I mostly hang out with some boys, the little kids or the high schoolers. These girls are drama overload, they always have a problem. But my mom thinks I have NO friends when I have better and more fun ones. She keeps urging me to talk to them and wants me to fit in by taking part in the same interests. I tell her that they don't like me, they're dramatic and obnoxious at the top level. They're impossible and act like they are smarter too. Its clear that they're pretty snobby and full of it.

My best guy friend has been asking me lately where I've been when we're not together. He just messaged me earlier and asked if I would be sleeping alone this weekend. He never used to do that. Are these signs that's he starting to like me as more than his best friend? I want to ask him about it, but I'm not sure if I'm just looking into it too much.

I havr a few very close best friends, a few of which are male. This particular male friend is one of my best, were very close. Nothing has ever been remotely flirtatious between us and We both have significant others. After a very drunk night out with friends we all went back to my house. The others left except jake* . We were in a deep convo about his girlfriend issue, absolutely no flirting was taking place, I was very drunk and sleepy and very stupidly told him he could stay over. I didn't care if he stayed in my large bed I've had many friends stay before that I've trusted and nothing has happened. I know, stupid. We both fell asleep except for me going out to get sick a few times during the night.i was wasted. Then in the morning I woke up to feel my tight tracksuit pants waistband snap against my tummy and groggily opened my eyes to see my friend fumbling desperarely at my pants. Thankfully they were tight and hard to get under. Thankfully I woke and just turned the other way and nothing further occurred. I confronted him over text the next day as my bf urged me to. He said he didn't remember but apologised profusely. I don't want to lose him as a friend but I feel so creeped. What should I do ? Did I lead him on ? Can I ever trust him and be friends again

I have 2 friends who are girls. Strictly just friends. Ive known one of them since we were in diapers. The other I met in College. I really like both of them, it's just kind of hard to maintain our friendship. My friend I've known since we were in diapers, she recently got a boyfriend and he's very overprotective. I hug her often, and sometimes kiss her on the cheek. He sent me a Facebook message and told me to "keep some distance" from my friend and don't hug/kiss her because I made him uncomfortable... that makes him uncomfortable.. but it makes me uncomfortable I can't hug and kiss my friend I've known for years... Is it impossible to be friends with a woman?

I just got promoted at my job that I've been at for a year, it's a big step in my life and my career. Me and my friend, we both went to college and graduated college. I, however, am the only one that successfully got a job/career using my degree right out of college while they are still at their deadend job that doesn't use their degree. I sent them a message, explaining my exciting news, but they read it and didn't respond nor did they congratulate me. Are they jealous or what is their deal? I think it's pretty rude of them and not sure if I want to continue being their friend any longer. they've always been a terrible friend to me anyways. oh well. and please, do tell me how i'm bragging? i'm sharing news....

I'm a guy, 21. Don't normally get along with kids, usually hang with friends at college. But I met this girl. (I'll call her Jen) who does yoga at the studio where I work as a receptionist. We ended up talking one day when she was waiting for a ride home and really connected. Long story short, her Mom asked if I was interested in a babysitting, I said sure. Jen and I share interests and inside jokes and she always seems to brighten up when I'm around - which I really notice because she has depression. She gets bullied at school because she looks closer to sixteen. "You try being 5'4 with D cups in seventh grade." Yeah, she doesn't really mind talking to me about stuff like that. I always try to sympathize even if I can't related. Sometimes she falls asleep on my shoulder or sits in my lap or snap-chats me into early hours. I don't think she has a crush on me, but I know I'm one of her closest guy-friends now. Sometimes she'll come downstairs in her towel, or ask me what I think of certain outfits. But is it weird or creepy to have a friend or close friend who's younger? Like, twelve years old? It's pretty much the exception not the rule for me, most of my friends are early twenties. What's the deal with Jen anyway? Any advice?

