I have great friends, whom with I share common interests and have a great time with. However, these friends are all outside of school. At school, I really am kind of a loner. See, I don t live in that large of a town, and at this new school everyone is kinda cliquey, so its super hard to actually make friends. It s not like I can just step into a crowd of people and start talking. Most of the time people just talk about things I don t care about, and its usually quite boring. Just gossip, or how hard a class is. It s ******* dull. And even when I find people talking about something that is kind of interesting, it s so hard to just enter a conversation. Plus, if I just started talking to someone It d be strange and off-putting to them if a guy who was quiet before just tarted talking out of the blue. And some may say "Ohhh! Don t care about what they think" In a school like mine in a boring small town, people will find anything to mock and hate to keep entertained, and then it d spread across the school, or god forbid, outside of school. It s just a really stressful situationl. What should I do!? |

There was alcohol, and I did drink a lot. I do remember I was too drunk to walk home so a couple friends of mine walked me home (I think blacked out briefly). They got me into bed, gave me water, and made me puke a few times. One friend said that she would stay with me to make sure I was okay; she sat on the chair next to my bed and gave me water every now and then. I don t know how long it had been, but I wake up hearing a guy s voice telling my friend that he would stay with me and take care of me. He was supposedly one of my best friends (he lived next door to me) and my friend trusted him so she left. The next thing I know is he s in bed with me with one hand under my shirt and one hand trying to unbutton my pants. I tell him no but he manages to unbutton my pants, so I tell him no again. He stops this time but then he starts kissing my under my shirt and on the lips. I was basically paralyzed from confusion, and fear, and alcohol, so all I could say was no. Then he gets on top of me and puts his penis in my mouth, for 2 sec. I started feeling sick again so I tried to turn my head. After that I remember he left and I passed out. The next day, I was confused and didn t say anything, but since then I could not get it out of my head. I think about it everyday and I feel like it s eating me alive and every time I see him I feel this anger and confusion and I just want answers...was I raped? |

Up until a few months ago we started talking little by little, and I noticed her relationship said "It's complicated" while his said nothing. Out of NOWHERE he asks me to be his date to a banquet. We did dinner the night before, the banquet the night after, and I even met his friends and they added me on Facebook. We never slept together, just kissed before we left each other. He kept telling me we'll have to do dinner again when work wasn't so busy for him. He got distant a few weeks later, and I noticed his ex posted things like "Real men open the door for a lady" I simply asked him if they were back together, and wanted to get his side of the story. He said they were just being civil to each other, and were NOT back together. Not even a month later she posts a picture of them together and he said "I love you" on her picture. Now it seems like she's flaunting it, telling everyone she's so glad he's "hers" but I don't think she ever knew we went to the banquet. But why'd he lie to me? I feel like an idiot because I'm beginning to think they were never broken up. Am I dumb for even trying? She cheated on him and he went back, and I showed interest! |

I was having dreams that my bff of 11 years boyfriend was cheating on her and abusing her emotionally for almost one week straight to the point where it bothered me when I woke up. I didn't want to ask him directly because he's someone we know from high school and I didn't want him telling her or making her mad because she's pregnant and I don't want the baby to feel that. So I know his babies mom and they we're in a very long relationship so I called her and told her how I've been feeling I didn't give any names I just stated he's dating one of my friends and I want to know what type of person he is like is he faithful while in relationship and so on. she sounds so shocked and hurt while talking telling me that they are still having sex,and that they still see eachother so she might be pregnant and that was it. We keep in touch very often and I'm trying to persuade my parents to let me go visit her this summer as a family vacation or alone. My parents are extremely subborn upon the proposal to let me go because apparently Illinois has no eye-candy except for corn, and they continuously tell me that they can visit here and see Disney World and the beaches. We both live in exceptionally well cleaned communities as well as crime rates that are relatively low. I'm totally chill with my parents coming along but they seem as if it'll be a waste of money. Btw, we're both book smart and street smart and 15. First off, would any of you recommend going or should I stay and have her visit here? If you do recommend it, can you give me advice to persuade my parents to let me go with or without them? Honest answers are greatly appreciated for I understand that parents are very protective within matters of travel and vacations. |

