Posted: 15 Mar 2017 05:34 PM PDT I'm a guy and I had a really close friend for 3 years, she would do anything for me. we were so close that I even lend her $800 for rent at the beginning of the year.. But 4 weeks ago we had an argument because she thought I lied to her when I didn't, I softly held her because she was leaving without letting me talk... she later told me she was abused in the past and she said I crossed the line when I Put my hands on her.....i kept Texting here trying to apologize but she blocked me from all her social medias. I sent her a heartfelt apology letter to her house with flowers. Later that week police came to my house that I need to just leave her alone because I could be considered as harassment (She did not tell police I touched her) but I cant stop thinking about the situation, would she ever talk to me when she cools down?? It's been 4 weeks and I miss her like crazy. I know I was wrong !!! But I want my bestfriend back :( |

Posted: 15 Mar 2017 04:37 PM PDT I'm just worried about it, because one of my instructors said it's a mandatory event and it has a lot of extra credit. I'm not really in the bed of extra credit, but since it's a mandatory event, I feel like I have to go there. But I have nobody to hang out with. Of course I have this friend who I talk to sometimes, but she has A LOT of a friends so I don't think I could go sit with her. The rest of my friends aren't in the rotc. Sure I don't have to go but one of my instructors just jumps out of his office and comes here asking me why I'm not going and he keeps replying to answers so loud everybody could hear and it's SO embarrassing!!!!! He always wants me to go to special events. I do have a legit reason: social anxiety and phobia. I don't have anybody to hang out with so why should I go there. He's one of those old people who don't understand ####. WHY CANT HE JUST UNDERSTAND THAT I DONT WANT TO GO!!!! I DONT WANT TO GO SO STOP MAKING ME GO TO A MILITARY BALL!!!!!!!!!!! |

Posted: 15 Mar 2017 03:29 PM PDT For privacy purposes I'm gonna change the names of the cities I've lived in The first thing I want to say is that I'm an extremely shy and introverted person, but once I get to know a person and become good friends I'm extroverted and can't stop talking. After 3rd grade my dad got a promotion in "Dallas". When I got to "Dallas" I was shy but luckily for me I found two good friends who were having trouble meeting people too. As time went on I had a lot of friends in school I would talk to I just didn't hang out with them outside of school. In my 7th-8th grade year I started to hang out with more friends and I moved a little out of my bubble. In fact 8th grade year was my best year because I had a good amount of close friends I would talk to everyday and hang out with. But my dad got another job opportunity in "New Jersey". As of today I'm 3 quarters in my freshman year and I have made no friends whatsoever because I'm shy and introverted. My brother is more outgoing and even all his friends ask him why I'm so shy. It doesn't help that I have a resting b face which makes me look mad all the time which I'm not and I'm also insecure about my teeth(gaps) so people say just smile but I don't want until my braces come off. I know I need to get out of my comfort zone and talk to more people but I need someone to tell me how and what to say and how to approach a person in not a weird way. I also need someone to tell me how I can get the confidence and motivation to do it |

She's loved them since she watched Twister when she was a kid. Since then she's dreamed of being a storm chaser. They both scare me. My friend has posters of tornadoes all over our room. She even has satellite tornadoes those are her favorites. She has Twister and it's sequal Into The Storm we watch both every month. Also she makes me watch shows on the weather channel about tornadoes her favorite show is Top 10 Worst Tornadoes. She's mad that 1974 outbreak isn't number one it should have been. But we watch it every time it's on tv. She said when she graduates college and gets married she and her husband are moving to Oklahoma so she can see tornadoes we rarely get them here. If we do they stay up north or go west of us also they're not very big. We're in Ohio so if she moves she'll be 1,000 miles away. Her dream is to be a storm chaser and work for national weather service. She even calls Oklahoma the Tornado State. Ohio rarely has tornadoes there's only been 2 I know of. We had one in town a few years ago it didn't come our way thank goodness. We're not in a safe place for a tornado. There was one in the 1974 outbreak that hit Xenia / Dayton. That one is special to her because she has family there her dads side is from there we go there almost every year for Christmas. She said if they make a new tornado movie she wants to be in it. Is this a healthy obsession for a teenage girl ? |

