I have been going through the rushing process all fall *** my school practices winter rush. I became quite associated with one fraternity (A) because my weed dealer is the rush chair. I have become friendly with a lot of guys in that frat and feel quite comfortable there. I was certain this was the frat for me until I went to another frats (B) party and met some cool guys there too. Both frats are considered "upper tier" at my school, though frat A has a better reputation among guys while frat B throws better parties and girls swoon when they are mentioned. I have also begun noticing that frat A's parties aren't particularly great and many of the brothers I don't know are strange to me. Frat A associates with some nice sorority girls but they aren't the hottest on campus. Frat B has a bit of a douchy rep with other frats but they mix with the hottest girls and once you actually talk to the brothers they are very down to earth. Frat B also seems to be building one of the strongest pledge classes on campus and I would hate to miss out on being a part of that. So there is my dilemma; do I rush frat A which is chill , where I'm friendly with a lot of guys, who throw average parties, mix with average girls and will have an okay pledge class. Or do I rush frat B, which is cool, I have a few good friends but don't know a bunch of them, they throw good parties, mix with hot girls and will have a good pledge class? |

I have basically one friend who I see basically whenever he has time, since he's busy working two jobs right now in life. He's quite an antisocial fellow like myself, we both really don't have friends outside one and other. I'm not really happy about my lack of friends and social life. But I really don't know where to start to make friends. I go to a community college but because of my schedule I hardly have time to be on campus to really get a chance to socialize. Normally I got there for my 1 class that day and go straight to work after. In between semesters right now so I got a little more free time now, what course of actions should I take to start making some more friends. |

We were really good friends before and then all of a sudden she started acting like I don't exist, but she acts normal when we are with our group of friends. Like she cut off all contact with me out of the blue. I was thinking that maybe she had things going on in her life and she needed some space so I messaged her telling her if she needs anything that I'm there for her. But I noticed that she is only acting cold towards me, and she removed me from our whatsapp group chat that all my friends are in. That group chat is important because we all help each other with homework (we are university students). I tried asking her if we could talk so I could apologize if I did anything to offend her but she keeps making excuses like she has a doctors appointment and hurries off. I don't want to be pushy so I stopped asking after the second time. I asked a mutual friend if she told her anything about me and apparently she is mad because she texted me telling me to come to class and I responded 5 hours later saying it's too late. She knew I was working on labs at the time that were due in a couple hours. I always respond to her messages within a 15 minute time frame other than this time. I feel her silent treatment is very childish as she is 30 years old. Should I drop her as a friend or just treat her like an acquaintance? |

I'm the type of person to always be there for you and I'm very outgoing. I won the most outgoing superlative. I play sports, but all my friends drink and smoke. I don't do any of that. It's their life and I don't judge them they can do what they choose but I choose not too. My "best friends" just don't even talk to me anymore, they're always hanging out, never invite me anymore. I've talked to them and they just say "oh sorry I've been really busy. I still love you but life just gets in the way" but to the point where u make plans w everyone else and not me. So with this memory loss I seem to come on stupid. My friends and think I'm stupid. They think I need extra help with everything. If I mess up they say "Wow you're really stupid". It's like they don't even know that it hurts. I don't think I'm stupid but honestly I'm starting to. Also they always say I can't help my stupidity and it's not my fault. Posted: 15 Dec 2016 04:34 PM PST Im a 12 year old girl in 7th grade and I ruined a high school seniors chance of becoming prom queen by spreading a rumor and forcing a break up between her and her ex boyfriend. Where i live they don't separate the age groups much and even though middle and high school are two different schools our district allows visitors on the school grounds and high schoolers often come to our school for programs and to help the younger kids. Some kids at my school told me that she wants to get revenge on me by bringing a group of older girls to create a fight and beat me up because she's really depressed the fact that everyone is avoiding her in her high school. One guy in my science class is her younger brother and told me she won't even come out of her room and she's crying every night to sleep. I didnt wanna go this far to the point where people might wanna beat me up. My parents dont even let me stay home when im sick because of their beliefs and in Asian cultures people like my parents believe in education very much so I'm sure theyre not gonna let me stay home over this middle & high school drama. Theres no way to avoid older kids even if theyre in a different school because our schools are only ONE block away and we see each other after school when walking home (also some middle schoolers are friends with them). Ive messed with kids my own age too in 5th grade but they didnt threaten me. |

