If I convert an audio file to a 16-bit AIFF file instead of 24-bit AIFF, is the 16-bit AIFF file of much lower quality than the 24-bit? I had thought AIFF was "uncompressed", and the audio quality shouldn't have any difference whether it is 16-bit or 24-bit. Any advice/opinions regarding this matter? Thanks.

Almost two years ago, my ex and I got back together after being apart for several years. He was starting over after some legal troubles. He told me he needed a car for work. I have my own vehicle. However, I came up with $4000 to purchase another vehicle for him. The car is registered and insured by me. During the next 10 months he used and maintained the vehicle. In may of last year, he was arrested while in the vehicle,and it was impounded. I retrieved the vehicle. During the time he was incarcerated, my friend's car was repossessed, and she needed a vehicle until she could afford to pay for her car. The transmission of the car failed. She took the car for repair, but found that BC my ex had a custom exhaust installed that blocked access to the transmission, the repair would be super expensive. I had her tow the car back to my house. My bf was released in March, and was upset about my allowing her to drive "his" car. Although I have told him that it's not "his" car,he believes that I should pay to get the car repaired. He and I are no longer together, and I don't have plans on going back into the relationship.
