| Posted: 02 Nov 2016 06:02 PM PDT So I'm friends with these girls and I recently became friends with them about a month ago, and I'm hanging out with three of hem Tomorrow and my friends lied to one of our friends because they didn't invite her to go because my friend can only have a certain amount of people at her house, and the girl they didn't invite just texted me and asked me if I wanted to hang out with her tomorrow and I didn't know they didn't invite her so I told her and she said that the friend who's house it was couldn't have anyone over and so I got confused and told her that I didn't Know and I asked one Of my other friends and she explained to me that they didn't invite her and the last thing I said to the friend wanting to hang out saying "Lemme find out what the plan Is. And now I don't know what to say. Help??? What do you I tell the one who wants to hang out?? |

Last April he was diagnosed with cancer, and we rarely talked. I lost contact with him in July, and got really worried. My friend who introduced him to me told me he had died, but she sounded like she wasn't sure. I have no way to contact his family, and I can't find any obituary or anything. How do I know he really is gone? |

The "enemy" and I used to be so-called friends, you know, despite the fact she's a fake, gossiping, immature backstabber who bullied me a countless number of times and made fun of my flaws and dared say the nastiest insults right to my face for her own enjoyment... And told everybody she's embarrassed to be seen with someone the likes of me since I'm not in the popular crowd and have a "lame" social status for that reason. This is the girl who I got into an argument with pretty much every week of our friendship because we couldn't stand each other. Yeah... We don't talk anymore. She randomly started to ignore me last month which I'm thankful for. I'm extremely good at giving people the cold shoulder and no, I don't feel the least bit sorry about the fact I never initiated conversation with her because I've always secretly hated her. Her "best friend" and I have been friends for a while and even though it is quite difficult for me to trust people, I know this friend is much more genuine and real. The thing is, SHOULD I trust her? It's very awkward. Whenever I am with this friend, the enemy comes along and we'll just glare at each other and she'll start talking about me the second I get up to leave, also ignores me the entire time. Fun, right? I've wanted to get rid of this person for a while, and I don't want anything to do with her but I am too shy to say anything to my actual friend, that I despise her best friend. Should I just do it? I texted my (guy) friend that I wanted to end my life, and I told him about the plan. He went to a different school...so he told his school principal and the principal call my school. My counselor took me out of class, they questioned me and called my parents. My parents are very traditional Muslims so they didn't understand. They got upset and yelled at me. I was crying the whole time, Telling them that there was nothing wrong. They took my in Hospital, and I denied everything. They didn't discharge me tho. They forced me to stay. I was hospitalized for a week. The first few days were awful. But I got used to it, every day My guy friend would come to visit me. We would walk around the hospital, mess with the beds, talk to the nurses. I had an amazing roommate, she was a teacher, and she taught me so much. My friend and I started to fall for each other. My guy friend asked the nurses if it was ok to kiss in the hospital, and when we would walk around the hospital they nurses would grin. We didn't end up kissing, but we laid on the hospital bed looking into each other's eyes and holding hands, and eat ice cream, he would bring me food, and books. He would make me feel so loved. I fell in love with him. After I was discharged, we would walk in the woods, but we had to stop seeing each other due to religion differences and our parents... |

My parents, brothers, and friends just wished me in the morning and that is it. I am not a party person but it would have been a little nice they planned something, may be even a dinner or a cake. But nothing. And I am always going out my way to make everyone's birthday really great. Surprises, cakes, gifts, food, everything. The part that really bummed me was that not even my best friends did anything when I respect them more and I am even very close to them. No one asked me how my day went. It really hurt me. I am always helping people and being there when they need it. They cannot be by my side when in hard times (that might require effort) but they cannot even call or send a text about the plans or my day went. I stopped expecting from people a very long time ago. But, i thought a little expectation like simple as talking on my birthday would not be too much. I guess it is too much. And no I would not stop giving them a great birthday or being by them when they need me. I just wanted to share how bad I felt. Any advice on how to stop feeling so shi**y Thank you. |

