I will make her name "Friend" in this case, so that I don't have to give out her name. Remember that SHE was the one who wanted to hang out in the first place... Friend: Hey! We should go to the coffee shop tomorrow. Me: Yea! Sounds fun. I will ask my parents tomorrow. Friend: Okay. Friend: Oh, actually, let's go to (this other place) instead. **The next day, after I'd already told my parents which restaurant we were going to** Me: So my parents say it's okay. Do you think they will have something I like there? Friend: Oh, I can't go today, I'm seeing the 2nd one of this movie. :) Another time, sorry. Me, sad: Oh, it's okay. Well, enjoy the movie... Maybe we can hang out another day this week? We never did hang out, by the way. Another story came along where she cancelled THAT, too. *1 week later* So then this happened just today: Me: Hey, they're making a 3rd one [of the movie she cancelled our plans to go see]. Friend: Cool! I'm going to see the 2nd movie tomorrow. By the way, sorry this is confusing, but the 2nd movie is the movie she cancelled on me to go see the next day. So in other words, she cancelled our plans to see a movie, then I find out she ended up not even seeing that movie. But, she didn't even bother to call me back to re-schedule. Maybe she didn't want to hang out, but she could have told me that... Am I wrong to be mad, or am I just over-stressing about this? |

I don't have any friends and my life is horrible. My dad is super abusive to me and it really tearing me down emotionally. He enforces all these dictator like rules around the house and it's just rules for ME. There's 3 other kids and he loves them but not me. I don't care what you think if he does love me he doesn't. I'm basically a slave. It's ridiculous all the stuff he makes me do. It's not just grunt and back breaking labor he makes me do, he makes me do a lot of embarrassing stuff to. I don't even want to get into it. But I would be able to cope with all of this if I had some friends. But I have never had one friend in my life. I always keep a positive attitude, I always shower so I don't stink, and I'm always nice and friendly. I just don't understand why people don't like me. It seems everybody hates me, even God. At first I was like 'Okay, fine' because she was in a very dark place for a while (self harm, not eating etc...) but it got annoying. Fast. When she showed them to me I laughed and said they looked like girls, she got a little pissed at me but brushed it off. Later in the day, I Googled her favorite Kpop bands and I found pictures of the males kissing and spanking each other. She got super mad and talked shiz about me behind my back. (Revealed to me when I was on my other friend's kik). She told me 'How are you gon a even talk when you don't know the band!' To which I replied 'Neither do you!' We had a second argument recently about Kpop also. She always talks about her 'bias' and 'Kdrama' and when I told her I didn't like Kpop she said 'I don't care! I need someone to talk about it with!' I tried listening to it to understand her more but to me it's complete and utter crap and the guys are unattractive. It's honestly ruining our friendship, we were so close at the beginning of the year and now we talk alot less. I don't want to be like those other people who drift apart in middle school. (We're going to 7th next year) I just don't like it, it's not my type of music. I like punk/pop rock. I'm not gonna start liking it. I fell this way basically every summer. I just sit in my room all day and draw and stuff or go outside, but I am very unhappy. whenever I call or text my friends I feel like I am annoying them. They never seem to want to hang out. If I do get someone to hang out with me, the next day I feel lonely and sad again but I don't want to ask them to hang out again, everyday because I feel like its annoying and they don't want to anyways. Tried everything almost to get a better job. but it seems no matter how hard or how much times I have tried. I am just not lucky.I have a friend who works in a carpentry job. he makes 1325 an hour. I'm only $10 an hour and I work way much more than he does. He shows off a lot. He buys a brand new car. Pace it off financially with s job income. Then he could not afford it anymore. So he asked me if he can borrow some money. It's ironic that I make less than him but she needs my help in order to pay off the bankruptcy that he filed for. I don't understand why people look for the lower income people to try and help them out. I'm not a f****** bank. But he uses me like I'm just trash. Some friend I have....tell me about your friends? And what did they do to screw you over? And why are they more luckier than you are in life? |

