Question: How to cope with nice but irritating best friend? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 04:44 PM PDT I need some serious advice about this. I have a super close friend, and we are like sisters. We love each other a lot, and are always texting when we're not together. But there's an issue here - she's very, erm, 'unique'. In the sense that she is actually a pretty annoying person the more time I have spent with her, and she doesn't communicate her thoughts that properly. She is actually super eccentric. It's starting to bother me, but she's a SUPER nice person, very kind and helpful and thoughtful. Very loving. It makes me feel bad to think about her not so good points, and I feel I'm only sticking with her because of her loving personality. Even our conversations are becoming dumb, she hardly keeps the convo going with her own thoughts. Instead, she just silently listens to me talk. Like we might be having a serious convo, I might be saying something serious about my own life, and she just listens and goes like 'mhm, mhm'. There's no further input from her unless I specifically say, 'say something, add your thoughts,' then she might suddenly start saying more. I didn't notice these things (and other irritating things I haven't listed here) before until I started meeting her for days and days every month. How can I deal with this? I do NOT want to end the friendship. Basically, how do you deal with an irritating person? Thanks. |
Question: How do i get rid of a friend nicely ? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 04:10 PM PDT how do i tell my friend nicely that i don't want to be friends with them anymore? the whole thing is abit awkward as we sit next to each other in a lesson and spent a lot of time in school together but since isolation she hasn't messaged me once apart to ask for work answers even though she knows i have been very very ill. this shows me that she does not care about me and only uses me when it's convenient for her. i asked her how she was a couple of times and she said fine without even asking me back! i do want to keep it civil but i'm afraid she will lash out and she does love to gossip and ***** about people behind their backs. any tips or is it inevitable to be taken badly? |

Question: Should I NOT mention this to my boss? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 12:52 PM PDT I have worked at a company for 7 years. The last 3 years for a terrible boss. He hit on all the female employees married or not. He often made us work through our lunch hour. We had a big party to celebrate his leaving (after he left). Everyone was happy to get a new boss. However my happiness turned to tears when I found out who the new boss was. It was a guy who had asked me for dates in high school and I turned him down every time. I just knew he would fire me to get back for turning him down for dates. For the first month I worked for him, I lived in fear every day that he would fire me. However he never said a word about us going to high school together. It appeared he did not remember me and what I did to him. Perhaps because I am using my married name now. My close friend Jill thinks he is just a nice guy that remembers but does not want to embarrass me by saying anything about our past. Everyone thinks and I agree he is a great boss. He is giving us all training so we can get a raise and promotion. For those of us that have kids, he will cover for us when we have to go to a school event or when we have doctor's appointment for our kids. My coworkers just adore him as their boss. I still have the fear that one day he will remember me and fire me. Am I fearful for no reason? Should I mention our past to him or just forget it and move on? |
Question: How should I act around my girl friend? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 12:47 PM PDT Long story short, I'm a 22 year old guy, and I have a girl my age who has been an online friend of mine for about 4 years. We met in person for the first time last year, and we met for coffee one time. She goes to school out of state, so I don't usually get too many opportunities to see her. She's back in town now, and we have a plan for me to pick her up next week and take her for dinner. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a date. We haven't flirted or anything. But I do have a crush on her. I'm just not sure where to go from here. |

Question: My nephew is fighting over me about the playroom, am I wrong? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 11:59 AM PDT My nephew is abled body. A 25 years old man. He got his college degree. But he still wants to come see his Granny in Mississippi. I'm living with his Granny. My mom. I am disabled and a female and I'm nearly 50 years old. I can't afford to live on my own. My nephew wants to come over for Christmas to spend 2 weeks with his friends. And only a few minutes with me and Granny. The playroom is an extra room with television and computer in it. And he wants me to sit in my tiny bedroom while he and his friends hang out in the playroom playing video game. I feel that he should stay in Washington and focus on getting a career, because when he gets about my age, he'll regret for not doing things when he was younger. Because I know, I'm 50... I wish I could do other things but because of my disability, I can't really do much. But he, he is missing out so many things... such as hanging out with other young people... go to the beach, being with girls, boatride and other fun stuff. I don't know why my nephew is so obsessed with wanting to mess with me... And this playroom and wanting to play video game in that room. I asked him, "If I have friends over, would you like it if I tell you to go to your room while I and my friends can stay in the playroom? His friends have houses, why can't he go there? What is it about the playroom? |

