Question: Is it bad not wanting to have a baby? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 01:05 PM PDT I'm 18, and I am not particularly fond of children. I wold rather spend my years working, advancing my career, going on vacation, exploring the world, etc. However, the only thing I worry about is when I get older I will be alone with no one to help take care of me. Is this bad? |
Question: Is my cousin mentally handicapped? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:47 PM PDT First off she's morbidly obsese, she's 19,4'11" and 250 lbs. she barely graduated high school, but when she did my grandmother gave her $2000 and took her to Paris. She's in community college taking remedial courses, for example her math homework looked like this, 7654+2356....yet she's a science major....she has never held a paying job before. My grandmother and her mother give her an allowance, buy her groceries, pay her phone bills and basically gets her whatever she wants. And here's my stats 5'2" 115 lbs 20 years old (although I know that doesn't matter). Graduated at the top of my class, I was in the accelerated program, I started taking advanced college math and science in the 11th grade. When I graduated i didn't even get a congratulations. I'm in school studying physics, which is reasonable since I've always been advanced in math and science. I've always been self sufficient, at times I would work 2 jobs. If a day comes where I need $5 to buy good, my family would say no, so I haven't asked for any types of assistance since I turned 18. Yet my family completely ignores me. The only reasonable explanation for this in my eyes is my cousin is handicapped. It's annoying because she constantly goes around bragging about how she got this and that and how she's going to Italy etc. my grandmother is buying her a car.....and she doesn't even have a learners permit..but I been saving up for my car by working 2 jobs..and I doubt she'd give me $100 to help out |
Question: I don't want to live anymore... Should i run away from home? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:32 PM PDT My parents daughter (I'm going to call it an IT from now on; i don't refer that ***** to a sister because IT doesn't act like one) is making my hone life worse everyday. I self harm everyday, I wish to die everyday, and I wish I could live with another family or one of my teachers because of IT. IT calls me a *****, stupid, a monkey and dog (a long time ago, but who cares), and so many more things. I'm tired of it. I loved going to school and seeing my teachers. I used to talk to them and stuff like that. Now it's summer break. If things don't get better, I'm running away. I hope i get kidnapped and raped (when someone forces you have sex with them) and killed. I don't want to tell my parents because I dont want them to get mad and that'll make everything worse. Please tell me what to do... Or suggest what I should do. |
Question: Why does my mom get angry every time I salute her? Is this a woman thing? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:20 PM PDT It's not meant to be offensive, I just do it because I'm bored or something, I honestly don't know why I do it. |
Question: My mom is really dumb, and I can t handle her stupidity anymore...? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:14 PM PDT I am the youngest in my family, me and my mom we live in the US, she s 63 and I m only 18,, the rest of my family is in Uzbekistan, I was actually born there and moved to US since 2010. Every single day she starts these stupid fights over things that only makes sense in her own way,, she s kind of person whose brain is full of fairy tales and religious views, she doesn t understand the word reality. She thinks dreams are related to real life. She thinks every person is like her. She thinks the earth is flat. She thinks the sun and moon are things located within earth. She deson t understand or know of the concept of space. She frustrates me a lot and I try to explain things to her all the time and she doesn t remember. And it s just a constant cycle. Her moods are extremes too. (sorry if my english isn t perfect) |
Question: Why do my parents thinks im a bad person, who is disrespectful and distant in the family.? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:11 PM PDT Hi Im 17, male we are 6 in the family. Let me tell you about things to help me elaborate things more.. I was physically disciplined when I was a kid (very, like almost everyday by my grandfather, parents and sometimes my older brother or sister) My mom while tutoring me would hit me if i cant spell words right or cant add, subtract etc. sometimes i get bruises, she hits me if I wont eat my food or wont eat plenty with a hanger or a belt. I have a 4yrs gap younger brother who I fight alot with when I was a kid, i get most of my beatings everytime my younger brother and me fight my dad or mom would hit me or whoever is present. I have strict parents and They were always busy at work so they dont really have time for me or us. My dad would shout at his employees in the morning, afternoon when he gets back from work and at night he would yell at them through phone for mistakes they've done and things they should do (my dad is an engineer and my mom an architect and has their own company with 50+ dumb workers) sometimes he would scold mom for mistakes she did from work and we could hear him ahouting at her. now that you know a brief background of my childhood let me tell you about me now, My parents said from the four of us siblings (Im the 3rd one) im the only one who's been giving them stress who their worrying about. |

