Question: Good excuse for calling off? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 02:31 PM PDT Going to cedar point Monday. I want to stay there until 10pm. I work at 6:00 am. If I call off Tuesday I need a good excuse because they'll know I'm full of crap. |
Question: I want to talk to my online friends, but my mom wouldn’t let me. How can I talk to them? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 01:52 PM PDT We live on a one story house, so everyone needs to be away, except for me. What's a good reason for everyone to be out of the house? I can't leave the house myself because I would need Wi-Fi and I don't have any friends that I could visit. What can I do? |

Question: Why did he unfollow me on IG? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 01:44 PM PDT He's the doctor I work with (we're both single he's 34 and I"m 29). What's funny is he had the business account and then he followed me on IG which I found odd that he even know my username. Anyway, he's the guy who one day told me that i'm so strong no one can tell me anything not even my man and smiled. I said he has to respect me he said yes but you have to lower your walls, I said i know i have walls and no one's on my level. He said I know i have walls too, no one's on my levels either. I said well then why are you telling me to lower my walls he said because I'm working on mine. Also, whenever we talk i look him in the eye while talking and find it odd that he at some point has to switch his gaze to the side then bring eyes back. Anyway, this was a tense week and I"m trying to make sense of it. I tried asking him if I could leave early to study he said it's fine by me but doesn't the other office need you. I said know i don't even know why i'm asking you because i don't... he said what smiling you don't work for me I said yes (because he doesn't have a lot of surgeries for me too coordinate he's a new doc) i said so you're not my boss, he said yeah i'm not i'm just the supervisor of this office because he knows I don't like for him to say he's my boss. The other day a patient got upset because I told them they had to pay 200$. The doc talked to him and the patient had said I was rude, I got upset I said well if me trying to help out makes me rude, i won't answer the phone anymore sine it's not my responsibility he smiled at that time. I said I'll let front desk girl handle it and he looked at me and said calm down with his hand. I walked out saying I won't answer the phone anymore. Anyway on Friday, also a patient had told the front desk girl that it seemed like I was the doctor's girlfriend The front desk girl told him, he said what? and she said she thought you're dating and he just said no. That day and all other days I leave about 2 hours early and don't say bye. ON Saturday he watched my story on IG which was my books and tea and then unfollowed me. I'm still following him. This is al so odd. Does this mean he doesn't like me? I cannot fathom what would make him unfollow me? Should I ask him tomorrow? Could he just be upset? |
Question: Hi. I need friend advice ASAP? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 01:42 PM PDT Hi so i posted earlier about how my friend Ashley is staying in my 1b 1b because she just moved out into a town i am in .. we are all in our 20s the friend i made out here like my only friend Morgan is friends with Ashley now thanks to me.. Ashley used to do this thing in high school where she would steal al my friends and stir up drama and it was so annoying and it's happening again. Idk what to do. This morning i had plans with Morgan to go hiking but she was "sleeping" when i went to her house like she texted me saying dude I'm asleep but it was 1:30 pm .. she was out all night with Ashley and i wasn't invited even though i told them i needed a night out all Ashley said it was her friends show so she was just gonna go and so didn't say anything about Morgan going but she went.. and ugh so annoying because she was MY only best friend and i let Ashley in and let her sleep in my bed and let her have her friends over for 2 months FOR FREE. I asked her last night before she left to pitch in 100$ for rent but she said "no" and went out.. then i texted Morgan about it and she FORWARDED MY COMPLAINING TEXT TO ASHLEY AND ASHLEY SAID " my car got towed last night but when i get home I'll get my things and leave" like what???? How are these my friends??? Are these even friends!? Please tell me what to do. I moved out to a new city away from my family 8 months ago and found Morgan and now i feel like I'm alone again.. she was supposed to be my friend for life |

Posted: 04 Aug 2019 12:29 PM PDT I work at a really good factory job. I notice there is drama and gossip. I do ignore it and just do my work. I'm friendly with people and some people I'm cool with. I try to meet people outside of work. I found a good bar where there is bands and some decent regs. I thought about dating too. It's been a few years since I had friends. I only meet co workers or people at a bar. I started playing basketball and I just meet acquences. Dating is my best option. |
Posted: 04 Aug 2019 11:21 AM PDT Hi so. There's my best friend i grew up with, Ashley, and my best friend i made when i moved to a new town, Morgan.. so like a year ago Morgan and i become friends at a job we worked at and quit together and our dogs become bffs like we always hung out and then Ashley came to town (moved here) and didn't have any where to live so i offered my 1b and 1b and also introduced her to my friend.. I'm not rly the girl who has a lot of friends bc i like to keep it small to make room for the good friends that will last a life time.. so they become friends and we all hang out together Ashley has been with me for 1 month now and she's had boys come over and so i have them the bed and she's trashed my place but i confronted her and recently she's been inviting Morgan places like bars and hanging out hut not inviting me.. like what? She's been just doing **** like that and then today Morgan and i had plans to go hiking so i went to her house brought her coffee but guess what? She was still sleeping it was 1pm and we were supposed to go but little did i know that Ashley and Morgan were out all night partying so she was sleeping. I am so tired of just being a option and only here when it's convenient for people like i want to just tell Ashley to get the hell out of my house because I'm done I'm fed up.. i love going out and I'm always working so u think they invite me so i can have fun too? But no I just feel so used and hurt please tell me what to do |