She doesnt text me anymore..it always me and sometimes i dont because it takes her long times to reply and sometimes she says im sorry for not texting as much ive been busy like thats ok! I understand we get busy! So do i, we both do sports and stuff.. I tried making new friends and i have a lot but she is someone im kind of caught on.. Cuz idk what changed. She got closer with this girl who likes to party and drink and smoke a lot amd my best friend is starting to do that more and i dont do that.. Its her life she can do what she wants but sometimes a few days shell be perfectly fine not exactly the way it used to be but shell say hi to me and start a conversation other days she stare at me and walk right by me.. His wife is about my age. She comes to the office frequently and flirts with me. I know nothing good can come of this flirting and I have tried stopping her from doing it but all my hints to her are ignored. We went out in the water every Wednesday together in a training boat, and went to the gym on rowing machines every other day. One week I couldn't go on the Wednesday and they went out in a professional boat together and that was the last week before we broke up for summer. Just today they went out rowing without telling me. All the coaches think their really good and I'm feeling left out. I have a range of friends but there is 2 friends who I really don't want to leave. One who moved from Spain originally, and one other. | Posted: 15 Jun 2015 12:20 PM PDT i've noticed that and no one calls me anymore, but there is one friend who did. nut now he ignores me too. he said i'm stupid and do stupid things. that i don't think before i act. he said that i'm like a little baby that he need to take care of. we've been in parties and i'm always the drunkest one. he said that he don't want to take care of me and that i'm selfish and take everybody for granted. I don't understand how can i change? there's been 3 parties the last week and nobody invited me. and now i'm all alone and lonely. he said that I lack confidence and that I expect everybody to do things for me. and that I never help nobody. please tell me how i can change. i'm all alone right now with no friends and i'm really sad. |
| Question: Tips on moving on when your best friend has dropped you? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 12:17 PM PDT we go into a rut, and I tried to talk things out with her. I even apologized for things i really shouldn't have apologized for. She was kind of mean about it but she accepted and said she wanted a week of space, and that she'd call me later that week. Its been 3 weeks and she never called back. I've been doing pretty well; I have a whole other group of friends plus more. but she was my best friend and it still hurts here and there, especially when I see her laughing and smiling in the hallways with our mutual friends, and we walk past each other like we're strangers. It pointless to fix things because she's going to college and I'm going to be a senior in highschool. Yeah, she's going to college nearby, but still, we wouldn't see each other as much. Plus, who knows where I'll be for college next year. It may not be in state. How to move on? |

Posted: 15 Jun 2015 12:06 PM PDT I have an old friend who I went to school with (I left last week) and it feels like her, among almost all of the people that I considered "friends" don't want me around (to make answering this easier I'm female) To start off, we are in charge of who we sit with for prom. Big mistake. According to my "best friend" she was the only one that put me down (everyone in the group, except me as I wasn't there that day, made an individual list then two of them would decide who was on the table) They put down my girlfriend at the time (that's not why we broke up, I'm not immature). But not me. Only one person in the friend group actually hangs out with her besides me. When I mentioned that I have nowhere to sit, they just suggest talking to the organizer about who i'd be sat with if I didn't have anyone else. About my "best friend" on our last day, she asked for me to write my number down in her yearbook so she could keep in contact with me. But she doesn't text me, yet is fine texting other friends. The icing on the cake, is someone who I tried talking to today. I asked, 4 days ago, if she wanted to hang out, because it's blatantly obvious that she wouldn't remember nor care enough to invite me anywhere. Today, I tried talking to her about it, and I only get "yes" out of her when I ask if she's still available. I ask about when/where and it's like she didn't get a notification. I sent that 2 hours ago. She went offline only half an hour ago. I feel like the friendship is one sided. Basically my "best friend" was the only one to make the suggestion of me sitting with them at prom The friend said that she'd hang out with me, and that she was available. AND that she'd talk about it on facebook.. Yet I have to be the one to ask and organize everything |