Question: Would my sister be the best role model for me? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:10 PM PDT My sister is an adult now but when she was a kid like 16 years old she would sleep with multiple guys everyday for chips and cigarettes, skip school, drink alcohol, and smoke weed. When my mom found out about this she even ran away for awhile. When she came back she dropped out of school but Now she has a HSED.Now as an adult she drinks alcohol under 21 and drive while intoxicated, she still goes around with multiple guys, and do other things that shows she doesn't respect herself.I know her behavior is ok because she's an adult but when we talk she's saying she's being a role model for me and motivating me to do good things.I already have my mind made up I don't want to be like her, we might do some things that are similar maybe like agree on the same thing but that's it.She also trys to yell at me likes she's my parent but I want to know what you think about this and how do you think I should respond to her. |
Question: My mom neglects our cat? Is there anything I can do? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:02 PM PDT Our cat is about 3 years old and is vomiting on a daily basis. She is covered in fleas and not eating as much. Her fur is thinning and is less active but yowling constantly. We have had her for over two years and Mom has never taken her to the vet. To be blunt, she doesn't give two sh*ts about Sox. If I could, I would take her to the vet myself, but I am still too young to drive. Is there any way I can persuade her? |
Question: My brother won t leave me alone? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 12:00 PM PDT My younger brother (12) always comes into my room and demands to know what I m doing and what I ve written. When I say he can t look at what I ve done, he thinks it s funny to try and snatch it from me and read it. He refuses to respect my privacy, and I end up having to throw everything away because of it. He also finds it amusing to switch the lights on and off constantly (they burst very easily), and he sometimes thinks it s funny to pulls down his trousers. Every time I try to speak to him, he pretends he can t hear me and ignores me. He gets very angry very easily, and often snaps at me and our parents. What should I do? |
Question: My mom's new boyfriend...HELP ME!!?!?!? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 11:58 AM PDT I'm a 14 year old girl. My mom recently started hanging out with a guy named Jeffery (I don't want to say names, so let's just call him Jeffery) without letting any of us know and telling me she was going to dinner or lunch with our neighbor or someone from work. I saw their messages(I'm aware it was wrong, but I'd never trade that decision granted everything I know now)back and forth and they made me want to cry. They make plans all of the time and say things to each other that would make me vomit to repeat. He comes over all the time uninvited, he never talks to me, he touches my stuff without even asking me. Oh, and I forgot to mention that they started dating two years before my parents got divorced. It makes me sick. He's disgusting. It makes me extremely uncomfortable to just be near him and breathe the same oxygen. He's unfathomably shady and I have no idea what makes my mother like him. Every time I ask my mom about him, she says nothing's going on and they're just friends. But just today, I told her that I knew it was happening and that I didn't want to be blindsided with a confirmation that they're dating. She said that whatever happens happens, and never considers any of our feelings. He makes my sister, my brothers, my sister's boyfriend, and, of course, myself crazy uncomfortable. He gives everyone weird vibes. She doesn't understand that he's a complete stranger that makes us feel unwelcome at every occasion |
Question: How do you deal with arrogant people? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 11:48 AM PDT I have a couple in my family who are just conceited. They talk proudly of themselves and their kids and criticise the other members of the family with side remarks and it's just so annoying. One treats me like a pushover and talks to me telling me to do things like a five-year-old and they rarely ask me about my life and when they ask about school or whatever they tell me to do things and get certain jobs even if it's not my interest as though I don't know what I want to do with my life when I'm just fine. I ask because when they're around I feel so intimidated, like every move or word is being harshly judged by the way they stare at me sometimes. It's so discomforting and contrasts greatly with everyone else, who are a bit less cynical and judgmental and more caring. |

