Question: How do I stop this envy inside me!? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 04:54 PM PDT Ever since I began befriending this male friend, we have gotten closer over the years to the point we told each other we liked each other. He told me he would wait for me; however, we are so shy, so we are sometimes distant. It hurts me because I'm falling in love with him, and it's overwhelming. He's currently at the University, so I don't see him as much as I would like. Whenever he comes to visit, we try to spend time together, but there have been times I've been unable to. Recently, his mother, a few wives from church, and I went to go to a play. I thought he would be there, but he texted me telling me he was just going to drop off the tickets for us. I was devastated because I missed him so much. I was verbal about it with his mother. I told her why he wouldn't come along with us. When I said this all the women there just stared at me like I was some weirdo, and my sister said I was overdoing it. I had this anger in my heart towards all of them because I knew they didn't understand. Some of the women are pregnant so they obviously spend a lot of time with their husbands. There's this envy that's building and it's hard to hide it sometimes because they get to be with their husbands while I am distant with my "close friend". When those women looked at me like that...I was hurt and angry. How should I overcome this envy? And what should I say to the wives at church who react like this way to me? This happens a lot. :( |
Posted: 09 Apr 2016 04:46 PM PDT My teacher is very disrespectful to me and my friends and I've had enough of her doing that she twists everything making me and my friends look bad I keep my mouth shut , I told someone for instance the VP and head principal of my school and school counselors they did nothing and I said nothing to get the teacher to be disrespectful to me . Should I cuss her out at the last day of school if she starts with me? |
Posted: 09 Apr 2016 04:45 PM PDT The person I was dating had an emotional break down when I broke up with him, and he tried to kill himself. My mom and step-dad got in a fight and he killed himself. My father was abusive. My best friend treats me like a dog. My mom is an alcoholic. All my other friends acts like I'm some bridge they can burn anytime. One of my friends parents are both drug addicts. So tell me what's the point of having any friends at all when none of them act like you're a respectable person, let alone a human being? What's the point of dating if they try to kill them self if you don't feel the same way? What's the point of even living if you're impossible to love? |
Question: Friends think I'm cooler than I actually am? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 04:40 PM PDT I just met them a few months ago and around them I act all cool on purpose. I even lied about having sex before. Will they ever find out? Almost forgot, Today they invited me over to hang out and I said I was busy because I was going to a party just to seem like I have better things to do. |
Question: I can t stand my college best friend? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 04:10 PM PDT I m a freshman in college, and I ve been "best friends" with my roommate since the beginning of the year. But for a long time, her presence has just annoyed the crap out of me. We re actually really close (we talk about everything) and she doesn t do anything directly wrong to me which is why I m so confused as to why I m feeling this way. She s weirdly polite to me and I hate it when she pops her head into my room to say hi or hugs me when she goes to bed. I have to resist the urge to push her away! She constantly refers to me as her best friend and it makes me really uncomfortable. Sometimes she comes and sits on my bed and alll I want to do is get rid of her. Her stories and conversations are often uninteresting to me, and she doesn t make me laugh the way my best friends at home do. I am truly close to and love my best friends from home, who I ve known for my entire life. I feel like I constantly compare them to my friend at college which is really unfair. I m afraid my feelings are really unhealthy towards this poor girl. She loves me soo much as a friend but the more she expresses it the more I want to push her away, and I just can t keep up the facade. I m so moody and distant around her sometimes and though the last thing I want to do is hurt her I can t really help it. Am I a horrible person?? I can t be alone in this feeling, right? I m terrified that I have intimacy issues because I tend to push people away the second I feel that we re getting close. |

