My child is spoiled and the reason I know this is because nothing is ever enough for the kid! He's not my biological son but I'm the only mother figure in his life so he's attached to me as if I were his biological mother. It's getting extremely irritating because when I dedicate my whole day to him, he still gives me the whole "I'm sad" spiel because I didn't do MORE. One time, he threw a tantrum. We had played together all day. I took him to my favorite park as a kid. I got us a meal at a restaurant. and this is all after I came from an 8 hour work day. We had ice cream at home. Then, when I tell him to take a bath, he starts screaming and yelling because he didn't get to play minecraft?! I obviously put my foot down and got angry and put him in his place but this one instance obviously hasn't stopped him from complaining about wanting more. Another instance is when he came back from his grandpa's house and he had a sad face again. I asked what was wrong and he said,"Grandpa barely let me play. I only played for 5 hours." 5 hours is a lot!! How do I teach him to be thankful for what he has and gets?! How do I end this complaining?

My mum is in a caring/nursing home as she is dying of terminal cancer that has spread to her brain. It is so heartbreaking, she's been there for almost 6 months now and she just literally isn't the same person anymore, we've lost her. Anyways my dad revealed to me the other night that he has been on a few dates with this woman that he met online and I feel sick to my stomach. I don't want to meet her EVER but he wants me to. I understand that he is lonely etc and will want to meet someone eventually but I feel like it's still too soon. He says it's cos he knows that my Mum is never going to get better that's why he wants to find someone asap because he hates being lonely and he's sick of grieving.

My mom doesn't like squishes. She hates the smell of them. She thinks that they have tons of chemicals and are dangerous. I have a few. When I first ordered them my mom wanted to give a few away. Hi, I'm 12 and my dad owns a billing company. He says that he hasn't been paying the bills on time, there's $8000 on 3 credit cards that he needs to pay off, and I'm pretty sure his business is about to shut down in a couple of months. He says he has lost 7 accounts and only has two left and we might move in 3 months. My dad doesn't even live in the house though. My parents are in the middle of a divorce and fighting for custody. My dad wants to stop going to court but my stubborn mother refuses. My dad used to be able to pay the bills before having to pay for a lawyer. I'm extremely scared we'll end up moving and my dad will lose his job. He did say though he is currently looking for a new job before he loses his current one which makes me happy. I want my mom to request to the judge to stop the trial I guess so my parents could just work it out between themselves. My dad did say though that court may be ending soon but he really has no idea. Just so you know, my mom is the "bad guy". She cheated on my dad, used him for his money, and is using a lawyer that she can't even afford. I don't know what to do and I just want all of this to end. She might have taken care of us but she certainly did not take care of my dad. He has health issues because of all the stress she put on him. She is selfish. I have seen her do that. My 8 year old daughter dosent like going outside. Im not sure if its because the girls are mean to her or because she is shy but she wont tell me. I just wish she would give me some space and go find herself a life outside of me. Would I be wrong if i made her go out and play?

I am 13 yrs. old and i live 20 min. away from all my friends and stores but i don't know how to get to town without a car or having my parents drive me. What do you recommend. Should I try to convince my parents to let me bike all the way to town on my own? Or should I try to work out a way for my parents to drop me off in town with my bike.

Grandfather died last year. Didn't feel a thing, kind of just accepted the fact that he's no longer with us. I didn't even shed a tear. Is that wrong? Our relationship wasn't the closest and we only saw each other like twice a year, sometimes even less than that, but I still feel bad. Especially bad because I didn't attend his funeral. Simply told my mom I wouldn't go because I had school, didn't think of it twice, didn't think it'd be rude and disrespectful. Really regret not going. The worst thing is that my best friend's mom died a few days ago and I'm going to her funeral, because I want to be there for my buddy and show respect to their family. Why didn't I show such respect to my OWN family? I feel like such a bad person, wish I could just turn back time. I m a kid, and its important that I make $2000 in 6 weeks because I ve been invited to a law convention in Washington DC, but my mom won t pay for plane tickets, etc. I d like to get a job this summer to afford it, but my mom won t let me do that either because she d rather have me spend all day every day doing chores for her for no money at all and she has me signed up for so many dang church activities for her religion, one I ve made clear to her isn t my religion, and no employer will work with my crazy schedule. Any ideas on how to make that kind of money without getting a job? I could try doing a lemonade stand, but I doubt I ll make much that way.

