I tried to talk to her and said hey are you recruiting people for chess club and she yelled i will punch you in the face even though she looked like she was being nice to her other friends. After school we had a good time together. Its weird because she can be really mean and a jerk but then she will be ok when we see each other by the end of the day |

I had plenty of friends from elementary to the beginning of Middle School. In the 7th Grade I move to a small town in Arizona. Everyone wanted to be my friend because I moved from Las Vegas. But I was a VERY quiet student, so I lost most of them because I was boring. Once I got to the 10th grade, I had a little bit of friends and i was also VERY quiet. I had extreme anxiety out of no we're, and couldn't be around people, and had to take medication. The medication only helped against the anxiety, but I was still quiet. Once 11th grade rolled around, I moved back to Las Vegas (same area of were I used to live, so I recognize some students from elementary). I turned even more quiet. Now I literally have not 1 friend. I cannot talk to people AT ALL. I am too shy to do that. I'm in the 12th grade and with graduation an all I feel worthless. I try to get courage to talk to people but I can't. At lunch, I just go to the library and use my cell phone. I am starting to hate my life and need help making friends. I like this girl from my church who goes to a different school and she likes me back, but when she realizes I have not 1 friend she won't like me anymore. Please help me! Thank you! |

We have this "inside joke" where I tell her I left something at her house and how I have to come over to get it. This doubles as an excuse for us to hang out apart from the fact that I get my stuff back. I want to incorporate our joke in the card by saying something like: "I left my social acceptance at your house so I guess I'll just have to come over to get it" But instead of social acceptance there is a synonym I would like to replace it with that I can't think of. I probably look weird because I'm extremely skinny and I have a mouth guard so I cant really close my mouth all the way (im getting it out in January thank goodness). But I'm not mean. I invited two of them round my house, let's give them the nicknames Hanna and Rory(a boy). So at the last minute Hanna revealed she couldn't come after all, so it was it just me and Rory. We were both finds with this. Our other friend, let's say Alex, asked me to wait with her for Hanna. I said I couldn't because Rory was coming over. She then began squealing like a pig. She freaked out and began making a bunch of suggestions about us, and told a couple of friendly acquaintances too and they joined in. Soon a bunch of my friends were teasing me, thankfully not the rest of our friend group though. Rory appeared and they began yelling "Your boyfriend's here!" Rory instantly got annoyed with her but was still willing to come over. We lost Alex when she went a different way. But we were walking behind three girls I knew who instantly spotted I was walking with a boy. So of course they started too. They began to wolf whistle. We tried to ignore them and overtake them but they carried on. We were talking, but they were singing love songs behind us and the only release we got was and when they were planning the next song. We got to my house and had a great time. My mum liked him and he's a great friend. I want to invite him over again, but I don't want to have to deal with that, and I don't want to tell on Alex although I might have to. Sorry for text chunk. We're juniors in high school and she became a brat around the 8th grade but I'd say it's much worse now. She's still concerned about "popularity" and I admit it, she is popular but I'm not. I'm actually almost one of the "outcasts" because I used to be really quiet and that label stuck. I don't care though because popularity is so immature and it's so middle school. Anyways, my friend is embarrassed by me and tells other people we aren't really friends. She wears way too much makeup and dresses like school is a fashion show or a beauty pageant. She's very narcissistic and said, "The people you sit with at lunch define who you are." That is so immature. Your friends don't define who you are. She doesn't let me sit with my other friends because she claims I'll look like a loser if I do, because they're not popular. She says I can't sit with them, which is plain stupid. I invited her to sit with us and she said no way. She talks behind my back all the time about how weird I apparently am and no offense but she's sort of dumb too. Basically I guess you can say she's like a typical mean girl. It's so annoying... And when her popular friends come, she completely ignores me and ALWAYS tells me what to do, like "Here, hold this!" "Do this!" etc. I am so tired of it. She complains about EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, like how people are so weird and not cool and how I need to stop acting like an outcast. She's embarrassed by sooo many things, running to class, wearing certain outfits which aren't even that weird, walking a certain way, talking too loudly, etc. If I say something too loudly around her she tells me to be quiet because people will look at us. She is obsessed with rap, I don't know why, and I like One Direction and apparently according to her if you like One Direction you're a total outcast so I was talking about them and she yelled at me to "SHUT UP" and everyone stared at us... I'm comfortable talking in front of groups of people if I'm asked a question, but I don't know how to approach people and keep a conversation going. I m a straight A-student, and I seem to get along through life just fine. I just have one problem; I can t seem to make good friends, and I know there are good reasons for that. Last December, I moved to this new school to escape bullying and a lack of advanced classes. It started out well. People were interested in talking to me for about a week, and now, very few people will talk to me. I have "friends", but to be honest, they all drive me crazy. They re nice to me, but there are just some things that seriously bother me about them. I admit to being incredibly picky, but it s all been getting to me so much that I notice some things seriously wrong about the ways I act now. For about half of the day every day, I get in a horrible mood and tend to try to push everyone away. I even get rude about it unintentionally, and I really want to stop. What I really want are real friends, or to be left alone if I can t have the first thing, but it seems impossible where I m at right now. I think I d like to try moving to a bigger school once I can drive, but I don t know how much of a difference that would make. For right now, I just want to focus on fixing myself so I m ready for if I move again. If you have any tricks, please let me know. (I will not accept answers that include doing anything by religious means, or "getting out there and socializing". I m just not really that kind of person.) |

