We're doing a class project about our family and where they're from. My peers know that I'm Vietnamese, but I told them that I was born and raised in the U.S. even though I moved here at 6 yrs old. I'm in highschool now. I think it would be awkward and embarrassing because I've always wanted to fit in and make them feel like I'm one of them. I don't want them to think that I'm different. Do you think I should tell them or keep it a secret?

I've been best friends with this girl for a little over a year now but we've known each other since elementary school (we're in our last years of high school now). So my I've been living with my friend and another girl for about a year now in January. She's gotten a lot closer to a girl that I used to be good friends with that doesn't live with us but my roommate is weirdly obsessed with hanging out with her. Her friend used to be best friends with me but she lied to me about multiple things throughout our friendship including telling me she was going to live 2 years ago with me and another girl and then backed out literally the day we had to sign the lease. About a month ago, her friend (my old best friend) told her that 2 rooms are opening up in her house for the following year and my roommate asked me if I wanted to live with her in her friends house. I said yes because I'm good friends with my roommate. I felt a little bad at first saying yes because our other roommate doesn't know about any of this so I felt like we were just leaving her to find a place to live. Apparently we're supposed to sign the lease by Friday which seems awfully early. I also have never been informed how much rent was or anything logistics. I brought it up again today after being away from our apartment for a week because of thanksgiving break. She's been acting really fishy asking me when I work and stuff and I don't know I have a horrible feeling she's going behind my back and signing the lease without me. Do I sound like I'm being paranoid or does it sound like she's pulling something on me?

I have this one friend who keeps telling me that in order to be a healthier person and have people around, I have to break out of being shy. Problem is, it s not that easy for me, I m in high school and while I have been burned a few times I have always kind of been reclusive. It s just my nature. my roommate sleeps a good portion of the day. no idea why, because she goes to bed early and sleeps in late, but she also takes a lengthy nap in the afternoon i usually don't eat until i get home from school, which is between 2-4 in the afternoon. i can't eat lunch before then because i basically have class straight from 9 or 10 until whenever i get off every day by the time i get home, i am starving and absolutely cannot wait to eat my roommate complains i wake her up from her afternoon nap by using the microwave is this wrong of me? how can my roommate and i come to an agreement? sometimes i nap in the afternoon, but i never get mad at my roommates for waking me up because i understand most other people are going about their day rather than sleeping in the afternoon

Its been a month that my roommate has started studying and sleeping on living room floor and leave all the bedding, bra, basket of laundry (pretty much all of her belongings) on the floor. Its so messy and smelly and I can feel that my nose is getting used to the smell after a while but when I walk in from outside the house I can smell the grossness. On top of that I pay $15 more than my roommate because of the master bedroom and clearly why should I pay more if she is taking two spaces to sleep and I if I wanted that I would let 3rd person in the house so that the rent will be less. They've been trying to make me feel bad about who i am.. out of no where? Both of them, they like gang up on me and start insulting me randomly. Here are some examples: "Oh please, stop crying over your disorders, get over it!" Excuse me? I literally fainted at the time, due to one of my disorders, and they started mocking me because i said I wanted a service dog so i could go to school. What the hell? They just say things that make me feel ugly and horrible. Like how my hair would look so ugly if it was dyed blue, the color i wanted it to be.. but don't want it to be dyed anymore because I'm scared what they'll think of me. They NEVER used to do this to me, they were always so nice and supporting... what happened? Im not good at math and they ALWAYS make fun of me for that. I like chemistry and zoology and they started making fun of me for that because i "cant even do geometry". Ive been starting to feel so.. stupid. They used to be so proud of me, now.. it seems like they're almost embarrassed. I didn't even do anything! They've started buying my brother all these expensive, and very unnecessary, hockey equipment. I asked them for $5 leggings for winter and that mine were all torn, old, and tight.. it's true. The last time they bought me leggings was 4 years ago. They started REALLY making fun of me once the orthodontist said i needed braces. They started insulting me about how I've got such ugly teeth, i ran away crying and feeling ugly.. they started laughing at me?? I believe this started after i had to quit public school. My immune system went crazy because of my disorders, and my doctor said this is partially because of my self esteem being so low. Since then, they've been really mean to me... like they're trying to make me sick again. Last time i was sick, i was in the bathroom all day and started throwing up. I would break down crying. They still make fun of me for that. Im really scared. I feel like when I'm finally, legally, able to move out (too young right now) they'll cut me off. Parents are supporters right...? why aren't they supporting me...? I get straight A's, skipped a grade, and am in all honors. They still make fun of me for being "stupid"... it hurts me so badly.

Just a quick intro: I don't like anyone I've met at my school so far. I'm new.They are all losers. I honestly don't care what others think of me anymore (keep reading there is something I do care about) and I think I might be moving this summer so really don't care too much about making friends. My cousin is my bestfriend (she's my age) and I have another best friend from my old school and another close friend. So as for social interaction, I'm fine. Also I'm thinking about joining a swim team. I also have an extremely loving and caring family by my side, so I have support when I'm sad and lonely when my friends can't be there. Anyways, I am a loner at school. I don't really care because school is for education. Usually, I'm social but shy. I'm a good friend and I'm very nice and caring once you get to know me, but that doesn't change the fact that everyone else is a loser at my school. Here's the situation: I want to be in an area where I don't look lonely, because that can mess with my self esteem. I am planning on just staying in the library because I don't really like to go anywhere else. Also, I'm a T.A. in the Library and the Librarian likes me. However, sometimes the library is closed. When it is, I don't know where else to go. Sometimes i'll just stay in the cafeteria. It's small and relatively quite. BUT THEY CLOSE IT 10-15 MINUTES BEFORE LUNCH ENDS!!! And since the Library is closed on these days, I have no idea where to go. I hate my school for this. Any ideas?