So I'll try to keep this short, if I went into the full story it would be way to long. I never really had friends & was always sad. At about 14, I discovered alcohol and weed. I began to make new friends everyday, plus the alcohol & weed numbed me from my sadness so I thought I was happy. Until I stopped doing those things, & lost everyone but my best friend and family. And a couple friends id hang out with once in a while. But eventually my best friend moved on, and all my other friends stopped answering me as well. I went into a long period of being very depressed, even turning to self harm. I met my boyfriend and he made me feel a happiness I never felt, until one day he began to emtionally abuse me. Emotional turned into physical. I couldn't leave him even though I knew he wanted me to, he told me everyday to leave and that he hates me. But he was all I had left, I made him my whole world. I was lost without him. Eventually he found a new girlfriend and left me. I had to move back in with my parents, who now at 20 y.o are kicking me out of the house because I don't have a job and haven't had one for over a year. I am so depressed and suicidal I can't even get out of bed. They know this but said I was lying and using it as an excuse to be lazy. I don't know what to do. I don't want to die but my life is literally falling to pieces, I just want the pain to stop. I cry everyday. I cut myself. I never talk to anyone. I will be on the streets in 2 weeks. Please someone help me

What things would you see in friends that aren't compatible? Like for example I know lots of people who have different interests but are still great friends and then others who have a ton in common but just do not click and I've always wondered why? I had a friend lately who we seemed to get along great initially but then realized we had different expectations when it came to friends such as interaction and investment. With all that said one ended up feeling hurt and more invested. Was curious why this happens?

Been at this place for 6 weeks it's ok it's very boring... the people aren't the nicest and I'm just sick of it tbh. I thought after 6 weeks I'd finish but I've got another 6 weeks.... I really don't want to do it anymore but I don't know if I tell college or not because they might force me to go. I went to a waterfall with this girl I have a crush on and our mutual friend came along, the whole time hiking my crush would tease me, she'd stay close by to me when walking on the trail she'd basically stand next to me talking to me and not our mutual friend. I always made her laugh and she made me laugh we just had a lot of fun the signs were great from her, our mutual friend even said she was 3rd wheeling with us the whole time. And on the car ride back home my crush would talk a lot and say annoying stuff so I put tape on her mouth and she even let me she didn't say no to the tape, and she also played a sex song on the radio and 20min after the song ended she made noises that sounded like she was choking and I said "chocking on dick" and she continued to make the noise after I said that and she said "spit or swallow" and I said "spitters are for quitters" is she interested??

My mom wont let go outside, Get any social media (I made this yahoo account behind her back), Talk to friends and even play most video game all because she believes that everyone that s isn t her, My dad/brothers or her friends are kidnappers,pedos,rapist or all of the above. She banned fornite and overwatch because she thinks because of the mic option that someone is going to hear my voice and then hack there way into finding my address so they could kidnap/rape me. Im not aloud outside because she think the people who work on are lawn are going to rape me. I can t go to my friends houses because she thinks i m going to get assaulted by the dad. So I have two great friends, lets call them Jake and Sarah. the there is another person ill call her Julia. me and her aren't that good of friends yet. Jake is my best friend/crush. he knows I like him and when I told him he said he liked me back but he has a gf (I didn't know about that until then.) so we just continued being friends. Sarah is another good friends of mine and she likes girls. her and Julia are in a relationship. then I found out who jakes gf is and it Julia. they are both with the same person. I'm the only one that knows and I don't want to hurt Jake or Sarah I cant tell them. Sarah is suicidal and said the only reason she hasn't ended it is because of me and Julia. I feel bad for Julia though because her reason isn't that bad she's in a hard situation rn. I called her out on it and she said how she only liked Sarah as a friend and Sarah wanted to be more and she couldn't break up with her cause she didn't want to hurt her. its kind of a hard situation and idk if I should step in and do something or just stay out of it idk. My close friend happens to be my neighbor. She owns a boxer dog and he always comes over to our house. We have a fence between her house and mine, but he dug a hole under the fence and made his way in. We own a cat who likes to sit on the porch and this dog has came on to our porch and bit my cat multiple times. He also ran through my flower garden and trampled through it ruining everything. I told my friend multiple times that he needs to be on a leash or monitored because this is becoming a problem. She blew it off as no big deal saying "He would never hurt your cat, he just wants to play" and that he would never ruin my garden. Well fast forward to today, my cat was again sitting on a chair on our porch and he came over and bit her again. My cat ended up scratching his nose a few times and the dog ran back home. My friend came outside and saw her dog had cuts from all the scratches. When I saw her come outside I went over to the fence and said "Hey I don't want to be mean but I can't take this anymore. He keeps attacking my cat and he's coming over every other day it seems like. Please do something about this" She got mad at me saying "Look he has cuts all over his face! If anything, you're going to be in trouble for letting your cat hurt my dog!" What should I do? She's threatening me saying if I call animal control she will say my cat hurt her dog (Which is dumb because he's coming our to MY house and my cat is defending himself) Should I call animal control on her?

