There s only very few people I feel comfortable hugging: my closest friends. But some of my other friends also hug me cuz they dont know this. Just to be clear: I don t hug THEM, THEY hug ME. I wanna let them know that I only hug certain people (aka, my closest friends) but I don t wana be rude considering that they ve been doing this a while now. How do I get people 2 stop hugging me?

So my bus driver has these like two main rules 1. no opposite gender can sit together 2. u have to be in ur "assigned seat" so i always move to sit w my one gUY friend, but we're in diff seats and she always yells at me being like "u have to be in ur assigned seat" and so today i just sat on the floor so she couldn't see me and when he got off i moved back to my seat making sure she couldn't see me and my friend said she couldn't see me but she i got off the bus she was like "ur getting a referral" but i won't be here the rest of the week sooo 1. is she gonna remmeber? and 2. what does a bus referral do/mean? I am 21 years old. I have never had a best friend. I've realized since about 13 years old that I was not good at making friends and had no close friends, only acquaintances. I feel lonely. I think about it all the time. I've had one-sided friendships where I thought we were besties (in my mind) but we were not. I've always been the last-pick friend not the first-pick. It seems to be harder to make friends as you get older. How to get a friend group and a bestie at 21? Any Tips?

my close friend is changing and turning into a new person. she's become someone i don't think i want to be friends with. she is lying and cheating in her relationships and blames the other person, and the old her knew that stuff was wrong. she's been sleeping with several people and jumping person to person, smoking weed everyday and always wanting to get drunk. she's become very reckless and she's not even 18 yet...i'm afraid i don't want to be her friend anymore but maybe i'm wrong for feeling this way..you tell me?

It all started when I joined this all women's dance studio & the instructors weren't too friendly towards me & only talked to me when it was concerning the class, but they made friends with other women. There was one girl in particular that everyone liked. I got jealous & I whined to reddit about it. While I got some well deserved criticism from Reddit for stooping down to a bad level & being jealous, what really bothered me was some of them were bashing me because I was (understandably) insecure about being a social reject & wanting to change to fit in. That rubbed me the wrong way. What's wrong with that? Since my childhood, a lot of people disliked me for being a weird & ugly female & I was bullied for it. People even made judgements about me without knowing me & didn't want friendships with me. Even in adulthood, making friends is difficult. Because I wanted to change to fit in, I'm a bad guy for that? Mind you, this was a year later & I should have moved on. I think the reason why I'm still on this a year later at age 25 is because I am still insecure with the way I act & I am so desperate to change so I can stop making people hate me & finally have friends. Hi all, I've been having a hard time ever since i started high school. I'm an extreme introvert and its hard for me to make friends so when I went to high school and left all my best friends at different schools, it was really hard. I've become more depressed and everything got a lot harder as the years went on. I'm not the type of person to connect with people much but I generally have a small group of friends I would trust with my life. Since everything is a lot harder I've only really made two friends that I actually have bonded with. One of them moved away last year and the other is moving away in a few months. Any advice on how to deal with this? Thanks

So recently my friend, since middle school, has stopped talking to me and the rest of our friend group. Nothing has really changed in our friendship, but she started acting rude towards us then eventually started ignoring us completly. She wont even eat lunch with us and my other friend even said she saw her eating with some other people. Im wondering if i should just accept that she doesnt want to talk with us anymore or should i talk to her and see why shes done this?

So I was so close to those two women I treated them like sisters and friends. They helped me a lot to get the job once I got it they turned on me in the rudest way possible. One of them when she saw me coming back after months she did not say hi she said well how many jobs did u get? she was upset and clearly thought i did not deserve it she said i was just being lucky she was rude looking down on me and tied to make me feel stupid. I pointed that to her so she wrote an email to the manager and supervisor saying I am not working and i should be fired. the other woman pushed me from doing my job and kept calling the manager saying that i am not a qualified employee and she is the only one working. i complained about them to the educator of the department and she asked them to leave me alone to do my job. they stopped talking to me and kept telling anyone i work with not to help me people stopped answering my questions. and left me doing everything without training. since its part time job i get chance to leave and come back when needed by the department. once i left the second woman came and pretended to be nice and asked me to keep in touch with her to tell her about my plans. i knew she wasn't a friend so i said ok. once i walked away i blocked both of them. im pretty sure they made a scene and told everybody. i texted people at the department to send to me available shifts so i can come back they ignored my texts. Why people are pissed off with me????

I was eating lunch and I was also on the phone with a friend and we were talking about stuff, and well, my crush doesn't really know that I am very talkative and loud so me and my friend usually have loud conversations and we we're dropping f bombs. Well I was still talking on the phone and my crush walked in and he was facing me and listening to me talk to my friend and I couldn't hang up cause my friend was still blabbing and then I dropped an f bomb and I didn't see my crush's reaction but I feel like I made a fool out of myself. I shouldn't have stayed in the room but i panicked. I really think it's weird to curse around your crush. He's never heard me talk and curse like that before oh god, I am so embarrassed. :( I feel like he finds me weird or something. Do you think it's a big turn off if a girl curses? Now I feel like he is never going to speak to me again. I regret this deeply. I can't stop cringing ughhh. Help me.

This is the situation and on top of that i am picky about who i spend any time with and also i am very much a loner who seems to live being by myself (especially rather than being with superficial friends and having meaningless or trendy conversation). I have morals as well which puts me at odds with a lot of people of all ages. I also am very emotional and sensitive and think i can pick up on others emotions easily. My goal is to be married one day.

My best friend of nine years hasn t been talking to me anymore (call her Sarah). From the start of 8th grade, she s always with this other girl (call her Annie). See, Sarah and I have been doing everything together from the day we met to I guess before school started. Now, she and Annie have been doing everything together. I have other people, but I just been so used to doing stuff with Sarah. Now, I feel because of this, it all just melted away.
