| Posted: 31 Dec 2015 04:24 PM PST My best friend is depressed and we currently live far away from each other and can only use instant messaging to communicate. She keeps leaving mid-conversation and ignores me for weeks and then comes back as if nothing happened. And sometimes says rude things for no apparent reason. Today I just burst and sent a really long message where I said she s not even the person I used to know anymore and that she is the one pushing me away when I am always doing all I can to help and the I also write I don t feel like talking to her anymore as it hurts my feelings. I regret it instantly after sending it and sent her an apology a couple of hours later after calming down. I feel so bad and I am so scared she hates me no and never wants to talk to me again or thinks of me as some kind of traitor. She hasn t always been depressed, it started about six months ago and she is slowly getting better. But sometimes I feel like she ignores me for no reason. We used to be so close and we ve known each other since we were five and now we´re in our twenties and her beavior changed so much after she got depressed I get frustrated sometimes and say things I don t mean. Since it is over messages they always remain and it s not like she can "just forget what I said". I feel so bad I don t know how to stop beating myself up about it. |

So today at like 3pm my mom's like, today I'm taking you to your friend's house at like 6. And I told her I didn't wanna go, and she said it's top late because her friend made extra dinner because I was coming. So now I apparently took too long to change; and she's like "I wasted my time cleaning, and this whole time you were dressing up, just so I can take you to your friend's house". And I said, I'm going by force, so don't complain that you have to take me, I never said I wanted to go. And she yelled, "Well too late, my friend already made extra preparations, I can't cancel now", and I said, "or you could've just asked me if I wanted to go before you told her that I was gonna go to her house". And now I have to go have dinner at my friend's house and spend the night (until like 11), and I'm really not in the mood. This isn't the first time she sets up these little play dates for me. She sets up these play dates for me and doesn't even ask me before she does. I appreciate her trying to get me with my friends, but she can at least ask me before making plans for me. I always tell her and she still sets me up for playmates without telling me. What can I do? Thanks |

I've noticed small hints here and there that she acts two-faced. She's nice to my face but on social media she's rude for no reason. Like I asked her if we could hang out now during the holiday, she said she was busy, and I said "Wow are you busy 8 days in a row? haha wow! :P" and she's all "Yeah I might be (thumbs up smiley)." Small things like that, tiny hints that make me go "wtf?" but then I see her at school and she's just as nice as ever. For instance I was sick and she went to walk outside with me, bought me some juice and went to the school nurse with me, etc. She tells me personal things at home and who she's dating, etc. I tell her things too and so on and forth. Basically just what good friends do. Now, today I noticed she unfriended me on facebook. I was devastated cause I started putting 2 and 2 together. I asked her why she did that and was pretty dramatic over text. Then she's like "I'm only gonna have facebook for my family and cousins" but if that's truly the cause, why would we still have like 10 mutual friends? I also told her to just speak the truth for once, and she was really rude back telling me to shut up and count to 10 before I text anything. She also said I was embarrassing, making nothing to something big, etc. I mean, WHY would someone react that way if their intentions were good to begin with? Basically SHE'S causing drama by telling me all these rude things. Help? We are 18 and 19! |

I was shopping online and bought a shirt, and the day I posted about it again on snapchat this guy went and bought the same shirt as me then posted about it. lol. i was talking about Lana Del Rey with someone through text and they said "she's pretty bad honestly" so I was like "well I like her" and the next day that person was posting videos on snapchat of them listening to her songs. I got a pair of glasses and this guy got the same pair 2 weeks after me. someone asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said a Polaroid camera then they said "what even is that?" but now they got one and they constantly talk about it. I painted my room a different color and a few days later this guy I know painted it the same color. I was talking about a youtuber named drew monson, and this girl I know said "I hate him he's so annoying" and now she posts about him all the time and it bugs me so much. I shouldn't let it get to me, but I can't not. it's so annoying, and obviously I never get the credit for it so people just think "oh gosh that persons so cool" when really they just copy me. it might seem like an age thing since I'm 13, but I don't think this is gonna go away. how can i calm down? I don't want to be like this. |

My whole family did because we were all close but one day the husband of my moms friend asked me if I wanted to sleep with him and his friend. I was a child and at the time I didn't know anything about sex but I knew him asking me that was wrong and it scared me. I didn't tell anyone at first but I just didn't want to go to their house anymore but since I was a kid my mom made me. Well one day they call my mom and get into a fight with her because the guy told his wife he heard me tell someone my mom didn't want me around him because of that and the thing is I never said anything to anyone so I guess he got scared that I did tell and tried to cover it up or something. Well anyways we stopped going down there. My mom quit talking to them and I still at this point didn't say anything to her. A few years later her and my aunt were talking about it and I told them what happened. I should had told them a lot sooner but I didn't. I'm an adult now. I seen him in a store I worked at a few years ago and it really freaked me out so bad. He was Native American and ever since I can't stand anything that has to do with that culture. Lately I've thought about writing his daughter and telling her the real reason we stopped talking to them but I also don't want them starting anything with my family because its my problem and I don't want them having to deal with it. Should I just let it go or what? |