She uses me and other people. For example, she talked my bff into buying her over $100 dollars worth of junk that she didn't need and promised to pay her back when she gets a job. I understand giving her a few dollars here and there, but not making someone spend over $100! 3. She constantly wants me to take her places like out to dinner, to the movies, etc. She also wants me to pay for her. She can't drive so she is also always asking me to drive her places too. 4. She lies to even when she knows I already know what the truth is. 5. She complains about everything and tries to get my involved with all her drama even when the drama/problem has nothing to do with me How can I explain to her that I don't want to be friends with her? I can't just ignore her because she goes to my school and she is roommates with my bff. |

I don't think she intends to be brag, but gives extra detail and info that makes it so. And she's pretty oblivious to things. One of her friends also feel this way about her. I'm not necessarily jealous but it's something that drives me nuts. I also realized she's very selfish and ungrateful for what she has. For example. she'll exaggerate her parent's wealth, her future career income and then when looking at the things I want to do she'll say things like "that only makes this much $" as if degrading it, and talk about the amount of gifts she gets for Xmas. As for selfishness I mean for example if she asks for something from me I'll let her borrow it (like a jacket if it's too cold outside) but when it's the other way around she doesn't let me. She is my best friend but these things are like flaws that I really get annoyed by in a person that discourages me to talk to her. I don't want to feel like I dislike her or have to look down on her, so how does one deal with this without getting triggered? What happens to me is, I'll get into a new class, strike up conversations with about 3 or 4 kids around me, but I never pull the trigger of " you wanna meet up this weekend?" or something like that. We just chit-chat then when the class ends I never see them again. Any advice to help me is welcome because I'm very determined to, once my trimester ends in March, leave my classes with at least 1 friend. Additionally, I struggle to " pull the trigger" on asking a girl out because, I can never seem to think of a good way to word it, or when I'd put it out there. Plus I'd be worried she'd either say " no" or that she's already dating and that would be awkward. Any tips? They have not made it official, but it's clear that they have something going on and she told me she likes him. So, now he's always hanging out with her. Meaning most of the time when I hang out with her he's there, which makes me feel uncomfortable because I don't know how to act with him around. In addition, we don't hang out as much as we used to, and when we do he's usually there. So as a result I kind of don't like him. Initially, I thought this was because I was jealous about the amount of time my friend was spending with him, and while I do still think that is true, I also think some of it is that I'm jealous of the male attention my friend gets. For instance, she literally just broke with her now ex-boyfriend this past weekend and then already she now has another love interest. Which annoys me because guys barely pay attention to me( I've never had a boyfriend, but at the same time, I don't necessarily want a boyfriend)and the fact that's it's so easy for her to get male attention shortly after breaking up with her ex bothers me. As a result, I've been sort of cold/less social towards her, which I know is so mean. I'm also disappointed in myself for being so bratty/immature. The major reason is the fact that I don't smoke weed anymore and everyone else does.. anyways fast forwarding to summer 2016, I was at the peak of success. I had a good job, money, and my health was great. Well, in August my father had gotten sick so I decided quit my job and move to North Carolina for a couple months until he got better which he did, Anyways by the time my father was healthy again I'm broke, with no money which is fine because money means nothing to me, I move back home in Maryland and my so called friends are giving me funny looks. Very funny looks. When I talk to them or look them in the eyes they seem a little off, even my cousin and brother who hang out together more than they hang with me because they're smoking buddies, started to give me looks because I'm broke I guess. When I had all the money in the world they wanted to hang out and go places and ride around in my car with me (they're all broke by the way so I helped them with money when we went out because that's what real friends do right? Yeah I know it's nobodies fault but my own for being kind.) but now that my car is in the shop, I'm broke, and down right now no one hits me up anymore, no one wants to hang, when I see them in person they ( my friends and family) look at eachother before they respond to me with little smirks and weird looks. |

