Posted: 26 Dec 2015 05:07 PM PST So when I was growing up my brothers and sisters all got great grades and had a lot of friends. I am completely different. I never did good in school and my social life has always sucked- I have a hard time making and keeping friends. My brothers and sister are all married and have kids but I do not. I do have a lot of medical problems related to something I have wrong with my head. I have had a ton of surgery and always put it off as the reason for the difference but maybe that is too easy of an explanation and more of an excuse. One of my conditions does have as its side affect social isolation and I always think that that is the reason. Any help or suggestions thanks |

And I only hanged out with him 2 times this week and he came over to my house for the first time this week. After that I didn't hang out with him for 5 days I was hanging out with one friend of mine and I feel retarded, I tried to hang out with him 2 days before he went but he couldn't. So I hanged out with him the day after and he's not just moving to another house,neighboorhood,another state. This state is in Gerogia and I live in Oklahoma.I told him my phone number, I don't even know if he can text me so the only option is to mail and that's going to take 1 week per letter ;( I can't the only way is to text in which he can't do because he doesn't have a phone or send letters that takes weeks to get to me. |

One night he caught me having sex at our town park with a man. I was 17 at that time,he was 18. This happened about some days before our high school graduation in 2004. We weren't together so I had the right to do that. He was hurt however and just ran away. I tried to talk to him at school in the days afterwards but he would just ignore me. He joined the marines that summer and died in action in Iraq in the winter of 2005 at the age of 19. Now after 10 years that he left this world I still get sad that we ended our friendship because of that and that I will never be able to fix it. I was thinking about going to lay flowers to his grave but I don't know if I can. Plus I was not cheating on him but I just miss him during this time of year and to know the way he died makes me cry loud. He came in the door and I was standing by the stove making dinner and he says You look really hot by that stove. I looked over and he had deep red roses with baby's breath and I said well I'm just making dinner, my parents are out so I fend for myself. He walks over and puts the roses on the counter and puts his arms around me as I was stirring dinner. I turned around for a hug and our noses bumped one another. He rubbed my back while we hugged and then I turned back around to stir dinner and he kissed the top of my shoulder really seductively. After dinner was done, he says I didn't think you could cook, but that was definitely a great dinner. I said Well thanks. I learned from the best. He smiled and said What time are your parents gonna be home? I just looked at him with a weird look and said 9 why? He smiled and said that's 2.5 hours. We just sat at the table and talked for about 10 minutes and he smiled, pushing his head towards the living room. We went to the living room and sat down, then he asked me if I had a blanket that we could snuggle up to by the fireplace. I went upstairs for a blanket and came down and he was completely shirtless. Talk about great looking body. He laid down on the couch and I just looked at him and smiled. We cuddled up next to one another and he was stroking my back and kissing my forehead to the end of my nose, while I rubbed his chest. He grabbed my hand from his chest and we started moving our fingers inside of each others like we were holding hands. I told him he had to be gone by 8:45, but all he could do was just smile. When 8:45 hit, he got his shirt on and got his jacket on and grabbed his keys and said, How about dinner with me Friday night at my place say around 7pm. I couldn't say No, so I agreed to go on a date with him. I walked him to the door and said, Rick this isn't a joke that we met up tonight? He smiles... No it wasn't. I enjoy being around you. He proceeded to kiss the end of my nose and the top of my forehead and said I will see you Friday night at 7 ok with a smile on his face. I said Alright. |

My roommate has been snapping at me for a while now...not constantly but every now and then. Recently however, my roommate snapped at me but, unlike before, looked very angry / annoyed and went to sit far away from me unlike usual. Needless to say, I felt very bad, very rejected. I dont really know what I did wrong, except that when im in the kitchen I tend to talk a lot, but after my roommate said its annoying I stopped doing it. After my roommate snapped at me angrily I stopped talking to my roommate for a day. My roommate then apologized but since I still dont really know what my roommate's problem is I did not accept the apology. So we havent spoken for a week. We dont sleep in the same room but there is total silence in our apartment, we avoid each other all we can. Obviously its not pleasant. |

I was thinking we were building a great friendship between all of us. Now that i am on winter break, i realized none of them have texted me or contacted me in any way to hang out/to even talk to me. I noticed that i initiate a majority of the conversations sometimes in school, but mostly out of school texting wise. Now just today, the whole reason i am typing this is because i found out the rest of them have been hanging out without me... It is sort of putting me down since i have thought that they were my friends, but since none of them have contacted me recently to hang out and all, and this just proved that they really aren't. I guess i was just hoping i found some trustworthy friends and now, well they are fake. I really just don't know what to think at the moment. I am mostly fine since this has sort of happened before, but it is still something that sort of brings me down. any suggestions on how to react when school starts again? I was just gonna stay back, and not really say much just let things role out and see if they say anything. anyways please leave your thoughts on this. |