We kept in touch through the years and had been very close when we lived in the same country. We had a conversation once that if we didn t meet anyone until we are 30, we will have a child together. When i met him 10 years later he started talking about children and how when he was younger he did not think about that , but now he wants it more and more. We had some wine and ended up having sex that turned into 3 days spent together. The sex was without protection and he was not careful. I know the consequences. He was staying till the end of the month, but never saw him until before he left. I am not pregnant. I did not get std, i got tested, for the ones that will lecture me about that. We had a conversation before he left that didnt explained much like we live in different countries, we changed the dynamics of the friendship and now it s awkward. We spoke on the phone one more time before he left like before and like nothing ever happened. He doesnt initiate communication, just occasionaly likes my instagram posts. She always takes my phone away from me, and starts using it as if it was her own. Steals my pencil case and the pens, hits me if I say something she would consider stupid and always call me dumb when I ask about something I genuinely wanted an answer to. A couple months ago my other best friend started acting a bit like this too. She started taking my pens, and calling me "no one". The two of them are always saying how I'm no one, and asking each other "why is the air talking to me?" And when I say I don't think it's funny, and that it actually hurts me, they tell me it's just a joke and that they just like seeing how offended I get The first friend has also been extremely mean and rude to me most of the time for the last month or so. I'm pretty sure it's because I confronted her about how mean I thought she was towards me. We walk to school together every day and have been for the past 4 years, but now she won't talk to me. Every time I try to start a conversation she just replies in an angry tone or just listens to music with headphones in. She doesn't even make an effort to make conversation. Whenever I act happy around her she keeps being rude. And whenever we have to sit in pairs, those two of my friends always pick each other, even if we can choose to sit three they go for the two spot so I have to sit alone. I have been having problems with the bully since I was in the 4th grade (I'm now in the 8th). He has gotten me in many chokeholds and he has sexually harassed my several times. The school could care less about this child. My friend has been having problems with him since the 6th grade. So far this year, the bully has gotten iss (in-school suspension) for these actions against me and my best friend twice for 1 day. My friend has gotten oss (out-of-school suspension) once for 3 days and has iss for another day. I have not had iss or oss for this bully. My parents have called the school several times and the could care less. It is very difficult for me and my friend to stay away from this bully due to us having many classes with the bully. Me and my friend's parents are seriously considering pressing charges against this bully. What should I do? |

I've only had 1 true friend in my life but I've also had many friends that I thought are just obnoxious which as an example: my friend today yelled at me probably louder than my own mom ever did that I felt so embarrassed infront of my other friends that I just stopped talking, just because "I don't understand sarcasm" and it annoys her. This was only 3 days before so I don t think you could forget about something that quickly but when I text her 30 minutes before asking if she was coming and she said she couldn t because her cousins were still over, she was in her pjs, her hair was a mess, exc. I've become really good friends with my roommate and he's introduced me to his friend group. I told her I'm single and that my son ended up spending the night. She went crazy and I didn't know how to resolve the issue. She asked to come to my house and I told her no but she came anyway and got upset because I wouldn't let her in. Now, she said she apologizes for coming over after I told her not to and asked if we could still be friends. I told her I accept her apology and she said thank you. Is it possible for us to be friends. She text me "Hey you" this morning and I responded immediately with "good morning" then she told me to have a good day and stay warm. During a project in his music class he had to dance. Sad for him he got a bad group and someone bad was the leader of the group. In this project the leader controls everything. The leader tells him to do moves that are embarrassing but told the group too. He agreed to just change and leave my son doing the embarrassing moves alone. Someone else in the bully gang secretly recorded my son dancing somehow and posted the video to some social media and making memes of him using shots from the video. The video is spreading throughout the class.Did not reach other grades though for now.His teachers just don't care. I am not revealing anything else to protect our identity. How can I help my son with this? To make it clear everyone was supposed to do the embarrassing moves but the others except my son were told by the leader to change it and leave my son doing the embarrassing moves. |

I don't really enjoy being in the spotlight or thinking I'm better than everyone else, I just want to seem cool. Like, as a kid I told people that my aunt was a millionaire who lived in Australia and sent me stuff every month (I really had an aunt in australia, but I had never had any contact to her and I'm pretty sure she wasn't rich). Or that I had a rare form of cancer which was why I was missing school (really I was just lazy). The lying stopped for a while, but now it's beginning again. I tell people about super cool or embarrassing stuff that "has happened" to me, but most of it is fake. I'm afraid that people will find out I was lying and question me. Posted: 14 Mar 2017 10:57 PM PDT I'm a freshman in highschool and i feel as if my life is falling apart. i've been ignoring my parents, stuck in drama, loosing friends, trying to keep up with my grades, and i care what people think about or say and if i'm not pretty etc. i'm just so overly sensitive that all this stuff gets to me so much and messes me over. i'm well known in my school, must say. but i've been hanging out with the "bullies" that like my ego has dropped and everything has been sucky, which i do want to avoid but yet i can't. anyways, my parents have high expectations. they want me to go to college, and be a doctor which i wanna do, but i've been giving up. i took a test and didn't answer any questions yet sat there crying to myself and that's the first time ever have i done something like that. i just feel like my life is falling apart and i dont know what to do. |

We ate our food in the classroom and while him and I were talking another boy came up. A partner from my other class. He started talking to me and I was laughing at his jokes as a way to be polite. The whole time my friend was turned around silently eating his food and even his smile was gone.Then he turned around and wrote a A paper I was being "fake" to the other boy. He always knows when I'm being fake. And I silently agreed. We laughed and my friend turned back around. Do you think he was jealous? He's not shy at all |