A few of my friends are going to be there, but i havent seen them in a really long time (4 years). I dont want to hurt her feelings by not going and she told me that i HAVE to go. But everytime she sees me she'll look and stare ... And sometimes when im doing my work and I'll randomly look in the direction she's in and she's staring straight at me. We've talked before shes a cool person but its just kinda creepy. |

Posted: 15 Jun 2015 11:43 AM PDT My friends all seem to have this idea of what I m like and am always telling me I m like this even though this isn t actually what I m like eg. they go round saying to people that I hate the world and everything in it and I don t, and they tell me I have no emotions even though I do. And also, it was my birthday last month and only one of them remembered and I remember all of their birthdays.. In my head. Do they just not like me or something or are they just not bothered? The last few we have been more like housemates than a married couple. We have no conversation or interactions on a daily basis. My neighbor offered me a ride home one day when I was walking home (I just left a store a little over a mile from home). I took it because it was a hot day.While in the car, my neighbor,slightly older than me spoke openly & freely about being in a similar lonely marital situation as myself. He complimented me on how good-looking I am and how he noticed how sad I looked on the porch whenever he drove by our house. He then propositioned me sexually, offering to keep a sexual relationship between two good people in lonely marriages on the "down low." I was so uncomfortable and could not wait to get out of the car as he pulled into my driveway. He rolled his window down to continue to yell out that he thought we would be good together and to let him know whenever I was ready, but i was already trying to get into my house as far away from him as possible. I may not be in a perfect marriage, but I would NEVER step out on my husband. This neighbor is someone that visits the house every once in a while for a beer with my husband. He still honks at us when we are both outside and I cannot help but feel guilty that my husband continues to wave and be friendly with him. I felt dirty at the proposition and confided in a friend that said to keep it a secret and keep my distance. But do I tell my husband? |
| Question: One of my friends is being really weird? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 11:35 AM PDT I recently became close to a guy who goes to my school, and whenever I speak to him, one of my female friends shows up and repeats the things I say if this guy agrees with them, or disagrees if we're debating something. It's so irritating that she's constantly trying to undermine me, and the guy clearly finds it weird even though he hasn't said anything, because it's outright embarrassing to watch. I thought she might have a crush on him but she likes someone else, and they barely ever speak unless he's speaking to me. It's awkward, and I don't know what to do, because if I tell her straight out, she gets annoyed with me because she's extremely oversensitive, and if I don't say anything she'll continue to do this. It just feels like she wants to show me up in front of other people? |

| Question: Do I have a right to be upset? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 11:27 AM PDT My friend and I were hanging out a few days ago, and my friend wanted to video chat on Omegle. We ended up meeting this guy on there. He seemed pretty cool at first, but I wasn't talking to him, my friend was. I was in the background, and I heard him say "Your friend back there is beautiful." I was starting to get really hungry, so I told my friend I'd go get some food. After about 10 minutes, my friend and that guy were done talking. Then all of a sudden, she said "Hey I gave that guy your number and your name so he could add you on Facebook." I instantly got upset, and said "Wait why? I don't know him, I don't want him knowing my info." She said it wasn't a big deal, but I think it was. So a few hours go by, and this guy started messaging me. He was saying that his girlfriend broke up with him, and he misses the feeling of being in a relationship. Then he said "I'd love taking you out sometime ;) Go back to my place." And then he started asking me sexual questions. The weird thing was, this guy told me was 24! I'm only 16 turning 17 pretty soon. I ended up telling him to leave me alone, and I blocked him because the whole thing was very creepy. I told my friend I was disappointed in her for giving out my info, especially without my permission. She then got really mad at me and said "Omg, you make a big deal out of everything. So what, it was just your number and Facebook. He seemed really nice, and I don't see a problem with it." Do I have a right to be upset? |