My ex mother in law Pam called and asked to come see me. She said she needed some help. I liked her a lot when I was married to her daughter Shirley so I said sure, come by any time. Pam told me she was on the layoff list where she worked and she wanted my help updating her resume. We worked on her resume one afternoon. I used my business contacts to get her 2 interviews from business associates that I thought might have an job opening for her skills and experience. She got 2 job offers and accepted one. However everyone was not happy with the outcome. I got an email from my ex Shirley telling me that I should not be helping Pam as I was not family anymore and it made her and her new husband look bad because Pam did not think Shirley and her husband could help Pam. She ask me not to help her mom again. I replied to Shirley and acknowledged I was not family BUT Pam was my friend and when a friend ask for my help, I help them when I can. My sister (22) is dating a guy (32), he looks 14 at best, bummy looking, college drop out apparently. When my parents first met him he took a shower in our house and did his laundry before they got home. He now keeps a bottle of laundry detergent in our house. Recently he moved to a sober house in our town to be closer to us. But he isn't one of "them" my sis says. His rent is 500 and the food is free but he isn't allowed guests he told us. He has the audacity to have loud sex in our home we all share, so I had to eventually talk to my SISTER about how inappropriate/disrespectful that was -we share a wall -and my parents were home! So I'm a senior in high school and today my mom went to pick up my grades at school and the teacher told her to go up to pick up the last grades she'll ever pick again and those words really hit her deep. My sister moved out late last year cause she got married and the house felt kind of empty and at first my mom was kinda depressed cause she missed her but now she's getting over it and she's more energetic and more herself. I have a laptop for school (we have a desktop but I'm basically not allowed to use it cuz Mom's always on it in the evenings). It's almost dying, the internet goes out at random times, it takes 5min to load a program, the USB outlets don't work, and you have to jiggle the power cord to charge it. They've said for months that they'll get me a new one. We even picked out one! The trouble is they just won't order it. Every time I ask they say "we'll do it tomorrow." I'm 23 and at school. I moved in for summer the other day. I got scared about my mom getting mad about me going out. I haven't lost my keys in years. I went out the other night and took out my keys when I was drunk solely because I got worried about my mom getting mad (I never do this). I also always go out at school. I'M DONE WITH COLLEGE IN DECEMBER she took my phone, would not let me in the house in the morning i stayed out later to prove a point that she is being ridiculous, when my friends heard her on the phone they said it was the craziest thing they ever heard and she would call child protective services I went out on my own money, I think my mom thinks because I live in the house she can be inflexible. I'm a 20 years old guy on the autism spectrum and suffer from psychotic depression. My parents are getting divorced and I'm reacting like a young child instead of an adult. My mother is an evil person, she was way too strict with me as a child and I didn't develop socially as a result, then a few months ago she started allowing me to eat only one meal a day (I'm 5' 10" and 180 lbs, with big bones and the doctor said I was fine, but she called me fat constantly) and it took a huge toll on my body. She announced a few months after starting to restrict my eating that her and my father are getting divorced, I later found out that she stole 45k from him before she kicked me and him out, while keeping my brother with her. I hide in my room in the apartment I live in with my father pretty much constantly except to go to work and school, because my father is always drinking when he's not at work and he likes to verbally attack me over anything he can. He says I act like a young child instead of an adult, because I'm upset over their divorce. I feel like I have no one. My girlfriend hates me, as does my entire family. Should I not be upset that my parents are getting divorced because I'm 20 years old? I honestly hate myself because of them.

