I currently live with my dad in North Carolina and my mom lives in Pennsylvania. Ive been thinking a lot about where I wanna be in life and I want to go back to go Pennsylvania for certain reasons: better school, more opportunities, and I have a better connection with my mom but I don t wanna leave my only best friend. I have two years left of highschool and I just need to know if I m making the right decision so please give an opinion and not those answers that say "follow your heart" that doesn t help |

I seriously feel like strangling her sometimes she steals all my lipsticks and mascara and all of my favorite clothes and then hides it from me, she's even stole my underwear and bras before. My sister does not even respond to me when I talk about my fashion model pursuit. This is hard because I consider this a job that I'm trying to succeed at and I can't even share that with her because she won't talk about it with me. My mom has really been the one that's hurt me; she has called me ugly, a crack head etc. telling me I'm no model. She will brag about my sister and not me and tell everyone how much she loves my sister. She has gotten so bad she is trying to make me ruin my life telling me to have a baby. She said that I'm embarrassing myself. My model agent seems to love me. I feel so bad because I want my family to love me. She's older, privileged, spoiled, and has so much pity and conceitedness. She honestly thinks she's better than everybody else, and has said some unbelievable things to me. When I told her I self-harmed, thought everything would change and she would realize words freaking stick and hurt. Whenever we're in arguments, she CONDONES IT. She tells me like I don't know what depression is, and once told me to go kill myself. My mom doesn't really take care of it, she "talks" to her, but it doesn't do anything. Today, she told me I was the 'worst person' or whatever, saying that all I ever did was PUT HER DOWN. (I get it, I do sometimes, especially in arguments, but I always tell her sorry. ) She told me that I always criticizing her, saying that she was "whiny..selfish.." stuff like that. Again, I DO, SOMETIMES. But most of the time, I tell her she's pretty, that she's the most likely person to succeed, and blah blah blah. I'm SO sick of this crap. Whenever we talk about this, she always denies it and turns it back on herself. I am just so done with doing this everyday. (LITERALLY- EVERYDAY.) I'm 17, I like to run in the fields near my house, on earth (I don't like running on asphalt or concrete), which is also healthier for my back. There aren't a lot of people there, and she's afraid someone will come and rape me (the only people I see are dog walkers, I basically know all of them). She doesn't like me to run in the evening but now that it's getting hotter, I like to run in the evening, so I come back a little after sundown (it's still bright). Recently, I wanted to go running, and she said it was too late, and I told her she could come with me. She said no because she just had a cold, and she just washed her hair. I told her she could wear a hat. She said she doesn't like running, so I told her she could ride a bike. She still said no, so I told her I could go on a not so deserted path. She got angry, she said I was spoilt, I always want to get my way, she yelled at me, and when I tried to reason with her, and told her: "I'm not yelling at you, why are you yelling?", she told me I made her come this far, she called me stupid and a spoilt brat. I was really hurt by her comments (I know I'm spoilt but not like that, I wanted to run because it was a busy week and I hadn't had the chance to go before). How can I convience her she is wrong and overreacting about this? Also, am I right to be angry with her for calling me names and yelling at me? She really hurt me. I live with just my mother, no siblings, and my father divorced my mother when I was twelve and moved to another country and began a new life. I've felt abandonment ever since my father left, we rarely speak, and it left a large hole in my life up until about last summer, when I accepted the fact he would not return for me. However, the pain that I went through regarding our separation is NOTHING compared to the pain I feel from living with my mother everyday. I think my father had an effect on her, because now I find that she enjoys taking her anger out on me. I have achieved a lot academically and athletically, however, nothing ever seems to be enough for her. On a daily basis she refers to me as worthless, a piece of sh*t, a b*tch, lazy, stupid, ugly, and that I have no future (I am currently going to the best high school in my state). Additionally, she threatens me and has kicked me out of our house before. She physically abuses me daily, when she gets upset it is only a matter of seconds before she either hits me or kicks me, there have been extreme cases where she threw me into the wall and once where she whipped me extremely hard with a belt and left a large welt on my skin. I have no other family I could stay with and nobody knows what is going on. I need help because I don't know how I can survive the next four years of my life like this. I was just sitting there with a few other people and I told them not to attack me because I had to go take a massive crap. Which they promised me that they wouldn't but just to be safe I turned up the volume on my speakers all the way just to be safe...Anyways, I rushed to the bathroom and it was a photo finish and took a massive crap then all the sudden I hear them attacking my player and I'm like "wtf those stupid jews they promised!" At this point I'm crying and panicking and about to wipe my *** with toilet paper but I notice we're out of toilet paper and I'm like "wtf" so I use my hand and wipe it all off as quick as i can because I don't want poop in my butt cheeks thats gross! I'm sick right now and I went downstairs to get some cereal and my brother totally took all the cereal that I wanted. He made me chase him around the house in my towel (I also have asthma). He's done that 2 times now. And he will take my phone and make me chase after him and he'll take pictures on my phone. I don't do any of that stuff to him. And when I ask him why he is so mean to me, he'll turn the table on me and accuse me of always being mean to him. Another time I was re-filling the sugar thing we have and my brother says, "whoa slow down. You can't eat that all in one sitting." I'm a teenage girl already self conscious of my weight. Anyway, at one point when I was a minor, she forced me to live with them. One day i finally moved out and haven't gone back at all since. And since then, my mother discovered he cheated and she went to live with us at my grandmothers house. All my stuff is over there at her husbands and she REFUSES, and i do mean REFUSES, to let us go over there to get, not just my but also my brothers, stuff. First he kept refusing that it was his friend's cigarettes but after a while he broke down crying and admitted he tried a little I was very angry because I know my parents have a strict policy regarding smoking. He begged me to not tell my parents because most probably they will ground him for the summer and even after it till he realizes what he tried to do. Its bad enough that he has got a breathing problem and now he wants to basically suicide by smoking. I really wanted to slap him but he kept crying I comforted him a little but gave no assurance about not telling my parents. Should I let it slip this time or just tell my parents? I'm an adult and I never smoked or drank too much. He is only 12 basically a baby. When we are in public and she does something wrong she will say oh i wasn t the one who did that, it was my daughter and points me out. She always says that I ask for too much when I don t. I just ask for a simple request like to go outside or put a hoodie with some jeans to go get the mail she complains and acts like i tried to kill someone or something and starts saying you are going out to get the mail like that. She calls me like I m acting like a gangster and tells me that I look ugly and tells me if I go out that way that she will spank me. She never lets me hang out with my friends and I do get good grades and I follow her rules. She tells me that it s way too dangerous when I would be just going to the neighborhood park where the office is! I feel worthless a lot of times by her. I love her but I feel like she treats me like a slave. I tried talking to her about it but she just tells me to shut up or acts like its all my fault. | Question: Mу brother hates me? Posted: 16 Jun 2015 09:25 AM PDT So, this is gonna be a bit weird of a story. I'm Jess, I'm 14, and I have an older brother who quite recently turned 18. He's 4 years older, and an adult, but he does not act like this. Probably because he's treated like a king. Everyone always does everything for him. He does what he feels like doing, I know he can be because he's an adult but he's so hurtful and rude to almost everyone one. But On to the actual problem, as my brother. He's the worst to me out of everyone, even my mom agrees to this, though she obviously doesn't like it at all. He hurts me emotionally and physically. Yes, he has used violence multiple times. Were still at the same school, where he say hi when he sees me, probably to make it look like he's a great brother to my friends. But, somewhere he's still a brother to me.. What should I do? :( |

