My BF said "I'm not in rush for marriage soon" but also said we will see next year. When would a man be ready for marriage? Does it take time? Earlier this year, he was not ready for move in but he asked me this month if I would like to. He sees my mom as mother in law?

We have a busy life with 3 little kids and I know life is life. With working from we see each other more so I know we need breaks at time. However it seems like her frustrations at work or at the kids are put on me. It's like she answers me with an attitude. When she has a problem I listen. I told her she needs to chill and I'm at the point I just want to be away from her. I probably don't mean that long term, but I'm nice to her and I feel I don't get the same treatment back all the time.  Been married for several years but maybe this is married life with kids?

The last couple of days his phone which he usually always keeps on the desk with his wallet has been gone so I think he has it on his nightstand by the bed because he doesn't want me to look at it. Not that I would of course. But I did notice it was gone and he's been giving me the silent treatment.  Meant by the nightstand on his side of the bed.

The couple separated 7 times before finally divorcing in the past year. I suspect I will be dead meat if I ever an nice to his ex again but I don't see her as bad but rather just as the dysfunctional marriage ending after 7 separations in 29 years. They had 4 kids who all have problems because of it now and the daughter will not speak to her father, my uncle. Meanwhile both spouses are alcoholics. So why might it be the anger at the ex? Is it a part of family loyalty? My parents are not mad at their friend who got a divorce from a bad marriage. Plus the uncle had a terrible temper especially when drinking though he did take ownership of it and has tried to get help. Martin: Well said and you are right it is a disability and no one's fault. 

My BF and I will be moving in together to see if we are compatible for marriage. He says he has no issues with me but he wants to see if he can have his freedom while living together before we discuss marriage. He defines freedom as being able to go out with friends, not break friendships, etc.

I was born when my mom was 21 and dad was 26. They were uni students and not married but had their own small apartment. They did end up getting married around 10 years later tho.

Our marriage was struggling and I was feeling down about her never coming on to me and lack of sex which I had discussed with her (I am 33 her 27), I had gotten very drunk at a work event and almost had sex with a coworker. This was my first time stepping out and I will admit my self esteem had been very low from being denied sex at home. My wife was suppose to be with me at the event as I am the business owner but went on a girls trip to Miami after I begged her to stay and a week prior had told her "I can not live like this anymore" and that "she was pushing me away". This happened on a Sunday and she was suppose to come back Monday morning. Instead of coming back she immediately had secretly hired a lawyer and when she got back to town Tuesday I saw that she had wired 80k to pay off her student loans from an account I had funded prior to even speaking to me about the incident. Then she showed no emotion and gave me a 30 day countdown to fire the coworker, put her name on my premarital home and premarital business and I do not even have a prenup so they are already technically hers. She refused counseling or to talk about the issue until these things were done. She started counting down the number of days and would keep taking out random dollar amounts such as 10k, 20k etc from this account as the days passed. I was working to let the coworker go from the job during this time but as appropriately as possible without making it a huge HR issue. I now have an attorney. 

I have extreme ptsd and his friend did a wife swap. I asked him what he thought and he said his first thought was interesting but after thinking it wasn't something he wanted or was actually interested in. He called it an intrusive thought. But due to the ptsd from sexual origins I feel betrayed and torn apart. All I feel is pain and everything from our past is bothering me. He used to hit me and say he regretted having a family. He got help and now he's happy. He said I made him a better person but with his mind that way I'm not sure if I can love him anymore. Should I leave him?

So my mom has been with her boyfriend and she is like 7 months pregnant and it is quite obvious. She has a big belly and trouble walking longer distances.  She came to pick me up a few days. We were with my friends. She briefly came out of the car and then we left.  The next day my friends said that she is a freaking whore and she looked dumb with that big belly. I just ignored them but now I feel like it's a bit embarrassing. She is 35 and I am 14 if that matters.

Why in a marriage does something come up by outside forces mostly about sex with other people like wife swapping? Why? All it does it hurt people even if thinking about it, it's not something you want. Should you forgive sometimes for thinking that might be interesting but deciding no? Like it was a "intrusive" thought and he was ashamed it ever came up. He hates that it did because it ruined us. Especially with CPTSD from sexual trauma as a child(the spouse has this) If wife swapping isnt a normal thought then why did his friend have to bring it up? The wife only feels hate and pain now

Is there a name for that type of phobia?