Question: What should a do about this issue with my niece? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 11:36 AM PDT My sister and brother in law's live minutes away from where I live and their house is dirty. Trash, dirty dishes all around, dog feces on the floor, and everything smells like dog urine. My niece has been bullied by kids in her school because her clothes smell. Their house is so bad they have had child protection service called on them when my niece's teacher did an at home visit. This is only part of it. My bother in law suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder from serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. While my sister claims he is good father and is treating his condition. I think otherwise. His reactions to my niece are extreme. He often yells at her so loud in public others stop and stare. My niece's behavior changes dramatically when he is around. Like a switch. A few my sister's friends have also said they don't like the way my bother in law acts. Also my niece is pretty well behaved at my house. At her house she throws tantrums that sometimes last for hours. She is seven has told my partner and I she want to live with us several times. She has also told my sister the same thing. My niece is showing signs of mental abuse. Behind in school, forgetful, lies, among other things. My partner and I have addressed concerns to my sister which she either waves off or lies about. I am not sure if I should called have child protective service called on them again or what I should do. Any action I do has to be in niece's best interest no matter what. What is your advice. |

Question: Is it shameful if I do this? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 11:33 AM PDT Hi, About 3 months ago, I discovered that one of my favorite entertainers are going on tour. Being that I m only 13, and only getting a bit of allowance for my grades, I had to ask my mom if she could pay for the ticket. My birthday was also only a few days before the show, so I informed her that I would appreciate it if she bought me a ticket for a gift. I also told her I could help her pay with the small amount of money I had, but she said to hold it off. Fast forward to now, and the tour coming in a matter of weeks, I found a really good seat, and even though it s at a high price of $93.00, I looked around and saw that the seats around it on other websites were about $115-$400. There are only 2 more tickets left for the $93.00 ones so I really want to take advantage of the discount. My mom still is really effy about it, so I considered that maybe a friend could pay some of it off to help my mom and I afford it better, as a gift... Is that bad? My friend is at a higher class then me, being more wealthy, since her parents run a lot of business. She always gives me expensive gifts, and I am really grateful, but asking her for this makes me feel guilty. I haven t asked her yet, but... I don t know. Thanks for reading. |

Question: My brother needs help with an addiction...? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 11:16 AM PDT My older brother has this strange addiction of uTorrent. He feels the need to torrent things non-stop, destroying our internet connection in the process. I can't count how many times I'm unable play MMOs or let my friends down during play (or other activities that require stability), all because he can't share the bandwidth. His little addiction of wanting download just about everything he can did catch up to him one day, when the ISP contacted our father about someone in the house downloading a movie illegally. Instead of charging us, they let us go with just a warning to stop doing it. Finally, that opened my father's eyes to talk to my brother about this little habit (because nothing I say gets through to him) and he said he'll stop because he finally got his hands on Netflix. ...But it never stopped. Weeks after that day, he went back to his roots, torrenting MUCH more than movies: Anime, porn; you name it. I even have to sneak in his room to shut that crap off when I can, because he's so unreasonable. Despite the issue of everyone else in the house having to put up with slow internet, it dawned on me that I've actually been worried about him this whole time. No matter how much I tried to apply logic to it, that excessive downloading and the refusal to listen to others can't be healthy at all. Not to mention it'll get my father in a world of trouble if he gets caught again. He needs help, but how do I help someone who doesn't listen to anything anyone tells him? |

Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:43 AM PDT If my dad continues to drive me around everywhere and call me princess and buy me junk food and anything I want when I'm 28 years old, could that be a factor of why I'm scared to go out into the world and become independent and get a job? Question: Please help me ... Nobody loves me .... Been thinking about killing myself? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:16 AM PDT I've been through a lot throughout my 23 years ... My mom has been verbally assaulting me for years I'm not saying I'm the best child in the world but something's are nt called for , when I was younger when she used to go to work and her boyfriend used to beat on me and leave me in the bathroom for hours until she gets off and feed me bread and water like a prisoner ... He'd never touch my sister ... I was rapped before , we even had this later out if no where come and talk to my mother she stated that god told her to come talk to my because I was n the verge if hiring myself because I felt like no one loved me ... Question: Why my parent keeps lecturing me everyday? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:10 AM PDT I don't the lecture. It shows that they love and want me to improve myself. However, it gets really annoying when they lecture me during my stressful or moody hours. Like hello? Do you see my face? I am not interested! I'll listen to your lecture when I'm in a good mood. All they lecture is about me being on a PC desk playing games. No I am not a Fat **** who sits there all day just to play. I got assignments and work to do. 5 days of assignment and work. 2 days of cool off period which is of course gaming session. Yet they still see me as a living piece of ****. Don't you get it? It's like I'm living with Micheal De Santa from that guy GTA V character. I once stayed over at my aunts place for a week. ****, It is PEACEFUL AS ****. No I don't miss their monster lecture. I need a ******* break. Am I wrong? Let me know. |

Question: Why is a tablet more appealing to younger children than a PC? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 10:05 AM PDT |
Question: Mom, Newborn Baby and My Babysitter? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:55 AM PDT My baby is 2 months, my 1st one, and I have already returned to work. I made this decision after talking with my mom and she offered to take care of him while I worked. We had agreed on most things, I would drop him off in the morning, she would meet me half way, the amt of compensation etc. Its been 3 wks and me and my mom have had some friction on the following: 1. She keep saying I'm being over protective and dramatic as far as asking her to make his bottles warm, not to take him out to much, etc. I keep reminding her he's little. 2. She buys things and if they don't work gives them to me and wants me to return them, exchange them etc. I told her that's fine but I'll do it when I have time. 3. She keeps telling my son your mother is dramatic, your dad is silly etc I don't like those kind of comments – he's little right now, but I know he understands. 4. When she buys things its been brought up that she wants me to pay for some of it. I bought her everything I thought was reasonable and needed at my price point – a swing, a playpen, changing table etc to make it easy… I provide change of clothes, bottles, water, milk, but I think anything that she purchases should not fall back on me. I will buy him what I can when I can. 5. My mom also babysits my nieces and recently I've asked her what time we're meeting and she totally blows me off. It makes me upset because I have to plan my day. I told her if she can't do it to let me know. This whole thing is spiraling out of control. |
Question: Can you get your kids back from foster care? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:37 AM PDT Its a loooonnggg story but im gonna try to make is as short as possible. My mom and dad split recently and my 2 little brothers had to go live with my aunt but she is no longer able to care for them because it is summer time and school is out and she works everyday. My mom has struggled with drug addiction (pills) and she is detoxing right now and my dad is in a very crowded house with family so they are unable to take them. And there is absolutely no way i can take them (im the older sister). And alot of my family is not very well off in life so there not really any chance they can take them either. So is it possible for them to go to foster care or something like that for like 2 weeks and be able to come back? |
Question: My dad is so strict? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:35 AM PDT Okay so I'm a 15 year old girl from Lebanon but I live in England and Im a Muslim. My friends like to go out every weekend till really late and sleep at eachothers house all the time , however my dad hardly lets me go to their house and he lets me out about once a month! And I have to be home at 8pm my friends are allowed out till whenever . They have asked me in the past go parties ect but they know how strict my dad is and they respect it and don't judge me . But I'm really depressed all the time because I have to stay home nearly 24/7 and I'm not even allowed on my phone at night because my dad thinks I'm speaking to a boy or something , he doesn't trust me with anything and there's nothing I can do to change it so please don't tell me to try and talk to him because we're Muslims and its life. But how do I accept it and not feel upset thank you |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:29 AM PDT Okay so my baby's real father doesn't do anything for him when it comes down to being that father figure to show and teach him things a mother can't. Well I tried numerous of times in the past to get him to help but nothing ever worked. the child is 2 years old now almost 3. I am in a relationship right now and my current boyfriend loves the child and does the fatherly things with him. The child has an event coming up for Father's Day should I try again with the real dad even though I know he will have an excuse as to why he won't go or should I just leave it alone ?? |
