He has isolated her to where she will not do anything with friends without him and won t let her friends hang with him cause she s ashamed of him and calls him Cold so she just hangs with him and his friends. This has caused a fight without cause I was trying to spend time with her and she told me I made her uncomfortable asking and to avoid talking s out it went off to say she cares about me and we are friends but she wants to keep our friendship at work cause I m not someone he would approve of. So I tried understanding and letting it go knowing the situation cause I cared about our friendship but now the few minutes we get to talk at work she won t even say bye anymore because she s scared he will be mad if she s not out to meet him as soon as she gets off. He even has to meet her for lunch everyday so we can t talk then either. She told me before she s not happy with life anymore and very depressed since he quit his job three months ago but she feels trapped and keeps forgiving everything he does. I don t want to lose my friend but she won t text or spend anytime with me as long as she s with him but the few mins we pass at work. Six people into two full beds and a pull-out couch. Luckily, we re still middle-schoolers, but I have to share a bed with someone. And I m dreading it. I m not upset about sharing a bed - that s the least of my worries. My problem is I kick while I sleep. A lot. Here in Canada, they have tons of programs about social skills and stuff. This support worker/Chinese translator (cause my mom doesn't speak English) suggests programs that my mom can put me in. During parent teacher conferences, social skills and friendships are a big part of the conversation between my parents, teachers, and translators. It's just who I am! I've been this way since I was 3 years old! So why does she keep trying to change me into a more social person? If I argue and say that I don't need friends, she will go on and lecture WHY friends are important, how much experience I can get, etc. |

And besides, I'm asking for harmless revenge, not a break up with their loved ones. So afterschool, I take the bus. If I miss it, I'll have to walk for 30 minutes. My friend and I were walking when one of my other two friends opened my backpack and put cream in it. I noticed it so I checked to see and ALL OF MY STUFF fell from by back pack. It was so embarassing that even my crush saw. To make matters worse, I missed the bus because of their redundent "joke". What are some ways to get harmless yet satisfying and a little painful revenge? In the morning, they go throw away their trash and leave their backpacks behind. I also introduced him to another gay friend, who he hit it off, with and even took a plan ride to atlanta to see, and now he is romantically interested in him. I feel like with his new romantic interest, and his rekindling friendship with his ex, he doesn't really have a place for me. I am always the one to face time him, and I feel like he only talks about himself, he never ever asks how I feel about anything, and it just makes me kinda sad. Like yesterday he face-timed, me and 3 minutes after, his ex called and he said "Oh he is calling me," Ill call you back, and never did. I have attended countless of her volleyball and basketball games, but has she ever tried to cheer me on at a xc or track meet, no? The first time was about 3 years ago but no plans were ever made and there's been tons of drama sense then. He is a sociopath, he accuses her of cheating almost every single day just for looking at someone at the grocery store or something. He always think people are out to get him (his family, my family, co workers, my cousin, everyone) He doesn't like her to do activities outside of the family because he thinks she will run into a guy and have sex with him. He calls her a wh**e, sl*t, etc in front of the kids. She told me once that she had thoughts of suicide because of this. A few months ago she seemed positive about leaving him. I told her that she needs to focus on her mental health so that she can be the best mom to her kids. But he carries the majority of financial responsibilities and she can't make due without him. None of our family is in the position to help her more than we already have. He's actually been caught cheating multiple times (just recently with his married ex). On 2 different occasions he quit his job because he "was tired of the responsibility of raising a family and working" & was going to move back with his family & leave the kids and her. I used to have high hopes for them. I feel really horrible about not being happy for her like most of the family is who don't have a clue. I've listened to her cry about him for 3 years now and it's kind of getting old now. |

Say I'll ring the doorbell and i'll hear them arguing and him throwing her. I know he's been doing this for awhile. My friend also has 2 kids by this a**hole, he hits her and she covers it up with makeup, i've also seen her drinking too much alcohol. I don't know what to do, i love my friend and don't want nothing bad to happen to her. please help, what should i do? |

I've always gifted her expensive souvenirs from my travels. But guess what? last year, she gave me a $5 used t-shirt on my birthday and this year, I received nothing at all. Her parents are well paid off and they make a good amount of money. I feel that I am being used! She takes and gives nothing in return.. Posted: 20 Apr 2017 07:06 AM PDT I've been friends with a really special person for a little over a year now, and within that time frame, we've developed a strong, close, and intimate friendship. We've shared secrets that we wouldn't dare tell anyone else, talk about our favorite things entertainment-wise, and we've formed a deep level of trust in each other. We've had our fights, but we would always apologize to each other and resolve our conflicts. However, she's also suicidal, and there have been moments where she would threaten to kill herself. She felt fed up with the fact that she never felt TRUE happiness, or hasn't fallen in love yet, and she felt like there was no reason for her to live anymore because she was constantly feeling unhappy and getting misled or stabbed in the back. Last night when we were talking, she said that by the next day she would already be gone and she told me goodbye. As soon as she said that I replied by saying that I couldn't force her to see the brighter side of life and that she had to find that within herself, but I also said that ultimately it was her call. I haven't heard from her since last night, and I'm genuinely scared that she's already dead. I tried messaging her twice but she never replied. At the moment I'm angry at her for giving up and concluding that ending her own life was the answer, but I also feel sadness because I genuinely thought that the friendship she and I had was strong enough to dissuade her from even THINKING about taking her own life. |

Yet my friend who lives on the other side of the world ALWAYS persists that we talk on the phone. (Skype calls) It's really annoying. I don't know how to tell him that I don't want to talk without him misunderstanding and getting offended. I just make excuses but the truth is talking takes up a LOT of energy for me. I tried telling him before but he probably forgot. Yeah, maybe he loves to talk but I don't and it's nothing personal. I talk at least once a week with him and that's enough for me. So I didn't know and today one of my guy friends asked to use my phone to search something work related and when he opened the browser he saw it but carried on searching for what he needed to. Posted: 20 Apr 2017 12:30 AM PDT I'm confident, and I don't mind being "myself", I actually have a lot to say, but when I talk to people, somehow I can't think of anything to say, but when i'm alone with someone, i'm super talkative and I can tell people like my personality, which is laid back ,very open-minded, and bubbly. When people suddenly talk to me in class though, I only reply with a few words, and someone told me i'm really quiet and that intimidates them to come talk to me. I also smile a lot? I hate that when I walk with my friends, I don't really say anything and somehow I want to be able to join them, not just stand there "for the sake of it"? I'm only in the group because a few of them know how I really am and accept me. |

One friend has been doing it for a couple years now, and while my newsfeed is always full of her posts promoting her products, she's excellent at not being pushy about it if you're not interested. She seems to have plenty of friends and family who are. My other friend is just starting, and she has not only set up events on facebook inviting everyone (which I'm fine with), but has sent me text messages asking if I'm coming to her "launch party". I'm up for hanging out and having fun, but I feel like I'd be a waste of time and money at this party because there's no way I'm buying anything. Do I go to support her emotionally if I'm not going to buy anything? (I'm happy to refer anybody I hear who brings up these products to her, "hey, my friend sells those! Want her number?) Do I tell her this ASAP, so she knows? (It feels cruel to just jump out now as she gets started, "hey, don't bother asking me...I'm not interested. Wanna hang out next week?") Gaah, I don't know what to do? |