Its the first day of summer break and I was planning to be so nice this summer and then she started being mean. She was so mean that I was up to the point of crying. I talked to my parents and they said ignore it. My parents also said that the will tell to be nice but I dont think they did. Then she starts crying and expects me to say sorry when I did not do anything. She always makes peole unhappy. I thought about going to camp or something but my parents said no. WHAT DO I DO? I cannot get away from her since she lives with me |
| Question: Phisical and mental abuse from my parents? Posted: 16 Jun 2015 08:55 AM PDT I am a 16 year old girl.This is going to be long but I would appreciate it if you read this. Firstly I must say that I do well in my studies and don't really expect my parents to buy materials for me in return which I know some people do. My dad is the physical abuser. He wasn't like this when I was young.. My dad is not an alcoholic, drug addict or a smoker.. I will give you few examples. I was 10 or 11. English is not my mother tongue so I had to learn English which was very hard.. from my dad.. When I struggled he would explain again at first but if I still don't get it, he would shout at me.. Once he said that I was no better than a character in this children's night time story. Other time he grabbed my face and shook it. Another time he strangled my neck with his hands. He also threatened to kill me if I don't do things he ask me to.. My mum stops him of course but he is too strong for her to stop him.. He is very controlling and abusive.. However this doesn't happen daily so I guess thats good.. My mum is my mental abuser.. She is also controlling.. She hates my boyfriend so she makes me hand over my phone at 10 and put a lock on my call log. Every mornibg she would note down how many messages and the time I've been on a call for.When my dad is here, she would purposely try and make me angry because she knows that I'm helpless when my dad is here. I can't go on a dat with him because my dad threatened me that if he finds out, he will beat me up.. please give me advice |