Question: How to make peace with your past? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 03:15 PM PDT I am 21 years old, I have a great family and I consider my life pretty good, which I am thankful for every day, always have. In some of my high school years, 11th grade, 12th grade, and also my 1st year of college, I hung out with the completely wrong crowd, ungrateful, egotistic, show offs, judgmental, followers, small minded people. I was never any of that, I have always been a quiet person who never followed the crowd. Thankfully I don't hang with those people anymore, I now only hang out with my closest friends, who share common traits with me, and we could always count on each other. I am happy I removed toxic people in my life, but now when I think of those few years, I think of the people I chilled with, which brings bad memories, I had great memories with my family, but not with the people I hung with. I just felt like those few years I was held back by those idiots, I could've been doing such better stuff, but I guess I truly learned the value of time, who you spend it with, and to keep your circle small. Did anybody else have this kind of problem? How do you just make peace with your past and move on from those stupid memories? |
Question: Should I ask this girl to entertain me more on Facebook? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 02:59 PM PDT I'm bored if I'm not talking to this girl on Facebook. This girl I was barely friends with in high school recently added me and I started talking with her but she's not on messenger as much as I am. When she is, we have a great time chatting, but we aren't always talking at the same time. All we've done is debate on the existence of God, which is enjoyable. I want to tell her "I'm bored on Facebook without her," but I don't know if I should do that. What do you think? We didn't talk to each other in high school at all, so I don't know why she added me. I'm afraid to ask her why she added me because then she might be defensive and say "because I felt like it! Gosh!" Then we might not talk as much. |
Question: How to convince my dad to let me go on a walk? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 02:54 PM PDT so later tonight, my step mom and her friends will be over for a bachelorette party. I want to walk down to the Fred Meyer (17 minutes away from our house) but so far none of my friends can go. can I say I m going to meet a friend there? I m not going to do anything bad down there, just buy some makeup. what do I do? |
Question: Difficult Co-worker.? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 02:52 PM PDT I got promoted to a new role and tbh I didn t even want it. What happened was they needed someone to fulfill the role and I was best fit. I got a few more days before I quit and head to greener pastures, however, there s a couple of people who want to drag me down and for some reason annoy me to the point I fight them. This happened a lot when I was at school. I would go through the year fine until there s one asshole who wants to **** with me. I ignored it but most of the time I gave in and fought if it became too much. And that s how I solved it. I would get suspended but they stopped bothering me. This time, as an adult, fighting back means going to jail. My job forces me to interact with these people. What s the best way of overcoming this. |
Question: HELP! 11 YEAR OLD WITH 'IMAGINARY' FRIEND IS FREAKING ME OUT? Question: I'm wasting my teenage years.? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 02:21 PM PDT I'm 15 years old and just moved to a new high-school, I also suffer from severe social anxiety. At my old school I wasn't popular but I had a group of friends I could be myself with, when I'm with my family or life long friends I'm the funniest out of all of them I love to take risks and I'm more adventurous than all of them... But in my new school I'm been there for nearly a year, I have people I stand with but I literally stand there I don't talk unless someone talks to me I feel bad for being a burden on them because they were asked to 'look' after me on my first days. I really just hate school I have no close friends I sit in every weekend, we just have spring break and I sat in myself the whole time. I wish I was more confident I try but I'm so self conscious and worry about everything. My life sucks. |

Question: I'm getting fed up with having classmates full of ghetto, trashy, and ignorant slackers? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 02:10 PM PDT Hello, I'm a 15 year old boy and I'm full of classes with people that are low lives. They fail all there classes while I'm easily making the honor roll. I don't understand why they like to keep failing at school to end up right where they already are at as far as financial status goes. I'm in a ghetto suburb with people of all different ethnics, some being trashy and some being ghetto slang. The reason why I'm asking this question is that I can't make any friends or relate to anyone because they're just ghetto and the complete opposite of what I am and want to do later in life. So how can I ignore this without them starting to bother me and saying stuff to annoy me? |

Question: Is there still hope for my social life? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 01:38 PM PDT I'm 18 and I don't have friends in my city, I go to school in this other city and have two classmates with who I often go for a coffee after school or sometimes they come in my city or I go in theirs... Btw, they're both from different cities and travelling is expensive.. We'll get driving licenses soon, do you think my life will get better when I will be able to go to their cities when ever I want and go out with them late night, meet new friends? Is that a good social life? |
Question: I catfished someone and feel terrible about it, even after a year.? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 01:36 PM PDT Okay so around last year I had major problems with loving myself and I wanted to feel important so I catfished someone and I suddenly felt important. Well I catfished this person and they hated me afterwards and we just stopped talking. Well before we stopped talking I made up a fake friend of the person I was pretending to be, and that fake friend was my true identity. I sent the person maybe four selfies and now I want to be an actress one day. But I keep thinking that if i become an actress the person I catfished will recognize me. Also, since I still feel terrible, is there anything else I can do? It make things right again? I know what I did was beyond awful and I feel absolutely disgusted with myself so could someone please help me? |
Posted: 09 Apr 2016 01:33 PM PDT I don't talk to anyone at my school mostly because they're annoying but even when I want to talk to someone I get scared. When I'm in a group with my friends I like talking sometimes but I mostly like to listen to what they're saying. When I'm in a group with people I don't really know they always say I'm quiet and tell me to talk but I don't really have anything to say id rather listen. I just don't want to end up like one of those people that talks about bullshit just so there isn't awkward silence. And sometimes the only time I talk is when I have something important to say or when I like the conversation subject. |

Question: Girls only! My guy friend said he thinks that girls complain too much about there period.? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 01:12 PM PDT Girls only! Question: I need advice about an argument I had with my best friend? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 01:11 PM PDT So, today, I ran into some people who had some really nasty things to say to and about me. My best guy friend was there, and I was waiting for him to say something on my behalf and to defend me, instead he said absolutely nothing and made me look like a complete idiot! Afterwards, when he and I were alone, I totally lashed out on him and chewed him off, but he brushed the entire thing off by saying that I am too feisty and aggressive and that I am always looking for a fight. I responded by telling him I didn't know why I expected him to defend me, when he couldn't even defend himself, and I also called him a punk. I'm upset because I feel like it is his responsibility as my best friend to defend me and have my back at all times! Advice? |

