Life in another state? Does the judge give summer or winter break visits to the father say if mother won full or joint custody?

My friend is 18, and her mom controls her with everything. She doesn't have her license because her mom doesn't want her to have that much freedom, but she also says she need to get a job so she can pay for the insurance. BUT WONT LET HER GET A REAL JOB! She is extremely talented and has been offered a scholarship at a school on the other side of the US. But her mom won't let her go and basically crushes her dreams because she doesn't want her to leave even though she won't be alone bc she will have her son. She isn't allowed to handle the money she gets so she can't get a bank account or even get out of site to open one. Never has spent the night with a friend from school that her parents have known for 12 years. How can I help her because I know she is having hard time dealing with it. She can't move out her parents won't let her, she has no where to go, no job or anything you know? I told her that I can help her get a job with me where I work, and if she needs to open up a bank account I can help her with that. Also if she doesn't want her mail read by her mom she can have it mailed to my po box so her mom won't know any of her information. She has tried telling her, writing long letter, and counseling but nothing seems to work. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP WITH SOME ADVICE.

My MIL had 3 boys and their daughter passed very young. Over the years, I have noticed that she has given me shoes, sweaters, jewelry, etc. Many times, the items were too small but she argued that they fit her and they should fit me (we are about the same height, although I am heavier/curvier than she). I have different feet than she (wider) and she says she figures they would fit. What would be the reason that a woman would buy her DIL things? I'm 16 and ai think it is ridiculous that my parents still do the same "behave-and-you-get-a-sticker thing" that they did when I was younger. They can't seriously think that doing that makes me care to listen to them. So what if I don't get a sticker for the day? Whooptee freakin' do! I really don't care. I love her so much. She's like a mother to me. She saved me, kept me from being homeless, and even gave me a roof over my head while I got my feet on the ground. But it seems like we don't see eye to eye on certain things. She is very opinionated on how I should act or dress, or decorate my own bedroom, and what kind of things I should buy. She told me its not adult at all-and I was so proud of myself for fixing it! It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't get offended when I didn't do the things she wanted. I'm now a 15 year old male, we are homeschooled, and my mom works and dad "does" our school. I NEVER GET ANY MONEY FROM ANYWHERE. My parents won't give me money, won't let me get a job, won't let me help for money, and will not let me accept ANY money from relatives. My grandmother sent me 100$ dollars onetime through mail and they took and told me they did and I don't need money. We never buy healthy food and my mom never makes anything for us. My school is hard and my dad flat out just doesn't care about our education. He just goofs off all day and shops and plays his iPad and I'm stuck doing 10 grade hard Christian homeschool program alone. My dad and mom only care about themselves and each other. Is it a sin to just try to avoid them and abuse the fact they'll pay for my college and just hang on till then? my grandparents are that age and my grandpa has Parkinsons and my grandmother is in good health but nothings easy when you're that old. She does literally everything and I can call at any time and she is hurrying around with something she is having to do. I thought being old was a time to relax and enjoy the rest of your life but most I know are busier now than they were before retirement because everything is harder and takes 5 times the time to do things. She said it's worse than being young with a job and wiht aches and pains.. .sounds horrible.

Im back from my freshman year of college for Christmas Break.For some reason their presence pisses me off. Idk why cause they dont really do anything bad. Now as we're adults I tell her she needs to think about herself and save for herself Now she's realizing it and she's trying to do it herself. My older sister makes $20 dollars an hour. My mom makes $10 an hour but she makes extra money with errands. Now I make $9 part time and while going to school. My sister has always been a spender. My mom is kind of a spender but saves too. My mom is not into clothes or shoes My sister now got mad at me because she showed me a package of $2000 dollars. It's a package for three days and it's not including tickets so we're talking about 3000 dollars. It says 78.00 to put towards package. So she's telling me that each my sister mom and I would just have to pay 78 dollars each. After that we would make 5 payments towards the package. She doesn't get that to go to a trip you have to save before you go. She went with her husband to New York last year and with tickets included paid 1100 dollars which I still think is too much. Still she got it paid and was done with it. Than she told me not to get hotels under 3stars. That's why her trip was more because the hotel they got was more expensive. She's telling me we should just do it this way. I told her I didn't want to have debt after we came back. She told me well you go your way I go by my budget and what I get paid by and she says I'm cheap. Which I have no problem with. Now that I appreciate monet more I have been able to save 2000 dollars this year. I got to ger expensive gifts for Christmas at very good prices. I even got her a robe of 80 dollars for $25. I know those are only expensive because of brand. Its looking for good deals. I wish I had learned all this when I was young. I knew we were going to have trouble when we were going to go on a trip.