But last week, she did something really dumb so I finally said "you know what, I'm done" and stopped talking to her. A week and a half later, it's her birthday. Tomorrow to be specific. I feel like I should say happy birthday and explain why I cut her off and then try to be friends again but apart of me is like, no, you've already cut her off, leave things the way they are. If I don't say happy birthday then that'll probably end our friendship for good. I also don't want to say happy birthday then get a vague response or no response at all, cuz then I'd have put my pride aside for nothing and will look dumb. But yeah I don't know what I should do and I only have a few hours left. Can you guys help? She was a little sad too when she found out that I cut her off so I don't know if that should dictate my decision. Unfortunately, we also fight constantly. I've been going through an extremely rough patch lately. I've opened up to her about suicidal thoughts and she has helped me a lot. This weekend we were at a day drink and we got in an argument. She attacked me saying "go cut yourself", "you're gonna be dead" and "do it now" (in terms of killing myself), and called me ****** up and a psycho. Obviously my other roommates and friends were disgusted so everyone is not talking to her. I ripped off the picture of me on my wall and hers and destroyed notes we wrote to each other. She sobered up and has since saturday been trying to apologize like crazy. stating that she has anger and drinking issues, that she didn't mean it and she was gonna go to a therapist to work through her issues. I'm so betrayed by this after all we've been through. She has cried to me apologizing and is giving me my space. We are so close, and I wan't so bad to forgive her, but none of our friends think i should. |

And I m talking BEST friend. Like we re so close. She got some cushions and put them in the back of her SUV and we chilled there, had some pizza, and cuddled for a while. After a while though, things escalated and I ended up fingering her, and she jerked me and sucked me off. Everything at that time was good. She was afraid she was going to feel bad about it afterwards, and I figured I was going to be fine. But life pulled the old switcheroo, and I felt bad about it and she felt fine. We re both still best friends, and do not want our relationship to change. In fact we told each other that we re going to be friends forever and that everything will be fine. And I truly believe everything will be fine between us. But my brain keeps giving me bursts of overthinking, and it s like BUT WHAT IF YOUR RELATIONSHIP DOES CHANGE?! WHAT IF YOU WON T BE FRIENDS ANYMORE?! I ve been suffering from anxiety and depression for a while now, and I think my mind is just anxious. Can our friendship be the same? As a matter of fact, I am very social and I'm not shy to talk to other people. I even feel like most of the time, with my personal friend group at least, that I'm "the life of the party". I am always laughing and cracking jokes and being nice. But I'm starting to realize that it's not reciprocating and it feels pretty terrible come to think of me. For instance, People never compliment me, sometimes not even out of courtesy for me complimenting them. . The issue is that I feel like i'm doing everything right: I am NOT an attention seeker nor am I really shy. I love talking to people. But sometimes I'll say stuff and the kids in my class won't even look up. If we are having an intellectual discussion or any convo in class, I obviously don't want to be left out so yes, i make the effort and engage in the conversation; they just barely acknowledge what i have to say and then dismiss me completely. I just altogether feel like nobody notices me or acknowledges me. And it really sucks. I don't want to come off as arrogant but I am attractive and I know it. I'm really friendly with like close guy freinds, but nothing more. None of the others have even registered my existence probably. As soon as it was accepted a few days ago , I received a message from his account saying, "This is his mom for now..waiting for him to come home one day 🙁". I find it kind of odd because his mom has never met me and doesn't know who I am. Why would she express her emotions, of all people to me? I'd also expect for the message to be grammatically correct, but the ellipses are wrong. Also, why would a mom use a sad emoji to her son's (female) friend? On his profile 2 months ago, his mom posted a message basically saying: it's mom on his account -at that moment-, she created the account for him because he couldn't do it from his home, he has access to the account (but hasn't logged onto it yet), and she wishes for everyone to send love on his page so he knows he's loved. He doesn't live with her, but gets to visit her every now and then. She knows he can't just come home. It's how the system works. So, my question is: why would his mom send me that message? She could express her emotions to her relatives who are also added on his page. She made it clear on the main page that she created it and all, so why send me a message? Random people can send requests all the time;so, why would she think I'm legit? Basically, do you think it was really the mom sending that message or was it him pretending to be his mom saying that? He just told me the title of a presentation I had made at eleven. What made it worse was that there were pictures one there. DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW EMBARRASSING Of course I was pissed off so I told him to go away, he didn't so I just ran after him. Eventually I got so pissed I started throwing random things in my bag at him. I said this because when ever we are in the same place together there are always problems. So now I just try avoid it and stay away. We made a lot of different friends. We still keep in touch with some of them. We loved it. We loved the different homes. The different friends. Different experiences from different neighborhoods. Well for my daughter things are completely different. She is autistic and does not have any friends. She stays in her room and plays by her self. She has to down size and that is very stressful for her. She won't have a much room. So she won't have enough space for all her toys. She is scared of this new home. She doesn't like change. Kids at school make fun of her. It's a private school for children who is autistic. She can't catch the ball or throw the ball far enough. She doesn't have any friends at lunch. They take her pencils, note books, and so many other things. My daughter is the nicest person you will ever meet. She will give you the shirt off her back if you asked. I asked her one day and she gave it to me. It broke my heart when the teachers said they can't do anything to stop it. If it means that much to her don't let her bring it. She gets attached to a piece of trash. If you give it to her she loves it and doesn't want to get rid of it. She is 18 physically, but mentally only 7-8 years old. How can I make this easier for her. Moving is are only option. We don't have a choice. I am open to all kinds of ideas. Please no rude comments. I open to all you have to say though. Maybe moving hasn't been fun for you but for me it kinda was. Yeah it was stressful but I got to experience a lot of different things. It was fun once we got settled it. But I won't lie either it was stressful. But after while I just got use to it and made the best it. |

