We have three children two boys & a girl. My husband thinks my mom is disgusting in the fact that she allows me to go back into an environment where I got touched multiple times. Even he went there with us not knowing what happened and thought it was foul how my mom hugged and kissed the two cousins that did stuff to me like nothing was wrong. When he confronted her about and didn't want my kids around her she got really hurt. He thinks she's on the same spectrum with people who are sexual predators. I'm really family oriented and want her around them but not the way I did before. He said if she's comes to our house to visit with my dad and brother he'll take the kids somewhere else or be aggressive with her making her uncomfortable. I want them to stay in my house when she comes but he wants them In a hotel. We have four dogs and my mom has spanked two of them with a newspaper when they were barking but I never have her permission to do that and we don't do that either. So our dogs don't like her either. My oldest son who's 1 doesn't care for her but my daughter barely does. So basically the only person who wants her around is me what can I do? The kids won't go without my husband as they're very attached to him and notice he doesn't like her..

I usually stand by our front door and my husband gives me a kiss as he leaves for work. This morning my mom was standing there with me as my husband was going to work. I am seriously considering disowning my mother. I'm 22 years old and in terms of 'being there' for my sister and I, she always provided us a place to live, food, clothes etc. But in terms of ever showing us physical affection that was a no-no, and we spent a lot of time at our grandparent's house so that she could do as she pleased. She brought us around a lot of unsuitable men and put us in harmful situations, smoked weed etc all our lives. Now I'm older and have a job, car, place etc I am considering cutting her out of my life. She seems to do nothing but make me miserable and now she has a new boyfriend she basically told me I had to move out, wasn't wanted here etc. I just feel an inconvenience to her and since I still have my grandparents, sister, friends, boyfriend and his family, I'm left wondering, do I really needher?

Im the oldest child in my family. It can be stressful since my parents expect me to be a good influence. I have a brother is three years younger than me and my sister is one year younger than me. She acts like the boss of me, she is a selfish and spoiled brats that my parents cant control, abd she embaresses me at every moment possible. I share a room with her and she takes my stuff. When decorating our room it has to be her way. If she wants something she gets it. My older sister and I just recently became very close (In December last year) she would always message me nearly every day and ask if I would like to go out with her on the weekend and now I have not heard anything from her in over 2 weeks and that's only because I messaged her first. When she saw me a week ago (family gathering) she didn't really initiate conversation like usual and hug me or anything. My mom came to visit 2 days ago and she's staying for another week or 2. She one of those people who thinks Trump is still doing a great job as president and my husband is Mexican. So she's basically been treating him like her personal work horse since she got into town and he doesn't say anything but I help him out, I don't let him work alone when she asks him to do things. She just parked her camper trailer in front of our house this morning and handed him the keys so he can "do whatever he wants with it" while she's at church (she's a devout Mormon, we don't go with her), meaning she wants him to hook up all the utilities and get it all cleaned up inside and ready for her to relax when she gets back. I told him don't bother with it. What would you do in my situation? My mother is very overbearing and sensitive, and she invited herself to come visit us. It was all I could do to convince her not to sleep on an air mattress in my living room.

My 16 year old neighbor confided in me that she is sick of always have to watch her younger siblings while her mom and step-dad go out and party on the weekends. She says they go out nearly every weekend and are gone most of the weekend. I do see her watching her 4 younger half-siblings quite a lot (ages 2, 4, 7, and 8) and I actually mentioned how she was so good with them and that is when she told me about being so sick of it all and that she just wants time to herself on the weekends. I'm a 17 year old guy and my sis is 20. We are super close and get along really well... we never get into arguments and do a lot of stuff together. So my sister and me hug each other every day and sometimes we cuddle, usually when we are sitting on the couch. We started doing it when we were really young and it has never changed since then. She has sticky hands. Every time she comes over something is missing from my home. The first time I met her she managed to take a whole 1lb bag of spinach into her purse somehow without asking if it was okay to take all my spinach. She always has this weird fake baby voice she speaks in. Her and my brother came to visit me yesterday and 3 of my expensive makeup brushes are missing from my vanity that I used the same day they were coming. I did not misplace it because I only own 6 brushes and I always clean and put them back each use. My vanity is located in my only bathroom...which she used... We are older women, best friends..more like sisters. We were on holiday just a few days ago, & all the time we were away, she drank heavily. One day she was so drunk, she was yelling out the taxi window, talking very loudly in the taxi, & constantly playfully hitting the drivers shoulder. When we got back to the resort, she continued to drink & she said some things that were very hurtful. We did talk about the hurtful things. I've never seen her drink like this before, & I find it very disturbing. I don't want to go on holiday with her again if she's going to be drinking like she was. We're booked yet again for Jan./2018. She has often said about her x-husband's drinking & that she'd never put up with that in her life again..(he was drunk frequently, & always when on holiday). I don't want to jeopardize the friendship..but she needs to know what she's like when she's drinking. Further..She says she never forgets what she says (even when drinking)but she's been asking some questions about certain things on the day she was drunk. Me, my fience, his son and his mother live all under one roof. I take up cleaning cooking and so forth (which would be hell to pay if I don't by the grandmother's standers) and of course do "motherly" chores. But it never seems to be enough. I good off with my stepson but he also seems to understand boundaries. But as I said...all that goes out the window when his grandmother appears. We had an issue when just anyone would walk up and he'd act a donky but now it's only when "she" peeks her head around the corner...he acts out screams whines throws an attitude towards me and acts as if I don't even exsist. My issue is this. My brother doesn t believe in the applying for full time jobs. He firmly believes that there is no point in doing since you have to know someone who works at said job to do it. He currently has a job where is on an as need basis, $10 an hour, off the books and where his boss makes routine trips to Europe. My only thing is I can admit is that I am very "territorial" with him as in I don't let him watch Porn, because it ruins sex and it affects your brain and we don't have friends of the opposite sex unless we both agree on the person. When I was younger I didn't care if he watched porn or hung out with girls because I had no reason not to trust him, He cheated on me and I continued to trust him and forgive until it went on for 6 years that's when I had enough and started to be on top of things, I was fine with porn until I got tired of him always comparing me to porn stars I was 15 not fully developed and getting compared to 30 year old women who had fake bodies, so just imagine what that did to my self esteem. So that is why we both agreed on no porn. I have always been there for her son even after the hell he's put me through so I do not get why she would say that.

