At first, I thought he was making sure that I was playing the right notes, but I'm the only freshman he does this to. During the beginning of the season he was a show off, now he gets quiet when I'm around. I don't know if I'm reading too much into this, but sometimes when we're playing next to each other, he stands really close to me. One time during one of the football games, our section had to do this dance move where we were turning left and right (literally) - he was on the set of bleachers next to me, and whenever he turned towards me, he would stare at me and exaggerate the dance move, so by him doing that, I thought I was going the dance move wrong, and I turned away. Anyway, as I was walking back to the storage room (after the game), he was walking behind me and I caught him staring at me, but he didn't look away. I'm not sure if he likes me because he doesn't talk to me. He literally talks to everyone else in our section, except me. But during practice, I didn't have my instrument, but I had my mouthpiece, and he gave me his instrument to play on. So I don't know what's up with him. |

He was away for a while and when he came back walked right up to me and I felt a click or spark or whatever, I managed to fight it off but always felt awkward around him after. Then we were put on a project together, it eased my awkwardness because we got along well in just a professional friendly manner, but now, weeks later, he barely communicates with me at all, I said hello one morning as we passed in the corridor and he just didn't respond. I've started trying to avoid being around him because I just feel really awkward again but I feel like we always end up at the same place at the same time and it sucks because there's just this weird awkward feeling in the air. My teeth are pretty white and they are straight but my smile is so small that you can barely see any teeth when I smile wide. It's referred to also as having a narrow arch smile, when the width and number of teeth that show is significantly less because the arch of the top teeth is narrowed and closer together.When I smile you can only see 4 of my top teeth. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it. There is no surgery that exists to fix this, the only way involves separating the jaw from the skull and widening the top arch with an expander which costs over 25k and is not done for cosmetic purposes rather only for people who absolutely need it done. I have always envied women with big white hollywood smiles because I feel the smile is so important. My face is pretty but the smile ruins it. Do men take notice of these things? |

There was one time where he went on a few dates and cuddled with a girl while we were "together," and he justified it by saying that he shouldn't give up these kinds of chances b.c he can't physically have me, so he'll have a try at someone else. They didn't work out. I've never really gotten over this, and it makes me wonder way too many times where I actually stand in his life. I am an 18 year old (converted/non-hijabi) Muslim American. Im proud to be muslim, I love everything about my faith. Recently, I've dceided to start looking for that "somebody"! Even though i'm completely modern (hanging out, enjoying myself and being out there), I dont want to "date" someone or sleep with guy to guy. I'm a virgin and I believe that sex is for marriage. I want to be with someone that I know I can be with, and in my faith, thats how its suppose to be. But its rough. I work from home with my dad, I dont get out much (I cant drive and I dont go anywhere interesting) & I dont attend a masjid (1) because the nearest one is an hour away and (2) the people there are either shady or too over the top with religion. And as much as I love my faith and try my hardest to be devout in it, even i think that they are on the edge of radical as well. Im just nervous that I wont meet someone until I become a creepy old 40 year-old woman who lives at home with her parents! My parents don't trust online dating, and I don't either. But do you think it's wrong for me to try or want to try.