I've dated two other guys in high school casually but both only lasted about a month. Anyway, because of my lack of experience I don't really know anything about relationships or what love feels like, so I don't know if I should stay with my current boyfriend or not. The downsides to this guy: he doesn't make me laugh. He doesn't appreciate my sense of humor, either. We don't have fun together. The upsides: he's sweet. He's always there for me. I completely trust him. He would never cheat on me or break up with me unexpectedly. He wants to stay together through college and I think it would be nice to have someone to talk to through those first few confusing months at least. He's a really good guy, the quintessentially good boyfriend who opens doors, brings flowers, pays for the meal, etc. Basically what it comes down to, is I don't have fun with him. But I know relationships aren't always supposed to be fun, you have to put work into it. But I can't help but feeling like I felt stronger emotions towards the last guy I was with, who I only dated for a month. He always told me he loved my sarcasm, that I made him laugh, and he made me laugh. My humor is a really important aspect of my personality to me, but my boyfriend doesn't see it or have any sense of humor himself. Is that a deal breaker? |

Posted: 15 Dec 2016 01:03 PM PST My and my gf have been dating for almost 3 years now, and i've known her way before we started dating. I really love her from the bottom of my heart, she means the whole world to me, but, in the last few months, being with her seems to hurt me more than it makes me happy. We've been arguing/fighting a lot and even though it's never my fault I always end up apologizing to her because I just can't see her sad. It's really starting to look like i'm the only one that cares, i'm the only one who's willing to sacrifice anything for our relationship and I have. Idk, idk how to explain it. I'm starting to get depressed, I don't want to break up with her or lose her, but she's not even trying. I really want to get things back to how they were between us, back when we just started dating. What should I do? |

Posted: 15 Dec 2016 12:44 PM PST I had noticed that my friend who I had known for 2 years has been acting distance and cold towards me. We were really good friends before and then all of a sudden she started acting like I don't exist, but she acts normal when we are with our group of friends. Like she cut off all contact with me out of the blue. I was thinking that maybe she had things going on in her life and she needed some space so I messaged her telling her if she needs anything that I'm there for her. But I noticed that she is only acting cold towards me, and she removed me from our whatsapp group chat that all my friends are in. That group chat is important because we all help each other with homework (we are university students). I tried asking her if we could talk so I could apologize if I did anything to offend her but she keeps making excuses like she has a doctors appointment and hurries off. I don't want to be pushy so I stopped asking after the second time. I asked a mutual friend if she told her anything about me and apparently she is mad because she texted me telling me to come to class and I responded 5 hours later saying it's too late. She knew I was working on labs at the time that were due in a couple hours, hence the reason I was skipping class and responded to her message late. I always respond to her messages within a 15 minute time frame other than this time. I feel her silent treatment is very childish. Should I drop her as a friend or just treat her like an acquaintance? |
| Posted: 15 Dec 2016 12:27 PM PST So about a week ago my friends and i decided to do secret santa. This is a group of 7 friends so we drew names and we had a week to buy them something and we decided a day when we would bring it in. And when we switched presents i realized that my secret santa didnt get me anything while all of my other friends recieved something from their secret santa. Im not sure if i should be upset at this because i know its the season of giving but we were each assigned a person to give a present to.. and i didnt recieve anything.. |