Question: What does it mean when someone says you’re going to wound/hurt them? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 10:29 AM PDT My boss and I were talking with a friend and he was saying I should permanently transfer to another group. But we are really close and I love my job and didn't want to transfer. So while he's saying his plan, where I will go and who will replace me, I started to tear up. His friend overheard the conversation and said how I didn't want to leave and my boss said 'but she's going to wound me'. His friend said 'she'll wound you if she leaves?' and he just looked down. What does that mean? |
Question: Why am I the bad guy all of a sudden? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 09:38 AM PDT I worked my butt off to buy a home two months ago. I invited my best friend who I haven't seen in a long time over, she brought her kids we hung out and had a good time. During this time I can see that we're different now and it's not the same. When she was visiting she was making statements about my choice of decor and that why did I have two extra rooms. I just laughed it off. Two weeks ago, she text/call and asked can her and her kids live there for some time because she's getting evicted. I told her no, with no explanation and that she should try her brother. She tells me his place is too small for her and the kids. I told her no and I'd call her back. The two days ago my sister ask can her six kids and her husband and dog stay with me for three months. I just changed the subject. I don't know if it's me or the fact that people see the extra rooming in my home when they come visit but I just want my space. Now my family and friends are saying I'm a nasty hearted person for saying no and I think I'm all that because I have a home. Any advice on what I should do? I love them but I want my space and I'ma very clean person and their kids will destroy my home and honestly I feel they want have intentions on ever leaving. What do you think? |
Question: I’m in college and I have no friends...? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 08:31 AM PDT I'm going to be a senior. I believe that part of the reason why I don't have any friends is because I don't put myself out there. I constantly fret about my looks so i don't like being seen. I have trust issues due to past friendships and relationships, I'm sure just like anybody else. I'm afraid of getting rejected. I'm tired of sitting in my dorm room sad because I look out and see others enjoying their college of experience. This is my last year of school so I wanted to make it good. How can I branch out without forcing it? |
Question: Could he change his mind about having sex with me? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 08:31 AM PDT I had sex with this guy once and he said it should just be a one time thing after I told him that I think my parents want me to date him. Even though I told that I'm not Interested in having a relationship with or dating him. I honestly don't see him as relationship material. I only told him about my parents because they met him awhile ago where he works. And sometimes they see him when they go shopping. Anyway he told me not to stop sending him my pictures. But why does he want to jerk off to my pictures if he doesn't want sex? Most men who ask me for pictures want sex. Yesterday I left my panties for him at his job. |

Question: Is it weird for him to say this?? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 07:48 AM PDT We work together and honestly whenever we talk obviously looking at eachother with eye contact and as I continue to look him in th eeyes and talk then he manages to look away or look somewhere else then bring his gaze back or has difficulty to talk and keep looking me in the eyes. He always looks away randomly like at a wall then looks back at me or today i turned around and looked him straight in the eyes while talking and he looked up like wth lol. Why could this be? The other day he also said something like "yeah in this copany i'm not even my own boss I said yes then he smiles saying well at least here I'm your boss." Then he looked at me and said you didn't like that did you? I said no. He said I know i said how do you know? he said because no one can say anything to you. Not even your man smiling and looking down. I said yea i'm strong he has to respect me he said yeah but you have to lower your walls with his hand. I said yeah I have walls (but i was blown away that he even noticed this and thought about and brought it up) i was like yeah i'm very picky, no one is on my level. He said no one is on my level either i have walls too. I said well then how would you suggest to bring down my walls he said i don't know i have my walls up too. I said then why are you telling me to bring down my walls? he said because I'm working on mine too. Why is he acting like this? |