Posted: 04 Jul 2020 06:41 AM PDT So last year I went camping with some friends and this boy like touched me in one of the tents. Idk if it was "sexual assault" or anything with a big label. (We don't speak to him any more and I have a new friendship group). My friendship group now wanna go camping again and ofc I wanna go but I just feel this intense panic and fear when thinking about actually going into a tent. Is that normal? |
Question: When a woman invites a man inside for a water or soda? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 06:30 AM PDT Could she like him? That probably sounds like a silly question but I'm curious. I work in a tenant building. I delivered a tenant's mail in person. The apartment number was missing from it, I wrote the number down and gave it to her. So she invited me in for a drink of water or soda. I said no thanks but I appreciate it, I had more mail to hand out. She said you're so sweet and thanked me. I like her and I think she's attractive. I had another brief encounter with her yesterday. She stopped by my desk so I could put a work order in for her. |
Question: Why was this guy boasting so much when he knew i used to like his brother? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 04:32 AM PDT we met this guy and his wife today and i used to really like his brother. My friend asked how his brother was and he replied about how he is going on a holiday and meeting up with his gf and qualifying in university etc. The guy is in his 40's. Then the mans wife says now all he needs to do is actually get a job. |
Question: How can you deal with these people? Posted: 04 Jul 2020 04:13 AM PDT People that has a 'I can be mean if I want to be attitude' They usually are nice to people they like and mean and abusive or harass people that they don't like. If you make them mad they would be onto you and likely hurt you or try to hurt you, or get their friends to do something to you. They usually talk to certain people, they just don't walk up to anybody and talk to them and try to get to know anyone or anybody. This is the best way I can describe them. |

Question: How can i make my friend pee herself? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 11:53 PM PDT i know its wierd but i need to do this cause i made a whole new account dedecated to this under an alias email. she has to be awake when it happens. i mean like a way to trick her into peeing herself or making her laugh so hard she pees. |
Question: Worried about baby cousin's (8) personality? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 11:35 PM PDT Now, Idk how to word it without sounding like an a**hole but here we go. My cousin (8M) keeps talking about himself. Let me explain, we are very close to each other and I love him to bits. Like we talk everyday even though we live far from each other. Recently, I've noticed that he keeps talking about himself. It's always about him and his parents and how great they are doing. Not just that, he puts others down to make him look better. For instance, he is getting a new expensive laptop, and he asked me what laptop I use, I told him the brand. Then, he went on for 15 minutes about how his laptop will be better than mine. (BTW, I'm not mad at him or anything, but if he did this to other people or his friends, they would be offended yk?) It's not surprising to me considering that his parents are somewhat like that. His dad has tendencies to keep talking about whatever he wants, regardless of other people being obviously bored. His mom likes to showoff how well they are doing (which I am happy for them). So he like the combination of this parents. All this rambling to say, I am concerned about his habits. Will he grow out of it? It's whatever when he is young but when he is older, I don't think people would like to be around an egocentric person. Is there anything I can do about this? Am I overreacting? Like, I just don't want him to get older and struggle to have a meaningful social life due to this. Thanks! |
Question: Consulta sobre la prostitución? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 10:42 PM PDT ¿Apoyar la prostitución es igual que apoyar la trata de personas? |
Question: I need some space from my friend what should I do? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 09:22 PM PDT I have a friend whom I met online who I talk to everyday multiple times a day. The only thing is the friendship is very one sided. So this friend I met online and he has a very rough home life(abused physically, mentally, and sexually by his dad) and he clings to me and we constantly talk about his sufferings and it's severely draining to listen to the countless accounts of abuse. I've brought up several times that I need a break for a couple days and he always tries to guilt me into cutting my break short(which works mostly even though we talk everyday multiple times a day) He is older than me( I'm 16, he's 17) and he doesn't understand that I need some space being extremely introverted and to be honest I see him more as a therapy patient I am burdened with rather than a friend. What should I do? Ps: I'm not going to block him, just need some advice on how to help without giving up all of my free time. Thanks! :) |
Question: Who is in the wrong in this situation? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 08:42 PM PDT My "friend" randomly texts me out of the blue asking me for a ride. I am living on a college campus without a car so I respond "can't help you with that one." 24 hours later he texts me again, again asking for a ride. This time I get very irritated and angrily tell him the car I drive has been left back home at my parents' house, so does he expect me to just steal some random car parked on the street? He says I should have been more explicit the first time and said I didn't have the car with me, and that I don't have the right to be annoyed with him If you ask someone for a favor and are told no, does it really make sense to ask again for the same favor the next day? |
Question: How to get into a different friend group? ? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 08:22 PM PDT I love my friends, I really do but I just want to find other friends. It's to the point where they only hang out when it's convenient for them and it has been making me feel so lonely. I don't know what to do anymore. How do I meet new people |
