to and become closer to people I've already known for a long time? Thanks so much :) |

| Question: How to deal with a friend that talks too much? Posted: 25 Mar 2017 08:57 AM PDT One of my friends likes to talk incessantly to the point that it annoys the hell out of me. It's also very draining too. We were at the zoo and I like to just walk around in near silence and observe the animals and reflect but she kept asking questions and telling me stories. I had to be polite and reply and keeping the conversation going but when there would be a few seconds of silence she would start up again. The tour people in our group even kept looking at her because she would talk over the tour guide. It seems like she doesn't like silence and keeps filling up the spaces with random stories and things to say. I feel like a bad person saying this but she also seems a little immature. We're both 19 but she acts too childish and I'm afraid that it's hurting our friendship. I only invited her with me because I don't like going places alone. How do I tell her nicely to tone down the talking because it's driving me crazy and I'm surprised no one has given her a sermon yet. It was hard not to be rude and tell her to be quiet because I actually wanted to learn things from the tour guide. |

| Question: Would it be lame to try and make friends with my neighbor? Posted: 25 Mar 2017 07:48 AM PDT My neighbor opposite, me and her have never really spoken before. We just haven't really been outside at the same time. Today I took my dog walking in the forest and bumped into her and we talked for a couple of minutes while she made a fuss of my dog. She was out walking on her own, her husband must be out as when I came home his car wasn't there. After I was walking away from her I was thinking I wish I had asked her name. She seems a few years older than me and I'm not sure she's really the kind of person I would hang out with but she seemed kind. I think we both seemed shy and maybe she's lonely like I am at home. Would it be really lame now I've briefly spoken to her to try and make friends or will she just think I'm annoying and weird? |

He is gay and liked someone, that what my friend said he told her and I don't wanna say she told me because I know he will get mad, so I pressured him after school because he hangs out with me everyday. I asked what it was he was talking about and he gave me 5 different scenarios and I told him I know your lying to which he responds "You don't know that, I've lied to you so many times" in a cheerful voice but that really made me feel bad. I asked 3 times what it was he lied about and he was like I don't know I can't remember, I probably didn't. I know that wasn't true because of what he said at the park when I questioned him and he hits me with many different things. I told my friend who told me this to ask him and he said that he just doesn't wanna tell me, I don't know if it's because the guy he likes is close friends with me and that all 3 of us hang out a lot but I can't let this go it hurts how he said he lied to me so many times but I really don't wanna lose him since we are really close, in everyone's eyes we look like best friends but the friend that told me he liked someone said that he doesn't want to admit it. Please help me I don't know anymore. |

Posted: 25 Mar 2017 03:24 AM PDT She'll always be so interested in telling me something, so she'll text me and start a conversation. Then sometimes when I reply, she opens my text but never replies...almost like she's mad at me but I know she isn't because she does this all the time. The next day, she'll text me about something completely different and never bring up the old conversation again. For example: Her: "You have to see what my boyfriend said. Want me to send you the screenshots??" Me: "Yes" Her: opens the text, doesn't reply Her the next day: "so today when I was walking my dog...." Me: "okay, but what about your boyfriend?? You said you'd send me the screenshots??" Her: opens the text, doesn't reply Her a few days later: "have you ever heard of this band??" It's all really weird. Any idea what's going on? |

He's a man who always greets me or says goodbye to me saying my name. Many times he has said goodbye with a wink and a smile. When we sometimes cross, he also winks at me with a smile. He once spoke to me harshly and then quickly tried to make me feel good by helping me in something that he did not have to do. When he passes by my side sometimes he makes me a joke and waits to my reaction. Also once I had to show a heavy product to a client and as he was by my side he took it and did not let me take it. Once, my partner told him that I was somewhat stressed (because of clients) and, according to her, he stood up quickly and hurried to come to me from his office. He is also very respectful to me, but once I realized that, when I approached him to talk to him, he instinctively raised his hand to put it around my waist, but he lowered it quickly. What do you think? |

His partner of 3 years is jealous and controlling and doesn't like his friends. His partner created a new 'rule' that he didn't want him to talk on the phone during the evenings, which is when we talked. So my friend stopped calling and we barely talk any more. He told me "I am not available in the evenings, but if you want to talk you can call me during your work hours." (There is a 3-hour time difference.) How would you react? What would you say? |