Question: Am I insecure if my girlfriend hangs out with someone I used to be best friends with? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 01:03 PM PDT My former best friend, my girlfriend and I all used to be really close together as a group. But one day my best friend called me to buy his friend alcohol who I don't even know. When I declined, he became irrational to the point where we burned bridges, even to the point where he gave me a gift and demanded the money back persistently. He lost my respect and my trust. We're no longer best friends anymore and my girlfriend knows about this. But she still sees him behind my back and it bothers me. I feel that I should talk to her that hanging out with my former best friend would upset me, but I know that she would say that he is still her friend and that she would still hang out with him. Am I just insecure about my girlfriend being able to hang out with him? Or do I have any right to feel this way? |

Question: How do I deal with a friend who constantly tries to push my buttons? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 12:55 PM PDT After thinking about it, she always tries to make me angry just out of a normal conversation. For example, I'm out of town to meet my family and she invited me to a movie night with some friends. I politely declined, stating why I physically cannot be there. She replied "I guess you just don't care about your friend anymore, but it's ok". I finally realize that she gets the pleasure from making other people feel like crap and upset about themselves, guilting them into thinking that they did something wrong regardless of the situation. The negative energy really brought me down and made me frustrated. I did bring this up to her many times but she always tries to instigate crap out of nowhere and push my buttons from nothing. Is it time to call this unhealthy friendship off? |
Question: My friends kicked me out!? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 12:40 PM PDT So, I have been friends with these 4 girls since the beginning of the school year. This girl Raven (not her real name) and I became good friends in the 6th grade. I felt like I could always come to her if I needed to talk to somebody. When I got to 7th grade all of my friends had moved away. so I joined her group. Their are 3 other girls Selena, Hannah, and Jasmin (not their real names). Selena and Jasmin are 7th graders, and Hannah is an 8th grader. Hannah and Raven are cousins. It all started out really fun, going to Ravens parties and just having a great time together. A couple of months later, Raven started to become controlling about the group Hannah, Selena, and Jasmin follow her around like puppies, wearing what she wears, doing what she does , EVEN EATING WHAT SHE EATS. I don't like being bossed around by anyone, so when I didn't dress like them or act like them, they would get an attitude with me. We were at lunch. and Jasmin pulls me aside and tells me that the rest of the group doesn't like me and they never wanted me in the group. She said they all want me out. Jasmin was smiling. She seemed happy. I was not. I told her to go **** herself. I quickly regretted saying that to her. All the things I had bought them for Christmas. All the money I had spent getting Selena presents for her birthday. All the time I had spent talking Hannah out of suicide? How could they do this to me? |
Question: Is it ok for a married man to have friends with single women? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 12:32 PM PDT I'm trying to figure out what is appropriate and what is not appropriate. I've never been married. A guy I dated for a few months years ago recently contacted me on facebook. We've messaged back and forth just catching up a little about life. It's been over 5 years since I've seen him. Turns out he's married, has children, his wife is ill possibly terminal-he didn't say whether she was going to be ok or not. He is struggling a bit with childcare. I tried to end the conversation a couple times like well good luck with everything! but he would then ask me another question. He has not said anything about seeing me or anything inappropriate at all-it's been just like any two friends would talk but I'm wondering if it's inappropriate to talk to him at all. any thoughts? |

Question: My teenaged son has no social life. Should I be concerned about his choices? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 11:40 AM PDT My son is in the 11th grade. Hes a standout athlete at track, football and wrestling. Hes a good looking kid, but not very sociable. He doesnt have very many friends. He chooses to workout, train, and read. His only friends are his fellow cadets and he once had a girlfriend who complained about the amount of time he trained and now hang out with her. My son wishes to be in some kind of special forces after school, so hes been working hard. Should I be nervous about his lifestyle? I want him to go out and have fun, but he says hes having fun and not lonely at all. He is always intense. |
Question: How to become better friends with people? So, I try and help her over text best I can. She's trying to find a restaurant to go to, and remember the name of one she forgot. So I google earthed the **** out of it, sent her multiple locations that fit the piece, sent her restaurant ideas, etc. Read all of it, then when I asked her if thats it, hows that etc, doesn't reply. Question: Can you give me ideas for my girls' night in? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 10:59 AM PDT In a couple months, two of my best friends from high school will be staying the night with me for a long overdue ladies night (I haven't seen either of them in going on two years). In addition to drinking tons of wine, stuffing our faces, and watching movies/playing video games, what are some simple, easy, fun ideas to spend the weekend? Info about us: - We're not the girly type (guess we sort of fell into the emo outcast group in high school) - We're now in our mid-twenties - We LOVE wine - We LOVE *NSYNC - One of my friends is an amazing cook and make up artist; the other is a hilarious mother to a two year old boy; I'm a stunt woman and video editor (we usually make short silly movies when we hang out) Thanks! |
Question: Bestfriends Roommate? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 10:58 AM PDT Ive been bestfriends with my girl for about 6 years, and she has lived alone. I would come over all the time and stay the night and have fun sleepovers. (18 btw) In the past year or so she has gotten a male roommate who is practically living with her and her mother for FREE. I didnt even know this person and she turned all of her attention twoards him and away from me. Im a pretty jealous person and it gets to where i dont even want to hang out with her anymore. This has happened many times with diffrent friends in the past, and its either because they have gotten boyfriends or they have replaced me with another person. Im pretty awkward as it is around people anyways, and i dont know what to do. She also has a boyfriend who comes over and they just suck on eachothers faces all the time, it makes me really uncomfortable xD. Ech thanks~ |