I mean i liked it and my friends were there, but my closest friend kept talking to another of our friends and I kinda felt left out a little....and afterwards a lot of girls were taking pics and i was wishing I looked like them. Anyways afterward I just had this feeling of "sad" like I'd lost a friend but nothing had even happened. What is wrong with me? I feel like this a lot after doing things with people.... |

For some reason, the prof brought up the topic regarding poly-amorous and kept checking for my reactions? I felt shy so I looked away, and after he finished the topic, he made this comment about me to the classmate "it was too much info for her". Few days later, I tried to ask the prof out, but he rejected. I don't get why he mentioned those things? |

But a few months ago I've been hanging out with another friend and my best friend stared hanging out with these three girls, who doesn't like me and I don't like them. But then they started inviting her to parties with some other of my close friends. It kind of hunted when I wasn't invited, but then they did again. My best friend didn't say anything about it, not to me or to them. Then I got sad and laid a distance to her. She was a lot with those three girls and they kept leaving me out. So now I am here and I am a little depressed all the time and it hurts when she is with them. I talked to her about it, but she hasn't really changed. I told her that I would think about it until Christmas vacation, but now it's almost here and I'm not sure if I should break up with her....... PS. I'm sorry if it is confusing or something, but english isn't my main langue. |
| Posted: 15 Dec 2016 11:55 AM PST Me and my friends got into a fight but I started talking about them when they started talking about me in this way I am sorta wrong but she's telling her mom and counsler on me for no reason now I could get expelled or suspended for "bullying" but she's no saint she did things too so I Said listen girl I'm sorry I hope we can just forgive and forget she said "I already told my mom and the consular and there's no reason for me to be sorry" I laughed so hard I fell to the floor and cried! |

The college has around 10,000 students and 1,000 staff so it is very unlikely to just bump into them and I haven't bumped into them in over a year. There's no way to find this person on social media or email. How can I find them????? |

So, last year in sophomore year in high school, I got an schedule change to Geometry (where this teacher is) and I started talking to new people and I noticed he always looked at me. He always walks around class, but he goes around my desk the most. Every time I look at him he s looking at me and he has this intense look on his face that makes me so uncomfortable! And every time I would talk to boys he would get really upset and kick them out! (Just the guys I would talk to, didn t happen to anyone else) He would never let me go to the bathroom and when I would be late he would sit me next to him and stare at me until the bell rang. And this year it got so much worse. I got him this year for math again (I m 16 now) and I was talking to my best friend (girl) and he would stand next to us to listen to our conversations, and when I told her I was bisexual, he got really mad!! And every time I would talk to girls he would be upset, and my friend would get creeped out too. he never cares when anyone else is late, but when I m late he talks to me for a long time and just keeps looking at me up and down and I can t take it anymore. I feel too bad every time I go to this class. I m sorry for making it long:( |

So as it s christmas soon we re giving gifts to all our friends at school and she bought hers in today and I m bringing mine in tomorrow and today I realised she didn t get me anything, I m not upset or anything, just think it s a bit rude. | Question: What should I do about my math Teacher? Posted: 15 Dec 2016 09:08 AM PST So this year I had a really cool (or so I thought) math teacher named Joseph Rankin. I started talking to him and we became good friends at the beginning of the year. I even started bringing him delicious sausage and egg biscuits in the morning in addition to a ho ho. Just when I thought we were considered best friends, he completely embarrassed me during math class and made fun of me for bringing him delicious food. I've just been ignoring him now, but i miss the days when we used to be pals. What should I do; I just want him to apologize. |

I told another one of my friends and she agreed that they were and told me that the other day when I was out she had my test to mark and the girl that s being mean told her to mark it harshly so I get a bad mark and if I got higher than them i wouldn t stop boasting about it. ( I am kind of annoyed about this but anyway) when I got home I was asking another friend for advice on the situation and she said the reason the girl was rude to me all day was because today I was being annoying and they all thought it except for the friend who told me about the test. I am really upset and it has hurt my feeling how do I confront them? Help! |