Question: Why Are Teenage Girls Rude For No Reason? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 05:07 AM PDT I'm 17 and a girl in highschool. Just recently I discovered some girl took a photo of my face in 8th grade (I've never seen the photo until now) and titled it "why she putting makeup on, it's not gonna help." Although I was more amused than upset, I don't understand why she felt the need to circle my face in red and send that photo of me via Snapchat to her friends. I've literally never spoken a word to her and she decides to target me. She also harassed my friends and I at the lunch tables back in middle school. This is only one of the many incidents that I've encountered with girls my age. What's their problem? |
Question: Who typically pays for a birthday dinner in the U.S.? Posted: 04 Aug 2019 01:21 AM PDT i recently immigrated to the US and had quite a few friends now that i'd like to celebrate with for my birthday. back in my country, the birthday celebrant usually pays the whole bill. sometimes, when the celebrant asks his/her friends to go out, the friends would even ask "it's your treat right?" in a joking non-awkward manner. but of course, the answer to that would be yes. duh. sometimes, friends even chanting that the celebrant pay for the meal. what's more common in america? splitting the bill? the friends paying for the celebrant? celebrant paying for the friends? im still gonna offer to pay, but i was just wondering about how the culture is here. i always thought it was the norm for the celebrant to pay all around the world |

Question: Do u know someone with Hysterical, Paranoid NARCISSISM like this? Posted: 03 Aug 2019 09:20 PM PDT This mutual friend entered out circle years ago, & long story short: he can't get along w/ ANY other SINGLE men. He's so competitive/threatened by us! It goes beyond that; I think it's... hysterical, paranoid narcissism!! He can't say one good thing about the single guys in the group—treating us like we're gigantic losers compared to everyone else, i.e. anyone who's NOT a single guy—he LOVES them instantly for that simple reason! He's so black and white! Some single guys have called him out on it, which he then cowardly backtracks and plays "innocent" and FINALLY says something nice to whoever called him out. This guy is... psycho in my book! He's borderline crazy in how he treats single men. Thoughts? Similar experiences? |

Question: Is it right to do this? Posted: 03 Aug 2019 08:42 PM PDT I'm 15 and I'm quitting an online game. As a gift for my online friends, I wanted to buy each of them some in-game currency. I have around 10 friends, so the total is going to be about $250. My mom obviously isn't going to let me spend that much for an online game. (Even though we can afford it.) I'm thinking of just taking $20 from my mom's purse and after two weeks or so, I would have saved up enough. Now, she isn't going to notice that she's missing money. Is it wrong to do this? I usually listen to what my mom says, but these online friends really helped through some tough times (even with my homework) and I want to thank them (I know I could always go for the thoughtful letter, but I also want to give them something that's worth money.) My mom would never find out, should I do it? |

Question: Why was she keeping this to herself? Posted: 03 Aug 2019 07:21 PM PDT I have known my friend for 30 years. She moved away from my city. For the past 4 years, we have been in contact by phone. All this time went by, she never told me she was ill and her daughter was getting married soon. Had no idea on the other side of the phone, she was now deformed looking due to her illness. When things got too stressful for her, she yelled at me, yelled mean things, sounded deranged and ended our relationship. |
Question: I need help with this? Posted: 03 Aug 2019 07:07 PM PDT I actually have 2 questions. The first one is is it ok for 2 female best friends forever to give each other long hugs? Question: How can I impress this girl? Posted: 03 Aug 2019 06:58 PM PDT I'm a 21 year old guy. 3 years ago, I sent a friend request to a cute girl on social media. She was in my "suggested" and we had mutual friends. She accepted it. Over the years she and I have liked and commented back and forth on each other's posts. I just asked her to meet me for coffee. She said yes! We have never met in person. My question is, is this a date? I didn't call it that. I just asked if she wanted to meet up for coffee. She doesn't have a boyfriend and I don't have a girlfriend. I know that. She's a catch. Very smart and beautiful. I want to impress her. She's a classy girl. Into her studies but very social. |
Question: Can this type of friendship work? Posted: 03 Aug 2019 02:47 PM PDT I am a 30 year old woman from India, who is lawyer, and I have been in the country for 5 years. Over the years I adapted to American culture and made many great friends, but dating is still very hard. I am very tall and full figured at 6'7 300 pounds, and I still have an accent. I would ask out men and get rejected. I met this guy who lives in the neighboring apartment, whose 23 and works as a bartender and fitness instructor. He moved here from Italy and we developed a friendship being international and adapting to American culture. I give him life advice and am his older mentor he goes to about his problems. He is a VERY handsome man 6'2 220 pounds all muscle. After 6 months knowing him I admitted that I was attracted to him and asked if wanted to have sex. He said that I was not his type and he wasn't into women taller than him. I told him that I respected his boundaries and his preferences. I told him about my struggles dating, and he offered to help me with dating and Introduce me to other men. We still hangout as normal friends, and know each-others friends now. He respects the fact I have sexual feelings for him, and is ok with me touching myself when looking at his photos. I respect the fact he isnt sexually attracted to me. He constantly has women throwing themselves at him and sleeps with 2-3 new ones a week. I still struggle with men, but he is actively helping me. Even though there is one sided attraction, we still support each-other and have mutual friends. |
