My friend from school Kate said that I should come with her to a party held by Steve, her close friend. She invited me several weeks ago and I said yes. The day before New Years Eve, turns out Steve doesn't want me to come. Which he has the right to do, since it's his flat. But the reasoning he gave was that last year I came to another New Years party at his friend's and Steve claims that what I did was 'come in with my friend really high and cause trouble'. It is untrue. His friends got really wasted at that party. Indeed, my friend was high, but she arrived at 1:00 am. She got too high and she said she did not feel well and sat on a sofa. I took her home at 2am. That was all, with no trouble. Other people were also smoking pot, so it's not like we came in and shocked everybody. It is completely okay that somebody doesn't want me at their party. Normally I wouldn't worry, but I am angry, because he said it last minute (because Kate thought there would be no problem). I wanted my boyfriend to meet my friends (a lot of my friends will be there, and he's coming just for a few days, he's never visited me before). Also, the reasoning behind is completely unfair and untrue, at least in my opinion. Additionally, it's not because of me, but because of a friend I brought last year. Also I do not live in my hometown anymore so I come there once a year, so I'm kind of upset that I will miss out on an opportunity to see my friends. |

It makes me sick looking at them. It's also creepy I feel like they're watching me. She makes me watch the weather channel with her every time there's a show about a tornado on. She's been at home sick all week she made me watch that stupid Into The Storm movie with her probably 100 times this week. I'm getting tired of it. She knows all about tornadoes. She even knows about the most violent tornado in history she said was the 1920's tri-state tornado. She even has a giant poster of one on our ceiling it's the first thing I see in the morning and the last thing I see at night. It's creepy and it's also making my wife scared and nervous. Sometimes we sleep on the couch or we sleep in her brothers room. We live in a four bedroom trailer out in the woods we have no storm shelter no bassment I told her if one ever comes our way we're screwed but she said if one ever does come we'd have nothing to be afraid of. Luckily we never get one our way. If I tell her to take the pictures down she's gonna have a crying fit. I don't like looking at them. Over Spring Break, no one chooses me to go on vacation with their family. So I said ok I understood wished him the best of luck. then 2 and a half weeks go by and I am logged onto my messenger minding my own business when he messages me out of nowhere saying "please go away". I didn't message him at all beforehand or anything so I said no this is the internet I will be on here if I want to be if you don't like it then maybe you should block me. then that was that. then the next day I am talking back and forth with one of my friends minding my own business and my other old friend that I still haven't bothered starts in and is starting to tell people that I am drama filled and that they shouldn't be talking to me. Posted: 30 Dec 2016 11:13 AM PST A friend and I have been talking for about a week about hanging out on New Years Eve, but we've struggled to come up with actual plans because both of our parents are fairly anti-alcohol and we don't want to go back to our houses after a night of drinking (we're both 21 yo college students home on break, for context). Another friend who lives out of town invited us to come visit on New Years Eve, and I would love to go because I don't get to see her a lot, plus staying there means we can go out to bars and then go back to her place. The problem is, my friend who I've been talking about hanging out with works New Years Eve evening and again in the morning, so she can't go out of town. She said she understands if I go without her because of her work schedule, but I would still feel bad. I know this is the kind of thing I should probably work out on my own but I'm just hoping for an outside perspective. Is it fair if I go out of town or would that be bailing on my friend? I connected with a few people here but I have not really become close with anyone. After the first few weeks, I was not able to connect with new people, as in I tried but failed. Should I still reach out to the people I actually connected with? My program is 2 years long, and I am in my first year. The only thing is since the class is small, people talk to one another. Does that matter though since I only care abut being friends with the people I connected with. My life back home is alright. I met people in undergrad but no one really stuck around. I was really immature during those times and behind in school because I'm deaf for 12 years. I'm doing way better now and I'm feeling better since then. Anyway my worst year recently is 2015 because I got bullied a lot online and real life and my Freshman year started and felt really isolated and had so many problems in school. 2016 has been way better because I got out of my Freshman year and I didn't get bullied anymore. My Sophomore year has been a big improvement over my social skills and I don't have anymore problems. |

Help Knowing my mum shes going to say somthing rude to him, i remember once i brang a deaf friend home from school (i was like 15) and she says "oh you dont sound like most deaf people" and she freaking mimics the deaf accent Like a low key rude comment... Ugh What would u do? |
| Posted: 30 Dec 2016 10:08 AM PST Aside from the odd night out in town in a large group, they never really ring to see how I am, one of them said to me that I had been very quiet on Facebook recently (I quit almost a year ago) and when I told them that they said they hadn't noticed. I get that both my friends are married so time to hang out isn't exactly priority number one. I am beginning to wonder if I wasn't friends with my best friend would I even hang out with the others and I would say "probably not". But you can't just dump people either. At best I have gone from "old highschool friend" to "fairweather friend". |

Posted: 30 Dec 2016 09:31 AM PST ok its a weird question, but I have this friend, everyone likes her, she runs up to me, messes my hair, puts any **** she can find under my sweater, if I wear a skirt she pulls it up, if I wear a t-shirt with a bigger neck cut she pulls it down, every time I try to drink water she pushes me to the sink, and once I was eating a chocolate bar, she took it, spiled water on my head and messed my hair, And I, with my long nails, grabed her hand 'hurted her', she walked away from me, and then I spiled her with water and she was like noooo stooop I'm hurted. *****, she probably talks **** about me. And she is not the only one, people say **** straight in to my eyes, I don't know what to say, I just say no.Help, how do I deal with those bitches? **** is getting worse :\ |

| Question: Can I trust my friend? Posted: 30 Dec 2016 09:21 AM PST I have friend from school. Went to C6 Academy. I find him in the rain and take care of him and bring him in to my dorm to help him. He was good guy. Shared his fruit roll ups and beef jerky his Filipino mom sent to him. After many years he has become not very much in touch anymore and hardly ever say hello or call or anything. I reach out to him but he doesn't reach back to me or my other friends from the C6. Maybe he is an angry but he said everything is OK but you don't want to hang out or chat on the Watts app or nothing. Can I trust this guy? |

| Question: Changing friend groups sophomore year? Posted: 30 Dec 2016 07:44 AM PST I'm a sophomore at an all girls high school and during freshman year I barely talked (this year I talk a little more, but still not that much; I have social anxiety). I kinda just sat at a random table, and then kept sitting there because I didn't know where else to sit. There were more people in my "group" freshman year, but sophomore year about half of them left and don't even go to the cafeteria anymore. Recently 2 of the girls stopped sitting at the table, one moved to another table and I don't know where the other eats lunch now. I feel disconnected from the remaining girls because they all went to the same middle school. They never ask me to hang out with them and constantly hang out altogether with other people at different high schools from their middle schools. I'm tired of trying to be included because they also are very different from me. I had to ask them if I could join their homecoming group because they didn't originally invite me. I want to switch to another group, but the problem is I don't really talk to anyone else besides them (and i don't even talk to them that much, they don't really know the real me). I feel like I already have a label, but the label doesn't represent who I actually am. I feel like everybody is already secure with their friends except me. Any tips on how to switch friend groups and making new friends sophomore year? I want to do it as fast as possible. Sorry this is so long :/ |