Question: Is it legal to put a camera in your sons room without him knowing? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:12 AM PDT So about half a year ago I got a package in the mail, wich according to my parents was a gift from my grandparents. It was a teddy bear. Since they was visiting us soon I sat it on a shelf over the door in my room, in case they would ask what I thought about it. I don't play with these kinda toys annymore, so it has just been sitting there looking over my room untill I knocked it down accidentaly. I did not notice it when it was new, but its nose is a camera! I told my parents and they knew, it was them who asked my grandparents to buy it as a excuse to get a camera into my room, that means they have seen everything I have done in that room! I don't want my parents to know when I mastrubate or if I sneak in a girl with me, they are not supposed to know such things! |
Question: How do you say no to your grandma? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 09:03 AM PDT I started mowing lawns when I was 11 and hers is one of them. Over the years, and my grandpas death 4 years ago, she has gradually been asking me to do more and more stuff around the property. Things like tree removal and gardening and cleaning the house and gutters. She is the only client of mine that goes above and beyond what is asked of me ( I usually just mow the lawn and leave) and it is starting to bother me. I understand she is a little old lady but it gets to the point where she calls me 3 times a week to do some "small jobs" in her eyes that take upwards of 5 hours. How do I say no to her when she asks me to help or suggest that she gets a real company? |
Question: Wheres the best place for a big family to eat out.? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 08:58 AM PDT My family always struggle to find somewhere we all enjoy and can afford. Question: Should I tell my mother when I'm in the delivery room? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 08:58 AM PDT My stepdad sexually assaulted my little sister when she was 8 years old. My mom knows and is still with him. When I become a parent I will be crazily protective. I would never allow him to come to the delivery room or have a place in my children's life. But wherever my mom goes, he goes. What should I do? Allowing him to go near my children is not an option. Thank you. My mom keeps us in this cycle of being indebted to him since he helps pay rent and drove us to school/ events in our childhood. If we chose to get away/ stop contact, everyone would just assume we're ungrateful children. Not that I care, I just don't think he should have a right to want to see us once I'm out of college (I have a full scholarship) and am financially responsible for myself. |
Question: I feel like my mom doesn't care about me. Am I overreacting? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 08:53 AM PDT I've never felt a bond between me and my mom. She has two jobs, so I'm alone a lot. She doesn't cook, she just gets food for us. Luckily, I'm not overweight. I have to make breakfast and lunch for myself, but I rarely do so because I don't want to get up and do anything. Whenever she's off work, she doesn't want to talk to me. She even complains about me being all over her. I try to be normal, but she keeps posting how frustrated she is about me on Facebook. I can't tell her how I feel and now I feel like a lightbulb so burned out in my life. I always feel jealous of my friend because she has a mother that is like a sister or best friend. I have no one to talk to. She thinks I sleep all the time because I'm bored or don't want to do things, but I do it because I'm exhausted. She has never abused me, so I don't think I really have the right to complain. |

Question: How masculine/macho am I? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 08:01 AM PDT I'm a person forced into this identity by my dad who would blame, scold and boss me for everything around the home where I am now inclined to doing those chores just to prevent him from doing those things I really hate. He's been doing this to me ever since I missed out on attending a program where people get hairstyle ideas, dance moves and a way of thinking when he and my mum took my teen siblings and eldest sibling. He also blacklisted me from such programs before he went on and forced this crappy identity in me. I have always been the self-conscious, non-violent, non-condescending, non-rebellious child of the family who even had natural tendencies to following trends well before my siblings attended. |

