We talked a lot. I am a college student, and we were just getting going near finals week. She tried to call me a lot, when I had projects and studying to do. I never ignored her calls, but they sometimes dropped and I wasn't always super-talkative, being busy and all. We had been out together several times. I had been to her place to hang out. Things seemed to be going pretty well. She was set to move to a new Uni, because this one sucks. It was 4 hours away, which bummed me out a bit. I joked about it twice, but tried not to make a big deal about it. She has a medical condition, which one day had flared-up, so she stayed home in bed all day. I thought, being the nice guy I am, and wanting to see her, I would bring her some things that night to help her feel better. She accepted, and I came over. We talked about various things, and her move came up. I am not one to worry about the future too much, usually, but I was interested in how she would handle the move. She was working 4 jobs at the time to get through school without debt. I asked her, since the new school is almost definitely more expensive, if she was going to replace the two local jobs. She answered "no," she would have plenty of hours between the other two jobs. I left it at that and did not pry further. There was no tone I could tell in her or my voices. I thought all was normal. Over the coming weeks though, I received significantly less texts, no calls, and she was busy on 3 dates I set-up. We worked together, and our talks in person seemed normal. I knew she was busy though, so I understood (4 jobs, finals, and moving; Holy Hell!). I assumed it would all normalize after the move. I texted her once in three days after the move with no response. One night, I was out drinking with friends, had a little much, and texted her again. It was a reasonable text, "hey, how is it going? Wanted to hear from you;" no response for hours (but a read receipt). So I got a little angry, as drunks tend to do, and sent her "You know, cutting off communications is a really juvenile way to break-up." |

I told him to lay off about a year ago and he ignored me and they've been dating ever since. I KNOW that the "girl" likes me- and wants to go out with me. But, she is having a hard time breaking up with him. Not only that, but I know her family really well, and her mom (her parents are divorced) said that if she were to leave the guy she's with now, and date me that she would be really upset and ground her. Is it just me or am I over reacting. I'm told A LOT: and also by her- that I'm a nice, well behaved kid. I don't want her to have to be punished by her mother, and I don't want her to think I'm a cheater/ trader. If it's any consolation, my best friend (the guy) has been being a real jerk. He tells other people that he thinks that they aren't really a thing because she seems happier around me In general- and a lot of people thought she was cheating on him with me!!! I would NEVER do that under any circumstance. But that's the thing: I don't know why her mom and her boyfriend is upset with her. Even if we were to date I mean we wouldn't make it "public" for a couple of months- bare minimum! She is happier with me in the long run. I'm a sophomore in college, and there's a girl in a few of my classes (I see her everyday). Anyways, as I got to know her, I developed feelings for her. She's incredibly physically attractive (like at least a 9/10), very intelligent, shares my passion for science, and is extremely friendly to me. We would hang out almost everyday and do study sessions together, and things were getting off to a great start. However, I thought her friendliness was a form of flirtation, but I ended up being wrong... Just a few days ago, I told her that I like her. She said that she's "so sorry" and that she has a boyfriend already. That completely blindsided me, and I was crushed (why didn't she ever mention her boyfriend in the entire month we've been talking?!). Now I feel incredibly awkward around her. We had chemistry lab together today (we're lab partners). She just acted like nothing happened, and that I never confessed my feelings to her. I just can't think like that. I still like her, even though I know it's futile, since she has a boyfriend. I fear I may be in the dreaded "friend zone." Part of me wants to never see her again, but another part of me still really likes her. In other words, my brain is a limbic soup. What should I do? |

