Both of us are 22 yrs old finishing undergrad. She dorms 1 hour drive away but comes home on the weekends so we can see each other. She is very level headed person except when it comes to her family. She appeases her family's every whim. She treats them in all honesty better than they treat her. While treating family well is wonderful and being family oriented is a great quality, many a time it went overboard. When she puts her family's wants ahead of my needs it becomes a problem. Because of how hard it is to get a solid amount of time together without sacrificing other parts of our lives, I've began to really value my time spent with her. Rather than wait a few minutes for us to finish, she immediately jumped up and answered the phone. It was at this moment I noticed a frightening trend would begin. My gf immediately agrees even though she is with me and doesn't even have her car (she isn't allowed to drive to my house), cutting our time short due to her sister's carelessness about planning a ride home. It would be one thing if the sister was in trouble, which HAS been the case before when I held the sister's head up for 30 minutes to prevent her from puking on herself while driving her back and carrying her into her house. This is a different matter entirely. During spring break, she readily agreed to pick up from school and babysit her little sister (8F) all week. Combined with a 9 PM curfew, I wasn't pleased. The parents don't appreciate anything she does because they now simply expect it Last night, at her dorm, we pulled an all nighter doing work for school, going to bed at 7 am. So i went over to my aunt and uncles house to do a last minute project since i didn't have a printer. It took 6 hours and my aunt helped me. however, during the project her printer ran out of inc and it was late so we had a choice to go and buy a new ink cartridge or one of those cheap 30$ printers. The ink cartridge was a special kind so it was 50$ but it lasts a very long time (about 500 papers). she got the cartridge and made my mom pay for the whole 50 dollars. i feel cheated because i only used a little of her ink maybe 10 pages. she could've got the printer and i could've kept it but instead she got the ink which was more expensive and benefited them more. I'm really upset because this kind of thing shouldn't be a problem in families. This isn't fair, right?

My dad s been "dating" his gf for 2 years. Most narcissistic + rude woman I have met in my life. Me and my mother used to have a fantastic relationship, she used to be my best friend, my rock, but recently, and by recently I mean the past couple of years. Im 21 years old and I feel like i should have a little independence. The woman barely lets me walk to the corner store, she just lets me drive to school because she knows I have to go. Its gotten to the point where she yells at me every 5 minutes. She cannot leave me alone for 5 minutes. shes always blaming me for losing her things, for moving things, and for not paying her bills (should be her responsibility not mine). I cant go out, I cant have friends over, she barely lets me make my own food because the scent "irritates" her. I do believe in respect, especially respect for your parents, but honestly she shows 0 respect and appreciation for me that yelling back or defending myself is the only way that I keep myself sane. I'm a mom of one. Since my husband works most nights, he doesn't usually eat dinner with us but I cook extra for him in case he wants to eat when he gets home or so we have leftovers for other days. My mother also stays with us and occasionally she will eat what I make. Which has been fine because, like I said, I make extra. But more and more there are leftovers that don't even get touched and I feel like we are wasting money because of it. My husband doesn't take leftovers to work (forgets, doesn't feel like it, etc) and I never know when my mother is going to eat the dinner I make. And I don't have the kind of job where I can bring my lunch. My thing is I'm responsible for my son and myself. I'm tired of cooking extra food for others generally, but especially if they aren't going to eat it consistently. We don't have money to play around with like that. I give my young son a varied diet so I'm not feeding him the same thing from the night before, and I'm not going to do different dinners with him. I eat what he eats and vice versa. But I feel everyone else is responsible for themselves. My mother rarely ever cooked for us when I was young and she acts like she can't cook for herself now. That's part of the reason I let her eat our food because otherwise she would just go out and get overpriced pre-made food and she doesn't have the money for it. So am I mean for wanting to just make dinner for my son and self? Because it was just some big fight here like I'm the enemy :/ The problem I have is that why is it that if I don't cook enough they will go out and buy more expensive food? Why can't they be mature and responsible to cook for themselves without me having to tell them? They are adults afterall. Any discussions I try to have and rules I try to enforce are looked at like I'm being ridiculous or a b**** or something. Every other mom I know can set ground rules but if I try it's odd. I'm going through a dispute with my sister about her making my 9 year old nephew clean the toilet. She makes him clean the entire bathroom, wash dishes, clean the living room and take out the trash everyday. My nephew tells me this and I immediately get into a heated argument with my sister. Now she's not upset that her son is being abused, she's upset that her son said something about it. She immediately took her boyfriend's​ side over her own son and I want to call children and families services to get my nephew out of that house but I don't want him sent to foster care. My mother is sick and can't take of him and my girlfriend and I aren't married so I'm sure they won't allow me to get him. Even though if they asked him who do he want to live with, I know he'd say with me. I don't know what to do.

Okay. From ages 9-15, I was sexually abused by my older (half) brother. He never touched me, but he did make me perform sexual acts on him and touch him. I don't know who to tell. So my girlfriend has a father who has mentally abused and manipulated her since she was a child, dealing with it for the past 16 years. Because of this, she's dealing with depression, low self-esteem, self-guilt, and constant threats and punishment from her father. Meanwhile, her Dad treats her brother the opposite way, giving him gifts, being completely lax with him, and overall acting like he's the Second Coming of Christ. I really want to help her with this and get her away from her Dad, is there any advice out there?

Ok so just so you know im not kidding,so before i tell you all there reasons i think this because i was at the basement looking for my little sisters toys we just moved last week but since we have to use a moving truck we were at my aunts house. So anyways i saw a box it had a tiara in it with real diamonds it scratched glass, a bunch of rings and a picture of my grandma wearing the tiara i dont know where i come from everytime i ask my parents they just laugh and say somewhere special (not in a creepy way tho) I finally found her toys and decided to find out more this was yesterday so im kinda sneaky lol idk why but i have a huge house it has 6 rooms 4 bathrooms its a penthouse the rooms on top and the rest on the bottem theres 2 bathrooms ontop. And also i found out my laat name is from a royal desendent i dont renember it though i have a long last name. And the thing that really made me believe is that i renember when i was about 3 my mom gave me hwe old phone to play with we keep all our old stuff in special shoe boxes lol so i looked at the photos and i saw me sitting on a throne and a huge castle like im not kidding there was people behind us i dident ask about it im not kidding about this do you thibk im a princess!?.

So what I mean by "crazy" is like I love her like crazy and I always want to be with her but she loves to far away.. I can go visit during the weekends but it's still not enough time with her.. I suffer from depression and every time I come home from a trip of seeing her I cry because I miss her already and I'm not sure if this is healthy or not.. she's my vent, my aunt, my best friend and she's like a mother to me. Every single day I come home to the constant bickering of my mom "you didn't wash the pan right" , "you are so ungreatful", "all you do is want want want". Every single day, no matter how I approach her (even if I don't at all) she always has to bring something up. I am 16 years old and I guess it's natural for me to he rebellious but I am not that bad. I feel sick to my stomach every time she gets home from her "hard long day at work" of sitting behind a damn counter all day. The thing that really pisses me off is the fact that she will be all nice to me in the morning and make me feel loved and then snatches it right back at night. I despise her and spend hours at night thinking about what she will ***** about next.