I just moved in with a roommate I did not get to choose, it s just the two of us for the summer and she s gone half of the time. But already I m seeing the red flags of her being inconsiderate. She does things such as not washing her dishes, or anything else and is excessively loud. Like right now, even after I told her I was going to bed and I wasn t feeling well she brought home several people and is cranking the music. What do I say or do to handle this situation? I m also pretty afraid of conflict so I m not sure what to do here.

So my best friend is 22, he has had one job working at dunkin donuts for a summer and then he quit. A few years later he got a job at an insurance company and was fired a week later. He's been on and off of school, still doesn't even have an associates. He just spends his days chilling at home, going to the gym. He visits another mutual bestfriends job every night, just to hang out and talk. He's been doing this for a few years now. His parents must support him and give him money, they bought him a brand new 2017 car. I don't know how he manages to be 22 and not have a single source of income. Half of me is very angry and "jealous" I guess? I'm not truly jealous because he's a loser, but he has a brand new car and doesn't have to lift a finger. Meanwhile I'm taking public transit and have worked my *** off through college. The other half of me is really worried about him, he's really smart and a great person, I would trust him with my life and I feel like I should speak up. I don't want to come off as arrogant or an asshole, but he needs to do something with his ******* life. What are your opinions?

Title. Either I have a bunch of fake friends who only use me, or I have none at all. And when I try to make friends, they never seem interested, or we never seem to click. My wife plays guitar in a band they're doing a concert on Monday they do one every holiday except Christmas and Thanksgiving. She looked at the set list for it they're gon a sing Chain Of Love by Clay Walker they have they're own songs too but they like to sing other bands and singers songs they sing anything from 90's country to 80's rock shes worried she might cry when they sing it. That song made her cry the first time she heard it when she was a kid. She doesn't know how to tell the lead singer she doesn't want to sing it. She said she cries like a baby when she hears that song she's not sure she can sing it it's gonna be their first time singing it. She can't even listen to it without crying. She wants to know if it's ok to cry ? Also how can I make her feel better ?

My new friend invited me to his graduation party, but I'm drawing a blank for what to get him. I'd like to give him a gift because it's more personable than just a card with money, but he doesn't seem to have too many interests that he's overly passionate about. He doesn't really have a favorite sports team or band or anything like that, that I know of. What are some general gifts I can get that also seem thoughtful?

I'm not a very sociable person since I'm from a strict religious family and can't meet people often because of parents so the only people I made friends through was school. Now school is over and I'm in my last year of university, two close friends of mine broke all ties with me for petty reasons. One of them on november last year and the second one recently, they told me to "move on" it hurts me because I did so much for these girls and raised them like my own sisters and now they have other people they kicked me to the curb. It's humiliating because they both have many friends since they're loud people but I'm very quiet and it takes me years to build a bond with someone. It feels like a breakup and all I do is cry. I met with one of my students for math tutoring and she was wearing a diamond ring and I asked her if her boyfriend proposed, how and when. She looked uncomfortable with my question. Do you think my questions were personal? I have not seen her for a while. She is in her early twenties and I tutored her for 2 months and then we had 2 months break and now I am back to tutoring her. Were my questions out of line?

My friend doesn't have a job, and has massive debt(100K+) from college with no degree. She just spent her inheritance money and now is depressed she doesn't have any more money. She doesn't work a normal job but instead makes some money online (not enough to pay the bills). The few family members don't seem to talk to her about this and no other friend will confront her. Is it my place as a friend who wishes the best to say something? What is the best action for a situation with wanting to help friends.