I started noticing this guy (mid to late thirties) around mid spring when I would go to stand at the bus stop at a certain time with my mom. He would always appear ten minutes after I would leave my complex. During the first few times he would stare at me, would refuse to stand at the same bus stop, walk down the street a little but would run to the bus when it would come. Then it got weirder about a month later. I recall waiting for the bus to pull up and saw him leering at me from the corner of my eye. Then he got off and went about his business. Once I had got on the bus and had to stand in front of him because it was crowded. He leered at me in this creepy way for the entire ride (twenty minutes !!) When I finally got off the bus with my mom he followed extremely too close behind us for thirty second and I felt his eyes burning a hole into me. Then he walked up more and leered at me before walking to his apartment. The last time I encountered him he had appeared ten minutes after I left my complex with my mom. He literally stood across the street and leered at me for like twenty seconds (made my skin crawl) and then walked across and went to a nearby store. |

The only party I went to was freshman year and that was because it was across the street and they didnt know about it because I told them I was playing bball at my friends. I've started doing that recently after I met some new friends and got really close to them but I can only really say how I'm feeling when I'm like texting her or something and recently she asked me why I only talked about how I feel on text and never in person and that got me thinking about why I do it and I'm not that sure. | Posted: 18 Sep 2015 12:03 PM PDT I'm 19 years old, i've been stuck in my house for the past year and a half, i tried getting a job a couple times but i can't seen to be able to, leaving the house is really scary for me, sometimes i just can't do it. All the friends i had were from my school and slowly i started to lose touch with all of them, even if i do try and contact them it's useless since ultimately i don't have anything to say, nothing happens. We would just have those 6 line conversations that people usually have when they don't want to ignore you but don't really want to talk to you either. I'm really insecure about myself, from my appearence to the way i talk and walk, multiple times i have heard people saying things like i'm ugly or even "disgusting" a couple times, sometimes they did it to my face, perhaps because my reaction would be amusing or something and on other occasions i would just happen to over-hear it, it really gets to you. I really love being told a story, be it from movies, series or anime, i'm particularly fond of love stories, even though sometimes i feel like being told these kinds of stories isn't doing much for my mental health. I have a perfectly good apartment a loving mother and father. Don't get me wrong though, i know exactly what the way out is, or what i'm supposed to do to change my current situation, it's just all the more pathetic since i can't bring myself to do it. Is anyone on a similar situtation? |

Posted: 18 Sep 2015 11:49 AM PDT So me and my friend were in the auditorium at our school and being me i was staring at everyones hair because i don't want lice again xD. But i noticed my friend had a bug in her hair. At first i thought "Maybe its just a fruit fly or something" then she turned to talk to me and i saw another on her bangs and more on the back. I had a panic attack because My phobia (Parasiteophobia ithink it's called which is a fear of parasites). I don't think she knows she has lice but they are all over her head. Should i tell her I really didn't want to embarrass her in school so i didnt tell her. But now i don't want her to be embarrassed that i know..Should i tell her ;-; |

Her ex was there too and he kept bothering her and poking her so a few minutes into the movie she grabs my hand and holds it to her chest and then up to her face. Then later she told me she was having a panic attack. So I was wondering if anyone else likes to be touched or have their hand held during a panic attack. |
| Question: Sleepover for Birthday? Posted: 18 Sep 2015 11:38 AM PDT My birthday party is in a week or two (15t birthday) and I can't do anything. I want a slumber party but I don't want them to see my house. (I am kinda poor and my mom is a jerk towards my friends.) Even if I want something else the ages and the interests are very different. I want something with movies, books, anime/manga, Disney/Dreamworks. The age is between 11-16 year olds. My mother does not want to pay cinema trips or something like that. I have to pay the party, the snacks everything. (As usual.) |
| Posted: 18 Sep 2015 11:28 AM PDT She's almost 30 and still doesn't have a license. Last night she texted me asking to take her to the grocery store. I asked her why and she said she wanted to buy steak to cook for her boyfriend. This is constant and if I tell her I can't go somewhere she'll start questioning me as to why I can't go. She never offers gas money and I feel like she's taking advantage of me for rides! I know she's not using me because she's a true friend. But she's starting to take advantage A LOT |
| Question: How can I tell if my friends are good for me? Posted: 18 Sep 2015 11:21 AM PDT I've known them for YEARS and we've been through all the ups and downs of growing up together. Lately, a lot of them have become what one might call "emotionally unstable" due to life circumstances/decisions,etc. Instead of turning to each other for support like before, it seems they internalize a lot and end up lashing out. One on one they're great, but lately as a group, the get-togethers are filled with off-colored "jokes", which are really just thinly-veiled insults, passive aggressiveness, and just a whole lot of underlying tension. I almost get nervous before getting all together and have to brace myself to try and not get caught in the fray. Bad vibes for sure! But I feel like overall they're good friends, and they're just maybe going through stuff right now or partaking in certain things I don't agree with. At what point do I scale back from them/cut sling load? |