My mom, sister and I are moving into a 4 bedroom home with my Moms bf and his daughter, who happens to be one of my best friends (we're both 14). Let's call my "stepsister" Sophia. Sophia has always gotten what she's wanted from a young age, so whenever one of us might get something nice, I always get the short end of the stick. My little sister has already picked out her room in this new house, and there are two other rooms. One is significantly bigger than the other. My mother and Grandma have always been pretty protective over me and my cousins. In 2010 my cousin (who lived with us) was huffing air duster while driving passed out at the wheel and drove through a brick structure he was DOA. My family went ballistic.. I know this may be a bit personal, but I need help. My dad is a good man, and tries his hardest to be a great father, but he makes some decisions and acts in ways that really irritate me. I want to talk to him about these problems that I have with his actions, but it's hard to do that. I m 21 and recently got my first boyfriend, and I m the baby in my house. My parents are upset I m growing up, they don t always say it but I can tell it bothers them that I m not home a lot, that I m experimenting with drinking (I ve only drank twice since my birthday), and that I have to split my time with holidays and that I sleep over my boyfriend and friend s houses. I m not a bad kid, I just wanna have lots of life experiences. How can I show my parents I don t hate them but I just wanna experience things?

Whenever I prove my mum wrong during an argument, she storms out of the room and doesn't want to speak to me anymore. This never happens when my dad and her argue. Do mums really hate being proved wrong by their kids?

Went on two dates and kissed already. I noticed last night she wrote "babe" & in love emoji face on 3 pics of this guy that's been going to her school for the past 4 years. Keep in mind they never hang out. I also noticed myself many guys & girls call each other boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife for play in school myself this could be playing or not I don't know. Should i be concerned or no?

I'm home alone, and I feel really sick. I thought my mom wasn't going to work today (it's New Years Eve) but she isn't at home and she won't answer her phone. My dad isn't at home either and according to this phone location app, he isn't at work either. It says it "could not locate". I worry alot and I also don't feel well, this is really starting to stress me out. My dad almost always answers his phone and if he went to work then the app should say he is at work by now. Please someone help

I am an adult but I need help. When I ask my parents to help me get out of bed or pick something up for me, I see the anger in their eyes and their faces get all red. I just need help for a couple of days. That s it. But they aren t being nurturing at all. They re actually being the opposite and acting out in rage. I don t understand this. Their anger is making my pain worse but I can t live alone for a few days. They also fight with one another. That makes things worse, too.

This ain't new. Like I've been having this from a young age. I don't like anyone touching what's mine. To the fact I get extremely angry even when someone steps on my shoe? The anger just overtakes me badly and then I get into serious fights. Even with my own siblings and mother. I say extremely stupid stuff and I always regret it afterwards. This always happens. Plus I'm extremely stubborn. So that just adds to it. The both always get me in trouble. Like the other day I had a fight with my brother and I was so angry my mother told me to keep my phone and I broke it. What do I do? Help?

I haven't told him and I act "polite" to him but I really hate him deep down. I kinda hate my mom at times too cause she has no backbone and let's my dad do whatever he wants when I finish my masters I wanna get married and move away forever

A while ago I used to go out a lot with my friends but any fun had was just ruined by my parents. They wouldn't let me go anywhere my friends were aloud, and they wouldn't let me stay out nearly as late as my friends. These were just the main things. It frustrated me so much I just stopped going out with them. I know it sounds like a very dramatic reaction but that's not the point. I've now gotten into a habit of just sitting on the couch most days. I'm 15. My mom gets so angry she tells me to go out with my friends. However when I try, they're gone "too far from home" or theyre "the wrong people" (she's never met them). She says I should be getting some physical excercise, however I've been asking to join the gym for the past 2 months (not aloud). I'm not overweight or anything, I play rugby and I love fitness. She seems to be notorious for telling me to do one thing, yet when I ask I'm not aloud. I hate it, it's hypocritical. How can i make her lighten up, and have a more relaxed attitude towards life? She's the reason I'm bored of life. I'd honestly do anything for her to just become fun.