Posted: 26 Dec 2015 12:22 PM PST My guy friend and I were laying in my bed talking and he whispers, "Every-time I'm around you, I get a "hard-on"" and I couldn't understand what he was saying, so I had him say it again. When he said it again, I was in complete shock and asked him if he had one. He said, Yea but it wasn't a full on. We've been cuddly friends for a while so we cuddled with one another, then I told him that I could feel his (friend) and he said, See what you do to me beautiful. I turned on my side and I said I'm glad that I can turn you on. Then we kissed each other good night. I kind of laughed when he said it the second time, but I didn't know how to react to him saying it. Would you find this weird from a guy friend? Is there something wrong with him or is this a good thing? He's really good looking like drop dead good looking. When we are in public together, he gets stared down by all the women. I have to like stay back a few feet from him because of how good looking he is. I wasn't like this until I mentioned it to him and he said, My eyes are on you only, no one else. Then he kissed me on my forehead. @Brianna: OMG!!! You're hilarious. It was just a kiss and nothing else. Like a peck. Nothing with tongue or anything like that. |

| Question: What should I do for my birthday? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 12:14 PM PST I am turning 15 soon and I dont know what I should do for my birthday thus year. My parents dont have a lot of money to spend on my birthday party and the don't like friends round our house. I would only invite 4 friends and my sister to the event at a maximum. I am not very social so wouldn't wwant an actuanparty with disco lights and stuff like that. Have you got any suggestions? |
| Posted: 26 Dec 2015 12:08 PM PST I'm a female who recently turned 26. I look a bit young for my age (perhaps 22 or so). I've heard many people say that the cut off age for clubbing and going out dancing should be 25 or so. That makes me feel like a bit of a loser. I still enjoy the occasional night out clubbing with my friends. Now, I understanding branding someone a "loser" if they are 26 and spend all their time and money getting trashed in clubs. This isn't the case for me. I go out once a month tops because I'm very busy with work and my PhD program. However, after a super stressful week sometimes it helps me unwind. I adore spending hours getting all dressed up and then dancing until the clubs close. I also enjoy EDM festivals in the summer months. I attend one every summer. So, in your opinion how old is too old to be clubbing? How old is too old for music festivals? Is there a cut off age or should people just do it until they don't want to anymore. Perhaps part of the reason I still enjoy it is because although I'm engaged my fiance and I have decided not to have children. I understand some people would stop going out at 24, 25, and 26 due to starting a family. I guess I'm just torn between enjoying going out and feeling like I should stop because of what people might think. |

| Question: Should I get help for him or should I give him space? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 12:02 PM PST Some background to this: my circle of friends have become very close to the parent of one of our best friends (we are all in our late teens and early 20s, he is 48). Tragically, we lost him (our friend) 3 months ago and it hurts every day, but we are trying to get through it. Our lost friend and his father had an extremely close bond (he had raised him alone since early childhood and he did not get into another long-term relationship, so he was his only child). We have also tried to support his father, but his behavior has become worrying to me. Whenever we saw him, he always tried to act happy (sometimes overly so) always tried to take care of us (even though we should have been trying to take care of him). The fact that he always overdid himself when trying to project an image of happiness and being ok was the first sign to me that something was not right. After a while we began to notice that a whiff of alcohol began to follow him and although we never saw him drink (or at least he never drank in front of us) there seemed to be an increase in the number of beer bottles in his house. I asked my mother for advice and she told me that we were being too intrusive and that we should leave him for some time to get over grief. Apparently when she saw him in the supermarket a week before Christmas he was in tears and was sobbing in a relatively isolated corner. She says she did not say anything to him because she did not want to embarrass him (cont) However, she did speak to him later. We were away for Christmas so I could not see him then, but some of my friends did and told me that he was in terrible shape. I am wondering if I should get help him as a precaution, or if we are being too intrusive and should give him time to grieve. |
| Question: My best friend is annoying me a lot lately? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 11:49 AM PST it started when we both went to the same high school after middle school. i have always been more social and shes very nerdy. i have become friends with so many girls since going into my freshman year and now she will not stop following me. i cannot even go to the cafeteria without her asking where im going and constantly pestering about what i am doing. Shes also extremely smart with a 99 average but she constantly rubs it in my face. its gotten to the point where i dont want to hang out with her anymore but i dont want to lose our friendship...weve been friends for 12 years. i cant get space because we are in all of the same classes and our siblings and parents are best friends. im scared its going to get to the point where i will say something to her that will ruin our friendship. shes fine when we are alone but when other people are there she feels the need to be conceited and wont let me be with anyone else alone. |

| Posted: 26 Dec 2015 11:46 AM PST I have two friends/roommates, both of which I am in college with and was in the military with before college. I am a male and they are both females. Recently (last 2-3 months) whenever we go out, they complain that I completely ignore them and that I they don't want to hang out with me when I am with other friends. I don't see it, when we go out with the student organization for veterans i'm involved in or with other friends from school I always make a serious effort to try to involve them. At the last event we went to, both of them sat against the wall at a table on their phones. I tried my best to get them to socialize by buying them both drinks and brought my friends over to the table, but they just quietly drank and played on their phones anyway. When a girl who I am interested in dating showed up I made much less of an effort to involve them because I felt it was a waste of time. This is the common theme of the last few months and always ends with them complaining that I ignore them and they don't like hanging out with me when i'm with others. I always point out my efforts and they say that neither of them are good at socializing so its my fault for abandoning them. The girl I am trying to date invited me out with a small group and told me to invited my roommates, they both begrudgingly accepted the invite but also complained to me that I will probably ignore them again as they accepted (I do plan on focusing on the girl I like). Should I rescind my invitation? |

Posted: 26 Dec 2015 11:45 AM PST This might sound ridiculous but it really is true, my friend says she has ghosts in her house and that she had them for a long time but recently she started to draw pentagrams (ikr!!) and sent me pictures of them saying they look pretty. I asked why she drew them and she said because something was telling her to. Now she said she wanted to.kill herself and that tonight she will wait for him whom I assume is Satan. Please help please!!! |

Posted: 26 Dec 2015 11:39 AM PST ok so im extremely picky when it comes to friendships. not only you have to be loyal and honest, i also wouldn't be friends with someone if they had the following traits: -religious person -doesnt believe in spirituality or a higher being -a person who limits herself/himself to one specific genre of music(especially the garbage teen music they play nowadays on the radio) -sensitive person -anti fun -pessimistic so im done ranting. how can i stop being so picky ?? |
