While I was away she told me she was returning clothes to her ex who she broke up with over a year ago. He had done some bad things to her, ( won't disclose but bad guy). I got a little mad and told her she should just donate the clothes and she should've told me about it beforehand. She wasn't hearin any of that and just didn't care. So we argued for a bit and she basically just disregarded how I felt about it calling me dramatic. She ignored me for a few days. I kept texting saying it's not cool to ignore me since we've been together awhile I don't deserve that, she didn't care, so she's been ignoring me for about a week. Help what should I do? |

But, 3 days later they broke up apparently(didn't know this till like 5 days ago and this happened 3 month ago). Anyway we are at this event kickoff cookout, and like I kind of find her getting near me all night especially when I was playing catch the water balloon with another girl she brought her partner all the way across the field to start right next to me. At the end of the night, I saw her starring at me a fewtimes would be standing right next to me messing with her hair the whole time. And when I was about to leave(we never talked at all during the event) before I get out the door she yells my name and chases me down wanting to talk to me. She says her parents wanted her to come talk to me for some reason(oh btw I've never talked to her before formally. Her mom would always bring her up and ask if I know her. Next week we get into this group circle meeting for leaders of this event. Mentally it has taken a huge toll on him. He doesn't want to talk about what's going on and he goes through phases on where he's very intensive and motivated and happy working towards his goals. The fun loving happy guy I fell in love with years ago. But just as quickly as he enters those phases he'll turn straight around and hide and be in a very dark place about whatever it is he's thinking about. He'll just disappear on me and go silent on his end. I get it he needs space at times but it worries me. I don't think he'll ever commit suicide and I really don't think he's that bad. But I do worry about his mental health. I don't know what to say or what to do to help him. The other week I texted him a simple text of just good morning and wishing him a great day at work. Then continued on telling him that I'm really proud of him with everything that he's been doing. I told him that when he was in a dark phase and that seemed to snap him out of it for a couple of weeks. He told me that he was happy to hear that and that he knows he isn't alone and that there are people around him who loce and cares for him yet he feels all alone and it's the loneliness he's ever felt. And it really breaks my heart seeing him like this. I cry all the time because I don't know what to do to help. I love him so much and he's my best friend. Any people out there that's been on deployment that have advice on how I can help? |

I notice that even with girls I have fantastic long interactions with, when I text them, to set up our date, they don't respond. Even in my texting, I don't say anything too needy or approval seeking. Simple and fun texts like : "hey Jen from the park with the lovely striped shirt, was great talking to you today. Let's grab a coffee this week" I've talked to probably 80 women, and out of the 15 that have given me their numbers, the same thing has happened.