I was at home walking to my bedroom, when I saw my 7-year-old son in the hallway peeking into his older brother's bedroom door. My girlfriend is moving about 4 hours from me.. We been having some issues for a while, and I don't know what to do. Before my baby turned 1 month old we found out my boyfriend's mom was smoking cocaine on a cigg in the bathroom. But this time we have a baby and finding out she was getting high in the same house as my baby makes me upset. I don't know what to do. My brother has always been physically affectionate with my mom and continues to kiss her on the lips to this day (he's 21 now) - myself and my other brother stopped in middle school at the latest. He constantly comes to the house for lunch and on his days off, but only if my dad isn't there and usually early in the morning when I'm still asleep. I take Thai Kwon Do, and one time I stayed after class with my buddies to practice our moves. During that time, our Asian instructor fell asleep on the couch in the lounge and started sleeptalking, and he said I would have to kill my father. Now, my father is a piece of sh!t who leaves me home alone for weeks on end so he and his mother can go to Vegas, but he's not exactly dangerous. I don't know if I should go through with this now, or if my instructor was referring to sometime in the future, where I'd have to put my dad out of his misery, or something. Im dating a muslim boyfriend. He also lives with 4 other muslim guys. Right now they are in ramadan and since he doesnt drink or eat he doesnt offer me a drink after i walk in the sun to his house. Since I started school my parents made the decision to split up. Ever since I realised they did I was crying so badly and I still am sad now because of it. I miss my dad as much as I miss school holidays. I have even told communities like the Kids Helpline about it and I forgot their tips, but I know they wont work. My Dad is bipolar, which obviously means he was abusive toward me growing up. People with bipolar are not capable of raising children. Child services should have to be involved anytime a bipolar person has a kid. My Dad slapped me around, banged me into walls, and pulled my hair. He is not a man. He is a monster. First of all, I'm 15, my name's Skylar, and I have a twin sister named Paige. Although we're genetically identical, personality wise, we couldn't be more different. I play trumpet in my school's marching band, and Paige is a cheerleader. I've never even kissed a boy, and Paige hooks up with at least 6 guys every month. This is so unfair, and I have no idea how to change their minds. I've tried talking reasonably to them, but they won't listen. I can't keep living like this... In order to meet another person, I have go into a neighboring state of my own. However, doing this can only really be accomplished by driving 50 or so minutes and cross a large toll bridge. I am in high school and currently take my parents car out for large portions of the day already, and also have access to an e-z pass. However, I almost always stay within 20 or so minutes of my home and if not I'd tell my parents. The only issue is that I do not wish to tell my parents that I'm going to be going to drive almost an hour into another state and spent a decent part of the day there. It may sound sound bad but I'm so close to putting her stuff out and changing my locks and letting her live on the streets. It has been one problem after another. I was going to let her stay with my for about a year or two to get her life on track. She refuses to work,go to school, or at least clean up behind herself. She has repeatedly accused me of sleeping with her boyfriend the day she snuck him into my home while I was asleep. She has ran to the store and that day I got off early because I was sick. I walked in the door to see him sitting on my new white couch completely naked. Everyday I come home to have to cook and clean with her arguing with me everyday. She's about to turn 18 in less than a week and I'm planning on kicking her out (just in case you were wondering she lived with my aunt but she was too much for her so she came here). I can't deal with this anymore. What should I do?

So my dad is an asshole and he's always been an asshole. He yells and complains all the time and he throws and breaks **** constantly. He also use to hit us (4 children and wife) when we were younger (not beat but hit for stupid reasons. There's an issue. however, a few years ago my dad had a brain tumor surgically removed from his brain. He is now mentally disabled. It is possible that my mom is he permanent "caretaker" (I'm not sure if there is a better term). Can we remove him from our family legally? I think it is also possible my parents are already divorced but have to wait until my youngest brother is 18 years old. I'm not sure it matters due to the fact that no one wants him here. I'm not sure how this would even work. Anyone have any advice? He gets angry about everything. Seriously, today I think he was trying to hit my older sister's cat. So I addressed it to him, but he tried to change the conversation, but I persisted and then he got upset and began to break everything. I can only imagine how many more of these events will happen: when my older sister, younger sister, and I tell him we are atheist;. when I tell him I'm bisexual; tell him I'm aromantic.

My Dad sends me no child support, no affection for my Mom after she left him, and never visits on my birthday (I see him twice a year at my Granny's only). So what do I get this deadbeat Dad for Father's Day? I am 16 and can't wait until I am 18 and can tell him to go **** himself and never speak to him again.