I'm 15 years old, and she treats me like 7 years old. She's trying to stop me to go home all by myself. my school is really NEAR at our house. I'm not rebellious, but I need it to improve my maturity. My dad, and my older sibling are fine with that, and they said I'm old enough to do it. She even force me to put me in a service to school. I said to myself"were just near and you're gonna put me into that", but I refused. She thinks I'm not responsible enough to handle my own stuff, and I'm messy, but it's a big mistunderstanding. I can handle my things on my own in a good way, and I'm not messy. How about her, she makes me find her things, if it's lost. And she's said I'm in big trouble if I didn't find it. "Sorry but it's your responsibility to find it" I said in my mind. It's really unfair when I talk to her. If I gave her a complain, she's gonna debate my past mistakes, which really pisses me. She doesn't even realize she's making a mistake. For some reasons, she's really negative, and can't control her anger. She nice and caring, but her being overprotectiveness, angerness, and selfishness has got to stop. I did not ask this just because I'm selfish, but I can't control the hurt feelings that I have. She's not thinking that I'm at the growing stage, and still treats me like a kid. I really think my mom doesn't want me to improve myself, but rather put, and stay me inside of the box, forever(Expression). |

Posted: 16 Jun 2015 08:19 AM PDT Ok so Im always wondering if my mom hates me cuz every time I try n talk to her she ignores me half the time I could say mom so many Times n its like she doesnt hear me or doesnt want to n if im talkin to her n my brother or sister comes up to her n starts talkin shell completely ignore me to attend to them n every time I ask if she could take me somewhere shell say to wait n shell keep me waiting for a few hour's if she has to go to but if its jst somewhere I wanna go it takes days for her to take me but when my brother wants to go somewhere she takes him in a few min every time we talk she ignores me like if what im saying is boring n sometimes it is but I mean common so then I think to myself maybe I. should shut up n Ill stay quiet the rest of the time not only that when she gets mad at me cuz ill rush her or something she start talking crap to me saying to jst shut up n leave her alone but when my siblings do it its ok n whenever she tells me to wake her up the next morning I use to do it cuz she asked but she would always get really mad n tell me to go to hell I thought she was cranky or something but I noticed that she doesn't do that to my siblings nor any one else its just me so whenever she tells me to wake her up I send one of my siblings to do it so she wont get mad idk does she hate me |

Posted: 16 Jun 2015 08:09 AM PDT me and my parents are very different i like things clean and neat and in order beacuse it makes a house and city look better and things are (in most cases) safer. But my parents are the opposite they don't care if the house is clean, also i really miss the life i had when i lived in the town i used to, i was almost always happy and nothing mattered to me and my family rarely fought with each other, but ever since we moved to the (OLD) city we live in now we are all fighting all the time and i cry and yell a lot and am rarely in a good mood (EVER) and i dont enjoy life anymore......but my parents dont seem to care and when i try to tell them this they yell at me and call me a "problem".....how do i explain to them how i feel without them yelling, calling me names, or bringing up every mistake ive made in my life??????? |

He is in high school and in one of his classes he is the only guy. He thinks that is great as he is friends with all the girls. The girls in his class tease him all the time about being the only guy in class and he LOVES it. He says it makes the class so much fun. He came home from class today and said "Mom, the girls in the class asked me if I was hung. Can I show them? I told him "NO NO NO". "That would get him in BIG TROUBLE". He might get suspended from school or reported to the police. Then he said "Can I tell them I would gag Linda Lovelace"? Again the answer is NO. YOU CAN NOT TALK ABOUT SEX WITH THESE GIRLS IN CLASS EVER. He said "But mom, they ask me". I am going to try to get him out of that class before he does something stupid and gets in trouble. My sister and I didn't have the best relationship, she wasn't really having a good relationship with anybody in my family, or household, often times nobody in my household would be happy with her due to her aggressive behaviour (often talking in a rude manner). So if my mom would call her, she would say "What?!" She would pick on me and talk trash to my parents about me saying how stupid I am. Recently she was having a conversation with two family member in America, we live in Canada, and she kicked my eldest sister out of the chat and she isn't giving an answer to her action as to why she did it. My parents don't even want to go considering they have work during the grad ceremony hours. I don't even want to go but she invited everybody but me! She could at least say like "hey you want to come to my grad ceremony". Everybody in my household is invited but me. I am also graduating high school this year, I feel upset that I don't even want anybody from my household coming to my grad ceremony. I already got two tickets that came with my commencement payment, but I just don't want anybody coming anymore. I just prefer to go alone. How should I act upon this situation? |

