Throughout our entire relationship, he has never been physically abusive. Yesterday, we got into a really bad argument. I was already crying and emotions were running pretty high, especially since we're in relationship counseling because I found out he was sexting his ex 7 months ago. The argument about that continued and I tried to snatch his phone from his hand. A few moments later, he has me in a restraint that he learned in the police academy. When the tussling started, I thought he was going to just start beating me, but he had me pinned against the recliner and said he wouldn't let up until I calmed down. He's never done this before and I thought it was a bit of an overreaction. I'm just shocked and trying to figure out if that can be considered abusive. I don't really know how to feel. |