Most of the time my jokes are pretty funny but I've been noticed that lately I've been being very sarcastically mean? I don't really want to hurt anyone's feelings or anything like that but they just sort of slip out. Examples- Guy who I'm friends with- are you checking out my ***(jokingly) me- haha no. You have to HAVE an *** for someone to check out your ***. And he didn't seem to mind and we laughed about it but if I said that to someone else I wouldn't want to offend them. Example 2- (Don't remember exact words) one of the more popular guys who I'm stuck being in a math group with(He's an okay guy but we're not really friends) well the math teacher said something about his imaginary friend whispering math answers(still have no idea what the hell she was talking about) and I went something like- haha, because imaginary friends are the only friends you can get right Brendan?(said lightly with a laugh. In gym class, we pick a sport, make teams and play against each other. The best teams from the classes verse in an assembly and so on. Me and my friend (Alex) wanted to be on the same team. So, we gathered all of our friends to form a team for dodge ball. Since I was nominated I became the captain. Alex is extremely competitive. A lot of us wanted to do volleyball, but Alex is also really stubborn. We started our games two days ago and our team lost twice against the championship teams from last year. Alex started crying and was implying that we suck. After her unnecessary drama, she would not stop telling me how much she hated our team. My response was that we should just have fun and try to make the most out of it. The rest of the team and I are just happy to play together.But, after the team and I discussed what to do in terms of switching, we decided to offer to go to volleyball. We actually like playing dodge ball together but we just want her to honestly stop acting like an immature brat. She complied, and yesterday, I talked to the teacher and he switched us to volleyball. Today, during the practice game, we lost 15-16 (we had to cut the game short), and Alex was crying once again! She was all like "I thought you said we'd be good!". Now, she wants to switch back to dodge ball by herself. Am I in the wrong with being frustrated? How should I react? |

So on the first day everyone ignored me for some reason and they all fell instantly for the other guy. He became SUPER POPULAR. We were both the new kids from the same school. But I don't understand why everyone talks to him and I'm very nice and friendly. But they just won't talk with me or not even a simple hello. I'm ignored daily at this school. The little friends that I have all stick with each other and never talk or invite me anywhere. I'm never been picked with partners in class and I'm always picked last. And some girls don't like me and one time they threw my books off my desk and I can hear them talk about me behind my back. All they do is stare at me like I'm poison... The guys never speak to me. I didn't have a date for this past prom. No one asked . Not even friends, like I said. I don't know what to do.. I was really happy and talkative at the beginning of the year and now I'm just quiet . I've known this guy for a while, let's call him Alex, and I considered him a friend for a while. After that though, he started acting super TERRIBLE to people, like insulting them and laughing at them etc (this includes me) I have slight acne problems and even if I have one pimple, he'll point it out and make jokes about it. He also calls me a lesbian, fat, stupid, etc. he means these things as a joke (he says them to everyone) but it's led to me developing some self esteem issues. I always shoot right back and say stuff to him and he gets mad but whatever I'm not here to cry because "he's my friend I love him but he's mean" because I actually literally hate him. Posted: 22 Apr 2015 03:20 PM PDT So I have a "roommate" (really she just lives here, she doesn't pay anything to be here) and she buys her own stuff like toilet paper, plastic baggies, tinfoil, paper towels, etc. But she always makes sure to use ALL of MINE up before she starts in on her own, even though I NEVER use hers... For instance, I keep the extra toilet paper in the master bath and when she runs out in the spare bath she will come and ASK me for some paper, you'd think she'd be embarrassed about that sinces she's 21 and has a full time job and is perfectly capable of taking care of herself, but she's not. And if I'm not home she will just go rummage through my bathroom till she finds some (she's allowed to go in there cuz the clothes washer/dryer is in there ugh) Today she really pissed me off cuz she took a clean towel of her own into bathroom for her shower but used one of MY clean towels from the cabinet instead and took her still dry towel back to her room!! It really gets under my skin but idk am I over reacting? |

