Posted: 03 Jul 2020 02:50 PM PDT I am 13 and I miss knowing people. It is just my parents, siblings, and I at the farm and only my Dad can go anywhere and just goes for groceries and then to his room for the day so not to get us sick with this deadly disease. We live with him but cannot see him since he goes to the grocery store. The only people I can see are my mother and 2 siblings. The rest of the school year was on the computer and now we just sit at the farm all day doing nothing. Our parents say we cannot go to school next year because of this deadly disease. I am scared my Dad might die from it or that we could still get sick even though he stays alone in his room away from us. I don't want to die because it is scary. I am scared the people I knew back when I could see people and know people will be dead when we find a cure one day. I am also scared I will never see anyone again because there won't be a cure and we will be like this forever and ever. Please help, how long until we can hug people and be close to them again. I am getting really depressed and scared. My Mom just watches the news all day so she will know what is happening and so she never wants to chat and it is hard to socialize with my brothers Chris and Dave because we have to wear masks. Help please tell me something to make me feel better. We live in West Virginia which is in the country USA |
Posted: 03 Jul 2020 02:40 PM PDT This is the highlight of my summer and I am the host. It will be next summer before I see most of them and I am so upset that every day I feel awful about it. How do I get over this? How do I still enjoy my summer without the best part as even though I am an adult I love summer the way a kid does. |
Posted: 03 Jul 2020 02:38 PM PDT The sister is 26 and our parents do lots of things for her and she does not appreciate it but continues to abuse. Not saying they have to become estranged from her like I am but just stop doing anything for her because she is so bad. |
Question: Going on holiday alone but in a relationship? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 01:10 PM PDT Hi, my partner has decided he wants to go on holiday in the next few weeks. He wants to go alone and have a family holiday later on in the year/ next year. My question is, is it odd for a man who is in a happy relationship with a step child to want to go on holiday on his own ( he isn't going with friends either, he'll be totally alone) for a week. He has always mentioned that he wanted to go alone and I've always said he can do what he wants but it's very strange for a bloke in a relationship to want to go away with on his own 😂. I know it not to cheat or anything like that, just wanted to know opinions and if anyone else has had this with their partners thanks 😊 |
Question: How likely is it that my 3 brothers get horny in my company? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 12:34 PM PDT Ok so I am a 16 year old girl and I have three brothers. They are 17-20. We are often home alone watching movies on the couch. We sometimes fall asleep on the couch or then we have actualy sleeping bags. They have never done anything but I feel like they stare sometimes. It's a bit weird being the only girl with three guys. |

Posted: 03 Jul 2020 09:55 AM PDT We are both students and have been together about 8 months. I go home twice each year to see my family, and as I was talking about it recently she asked if she could come. I said sure without really thinking about the details, and later realized that I really wanted time just myself and family/old friends, that being the purpose of the trip after all. I guess I feel like things would be different with her around, and I'd be mostly preoccupied with showing her around and keeping her entertained. Anyway, we roughly planned that we'd fly over together, then about a week later she'd fly to her home state while I stayed with my family. Then we'd reconvene back where we are now. She's not in the dark here - she knows I want some time to myself. Now due to covid issues, it looks like her home state won't be a good place to visit. That doesn't change my own reasons for wanting to split the trip so to speak, but she wants to spend the entire time with me now. Am I crazy for wanting or asking her to basically leave halfway through? |
Posted: 03 Jul 2020 09:50 AM PDT So, my sister just turned 18 years old. She lives with my grandparents who control her. She has a curfew of 930 pm, she has to stay at the table all day and do schoolwork, if my grandparents have to go anywhere she isnt allow to stay home without them. I am coming to visit her in the next week and were going tubing. My grandmother said no. Can she actually stop my sister from coming tubing? I'm paying for everything, the trip up there, the rental car, etc. My grandma isn't paying out for anything. I just wanted to know if my grandmother can actually tell her from no since she is 18 years old. I don't think she can especially since she is 18 and isnt a parent. What are y'all opinion on this. |

Posted: 03 Jul 2020 05:16 AM PDT I visited my parents for a total of about 2 1/2 weeks earlier this year (in three trips). Two of them were specifically at their request. After I returned to my home (600 miles away), my mother wrote me, suggesting that I "take a break" from visiting them and save my money and enjoy a new home that I had recently bought. That was 6 weeks ago. Since then, my mother has written me several times, hinting that I should come visit (I think; she tells me that their dog misses me). I had bought a plane ticket to visit them this coming weekend, but I plan to cancel it. I don't want to get Covid-19 on a plane. But moreso, I am angry. Angry at my parents for telling me not to come visit, although they have the right to, after they had demanded that I visit. Angry at my parents for demanding that I visit, hinting that I visit, and also telling me not to visit. And, most of all, angry at myself for whatever I did to result in being told not to visit, and angry that my people skills are so poor. Would you just avoid visiting them until (1) they specifically request a visit and (2) Covid-19 travel restrictions are gone? If I visit them, my state requires that I self-quarantine for 14 days when I get home. Thanks. |

