Is it really fact that (some) men enjoy being sexual when in physical pain? (Back problems, dental procedure pain, a blown knee, even when having a cold, things like that. My wife is still on this kick to where she's angry I don't hug her enough. From day one I told her I'm not a huggy, touchy, feely person. I was raised in a large family and even thought there was a lot of laughs and love we didn't just go around hugging just to say hi or good morning. We've been together some 17 years and in our 50s now and you would thought I have never touched her. I am just the type of person who doesn't need a lot of physical touch to feel loved. I have noticed within the last year or so that my husband has been drinking hard alcohol (sneaking it).  He will drink a lot at once before he gets home and try and hide the fact that he is falling over and sloppy.  When he drinks if he doesn't pass out he becomes crabby and confrontational with me and our three teenage kids.  One day in January I confronted him and he pushed me giving me a concussion requiring me to go to the hospital.  He has never been like that before, 23 years of marriage.  My kids told me they never want to be in a relationship or get married because of what they have seen.   My husband's parents were both addicts, his siblings that we know are all alcoholics, his mom and two of his brothers are bi-polar.  I am afraid his mood swings and him turning to alcohol may be a cover-up.    After the hospital incident, he promised me he would stop but he as drank every time I have had to go out in the evening or been away on a trip and has been so blatant to do it when I am around and hoped I wouldn't notice. He doesn't drink every night and will go weeks sober but when he drinks it a whole bottle of hard alcohol and he downs it fast, possibly on his way home from work. Please if you have any experience of knowledge on this please give me some advice.