Posted: 29 Sep 2015 07:10 PM PDT I'll try to summarize as much as possible: there's an older guy at work (could be considered a dilf although he has no kids) that's a little notorious for being a flirt. He started flirting with me and I saw it as harmless, but it seems that over time his attraction for me has grown. He works in the department across from me, but I'm the only girl in the department he seemed to take interest in. I've caught him staring at me multiple times. He's switched what direction he was walking in just to talk to me once. He got super red when I came in outside of my uniform and saw him unexpectedly. He even casually asked me how old I was in a convo once. Yet with all of these signs, he has days where he basically acts like I don't exists. I do get extremely nervous around him out of attraction so although I'm trying to be friendly with him I probably come off as a little stand off ish out of nerves. It seems like he's interested in me but then he acts aloof some days, acting like I don't exist, won't even make eye contact with me...It's frustrating. I'm worried he overheard me talking to my co-workers about him, because apparently he's acted weird around them, too. We don't see each other often and when we do, it's us passing each other in the hallway. He stares at me a lot. One day I was sitting in my car (near the building door) and he parked at the end of the parking lot (away from the door). He watched me the entire time he walked from the car to the building to go in the door. One day we happened to be in the same department. He was dropping some things off to the department I was in and naturally when you hear a door open you look to see who it is. So I turned and looked at him and we locked eyes for what seemed like eternity. We have locked eyes on other ocassions as well. One day I was walking down the hall and he was coming out of the warehouse and he spoke. He followed me down the hall and I entered my department through the back door and he came to drop some things off but he went to the front door and knocked. I ended up opening the door for him and I was like "why you didn't tell me you was coming in here" (because he could have just come through the back door with me) and he was like "yea you right I could have just followed you in here". I assumed he didn't tell me in the hall because he was shy. I'm a hard person to approach. Sometimes when we see each other in the hall he'll joke around with me and he'll hit me on my arm. This year his in my class and still stares in fact he would constantly get up from his seat to talk to the teacher and I'm close to the teacher and he would do this everyday and while walking to his seat.. He didn't do it today and he didn't look at me today. In the beginning smiled at me and we changed seats he still stared. Later he stood outside my other class and stared he did that two times and now he just sopped. His never talked to me. |

Everytime I start talking to a guy and he tries to get out of the friend zone I have to stop him because of my mom. She got pregnant when she was 13, do u think that's why I can't date? How can I convince her? And everytime me and my older sister talks about me having a boyfriend for me, she starts yelling. And it worked out pretty well!!! 😊 From now on when I pass him I ll give him a sweet "hello" hi" or "hey" So that someday I ll give him my number... And then I ll go from there! We both take piano from the same teacher, so when I m going in from my lesson I ll pass him and say hi. After I give him my number and we text, (of he answers) and at our Feb. recital, I ll tell him how I feel.. (And I think it will be the perfect time because it ll be around Valentines Day) And then he ll give me his response. Is that a good plan? Do you think it will work? Before I liked him, when we were eating after a recital, he was sitting with his family and he was looking at across from me we were a parallel line from each other.. I noticed and looked at him (like whhy are you staring at me?) And then he looked away.. We ve locked eyes more than once. I m seeing him again on Thurs. which is in two days!!!!!! I think about him allll week and can t wait till the next lesson. I know quite a bit about him (mostly bc of Instagram) He plays golf, (I play soccer and those two COMPLETELY different sports lol), he has a dog named Jack, has a twin sister, has glasses, (which, I think are attractive on guys XD) and more stuff. | Question: How to talk to girls? Posted: 29 Sep 2015 07:01 PM PDT I don't consider myself bad looking, I would say a 5/10 or 6/10. I don't have much acne if any at all. I am not overweight. I'm a tall skinny muscular guy. My problem is I'm afraid of being rejected. I have never been rejected but only because I haven't tried dating a girl since the 7th grade and I'm now a Junior in high school. My friends talk sh*t all the time saying I get no b*tches. I'm really shy and don't know how to actually keep a conversation going for more than like 3 minutes unless its someone I'm comfortable around. How should I go about getting a gf? I don't want to be the laughing stock of the school because I couldn't live with myself if I actually got rejected really bad. |

We talked and he's really funny and nice, and I also think he's kinda cute ^~^ well we found out that we both go to the same high school and I don't have any classes with him but whenever I see him in the halls he always smiles or nods at me to say hi. I always smile back and idk I just really want to know him more, because I'm interested. I tend to see him after school because we both play sports at our high school and practices finish around the same time. How can I start talking to him casually? How can I strike up a conversation?