He asked me:"Hey Matt,Ummm,I got a virus on your computer,can you fix it?"Being the nice guy I try to be I said:"Sure,dealt with viruses before".While I was in the middle of fixing it,my mother walked and looked at me like:Your not supposed to do that.She litterally pushed me out of my seat and said:"How do I do whatever you were doing?"I didnt say anything instead,I unplugged my laptop and brought it upstairs and locked my door.I just want to know,do my Mom and Dad hate me or is something else going on? I'm about to head off for college but they keep feeling depressed about me leaving, which is normal, of course, but they've become so depended on me to help them with cooking, cleaning, I've practically become their caregiver. Has anyone been in a situation like this before? I don't want to end up taking care of my parents when I want to start my own life. I love them, but this is becoming a burden. 10 points best answer! Posted: 16 Jun 2015 05:46 AM PDT I'm sick with Streptococcus and I was sleeping, it's now 10:42pm and I was feeling better, now mum comes home and she brings home 3 of her friends and one of there sons and she asks me to hang out and talk to him who I don't even know. Now I feel sick again. Why is she doing this to me? Does she want to kill me? I'm being serious here i think she really wants me to die. It's a really small apartment and sound reflects pretty easily so why would she bring all her friends over knowing that they will be making so much noise and I won't be able to sleep? Does she have a sixth sense and she knew I was feeling better so she is trying her best to make me uncomfortable so I can't go back to work? I have to work tomorrow morning and it's gonna be really busy cause there is a footy game tomorrow night. Now I don't think I can work cause my sickness is coming back and I'm agitated. About a week ago my mum wanted to take my stamp collection from me and I refused because I know she wants to sell it... The stamp collection was given to me and therefore belongs to me... I came back from my girlfriends house yesterday and realised today that my stamp collection was gone... I know she has taken it and sold it as I cannot find it anywhere... I am not sure what to do and would like help with this matter.... It is disgusting that she has taken it from me to sell, I'm not definite that she has but if she has she's using it to put off her debt... I just want to know if she can refuse to give me the money or the stamp collection back as I am aware I'm 16... Can I legally do anything about it?(I doubt it) Any help would be appreciated |

| Posted: 16 Jun 2015 04:50 AM PDT My dad is cheating on my mom he brought his girlfriend to my pageant and caused a huge seen in fromt of my froends board and peers. He then starts yelling at my mom and swearing at her on how she is sooo stupid. This happened before the pageant so i was a little off. Therefore i didnt win. But coming back to the hotel my mom was screaming at me for not winnning. When we got to the hotel room my mom beat me then she left and went to the bar. My dad came to my room later by himself and asked where my mom was and then I told him she wasnt there and he got mad and punched me and shoved me to the ground and stormed into the room to find my mom wasnt there. I went to sit on my bed as my dad was storming through the room. And then he came to my room part of the hotel room and he then forced himself upon me and then he raped me... After he left my room to go to his and his girlfriends room i just sat there and cried... Idk what to do because i dont want to cauae anymore issues for my family! |

Posted: 16 Jun 2015 04:09 AM PDT A couple months ago I had to move back to my parents house after I got laid off from my job and couldn't support myself. The main reason I moved back was at the time my mother was sick and couldn't walk or take of herself so my older siblings ask me to come help mother in exchange for spending money. All these months I have been cooking, cleaning, and nursing my mother back to health. My older sister is moving out of the house because she is getting married for a second time and is leaving a mini apartment empty. My sister moved in 7 years ago with her ex husband when she was pregnant into what used to be a rental property attached to the main house. I'm currently sleeping in my childhood bedroom (its originally an office connected to the master bedroom), I don't have much privacy my parent have to walk through my room to go into main living area. My mom is doing better so I recently found a job. I work as a fill in 3 to 15 days month so my paycheck changes from week to week. I try to give my parents at least 200 a month for rent and food, plus I still do all the cleaning most of the cooking. I can't move out yet because I don't have a stable job also mother is in begining stages of Alzheimer. My mom won't agree to let me move into the attached apartment. They aren't going to rent out again or its about the rent money my sister pays the same as me (she is a single mother), and the only reason I've gotten is because my sister things are staying there. |

Posted: 16 Jun 2015 04:08 AM PDT My mom and my grandmother lived together my mom's whole life, until my grandma passed away they were very close. I love my mom but I need privacy. We made a deal she helps me with my kids while I finish school and I help her with the bills. I finished undergrad and moved on to grad school. She wants me to STAY, and reminds me there is plenty of room for me and my children in her house. She even turned her yard into a playground. But I have no privacy and I feel like less than a woman still living at home. I'll have to start out in a small apartment she says I should at least wait until I can afford a bigger place. I just see sadness on my mom face when I mention getting my own place even though she smiles. It makes me sad. |
