Posted: 30 Mar 2017 03:52 PM PDT My name is Fred, and I was close friends with this girl Monica. we met at school 3 years ago we began to hang out all the time to the point we became really close friends. she was always there for me through all my difficult times, and she told me that I am the only guy that went out of his way to make her smile. but sadly mid February we had an argument in my apartment and she accused me of lying to her. and without letting me say anything she just walked off, i slightly held her to explain my side of the story but she told me to never speak to her again. she messaged me on Facebook telling me that in the past she was abused and I crossed the line when I did not let her leave. I kept trying to text her to apologize but she blocked me from Facebook and even her phone. I sent her a really long heartfelt apology with some flowers to her house but she contacted the police and the police officer told me that I could get charged for harassment if I don't leave her alone. We have not spoken to each other since in the middle of February and I miss her do you think she will speak to me down the road again???? I'm scared she will forget all about me!!!! any advice please |

A really good friend of mine befriended a co-worker. I've met her and hung out with her through my friend a few times. She seemed like a nice lady in her 50's. She left work (where my friend was at) and started working at my job. I can't help but feel like I can't trust her and robbed (like I've even up my power). She likes to ask me a lot about my good friend - questions about her. My friend says she likes to "observe" people and this lady disguises it as "getting to know" someone but I find it rude and almost suspicious that someone would ask questions about someone when they're not there and it makes me feel uncomfortable. It's a bit too nosy and intrusive for my taste. I have no doubt that if she asks me about my friend when it's just us, she asks my friend about me when they're alone and it makes me paranoid. Then there are things both of them will say about me (to me) but from the other person. Like if I share information to the 50 year old, my friend will relay that info to me (and I didn't share it with her). Maybe my personality is different bc I'm not someone who's going to share everything with you, especially when you're a new person I'm getting to know. I'm friendly, easy to get along with but I'm not going beyond that too soon, too quickly. What do you think? |

My peers think that I'm "the smartest person ever" and always "quiet and nice," so it's bizarre that even the "bad" students know who I am. When they see me, they would smile and wave at me like we're familiar or something. I don't even know some of their names. Does/did these kind of things happen to you at school? I'm not close friends with them, but they act very amiable with me, grinning, waving, and etc. I actually thought they would tease me for being a nerd or something. But no. There are more timid, shy students at school, just like me, except they don't excel at my level. The bad kids pick on them all the time but never me. Although I'm reclusive, I have no troubles socializing with people if they approach me first. |

I told him my best friend can be fragile due to her past, that I hope he understands and treats her well. He said he would and he "didn't deserve her". They've been together for 2 years now. He's cheated on her, twice. Not physically but by contacting girls romantically. The first was after 1st anniversary, he was talking to multiple girls. She was destroyed and I saw her at her worst, but he was begging for forgiveness. We were still friends. The second time my best friend saw him on a dating site, and she posed as someone else. he was going to meet her, didn't mention a gf and sent nudes too. She confronted him and he said he "knew it was her all along" which I don't believe. He turned it all on her, saying she was jeopardising the relationship. There's no trust in the relationship. She has been living with him for over a year, it seems convenience keeps her there. I don't feel I can be friends with him, and she knows this. I haven't spoke to him in 5 months. He will be at a group outing soon so I will be civil. knowing how he has made her feel makes me so dissappointed in him and she can do much better. I'm not telling her what to do, she knows I'm there to support her wholeheartedly, but I feel like a burden. I don't have to be friends if I don't want to but through my care for her, I will be civil and treat him as her boyfriend. I feel selfish for some reason. Advice would be helpful! |

She text me yesterday lunchtime saying I hope you've brought a change of clothes from school uniform as she had arranged for us to get our hair cut together at her college and booked the appointment after school time. Her text said to get a different bus straight into town and where and what time to meet. She didn't show up. I spent 2 hours ringing her trying to get through and couldn't and then tried her home phone lots of times and no answer there. I was literally wandering around the college and then town and on my own in the dark for hours. Then my mum rang me saying she had rang our home phone asking to speak to me and my mum said no she's with you isn't she?! So then she rang me and said the appointment got cancelled so she just came home and didn't have any credit to ring me.... She would of given me a lift home but as she had already left I had to pay for another bus home so spent about £10 just on bus fares for nothing. When I told her this she just said "well that's not my problem" and hung up! She didn't even apologize or offer to come and pick me up as she had made the mistake and left me in town and wasted my time! When my mum got home she was so angry with her too. What should I do? Ignore her now? |

He takes my our jewellery and gives it to people at school, takes money (coins), takes things from his friends houses and when questioned about it just lies and lies and lies. He gets grounded from playing with his friends and watching tv etc but he will literally do it an hour later. No matter how many talks we have with him about it, it goes through one ear and out the other. I need some advice on whats causing this and what the next step is for me. Every attempt I have made at meeting people and making friends has been futile. I joined a club in my third semester which did nothing for me friendship wise. Whenever I try talking to people in my classes it never goes anywhere. My roommate was an asshole and all his friends were disrespectful towards my property. A group of kids during one of the floor meetings kicked me in the back and then laughed at me. I introduced myself to two guys in the elevator one time, and they were friendly at first but then as the elevator opened they dashed to get away from me. Every day I go to class hoping I'll meet someone but I never do. Every day is just identical to the last. Everybody else meets new friends immediately as soon as they start college. Everybody else gets invited to fun parties every weekend. Everybody else has wild flings, relationships, and fun stories to tell once they graduate. But I'm almost done college and experienced none of that, and will most likely look back on college with regret. Anybody else have this problem |

