Shortly after, she developed a number of conditions that mean I'm now her carer. Feeling pretty burnt out (11 hour work days and keeping the home in one piece don't help with this.) Dates are few and far between. When we have them, we need to keep them short. We still have some physical intimacy but sexual intimacy is now virtually non-existent. I don't resent any of this and I still love her completely. But it feels more like a paternal / protective love and doesn't feel like a romantic one. I feel guilty for saying this but unfortunately it's true. Has anyone had similar experiences? |

What's also weird is that, I've unexpectedly run into her in certain places around the office without realizing she would be there and as soon as she sees me she'll stop her convo and walk away. I'm pretty quiet and can be shy from time to time but I'm friendly and try being that way towards everyone in the work place.