Trying to stay under $50

I saw his wife's nephew who recognized my name and came up to say hi. He said if I was comfortable he'd tell my Dad where I am and I told him not now but I would consider it at a later time. He was apologetic thinking he may have made me uncomfortable and I told him not to worry. My Dad is an alcoholic and his wife's nephew said he still is. However, he is not a mean drunk, just one of those "I love you man" types. He had a bad childhood and I kind of gave him the cold shoulder after my parents divorce since I felt he picked alcohol over us. Now I am 31 and older. However, the nephew said he likely will not admit to being an alcoholic. I have been waiting and waiting for him to acknowledge me and he has not. I last spoke to him in 2002 so 15 years ago. That was when his father, my grandfather, died and he called to tell me. I sent a card and my mother called in flowers in my name for the funeral since I lived too far away to go and that was the last communication. So I know no one here can tell me what to do but curious what to do. The nephew said he won't say anything to him unless I ask him to and the nephew knew me as a kid.

Long story short. I'm 20 and I have this cousin who's a sociopath(danger to society). She's living aty dad's house and I had to move out bc of her. My dad wasn't defending me. So every time I'd visit. I'd see her stare at me out if the corner of my eye. She listens to all my convos with my dad (she's an ear hustler). Whenever I talk to her dad she huffs and puffs (she's very possessive of him; doesn't have friends really). However, at family gatherings she'll start talking to people near me and when I move she'll eventually go to where I moved and talk to nearby people. She'll even go out of her way to say hi to people I just met at family gatherings-while I'm talking to them. She tells her niece bad things about me and be mean to her if she talks to me. She'll see me get along with certain people and she'll try to befriend them so they won't talk to me.

I'm a 15 year old freshman. I have all A's and B's but one C, and my parents are flipping out. They have very high expectations, and I have ADHD and can never focus in class. I am quite a smart kid but I am very lazy, and have gotten better grades in the past.I keep on slacking off and not doing homework. I ace every test, but I just don't do very much homework, where most of the points are. I have an Xbox One, and I play it a lot. I only play with my friends, and I mainly bought it to be with my friends. My parents say the Xbox is the root of all my problems. It is a day before finals, and they say if i still have the C by the time final grades go up, then they are throwing my Xbox in the trash. I bought it with my own money, and I am worried about both my grades, my Xbox, and my communication with friends over the summer. I have told my parents i can improve on my own many times over, but I can never seem to do it and I get sidetracked easily. Any tips on what I could do to improve my bad work habits, like good study habits and strategies? Also, anything I could do to maybe get my parents to chill the heck out and maybe lower the punishment would help!:)

So I've been living with my stepdad since I was 6 or 7 and now I'm 19 . My mom and stepdad started dating when I was like 5 but started to live together when I turned 7. My stepdad he was okay at one point before we started living with him. I also have a younger brother who is two years younger then me , but the real point is my stepdad yes he's helped my mom financially and at one point my mom had a job and provided the money she needed to pay bills but also my biological dad voluntarily gave us money and I guess we all know what happens when couple break up. So my stepdad although he's helped us financially he never really tried to gain our respect. We were little kids when we met him but he basically only wanted my mom to give him all the attention.he always acted like a douche thinking that he never had to give us respect but he expects respect from us, I guess in a way he thought we would never grow up and we would stay little. Now I basically can't stand him he acts like he has servants around the house, he works in landscaping but he can't expect everything in his hands . I bet theres women who do more. I don't like him or stand him , I never had a conversation with him or talked about personal things with him.