Question: My bestfriend and I pulled a mean prank? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 10:14 AM PDT We are both girls. 13. About a month ago, my friend and I became "friends" with this girl at our school no one likes. She has suffered with a weight problem thats medical. So I reached out to her to help her because she was in the hospital and stuff, and I told her she was pretty and to not worry about her size. But I didn't really like her because she is sort of annoying. But we were nice. One day I was over at my bestfriends house and we decided to pull a friendly prank on her but just prank calling her, because we prank call a lot our other friends and they always think it's funny. Well we called saying that we were a guy who liked her and she asked for the boys Kik so we made up one. Basically it got to the point where they were like in love. Oh by the way I said he was my cousin. She wanted a video of him but I told her he was camera shy, so I took a video of me talking to "him" and my bestfriend responded in a boy voice.. We didn't expect it to work but it did. And it started getting out of hand and I realized what we were doing was so mean so I told her it was us and we apologized a million times and she accepted it. Well, yesterday, 3 of my other bestfriends were on YouTube and they searched her name up and there was a video of me.. The video that I sent her.. On YouTube. My bestfriends sent it to me and told me what I did was rude and I was so embarrassed. She posted it on YouTube without my consent. And I'm a nice person, so I'm so mad at myself. What do you think? |

Question: All my friends do is get drunk and high? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 09:28 AM PDT All my friends do anymore is high. I am a 17 year old guy and am an athlete and would rather not do those things. Since that now that is mostly all they do anymore I get invited to things less and less because I don t smoke weed. I don t want to do it, but am really considering it because if I don t do it I fear I will have no friends anymore. If I had to make new friends I would have to idea where to make new ones. And if I met a new friend I wouldn t know how to get in their friend group. What should I do? Should I just start smoking weed with them? Or should I do something else? Thanks |

Question: How do I piss someone off (with words?)? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 09:20 AM PDT So on Instagram my internet friend said "let's play a game called piss the owner off. You only get 1 comment" so I want to do something that's good, but I don't want to hurt her feelings by saying she's ugly or talking about her family in a bad way because that's just being rude. |

Question: I'm not allowed to hang out with my friend anymore? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 08:42 AM PDT We used to be super best friends but then she started changing. She's a pretty scandalous person and does stuff behind her parents back. She doesn't care about school and all she cares about is guys. She also is very vulgar. I never do anything she does but my family thinks she's gonna influence me into becoming that. Now i'm not allowed to hang out with her. Are they right and should I drop the friendship? Or are they overreacting? |
Question: I JUST PEED MYSELF HELP ASAP? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 08:25 AM PDT Due to distance and cost, they're not expecting family to fly in for the event. Even the person turning 40 can't afford anything " extravagant " and like mentioned above, typically less than 10 people have been there for them in past years .. Worth nothing is few of the friends they've known in college are from this area - therefore won't be able to attend. But in spite of all that, 40 is worth celebrating right .. |

Question: Difference between special friend and best friend? Posted: 09 Apr 2016 07:59 AM PDT Not as in a boyfriend/girlfriend (romantic way), but one of my friends (we're both females) a few times has said, "You're really special". And a few months ago she said, "I hope we stay friends for a long time". She has come to me when she's going through a hard time, hw favors/help, and then a few weeks ago, she told me, "I really appreciate having a friend like you. I love you, you are always so kind and always know exactly what to say when I need it most". We don't really hang out outside of school, and she's really busy (work, school, family, her best friend and best friend's close friend), although we do txt at least 2/week and we've video chatted. We also hug at least 2-3/day at school and she's really nice and kind to my best friend as well (my other friends are really mean to my best friend). It's almost like she and I have a secret bond. What is a special friend or when someone calls you special? Is there a difference between best friend? Thank you (: |
