Alright so, a couple months ago I started dating this girl, and we had a bond for a long time but she didn't wanna be officially together because she wanted to make sure she was mentally healthy enough for a relationship (She had been seriously abused in her previous one). When she was finally ready to be my official girlfriend, it got serious pretty quick. So last week I had her meet my parents. I should mention that I am first generation Asian, and she is white. My father was 100 percent okay with it, he loves her. However, my mother immediately disliked her due to her skin color. My father told me today that he is divorcing my mother. He says that ever since they moved to America (when I was 12, I am now 28) that he was very happy with the way people loved one another, the mixing of cultures, etc. My mother however, hated it. More and more he saw how bitter she was. The last straw for him was seeing how she immediately rejected my girlfriend due to the color of her skin. I know that because my parents were married more to unite two families (I've heard) than for love, and my mother has always been a bit abusive towards him, but I cannot help but feel like this is my fault. :( I don't blame my girlfriend but maybe I shouldn't have introduced her to my mother.

well people say deal with your problems to solve it rather than running away from it. The problem is these problems are caused by external factors. Such as why the economy in my country always bad and all the political issues we have right here. it's been going on for a long time! Causing a very unstable condition for everybody. The place where I live is chaos. Do not even mention the people here. Worse than the condition.... if I move to another country, am i running from my problems?

A father marry a deceitful woman with twin daughters trying to take over business

My family lived in the same house for 18 years. Our neighbors right behind us that are above our house since we live on a hill have recently moved in about a year ago. We came home one day and the neighbor had sprayed pool cleaner but got it all over our backyard which I don't understand how that happens! It killed our plants and trees and my dog could of been harmed if he consumed it. We then went to their house to talk to them about it. They then lied and said they don't know how that happened and then tried to spray it off with water. Then the next day they sent us an anonymous letter with our names on it and about our property. Saying that we don't have a permit for our koi pond, retaining wall, and that our trees are blocking their view. However we do have a permit and the trees are very thin and short. While the neighbors next to us have huge trees that cover everything. As well as they have annoying barking dogs and I've seen them throw their trash into other neighbors yards. Recently we've had the city come to our house to check out our backyard however we weren't home at the time. We knew it was them that had contacted the city. Is there any legal action we can do against these neighbors or maybe ask the police for help? I find it so rude how they don't even have the guts to face us and talk to us. Is their anything I can do about this letter and the pool spray? Any help would be grateful! Thank you!

It's only been a week and it seems like family and friends already appear to be acting like "ok, get over it" as if it was just a bad day. Just doesn't make sense. It's they avoid the subject or quickly change it while it's killing me all day and seems like it is going to last awhile in different ways. Am I just weird?