Question: I feel really guilty about something...? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 02:20 AM PDT I usually can tell my parents everything but I bought something that I don't think they'd approve Of it was a vitastik and made it sent to the post office instead of home since I didn't want them seeing it. I kinda lied about where I was going to check on the order and I'm planning on going again to pick it up in the next week. I'm turning 18 and they are planning a trip for me and paid for everything and I feel super bad that Im lying to them....I tried to return the item but it was too late I know I shouldn't be like this about something but it's bugging me... any advice ? I don't want them getting mad of anything and grounding me or taking my phone I don't know I used a visa gift card to get it Btw I bought the item to help me sleep |
Question: Did my dad buy a cheap house compared to his income? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 02:02 AM PDT My dad makes about $500k-600k a year. We lived in a house that cost 700k but he sold it as he wanted something bigger. It was only 60 square meters so it's understandable. Now he bought a house for 1.6 million. He has no debt so I feel like he could've something more expensive but this is good too. |
Question: Is there a difference between lifting someone and throwing them? Posted: 03 Jul 2020 01:12 AM PDT Is there? when I was 11 my mom got so mad at me she threw me on the bed I was standing still and she grabbed my arm and I lifted off my feet and landed on the bed on my side. Was she stronger to throw me just by moving and swinging arm than to carry me? |
Question: How to deal with unkind mom? ? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 11:05 PM PDT We're pretty close, but anytime I say anything she doesn't like - even something totally meaningless, like if she wants to watch a certain movie/read a certain news story/etc - she becomes incredibly unkind. She'll call me names, berate me, and then turn it around and guilt me as if I have somehow inconvenienced her by annoying her. It's just totally exhausting. I'm moving back to college in about a month, but I just don't know how to cope with it right now - some of the things she says just really, genuinely hurt me, and I feel depressed all the time. |
Question: I have a problem... ? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 10:57 PM PDT Soo.. Back in freshman year (I'm gonna be a senior this year so, 3-4 years ago) I... Said the N word.. I'm not black... I am white I did get in trouble, but I haven't told my parents yet and I'm scared to because ik their gonna get mad... And.. My siblings, my older siblings are black.. I'm thinking about telling my sister, but ik she's gonna get mad at me too then tell my mom and then I'm gonna have major anxiety and cry but.. Yea.. I haven't said the word since. I learned my lesson not to say it cause if I did I'd get in trouble but keeping this secret from my parents for as long as I have.. I'm gonna be in major trouble probably.. What should I do? |
Question: Is this child abuse? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 10:51 PM PDT My dad wants nothing to do with me. He has ignored me my whole life, the only time he ever pays attention to me is to treat me like crap. Nothing nice ever comes out of mouth to me. He constantly puts me down, tells people I'm no good, occasionally smacks me and punches me. He pulls out a baseball bat and threatens me and hits me with it. He throws me into walls. He has smacked my dog around. His mother wants nothing to do with me either. Sometimes when he thinks I'm asleep he whispers in my ear that I'm a fatass loser and I should have never been born. |
Question: Why do my parents use my inexperience and youth against me? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 10:16 PM PDT They say I don't know anything so they won't let me learn anything. They fear that I will fail, because I am young. So they won't let me live because they are afraid I'll make mistakes. How is that fair to me? There is no guide to life, everyone makes mistakes, but failure isn't a bad thing. It allows for personal growth. They are so afraid of letting me grow up that they won't let me grow up |
Posted: 02 Jul 2020 09:18 PM PDT I don't approve of his lifestyle choices. He's my son and I love him but I'm disappointed and embarrassed by him. He's smoking weed and he can not only ruin his life but he can ruin my our family and all of the hard things we've worked towards if the cops pull him over. He's been smoking weed for a year now and despite our attempts of trying to tell him not to smoke and punishing him if he does he continues to smoke. Everyday when he gets off work he's smoking. He says he has bad anxiety and it helps him. I didn't know he had anxiety but that's still no excuse for him to be smoking. It's crazy because our daughter has anxiety too but she's never smoked and she's actually repulsed by smoking. She handles her anxiety in healthier ways. My son said " who wouldn't have anxiety with a controlling mom like her. Who tells a 21 year old they can't move out. She wants me to stay here so she can have power over me." My wife has good intentions she just cares about him. We all care about and love him. And we don't want anything happening to him. But it's only so much I can say and if he moves out I can't stop him because he's legal but my wife doesn't want him moving out because she says it's going to make things worse. She told me " do you want our son to be dead somewhere because you've been too laid back about this." I can only lecture him so much. I don't know what else she wants me to do especially if he moves out Our wife was also upset because our son told us he wanted to get a hotel to spend alone time with a female. Of course we don't approve of premarital sex and she doesn't approve of spending the night with females. He was like " I'm trying to be respectful by not having sex in y'all house" |