I really want to make friends, and want to have fun. Instead, I sit in my room and browse the web for distractions. I suppose the problem is that I had always been a quiet-an extremely quiet boy and people, especially guys, don't like to hang out with quiet people. Most people in my school already have a group of friends since elementary but since I didn't, I know that no one will accept me. The problem is that most people think I am akward because I am quiet and the people I want to be friends with think I am not smart enough for them(they get straight A's while I only get B's). He told me before school let out that we had practice and it would be in the weight room since it was raining outside. Since we are both in modified and there is only one coach for both varsity and modified, coach pays attention to varsity more than modified. I can understand this because varsity is more important than modified because of scholarships and whatnot. So I knew that our practice would only be 40min which is pointless, so me and 2 other people just decided to go home on the bus. Anyways being the goody two shoes he is he went to practice and just asked me "why weren't you at practice". Its not this though, its just that every time im on steam and playing with my other friends in games, he just won't stop messaging me. He doesn't own a single game, he just goes on there to talk. This is what social media is for, not steam, a GAME platform, not a social networking app. It annoys me that he has a steam just to talk to me, and no games I can play with him. And yes he has the money, his family is rich...well from my perspective at least. We are both in 8th grade if that helps with the question. The question is, Why cant he get a game or just know not to talk to me when im playing/talking to someone else? Sorry if this sounds harsh but it gets annoying day after day.. Hes not my father so he doesn't need to know why the hell I wasn't at practice either. Sorry that this was kinda long... Posted: 22 Apr 2015 02:45 PM PDT So part of me is a bit upset that most of my friends didn't get me anything not even a card, the other part of me feels awful for feeling bad about presents. In my friendship group there are 9 of us (including myself) and 4 or 5 of my friends were away around my birthday so I had 2 of my friends come over (the 3rd couldn't make it) and we had a little party and those 2 did get me presents. However when we got back to school (my birthday was in the holidays) none of my other friends got me anything, I know it's bad to complain especially because I got 2 really good presents but I can't help but feel let down. This is because normally when it's someone's birthday most of us if not all will buy that person a present even if it is just some chocolate. Also I have brought present for the 6 birthdays that have been even though not all of them had parties. My question is: How would you feel in this situation? Is it bad for me to feel upset? |

I been friends with Jack since middle school in 2007 and in our Church since I began going during that time. I became friends with Jill in our sophomore year in high school in 2009 when at that time, They were together for a year or two. They are both Christians. I wouldn't do that for just any person. I love them dearly. Jill took the breakup really bad and in this past year, been in 2 relationships. The relationship that occurred not that long after the breakup was fast. I heard from Jack what Jill was doing because of Jill telling him and not over Jack. I got too involved and for during this past year, I had got the bad end of it all. When that relationship ended, I thought things will go back to normal. I was going to say goodbye to Jill after leaving her alone until new year's eve. I thought she was still mad at me and stuff but she was sad and that wasn't the case, I had a change of heart and didn't say goodbye. At the beginning of this year. Jill began dating a once child hood friend of mine. Jill met him through me in our senior year in high school. I didn't want to get involved. I just wanted to tell her that she needs help, what I wished I did last time. My childhood friend and I fought after 2 months of them keeping them a secret. Will things go back to normal? I wasn't popular but I had like eight very close friends (my schoolmates) and I was very satisfied with my life. During the summer, I fell in love and had a fling with this guy that lives very far away and that I'm never going to see again. In the process of getting over him, I was a bit annoying. So, of all the eight best friends, only one stuck by me. The others basically said after like 2 months they don't like the way I am (told me that over the internet), and they told me some really bitchy stuff about my behaviour. They had no understanding what-so-ever. I'm over the fight I had with my ex-friends, I guess, I'm not angry anymore, I just don't want to have anything to do with them. I think I'm still getting over that guy. Don't judge, it's just hard to get over him because (and I realize that mentally, just not emotionally) I guess my picture of him is a bit distorted since he never could do anything wrong - we didn't spend enough time together, and in my mind, he's like perfect. But I'm getting there. I don't think about him as much as I used to. In order to keep my mind off of this sh*t, I joined a singing group and it's all great, I don't want to leave it, even though I'm terribly busy now. But still, after all this time, I don't feel as happy as I used to. I feel like I miss the feeling of being in love, I miss the feeling of being accepted by my friends ... And I just want to be happy again. |