But recently she has been hanging out with the biggest bully at our school. We're all juniors. The bully is so jive to my friend she makes it seem like she isn't a bully but in reality she tells people to their face that they are ugly, useless, and disgusting. Posted: 14 Mar 2017 08:26 PM PDT Recently I've been having dreams that she's been jealous of me because I do modeling for a living and I'm skinny. We used to talk and laugh all the time but when I would get drunk everything would get out of hand and little did I know I'd be acting crazy. Then she accused me of lying because I got drunk and put a picture of a girl smoking as my profile pic for a day but when I woke up the next day I had no memory of doing it. Then we got in a big fight so long ago she ended up calling me fake, a catfish and a liar over that one picture I put when I was drunk at a bar. Then I had dreams that we were laughing and telling jokes like we normally did and then last night I had a dream that she was on Facebook using all of my pictures and yelled at me when I screamed "Why are you pretending to be me? Take all my pictures down!" And she was crying then popped away. Then a little while ago I find out that I'm unblocked from her after she wanted nothing to do with me for months but she kept talking smack about me to her other friends trying to ruin my life and hurt me for a good month and now all of a sudden its quiet and I'm unblocked and it says "add friend" again. Im thinking maybe she's opened her eyes and realized something I can't put my finger on it i've even stopped drinking to prevent doing stupid stuff. Any advice? |
| Question: Does irritation happen in this situation among friends often? Posted: 14 Mar 2017 08:08 PM PDT There was a time when me and some friends were meeting up somewhere for a certain outing we planned. When one of my friends texted my friend that he had another way of getting somewhere, my friend was kinda annoyed. SO it makes me wonder, does it often happen when changes occur among friends planning that someone will get irritated and when they finally meet up they don't say anythign about it because it's all over? To whom has this happened to? DOES IT HAPPEN to you in where you didn't say anything by the time you meet up? Another reason I ask is because there were times when I had been the one who changed some of the plans that I had told my friends previously, so it also makes me wonder if they got irritated bu they just didn't say anything and let it go. |

I want us to get along but I realized she's incredibly judgmental and so negative and only talks about her kids. I don't have kids myself so I find this hard to bond over. Not to mention I can't handle the negativity. It kills me. She recently confronted me asking me why i've been ignoring her more lately and I just don't know how to tell her I don't think we need to be more than coworkers? It sucks because I get along with other people at work and sometimes she sees that and I feel kind of bad but we just don't click. What can I do to make this less miserable but not awkward? |

Posted: 14 Mar 2017 07:46 PM PDT we've been friends for 3-4 years. we've told each other so many things and have gone through a lot. and i've just about had it with her. ok, that's aggressive, but i don't know what to do anymore. she used to be more understanding when i told her things but now she's gets all "petty" when i express my true feelings. she makes me feel left out all the time and i always think she wants to replace me. i told her that talking about her boyfriend and other friends kind of hurt me and made me insecure because i dont have that many good friends myself or a partner to admire; she says she doesn't get it but i cry all the time about it. she never talks about me on social media like she does sometimes with other friends and idk sometimes i feel like shes ashamed of me because im kind of weird and whatever. im always patient with her when she complains, and i really don't mind it, but its annoying when i cant trust her to care about my feelings; she also ignores my advice when i try to give it to her (its her choice but i dont think shes that grateful for it). i have bpd so sometimes i think im overreacting... im just really sad because some days i love her but other days i want to get away from her. its always about her. she only seems to stick around when i ignore her (and i hate doing that but its the only way). tl;dr i have a friend who doesn't get me, is petty and selfish and doesn't listen to me and i believe takes advantage of me bcus im usually always there. what do i do?!? |

I m currently going to college to be a physical therapist assistant. I miss highschool and all my different classmates, even those who weren t close to me. | Question: Why do more and more of my friends keep growing away from me? Posted: 14 Mar 2017 07:18 PM PDT So I've been friends(and teammates) with many of theses people for years. I've always gotten along just fine with them and everyone else. But for the past couple of months they have not invited me to something unless they knew I heard about it already. I dont know what to do. Some days they are nice to me other days I feel like a loner. I confronted one of them about it and they never gave me a straight answer. They mustve thought I was being over sensitive because now they feel more distant than before. But I still play on the same soccer team as a couple of them and my family is really good friends with their families so I can't just stop talking to them. When ever I try to avoid contact, or try to show them I feel excluded (which I have only done once) they ask if I'm ok, as if they don't know what they have been doing to me. Its weird I used to be somewhat popular, (or so I thought) but know I feel neglected and ignored. It really sucks because I used to be a good student who got all A's but the stress of this situation has made me not be able to focus in class, and has started to make me less self motivated to do, or turn in assignments. Any help on what to do would be great. |

I stayed at my friend's last evening, and fell asleep one the couch. His mom came and woke me up after her husband left for work. She said " go get in my bed. It'll make your back feel better." I hadn't said anything about my back hurting. It seemed a bit strange to me. I've been staying at his house for over ten years now. Never has this situation come up before. | Question: Why has she stopped talking to me? Posted: 14 Mar 2017 05:49 PM PDT I recently left a job and a work colleague kept saying "you will keep in touch with me won't you?" We used to text each other a lot and she would always text me straight back but since I left there she would take days to reply and now she's not text back at all. It's been over a month and although she still likes my posts through Facebook etc she won't text me anymore. She even sent me a nice gift at Christmas and was so kind to me. Did I do something wrong? |