My fiancé and I have been together for almost 7 years. We were 16 and 17 when we got together and we were on and off for about a year when I was 17. His mom and I got along fine until I got pregnant when I was 18. Our twins were born and she seemed to hate me. Our youngest was born a year later and she seemed like she wanted to work things out. I couldn t stand her for the way she talked down about me to him after the birth of our twins so I wouldn t go around her or talk to her. Then a few months ago I called her and told her that I wanted to talk and told her everything I felt about her and how I thought we could fix things. We ve been around each other more in the last few months than we have the whole time I ve known her. But now, I feel more and more like I need and want to talk to her about things. I want to tell her every detail about my life and I don t know why. I guess because I m starting to really trust her and value her opinions of me and what I want out of life. I texted her last night and asked if she would want to get together next week. She said that we could, but how do I tell her that I want her to be interested in my life? Or should I not? How do you talk to your mother in law? What kind of conversations do you have? What do you not talk about? Are there things mother in laws want to know? I want so badly for her to like me and I feel like I m trying way too hard.

She told me "you are a blessing in my life" why would she say that, she's usually not a compliment person. She's sweet to me but not much to others.

It started alright, after the first week the issues begun, a bulling father in-law, and the constant eyes of my mother in-law observing everything I told to my partner, she will always defend her son and will look at me badly if I spoke my mind. I feel like we hate each other and one month together was just way too much (this was the first time we meet since we live in different continents)

How do i get them to clean up after themselves? i've tried everything???? they disgust me. i'm never coming home for the summer ever again. i've been telling them for the last 4 year to clean up after themselves because a 19 year old should not have to pick up after some 40-50 year olds. I also clean the litterbox, do the dishes, sweep, vacuum, laundry, you name it. I'm also working on top of taking a summer class. i'm stressed and i'm sorry i went to yahoo answers to vent, i just need some help.

I had surgery this weekend and I just found out my grandma is in the hospital with a very bad virus that's contagious. I am worried that she may not make it. I'm not allowed to visit her since I am more vulnerable to getting the virus. I feel terrible and it's been on my mind since I found out. I'm worried that she may pass and I won't be able to say goodbye. We have a close relationship and she practically raised me. Am I horrible for not going? Should I risk going to the hospital?

I know I'm 18 & supposed to be an adult now, but I earned & paid for my own car by myself. I didn't ask for him to fix my car, my friend would have done it for free. Now he's making me pay him back the $350 before next week & I barely make enough money for myself. The car was fixed about two weeks ago & it's already having the same problem I'm in debt for right now. In so mad, but I can't even complain 😡

Okay so back then I put my money in a makeup case and I thought no one would look there and my money was half gone so I moved what I had left and put it under my bed next thing you know it was missing some money and then like I decided no ones gonna look in a tampon box yes I know gross but why would anyone go there I don't live with my mom and my sisters 11 she hasn't started yet well some money was missing so I moved my Money like last week behind my bed with all these blanket like suck in between there there was no way to see it and it was my blankets no one used and my money was there and everything and today I moved the blankets and my money is gone completely I had it in a box and the box is gone to so I might of miss placed it I looked in all my hiding spots can't find it what if someone's watching me and watched me move it there how do they know every time and what's happening to the money I'm scared and im also very paranoid so I feel like I'm being watch already what should I do I told my dad he said you might of miss counted your money I just now notice the box is gone I didn't tell him yet

So I am a 19 year old girl almost 20 in November. I live in a house with my mom , stepdad, and two brothers. I graduated high school in 2016 . I haven't attended college and I'm not planning to because I have no idea in what I want to major in. I've applied to different jobs in the past and haven't gotten any job call except at a frozen yogurt place last August but the manager already hired 3 people before me. I don't really have a license cause I don't have a working car plus I've asked people to let me borrow their car but their car either don't work or have insurance. Most of those people are just acquaintances. Most family live in New York and I live in Georgia. I feel stuck and I have nothing to do other than chores at home.I don't mind helping my mom out at home with dishes,cleaning the bathroom, doing the laundry, but my mom takes advantage of me plus she doesn't work and now my brothers are both home for vacation.

But the photos cost $20 per. They ve done this for years after I tell them not to buy them. It just gets to me that hundreds of wasted dollars are going to things that never see the light of day. So, I m asking what should I do to stop them and years from now when they re gone what do I do with them?

My mother found my diary entry I wrote when I was 15, now she says she wants revenge. In the diary entry I call her evil, and I say I am ashamed to have her as a mother. Now she is threatening to beat me so badly that it may cause permanent damage. What do I do?