Hypothetical situation: There is a famous music group that consists of 8 male members. Two of them, from an outside perspective, appear to be the closest but according to the other 6 members, they fight constantly and are said to not get along as well as the other members do. These 2 members, despite being known to fight often, actually bought and still continue to buy matching items, which includes clothing, accessories like couple bracelets, necklaces, rings, etc. I guess my question is, what do you think this constant fighting insinuates? Do you think all this fighting which happens between these two SPECIFIC members and not the rest of them, show that they care more for each other? Or does it mean something else?

Hey guys. So this is gonna sound petty and weird lol, but anyway so i have this girl that i went so school with and we used to be good friends. My roommate and I are not particularly close. In fact, we simply don't get along. She leaves the light on all hours of the night. Even when I ask if she could turn it off, she won't. I've gone to my RA multiple times because honestly the sleep deprivation is making me feel stressed and making it incredibly difficult to wake up for my early morning classes. Well before Thanksgiving break, she agreed that she would keep the light off, however, I woke up to the light being on at four in the ******* morning. She was writing some major paper. I calmly told her to turn it off or go to the common room. She did neither. The next morning, she apologized for it and said that since she has no papers left to write, she won't need to stay up so late. I CALMLY suggested switching roommates with a mutual friend of ours who's roommate is very similar to mine. My roommate lost it, she cut me off and said that I would not be able to leave without her consent and refused to discuss the topic any further. She's still angry with me for suggesting the topic and it's been a week since we've seen each other. What do I do? She has now made the environment very uncomfortable. Last night, she shut off all the lights at 10:30 while I was in the middle of working on my homework and got into bed. She won't speak to me. She's ignoring me. I don't know why she's angry. We've addressed this issue of the light being on countless times throughout this semester and she's made little effort to compromise. Just at the mere suggestion of switching roommates, she's furious.

My friend has been having a rough time lately. September the lead singer of one of her favorite bands died. October her boyfriend dumped her they weren't together long. This month on the 17th 10 days after her birthday her babysitter from when she was younger passed away. Then the fallowing days after 3 of her favorite celebrities died 2 days in a row. Then this week she got sick. She said fall is always a bad time for her especially thanksgiving she hates it. She said someone always dies. Me and her brother have been trying to help her but there's not much we can do. She mostly wants me not him. We're not together she's my best friend but she calls me her friendemy in a way we are friends but we don't get a long well. She wants me right now it's after midnight I can't get her to sleep. Okay, so I'm in my third year of uni and other than two people moving out because of year's abroad and a couple of people we know moving in I've lived with the same people for three years. One of the girls I live with is really rude to me but lovely to everyone else. The thing is it's never what she says its the look on her face and the way she says things to me. I'm not being paranoid, I've been experiencing it for two years (first year was okay). The only reasons I can think of is that she thinks im dumb and it annoys her (I'm not stupid but she's definitely smarter) Has anyone had anything similar/ found out the solution/ found a good way of handling it? she just makes me feel so uncomfortable its that bad and I don't know how to say anything because its the way she is not what she says. So in my dreams I cant talk. The only noice I can make is that scratchy sound you get when you loose your voice. Usally in these dreams everyone else around me can talk, they even talk to me like nothings wrong. They will say things like "Have a good day" "Heyyyy Rose" And I also can t scream. My voice becomes a very quiet scratchy sound when I try to scream. All I can do is run. Whar do these dreams mean? And do other people get these often?

I feel terrible because I don't have friends like the Stranger Things group, the Losers Club, or the Goonies. I don't have any real friends. I've been a real jerk to my roommate, I call him string bean, mess with him, steal his food in the fridge and his drinks, but overall I was respectful minus some ball busting. How do I tell my ex he is bad news?

So we'll call this girl M. Me, M and another girl (C) used to be close. We were all in a friend group with some other people. But now, C's hanging out with this other girl (B) and her group. Since C is close with M, M of course is hanging out with them too. But shortly after that C's been starting to ignore me, talk behind my back to B and M, and making me feel like ****. But what's bothered me the is M. Since M is close with C, they always talk and hang out along with B and their new group. From what I've seen so far, M's never sat with me or our old group anymore (because she now sits with C and B). She never says anything or does something about C and B when they talk about me, I don't think I've seen her join in yet, but I know that C and M have made fun of other people in our old friend group. And whenever I'm talking with M and then C comes over, she'll quickly go and talk to C and just leave me there, like she doesn't want C to see me talk with her or something. We still do talk in one class (which C isn't in) but if C's around then she'll always be sitting with and talking with her and the rest of their group. Before, we were really close and now we barely talk because M is always with C, B, and their group. Should I still try to be close friends with her or should I just stop trying? :(

He's about a foot taller than me and he's pretty skinny. I'm skinny too but I'm not scrawny. I have a good amount of meat on my bones. I punch a bag everyday and I spar with my friend every weekend. I am in 9th grade and i am alone at lunch time at school. I used to have one friend but he started talking to other people and he doesn't talk to me.