Question: Why does my aunt and uncle put $$$$ as #1? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 07:24 AM PDT When my uncle had a seizure, he called my mom for help and she put him on my sis bed in our house. I asked my mom why did they not call ambulance? She said becuz it cost $$$. My uncle and aunt has marriage issues. Aunt feels low self esteem, insecure, & she is mean. My uncle makes 120,000 dollars a year. Why dont they get marriage counseling? They could fix their marriage and be happy. My aunt came from a poor family, & she wants to be rich. She hates me, mom, and my other aunts? If she is not happy with her look, why doesnt she get a makeover? |
Question: Why are my cousins aggressive? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 07:17 AM PDT So im 13 yr old girl and i was watching Bride of Chucky with him. I was eating popcorn & he was scoffing at my belly fat. He did stare at boobs on tv. His expression was like WTF. I was like "dude". His mom is stingy, low self esteem, is considered ugly. I one time offered a pear for breakfast and he is like no thanx fat ****. He did mention that his mom feeds him little, & that he hates her. He and his 7 yr old sis has low self esteem (they r homeschooled), they make fun of me behind my back, they r negative. Their mom is aggressive, doesnt cook for them, seems distant from her kids. She hates me for no reason, insults me, & puts me down. Idk if she was jealous becuz i was young/better looking. But she puts $ as priority. Idk if that cause kids to feel unwanted or unloved since their mom pays more attention to $. Cuzins' parents argue a lot! Their 3 yo daughter said ***** ***** ******* ***** in their car and parents r like :| we dont care. |

Question: Alcoholic Father Hatred? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 06:19 AM PDT Ever since I was young I have hated my father... He used to say things like "You're a horrible bast***" etc... and continues to this day. I'm 17 right now and trying to study my A levels but feel like he is too much. The reason that he acts so badly is that he is an alcoholic. He ruins most days of my life and gets treated like a king in the household.. I hate him. Every day he argues atleast 2-3 times with my mother of which I feel sorry for as she does not want to leave. I always try to get away from him, and escape to my computer where I spend countless hours gaming and feel that I am too depressed to go anywhere anymore. I am Overweight, my father calls me and my mother "fat c***". He is always calling me a disgrace despite the fact that he is a pathetic man. He always gets drunk, spends all of his money to come home maybe fall over outside infront of neighbours - EMBARRASSING. He comes in to verbally abuse all of us. When he has spent his money, he either lays in bed asking for us to make him cups of tea etc. all day long without moving his lazy *** or he comes downstairs and argues.. usually due to the fact he has no money and is therefore very snappy with my mother. He is always putting our family down and I hate him for it. We occasionally go out to places and he gets too drunk, one time we went to butlins he got kicked out of the park, he went home.. **** the bed and my mother cleans it all up. We cannot have a decent family holiday without him going and drinking. |
Question: MY LIE HAS BEEN ****** UP!? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 06:13 AM PDT So I had to fill in some scholarship papers, that I lost. I just remembered them yesterday, so I went and asked for them at that girl that gives them out at our school. Anyway, I gave the paper to my parents yesterday, saying that I didn't know about htem and that that lady found me by accident and asked them papers from me, as tomorrow (TODAY) the deadline is for those papers. I filled the papers in yesterday and my parents filled in the information they had to fill in. They are pissed with school because "school didn't inform me earlier". SO today, this morning my mum took the papers to school, and some info seemed to be wrong. So my dad has to go in a bit to school straight after work and fix it. He ovvi doesn't know the truth, and the day they gave us the papers, the day I lost it, we had to sign that we got them. So if he goes to that teacher now, what will happen if he sees my signature from a month ago???? I am screwed, aren't I? Sorry for the shitty spelling a use of words btw... I am so stressed right now! ARGGG...! |
Question: Can a person be shorter than his parents? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 05:36 AM PDT I'm 5'4 my father is 5'7 my mom is 5'6 Is it possible to shorter than both parents?! |
Question: Should I spend the money! (I'm 13)? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 05:10 AM PDT I'm going to North Carolina to do a missions trip with my church, away from my family. I want to capture it on camera, the problem is that my PHONE CAM JUST BROKE! I had a lot of protectors but they failed and my screen cracked right over my front camera. A repair is $100 dollars and I have the money (barley) but I don't know if it's worth it? My aunt may be sending me her old phone once she gets a new one since (in about 6-7 months) none of her kids like Apple--but I think i'll give that to my mother or sister if she does give it to me, since I'm younger. I babysit and am working on getting more dog walking and babysitting jobs soon, and soon will be making 15 dollars a week for about 2 months. I just don't know if it's worth $100 dollars to fix a camera on a phone. What do you think I should do? |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 04:58 AM PDT My fiancés daughter (I know we re not married yet but will be very soon) can be very lazy, she s 17, and he is constantly yelling at her. They probably fight almost everyday and I always just walk away cause I don t want to get involved or listen to it. Well last night while we were having dinner he got mad over one thing she didn t do and started screaming at her while she was trying to explain it to him but he wouldn t listen and just yelled louder. I couldn t take it anymore and I calmly tried to tell him the point she was trying to get across to him and he starts yelling at me about her so I told him to stop screaming it s not helping anything nor does it ever and he yelled it s none of my business. That hurt more than anything. I get she s not my kid and I never tell him how to raise her but I think it s my business to a point when he wants me to be apart of his family. Especially when I have to listen to him yell at her everyday over dumb crap and constantly ruining dinner (cause that s the only time we are all together). any thoughts? |
Question: My parents don t accept me anymore..? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 04:44 AM PDT I m a 15 year old girl with an older sibling. My parents were always good for her, but they always abuse me. When i was 10 my parents divorced and i started to live with my dad but he was always abusing me, he was insulting me a lot and beating me up. When i turned 13 i moved to my mothers home and she got married last year. But she changed a lot after she got married, she started to abuse me too. A few weeks ago my mom and stepdad went out for drinking (they are drunk most of the time already so...) and they came home at like 3 am. and my stepdad tried to rape me. Then i called police, but he didn t go to jail... After that day, he started to hit me too and my mom wasn t saying anything. And then they kicked me out from the house and my dad said he doesn t want me in his home. I went to police again, but they didn t do anything. So i m staying at my friends home for now. I can t go to my sisters home because she lives in another country and she is married. I don t know what to do anymore.. I m so afraid to talk to my parents and i feel like a guilty for no reason... What should i do? Please help me! |
Question: How do I respond to "You never do anything for us"? Posted: 03 Jun 2016 04:19 AM PDT I am the youngest son in the family (aged 21). I do a lot for my family; clean the house, lend money, buy groceries, fix things, etc.. Whenever there's a problem, you'll hear my name being called, and I will fix it. However, when I am tired, not in the mood, or just about to leave/be busy and I am asked to do any of those things, I reply with "I can't right now" or "I'll do it in a while". Once I say that, I get the "you never do anything for us" response. How do I counter this, when clearly I do more than I can on a daily basis? |

Posted: 03 Jun 2016 02:58 AM PDT I have learning disabilities and mild autism so I sometimes accidentally violate social boundaries though much less then I used to. I fear people won't like me because of this. In my early twenties I used to impose on people a little like stalking, it is ten years later and I do not anymore at all. I fear I accidentally will goof up once and never again be forgiven. How do I get over this fear? |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 02:52 AM PDT I am afraid I will accidentally say his previous name because of disrespectful comments I have heard others make |
Posted: 03 Jun 2016 02:30 AM PDT I am not sure if I am depressed, I have an alcoholic father who cares about nobody but himself. I am 17 years old and over the years the hatred for my father has grown immensely. he had an accident, he was hit by a car and was left with a blood clott to the brain. From a young age my father would hate being corrected - he was always arrogant. He told me at ages of primary school that he hated me and it has always stuck. I am currently overweight, and my father constantly reminds me of this as he comes home drunk - "Overweight pr*ck" etc. are always popping up - I believe this has led to low self esteem as he tends to remind me of this even when sober. I am constantly reminded. Even the night before my prom.. This year I have been in college studying 4 A levels adding to the stress. My father always goes out and spends any money he gets, atleast £40 a day is spent on booze and gambling. He gets drunk then comes home only to fall everywhere sometimes neighbours have to go and bring him from outside into the house if they spot him.. this is usually due to not only his fixed foot as a result of the accident but the fact that he gets so drunk that he can barely stand. EMBARRASSING when he sees my friends My brothers and sisters, atleast 2 have got a lot of depression.. probably due to my father. My brother has had the worst year as he has a lot of illnesses as a result of type 1 diabetes - he attempted suicide. I never want to go anywhere and resort to gaming as an escape. |