I'm a 15 year old girl and I was laying in bed, half conscious, while overhearing my mom and brother talking next to my room. Yesterday, I did the dishes without having to be asked because in all honesty, I was tired of looking at it. This morning, I hear my mom putting me down. Saying how I probably only did it to get my way and she was pointing out everything else I've done wrong and calling me names; lazy, brat, selfish, and other hurtful words. All I did was try to help out around house... Should I confront her about it and attempt to reason with her?

So lately my dad will returning home around 8 and sometimes at midnight. Before this he returned at 5. He's now always 'busy' like he rarely talk with the family and always go out although he's not working that day. My mom suspects that my dad is cheating on her. I also thought like that but I pushed it away because I always have this nightmare that my dad's cheating on her when I was a kid. Im afraid that it's actually real. And I feel sad whenever my mom asked me "where's your father actually going?" I can see the disappointment in her eyes. I dont want their marriage to fallen apart. So what do I do?

I m scared that my parents won t live long enough to see me have my kids. They had me when they were relatively older (My mom was 35, my dad was 40). My dad is 61 now and my mom is 56. I m only just about to graduate college this year and am nowhere near ready to have kids anytime soon. Both of my parents have had health complications, and I don t think my mom takes care of herself as much as she should (smoking, drinking, heart problems, diet). I just want them to be okay, but I don t know how to express this concern without stressing everyone out, including myself. Is this a conversation I should have with them? Am I being paranoid over nothing? Can it be helped? Or should I just keep my mouth shut? Please help. Thank you.

I missed out from attending a program that basically makes young people (like me) apart of it by giving us hairstyle ideas and dance moves, and now my parents have permanently blacklisted me from.such programs where my dad is also forcing me to being a hyper-masculine male by bossing, scolding and blaming me for everything while also trying to get me to eat foods very high in protein. He may also look for any reasons to give me the silent treatment so he can pretend to cough in my presence while also treating my siblings in a very nurturing manner. I also complained to my mum why I was blacklisted where she simply said "you don't need to attend" with a stupid expression. Here are the things they did. 1 - Permanently blacklisted me from ever attending for simply missing out. 2 - My dad is forcing hyper-masculinity in me by blaming, bossing and scolding me for everything and trying to get me to eat foods very high in protein. He would also treat my siblings in a very nurturing way while I miss out whenever he gets a chance to give me the silent treatment I'm a non-rebellious, non-condescending, non-violent person. I was blacklisted at the age of 22 where I'm now 23.

I'm a 39 year old single mother whose ex is of no help. I have a decent job, but am on a budget, supporting my child on my own, missing work for illnesses, etc. My 60 year old mother is a burden, having lost all her money in bad marriages, with nothing saved for retirement and not a penny to her name. She hasn't been working regularly, and I paid her $135,000 to watch my child for 3 years while she lived with me, all expenses paid. She saved none of that. She also drove me up the wall. I finally started drawing boundaries with her, she moved out (on paper anyway), and now has no car to get to/from her temp job that pays a pittance. I'm broke and can't help her other than feeding her everyday, but I'm losing sleep worrying about her. I resent that she's so irresponsible and that she never helped me with these expenses (I paid for my own braces, cars, college, wedding, etc.). She's such a flake! And she's stuck to me like glue. I know in my head that she is reaping what she sowed and that I need to reserve what I can for my innocent child, but why am I plagued by guilt and pressure and stress regardless? My conscience is a lot more robust than hers! She needs to give it her all while she's well enough, but instead she's a lazy, hoarding, dysfunctional leech.

I know my problem isn't as bad like him getting drunk, affair and all that other stuff but he's like typical Korean father who is just a total *****. He's rude af and expects me to respect him just because he's the only family member in the house with a dick. I tried setting up a suicide but decided against it since I found out I wanted to do pastry arts. But he's being such an ***. I've done self harm before, just scratching my own arm with my nails to seen when I'll bleed and stuff.