Question: How can I tell my sister to stop buying me stuff? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 09:09 PM PDT She keeps bugging me and buying me stuff I keep on telling her I can buy my own stuff but she does it anyway and it makes me feel like a charity case . Like im 22 and I don't need you to get me stuff . And she tries to decorate my room the way she wants to and disrespects my ways of decorating it like I wanted to buy a lil Wayne and biggie posters and she went saying it makes your room look like a lil boys room but I have friends my age or older have posters like that at their cribs. Even my mom agrees with her saying I'm 22 and need to decorate more maturely then I start going off arguing and lock them out my room. My sister out of no where bought a don't disturb the gamer poster for my room and I just left it in another room . Like how can I tell her to stop so she can stop |
Question: Why do most families protect the family child molestor? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 07:46 PM PDT Almost every family I've encountered including my own had at least one family child molestor. Who not only did it but kept on doing it and no one would ever confront them. They'd talk about it in hushed whispers but would do nothing. Would not confront them, would not turn them in. Continued to allow new generations of children to be hurt by these monsters. My family has one prominent one. My great grandfather. Who molested his own daughters. Then moved onto extended family because when his daughters had daughters they wouldn't let him alone with them. But still they did nothing from stopping him from harming anyone who wasn't their own child. |
Question: I really need help with this. ? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 07:13 PM PDT I am extremely terrified of losing my family, but especially my Auntie. She is INCREDIBLY beautiful, and I am scared to death some idiots will try to rape her, and if she resists torture and kill her. What should I do? |
Question: Is it ok for a guy to attend a baby shower? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 06:26 PM PDT I was invited by my coworker to attend her baby shower for her new baby girl. Is it weird for a guy to attend one of these events? I do want to go and support my friend but just worried that I could look weird. |

Question: Convincing my mom to get me another ferret? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 05:08 PM PDT I'm 17 and a couple months ago my parents let me get my first ferret. At first it was fine and I was able to give her hours of attention every day, but when COVID started I somehow became really busy and can't play with her as much. Now ferrets need to be entertained and played with or they get depressed. While I still play with her for as much time as I possibly can (3-4 hours a day) and she has toys to entertain herself I am extremely worried she is depressed. She is less energetic and just generally seems sad. I want to get her a ferret friend to keep her company (ferrets do better in pairs anyway) but my mom is extremely against it. I have offered to pay for everything for the second ferret myself now that I have a job (my mom chooses to pay for the current ferrets supplies and vet) and pointed out the multiple good reasons to get one. But my mom keeps saying no with the only reason being she doesn't like how ferrets look. I just think it's not fair to me or my ferret that she is saying no just because she doesn't like the look of an animal that stays in my room that she never has to see. All she has to do is allow the second ferret into her house, it would be no extra work or money spent for her. So any tips for convincing her? |
Posted: 02 Jul 2020 03:45 PM PDT Only my mother aunts and the rest on my mom's side of the family love me I have a disability Asperger's and on my father's side of the family they don't want me at all. My grandpa and grandma always hated me and kicked me out and whenever our relatives would come for a visit they always physically attacked me or just didn't want to play with me when i was little... And for some reason everyone blames my mom for my disability I never acted weird or disruptive in any way but was extremely shy because of my Asperger's I know i won't ever date or get a gf or a good paying job but why do they hate me so much and always deny me as their own. |
Question: How can I stop my brother from torturing frogs? ? Posted: 02 Jul 2020 03:27 PM PDT He has problems. REALLY big problems. I mean, his dad abused him, his grandad did, his godfather still does. When he is abused by them, he lashes out at frogs and tortures them to death. I once learned he glued down a toad when his grandfather shoved him violently into a wall and burned it to death as it screamed loudly. Or cuts frogs into tiny pieces as they thrash and try to escape. What can I do? |