Every since I went to 6th grade, I became extremely shy. I would never talk out in class. I sometimes forced myself to, but my voice would get really high and soft and it made me not want to speak out. In 7th and 8th grade, it got a bit better, but I was still very shy and sort of awkward. I'm in 9th grade now. I was apprehensive to start 9th grade, but I suddenly stopped being shy. I talk to nearly everyone in my grade and I'm friends with a lot of them. I'm a lot more confident and outgoing now , but I'm not sure why. Does anyone know? |

I am 22 years old and there is a great family who lives next door to me. The son is 19 and the daughter is 17. I am incredibly close to the both of them and whenever I'm with them I feel like I can be completely myself. Here's the thing... On christmas eve, I went over their house and I had not seen him in almost a month. When I was going to leave the son hugged me a few times and even smelt my hair. Later that night we were all hanging out with his sister and one of our old neighbors who moved away a few months ago. We all like to hang out in the dark with the lights off and just chill, We were laying on the floor and he went and held my hand twice, secretly. He has done this several times before that day and I never thought anything of it, Around 3am his sister falls alseep and then at 5am our old neighbor falls alseep. He immediately grabbed me and pulled me closer to him. Again, I didn't think anything of it because we are just that close. Until, his heart started beating really fast and his breathing was shortening. He was continuously pulling me closer and closer. This actually happened a few years ago when it was just us and his sister but back then he was 15 or 16 so I knew he was young and didn't think anything of it. I'm just confused because I have never had feelings for him and I'm scared he might have them for me.. What do you guys think? |

It went very well and towards the end of dinner she said, "well you have definitely impressed me." We then finished up and when I walked her to her car, I asked her if she would like to go out again and she gave me a big smile and said "well, of course!" I then said "wow, really??" And she seemed a little concerned that I was shocked. She then told me she would call me when she got back in town. I then told her to text me when she got home to make sure she got home safe. She did that and included how much of a wonderful time she had. I texted her Christmas Eve morning telling her good morning and wishing her a safe trip back home for Christmas and she didn't respond. I "liked" one of her Facebook pics on Christmas and she immediately sent me me a snapchat and we sent a few snaps back and forth that day. I texted her Tuesday asking her how she was doing, and she texted me back saying that she was doing well and she was "happy to hear from me" and even asked how I was doing. She never responded to my next text. I sent her a snapchat of my lunch at a restaurant yesterday and replied back instantly saying: "JEALOUS!!!" and we have sent a few snaps Back and forth but she hasn't responded to my last two snapchats. I don't understand what's going on. Did she lose interest? Should I just move on? |

I used to be really close friends with them and everything and they were the ones who approached me first so everything was good until I got into a fight with one of the girls and then I decided to stop being friends with all of them. Now they are so mean to me I have spread a rumor about them which may be the reason why but that was years ago and I apologized already. They obsess over me and have been doing so for years I feel like I'm being stalked and it's mainly only one of the girls that is the meanest. They are also social outcasts of the class now that I ditched their asses and I've found 3 new friends. In August 2013, I flew out to NY to see him and he confessed that he was in love with me, but I couldn't be in love with him because I was seeing someone else. We remained close and then in February of last year, I ended up telling him how much I actually felt for him. By April, we really started getting serious with one another. We've been serious ever since. We've never had sex or anything like that because he says that it will happen when we are both ready. I asked him why he was waiting out for me and he said, because I love you and respect you, plus I don't want to be with anyone else. Now he's been staying over at my parents house with me and we basically just been kissing the whole entire time, we're around one another. He currently is shirtless in my bed and has an amazing body and sexy as hell. We're not dating or anything, just serious about one another. He's 27 and I'm 26 and we're both virgins. Would you say this was love in the making or something else? What should I do about him? Are we ruining our friendship with one another by being this serious? |

Posted: 31 Dec 2015 11:34 AM PST I know today everyone is happy and in a party mode but 2016 marks for me the tenth anniversary my best friend died in action in Iraq at age of 19. The saddest part is that he died probably hating me.Long story short his dad had died like 6 months before school ended and since then he wanted to be with me every single second of the day,I had a boyfriend but he wanted to see me no matter what. I liked him but just as a good friend. One day I told him to back off,since then he would just ignore me. After high school ended he joined the united states marine corps and was KIA 2 weeks after turning 19.After 10 years it still hurts me,even reading on his grave "LCPL US MARINE CORPS-OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM-beloved son,brother and friend" just hurts me. I stopped by today but I just started to cry and left,will it ever be better? |

I've gone to town to hang out with my aunt and stuff but that doesn't really count. I thought I would spent the break hanging out with my friends, but all of my friend s are on vacations. so I've just been sitting home alone while my mom is at work watching tv and eating. I feel like such a loser. when I go on Instagram I see all of the people from my hs being together and having a good time.