For example if she had two and doesn't like BC. Can she make him wear condoms or is it his right to have natural sex with his wife?

Hi I am faith Ever since I was a child my parents say me as a burden I was emotionally verbally physically and mentally abusive I was treated like trash I was told I could never do any thing in life I was reminded of this daily my brother would slap me belittle me and hit me but I always forgive him because I needed to feel love my sister bullied me all the time I left home as soon as I turned 18 on my 18 birthday I pack my things and I told my parents "I will never see you again and once I get married and have kids I will never invite you to my wedding and I will never let you see them" it was also the first time I stood up for myself so I left and never looked back I filed a restraining order I moved to South Carolina and I married once but my first husband was abusive so I divorced him I met another wonderful man and I  married the man of my dreams and I have been happily married for 27 years  and have my own children and grandchildren but I still break down and cry about my parents not loving me during my childhood somehow things will be good then bam I will remember and then get depressed again it wounded me very deeply my husband and my kids and grandkids have helped filled that void for me but still I feel sad and depressed about it. It wounded me very deeply and I never moved on or healed from it  Is it ok to still cry about my parents not loving me  I am still sad and angry about it 

Hello,  My husband is addicted to pornography (everyday, sometime multiple times a day) and I have always been against it when you are in a committed relationship. He sees nothing wrong with it and shows no signs of stopping and says that I am trying to change him by asking him to quit.  Any advice? He said he is completely satisfied with me. It doesn't affect our sex life and he does do it as a "visual" for masturbation. He said he only does it when we don't have sex for a couple days but I have found this to be not true. We have talked about it multiple times and I have expressed why it hurts me and he still wont kick the habit.

Several years ago my husband and I went through a financial rough patch and our cell phones were temporarily turned off. we downloaded texting apps so we could keep in touch. Now that we're past that I found out the other day that he still had the texting app on his phone and was texting someone. When I asked him who it was he said it was some guy who texted him thinking he was a younger white girl. So he's been texting back and forth with this guy for some time now pretending to be this girl. He even showed me the text msgs and he sent the guy a random pic of a girl in her 20s. I told him I did not approve of what he was doing and what if the guy shows up at our house looking to hook up with the white girl? He said that he's not given the guy any address and more importantly, he would never give the guy our address. He said he's just stringing the guy along letting him think he could get with this girl. Again I told him I did not approve of it. Now, every time I walk into the room and he's on his phone on this app he'll see me and close it or go to a game he likes to play. I think he's hiding something. What do you guys think? Is he really just having some fun with this guy or is it possibly more to it?

This friend is also married. Or it should be reserved for same sex friends. More so if he/she initiate the talking by asking questions about your marriage and make your spouse look inadequate. Always initiate those conversations and you have feeling as if he/she tries to induce your dissatisfaction with your spouse and marriage.

ok so i been dealing with mental issues for like a year, depression,anxiaty, narcolepsy, ptsd, did, and a couple more i dont remember right now.   the worst part is that i also lost my job i haven't been able to get beter so no job yet    the good thing is im staying home with my 1 year old baby boy while wife is at work,  well after loosing my mind and job where i was making good money , she's been a total ***** to me   she's activating all my triggers not been supportive at all , i realize she's a narc. so she also triangulated me big time , we been together for 20 years , and after the first month of me having a lot of issues , she tells me she can't take it anymore and i should go or se will go away. (she is also a administrator for a psychiatric clinic) so its been a year i cant get beter she make it to dificult , im even enbarace to say i been emotional abuse by her , i try to blow my brain ones already ..so i spend 2 weeks on a mental hospital, wich was the best i been treat on a long time .  so i find out she has been doing sex video  chating with a bunch of guys for awhile but she spent more time doing it when i was in the hospital.   i need to get out of here , any legal  advice ? and also should i go for emotional abuse?  i got all the videos and pictures also the convesations she had with them .she do it at every hr , before work during work on the way home and at home after work in the long showers she takes .