There's a lot of neighbors that I see all the time but I haven't made friends with any of them. A lot of my neighbors are really outgoing, always talking to each other. But with me they're short, not rude at all just not trying to converse with me. Once in a while one might make a comment to me or say hi but that's it. I've never had a full conversation with anyone. I wonder what it is about me that is causing this. I don't like to bother me so I usually don't speak to people unless they say hi to me. I try to be a quiet, respectful person. Yesterday for example one of my neighbors, a single guy barely said two words to me even though we were right next to each other for awhile at the clubhouse. He went on and on talking to the other neighbors but barely acknowledged my presence. I wonder if it's something about me that causes this... |

This high school girl who's in the senior year was being bullied anonymously by her schoolmates on ask.fm and Tumblr. She stood up for her for a while. I thought she was just doing what schools teach us and standing up against cyberbullying. Or that she was being nice to the girl by letting her know that someone cares about her. But the thing is... they met up in person after befriending each other online. We both knew that she was real and not a pedophile because she is our guy classmate's older sister even though we never met. The high school is only a block away from our school so I wouldn't be surprised if they could meet up so easily. They're starting to hangout a lot now. Some people make a big deal about the age difference thong when it comes to the grade levels. |

Also, another issue. He uses some illegal drugs. He is a working professional, but unfortunately our group of friends are party people. I don't use any illegal drugs and am really worried about starting something with him and then this will be a major issue for us. He knows how i feel, but he doesn't stop. One thing I've learned over the years....NEVER try to change someone. But in every other way...he is the most wonderful, thoughtful human being on this planet and absolutely my most favorite person too. Dilemas dilemas....what should i do? |

It's his partners favorite movie. He didn't like it. It made him sad. He came to me because he didn't want his boyfriend to see him cry. He hates crying in front of him. Anything that has to do with 9/11 makes him sad. He said he's afraid to cry in front of his boyfriend he doesn't want him to tease him. He's crying really hard. Posted: 29 Mar 2017 09:12 PM PDT My friend from when we were kids chosen to sleep in his car even on a hot day with his windows only cracked to keep the sun out. I have my own spot and I always invite him in and Invite him to come crash on the couch or even take a shower after work but he doesn't want to chill in the house he always declines no matter how dirty he is after work or how tired he is he always chooses to stay outside all day and night and to sleep in his car? He has a family that lives local too but he Lily stops by to visit them and occasionally spend the night there. How can this be? How can I help him? |

She also made an excuse saying I might isolate from the other people because I dont like them. Well its normal to isolate from the others if she talks just to them tbh. Posted: 29 Mar 2017 08:50 PM PDT about a week ago i organized a plan to go to my district fair this friday for my birthday, and i invited two friends: liz and her sister glamiliz. i was really excited @ first, but come to found out they never told their parents about the event. my dad said "leave liz and glamiliz out of this and invite someone else, just in case".. so, i invited my bff marlei. she was really excited and i was too, considering she's terrified of rollercoasters and i was going to take her on all the scary ones.. but now liz and glamiliz both told their parents and now they want to come with marlei. the problem is, i can only invite 2 people. i can't invite 3. i wanna just bring marlei and liz, but how do i kindly un-invite glamiliz? what do i say.. |

She always takes off her shoes at the door when she visits without being asked, no matter what kind of shoes she's wearing or what the weather is like. Naturally, I do the same when I visit her house, but I never asked her why out of fear of offending her. Is this some sort of cultural thing for her or does she just like taking off her shoes indoors? |

| Question: Trouble socializing (Male 16)? Posted: 29 Mar 2017 07:29 PM PDT Hey guys. Im a soft more in high school, and I go to a very blue collar school. Ever since I was young, I've had issues socializing with people. As of now, about everyone in my school has a snap chat and are constantly in communication with each other. I, on the other hand, are quite disconnected from everyone else. The problem here is that I really want to connect myself but everyone thinks I am weird and my low self esteem does not help me that much either. I have about 10 friends, which is decent for a socially awkward kid in high school, but I have never had a friend that is a girl. Junior year is slowly creeping up on me, and the longest conversation I have ever held with a girl has been about three minutes long, and I never talked to her again after that. I really feel f*cked in this position. Some thoughts that go through my head when I am trying to muster up courage to go socialize with people are "Why would they accept me? People think i'm weird" or "I don't wanna embarrass him/her by being around them". Other from that I am doing fine in school, I have decent grades (3.6 gpa). Can anyone give me some advice for some steps I should take to being more social and possibly making friends that are girls? P.S. - Since I am in a very blue collar, uptight school, bullying is not much of an issue whatsoever so I'm not affected by that. |

| Posted: 29 Mar 2017 06:34 PM PDT Okay long story short. I am third violist in my orchestra (hahahha ayes violist *insert viola joke here) this is high school. I practice very very hard. One of my best friends sits in second. The girl who sit still in first steals it every day even though my friend is in honor string and she isn t and my friend is in an outside orchestra and she isn t. Recently my practicing has been seriously paying off and I really think I m better than her. She constantly rushes and her counting skills suck. She s been taking first since the beginning of them year. My next big thing is that her and I both got into honor string this year. Should I sit ahead of her next to my friend or not. Should I ask the teacher. My teacher know she I work really hard but I still would feel like a douche. Should i talk to her or would that make me look bad? |