I currently live in a very abusive household where I get sexually, physically, and verbally abused by my brother, dad, and mom, and I'm wondering if it's worth it to continue to try and get moved out of here. I've been offered many places to stay by friends, but moving to a family member would probably end up being worse, so I wouldn't want to move there...would I be forced to move to a family members, or into foster care or could I get moved to a friends house that has a great household? And do you think it's worth it to keep trying even though my family has been reported 4 time? Thanks.

My parents have been married for over 30 years. Recently my mother found out that my father had already created his will without her knowing. In doing so he gave all his properties, businesses, and savings to my two eldest brothers (are over 30 years old)-leaving nothing for my mother, my sisters, nor myself. Anytime my mother would bring this issue up he would tell her that no women (wife and daughters) of his will get anything. He mentioned that their children will take the savings bestowed to them. My sisters' children are all under 8 years old. My brother seem to be taking advantage of this. Recently, my father signed a mortgage and sent over $160000 to a business partnership property (in another state) that he has not seen in person and only heard about by the partners-all this just to get my brother a job. my brother is also persuading my father to purchase a house for well over $130000 for my brothers wife and children to stay in while he works in another state. Again this makes no sense to me as they will be in two different parts of the country and my father is well over 60 years old and does not have the energy to look after another family.

It s come to my awareness that my relationship with my mom is unlike normal relationships people have with their mothers. These are a list of things she does... my question is she emotionally abusive? Thanks for your answer! - yells at me when she is mad about my siblings even though I have nothing to do with their argument - lashes out at me randomly if I ask her the simplest of questions ( example: I asked her if she needed the bathroom because I planned to have a shower and she lashed out saying I was interrupting her while she was messaging someone through Facebook) - gets extremely angry if I go out ( in my own vehicle which I pay for) and will remind me constantly that I could have been needed at home. Even if I didn t. - pays no attention to me when I talk. Will constantly be on her phone or randomly walk away - says hurtful things about my relationship status, suggesting I should be less picky and compares me to my siblings - makes up fake issues between us so she can fight with me. - makes me do all the housework. Even though she is a stay at home mom and simply just plays on her computer. I understand helping out but I work and go to school ( uni) so cleaning the entire house everyday is quite tiring!

My have always argued with each other. It has become a sport now where they constantly disagree with each other. Every now and then me and my younger siblings see them fighting(physically and verbally). It's sad to watch the adults act like children. Recently the arguments has increased and they now go outside the house to argue. They are starting to see that we hear them. There seems to be money issues in the family and they need money. My dad has been threatening to leave the house, but is waiting for my little sister to turn 18 and finish HS in about a year. I'm so stressed out right now. First , I don't know how we are going to pay rent. I'm the only one of my siblings with job experience. My mom don't make past 40k. I'm still in college with no degree past an associate degree in general education.I have always dreamed about moving away from my family and starting my own independent life elsewhere but I don't know if I can leave. I know my parents problems are theirs only to bear but it's been effecting me. I can't concentrate in school or daily activities no more. All I think about is how we are going to survive when Dad leaves. Should I go see a therapist?

Long story short him and his wife treated her like trash by false accusations and slander (child sexual abuse/poisoning), ((Long story short brother's wife was abused by her older brothers and her mother basically ditched her during her cries of help.)) Moving forward my brothers and mine mother tried everything within her power to be a friend to my brothers wife. Since she too went through mental and physical abuse. Erin (Wife) basically turned our mother into some she devil. Both made her suffer mentally, aside from slander they refused to talk to her period and refused to let her visit her grandchildre, and overall treated her like sh*t.If you ask me my older brother basically made his bed within this family and I, and serveral other members who arent too happy with the older brother, dont want him to be there either. Honestly, as bad as it sounds if I did see his face I would probably beat the **** out of him. Of course I wouldn't, since I'm not fond of the thought of going to prison for charges. ((Plus I'm a pacifist))

I recently visited the state my sisters are residing for college and on the last night I was there, one of my sisters attacked me for a reason that is too long to explain. Bottom line, during this 'fight' she pulled my hair, grabbed my neck, and bit me on my cheek, which left a bruise. She did all of this in an attempt to prevent me from not talking to our other sister, who was not present during this event This was the first time I was physically attacked by anyone. My mother knew of what had happened, and when she picked me up from the airport the next day, she didn't say anything about what had happened the night before; she swept the entire event under the rug. the only people who know about this event is me, my mother, and my one sister (the one who attacked me.) My sister apologized in tears and I forgave her, but what happened isn't something I can't forget. My mom doesn't ask me if I'm ok or doesn't offer to talk about what happened. In her mind, the event literally did not happen. This wouldn't bother me if I had someone to talk to, but I'm not allowed to tell anyone or else I'd be in trouble. And because of that, I've been super depressed thinking no one cares about how I was affected. I've been kinda crying silently at night. I try to distract myself but it always catches up to me. I love my sister, but I think this really traumatized me, but I'm not sure what that feels like. Can I get some advice? am I traumatized?