I tried to be friends with some super nice girls at my table in class. They seem to like me and then they ditch me for my ex friend. So I tried to be friends with other people. I am super nice and make sure to be extra friendly and I don t look like I m trying to hard. Nobody wants to be my friend I am very sad because this is my first year at middle school and I am skeptical of the whole idea... What do I do is there any hope for me??? Thank you. |
| Question: No motivation to graduate.? Posted: 18 Sep 2015 10:43 AM PDT OK so basically senior year just started everything was going perfect for the first ten days. I had friends in all of my classes but 4th period which was good because I was a loner in 10th grade which made me feel insecure and best friend in my third period which was pre calc. On the 11th day my pre clac teacher(third period) came and voiced his concerns about me not doing so well in his class and was upset that I did the work differently then how he taught it. Which was because I looked it up on YouTube because I didn't understand his way. He basically got me switched out of that class today and into a completely new one three weeks in. I don't know anyone here I have no classes with my bestfriend anymore. I don't have anyone to sit at with lunch anymore so I basically just look like a complete loner. I tried to take a nap today which was my first day of this third period class but I can't even do that my new teacher emailed my consuler and I got sent to the nain office and got in trouble for sleeping in class.I also wanted to be a docter when I got older but found out it needed pre calc and other maths which I'm bad at. I really have no motivation to go to school. None to do work. I feel like an idiot for my teacher switching me out. I don't know if I can even be mad at him ultimately he was trying to help me. Idk I just want to go home and never come back I hate my life right now. |
| Question: Do my parents hate Kelly? Posted: 18 Sep 2015 10:36 AM PDT Kelly is my best friend, and I talk about her a lot. One time my grandma was like 'why do you talk about her all the time?' and I said 'Because she's my best friend' and she said 'Well I never talk about my best friend' and that made me a little confused. A few weeks ago Mom Dad and me went to a store and I brought up Kelly again and then Dad said 'I'm tired of hearing about Kelly' and my mom said 'Yeah you should have heard her the other day' and then my mom said 'I think you've got a girl crush' and my dad said 'I don't want to hear about that either!' And I have another friend who has been around for a while, her name is Sara, and since my stepmom (I've referred to her as mom in this description) is named Sarah we call her S2. My parents always say 'Hey why not invite S2 over?' or something like that, they say stuff like that all the time, but hardly anything about Kelly. I'm just starting to get a little upset because my dad even said he thinks I'm closer to Sara. Does it seem like my parents don't like Kelly or don't want to hear about her? I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, I am 14 if that makes a difference. Can someone please just give me a real answer? :( |
| Question: My friend hurt herself. Why to do? Posted: 18 Sep 2015 10:18 AM PDT A few times Ive seen a scratch on her hands and asked her what it was she jut said she loved to play with scissors. Today at school however she had 3 big scratches on her hand and said she done it with a sharpener in class cause someone called her fat. I know she doesn t have it anywhere else because I can t see any. It s not very serious just a few scratches but I m worried she will start to do more. I blame herself for causing her harm and it s not my problem wht she does with her body. Maybe it s just a onetime thing but what should I do if it isn t???? |
| Posted: 18 Sep 2015 10:13 AM PDT I'm really shy.I've been trying to make my shyness go away and it is partially gone.But even with my current situtation I'm still very shy.I don't like it.I can't start a conversation thinking the people in front of me will judge me even I know they won't.I can't do what I want in front of people.I can't start a friendship without someone comes and talks to me first.I have fewer friends because of that.Thats pretty annoying.I want to become less shy.But when I force myself to do something about it,I don't do that second time.So it doesn't become better fully. Some of my friends says that I'm at least aware of it and trying to change it but that is not enough I think.I must do something before I get friendless eventually. |

I met her at work and it turns out soon after I met her like 5 months she was engaged and 6 months after that she got married. So she had been dating the guy for a year up to that point, so I didnt really have a chance. But you see I knew she was the one for me and I my life went on, but I waited for her. turns out things didnt work out with him and they ended up divorcing. but I waited 10 years not knowing what the future would hold, but not one woman even came close to her she was and is so beautiful. Does this make me a loser or what that I waited so long for her? |