I didn't dorm last year but I made about 3 friends I always talked to in class and I hung out with one once outside of class, then the year ended and we lost contact (besides on instagram). I started dorming this year and I thought I would have so many friends by now (2 months into my sophomore year now). I have not been to a party yet. But no one really talks to each other on my floor; no one keeps their doors open and i think this is mainly because we are not on a traditional rural campus so it's a bit different. After class everyday, I buy and lunch and bring it straight back into the room and hoping that my roommate is not there because she probably will think i'm a loner coming to the room everyday to eat my meals. Also me and my roommate hung out a lot (shopping & dinner dates) but we haven't gone for a while because she's 2 years older and realllyyy busy. So I basically live in my dorm room and only go out to go work at my new job 2x a week, go to the library (second place i go to the most) and a club meeting I have once a week. I have friends in the classroom but they never seem to want to go hang out outside of the classroom.. Me and a friend from my stat class exchanged numbers and we have good convos but she has never texted me! I feel like everyone has their own group of friends, literally EVERYONE except me. I am planning to transfer out and plan to go to a school with a more traditional campus vibe |

So my friend is very poor she is 16 as well and she is very lovely and kind. She lives with her father as her mother left them and didn't want anything to do with her, they live in a very small house well I mean apartment, she doesn't have her own room and they sleep in the living room as it is the only room in the whole apartment and they sleep on the floor, they have a small refrigerator which is empty and her apartment is smelly and dirty, her dad works as a porter and doesn't get paid much. She wears the same clothes everyday (2 blouses), she said she likes shopping but she doesnt want to tell her dad as he can't afford for anything and she doesn't want him to feel bad, she really loves her dad she keeps on talking about him telling me how kind he is and she wants to become as hard working as him. She is very polite and always clean and smells good but when I try to talk to her I remember that she is poor and filthy which makes me disgusted, she keeps on inviting me to her house to study and have fun but I'm really disgusted and I hate her tiny house. I went to her house once as she was going to teach me math, her house was really smelly she made me some snacks and popcorn and then she told to have dinner with them I had to stay as my driver was late, they had eggs for diner and it was really disgusting can't they afford better food like burgers, steaks or at least fish |

He had been staying over since the beginning since we were able to move in to our apartment 3 weeks earlier than he was (we re all in college). I was fine with it, but a bit uncomfortable. I thought that once he was able to move into his place (the complex literally right next door), that they would start hanging out there too. Well I was very wrong. I approached her and spoke politely about how I m uncomfortable with him staying here every night (even though we have our own rooms) because of how much time he spends in the common areas and it ends up making me feel like I m staying at THEIR house, instead of him being a guest in ours. She responded with that she ll just keep him in her room and out of the common areas, and that she has the right for him to sleep over every night if she wants. I m still very uncomfortable with this idea, and I doubt he ll end up actually staying in there the whole time and then we ll be back to the beginning. What should I do? |

We're both 17 years old and we've been best friends for 9 years. She never has been a very supportive friend. She's VERY competitive she HATES it when I do something better than her she just gets all bitter with me. But she's thinner than me and I'm a bit chubby and she knows how insecure I am about my body yet she still calls me fat. She even said once that I have an ugly body. I thought about leaving her many times but her parents argue a lot and when she talks to me about it I just feel bad so I stay.