I don't know what to do. My teacher is 27 and is my history teacher. I had him as my teacher last year and we got on really well, I used to sit at the front by his desk (I was put in a seating plan that way) and we used to talk about everything. We have similar music tastes, like similar films etc. This year I don't have him as my teacher, but I was walking my dog and bumped into him outside of school and we had a 10 minute conversation easily. Then we had a Italy trip with the school and things really started off. I went to sleep at the airport and when I woke up he was sat across from me smiling at me. It was kind of weird because it was how I imagined my husband would smile at me when I woke up in the morning. It made me feel all tingly. He said I looked cute when I slept. I smiled and said thanks, and asked where the loo was, and he said "It's just over that way darling". He looked uncomfortable as soon as he said it but it started to make me have feelings for him. Over the trip other things would happen, like we were walking and I forgot my coat and he asked me if I wanted to borrow his jacket, and I went to the loo and everyone else got on the coach and he waited for me, and when we got on all the seats were full and I had to sit next to him. He let me go on his iPod and his most played songs was 'Don't stand so close to me' by the Police. And when we were crossing a busy street we were at the back of the crowd and he put his hand on my lower back to guide me across the road. And in the mornings the intimacy of the whole situation didn't help because I'd usually come down for breakfast quite late and he'd be the only one there. He'd say "Good morning sleepy head" and I'd fake scowl and stick my tongue out at him. I don't mean to encourage him but we make eachother laugh so much and I enjoy his company. Okay so I'm 17 and he's 20 it was all perfect for the first 7 months until I slept with someone else (we were on a break). We have now been together a year and a month. I can't have a fun conversation with people. When I have a conversation with someone 1 on 1 the conversation seems to turn into a very serious topic or a depressing topic. I'm a very humorous person but my humor comes out only on rare days. I also feel very left out from my friends, not because they don't hang out with me but because they can have fun conversations together but it never works out for me. When it comes to girls i have completely lost confidence because they lose interest in me after a couple days. I ve been with this person for 9 yrs. I love him with all my heart, yet at the same time I hate him. He s a good person when he wants to be, but if he don t want to be around he will start a fight with me and accuse me of cheating on him. This is the situation. I'm sorry that it's so long o.o My mom met someone online after she decided to try out one of those dating sites. She met this military guy, a Master Sargent who is in Afghanistan for 6 months on a peace-keeping mission (or something like that). Well, for the last week, they've been texting eachother almost nonstop, my mom's been all giggly and stuff, which is both annoying and cute. But the thing is... I don't feel comfortable with this that much, Reason being: he's already talking about moving in together, marriage, starting a family, and he already said "I love you" to my mom. A few days ago, he told her he wanted to request a temporary leave of absence, but the only thing is (according to him) he can't access his bank account from there, so he asked her to help him and he'll pay her back later. My mom had to have 800 and something dollars transferred to him to pay something, and now he needs $3500 for a plane ticket to get here. She was just telling her friend this, and her friend has my mom kind of doubting all of this, saying it could all be a scam for money, or it could also be true. He even gave her his username and password for his bank account (which is in Italy) which his picture, address, etc. It could be real, and it could be fake. None of us know. What I want to know is, is it true that people in the military cannot access their bank accounts from whatever country they're in? He told her that it was for security reasons or something, and it can only be done by a family member, so he was saying that my mom is his "bride to be". OH! And, apparently they can't chat online through webcam or anything (even if my mom had a webcam) because of some policy. Is that also true? They've never spoken on the phone because of international calls. And please, please, PLEASE, I need real answers, on the truth, on what to do... because if this is a scam, my mom's not going to see that money every again. I suggested that maybe she could have the police look into it, if that's possible, to see if this guy's legit, and just really desperate for a woman, or if he's a schemer. Thank you in advance!

I don't want to sound selfish but most of the time my bf's nephews get on my nerves. Whenever I go to his house (usually after work) it's just a headache when I get there and his sister is there with her kids. (They've been staying there since she has no work or place to stay) I usually try to ignore all the screaming running jumping crying and loud toys and games that's going on around me. My boyfriend is a paranoid schizophrenic and is abusive. He is moody, hostile, loud, puts me down over trivial ****, bullies me repetitive ly. I'm having a hard time at school, It's not...I just don't want to say it here. I try to talk with the consuelor about it but she always busy and we need to book appointments, it's stupid. I know, but that's 'how life is'. The only one left to turn is my parents...Right? My problem isn't anything new. It's been going on towards the end of 7th grade, I just felt a whiplash of things overtake my mind and even considered some dark things. :/ I was scared to talk about it back then but now it's becoming to much. I really don't know how much longer I can take this. I talked to my neighbor about my situation and she's says that her niece was in my position, and that her mom stop what was happening to her by doing homeschooling. She likes it, it made me wonder if all my problems would to if I could do it as well? But maybe it's an error. Just me in general and it can't be corrected or fixed and replaced. I tried talking to my mom about my situation, my feelings and thoughts. She cuts me off and tells me to go away. I don't....I don't know what to do? My dad is influenced by her so it's no point. I just, I feel so uncared for..Don't my problems need to be heard as well? Or am I not important enough for that? Les contare lo que me sucedio hace poco. I have an item I want to purchase but I having trouble deciding if its worth the money. I'm not going to put a label on what it is because its irrelevant. Actually, its a decorative piece. Any tips for making up your mind? On one side its something I really want but it may just be a fad/impulse buy. Its 120$, may not be a lot of money for you but for a broke college student its a lot. I don't really know what to do because I NEVER ponder on these types of things. Its always buy or don't buy and I never look back, It's a strange feeling right now. Should I wait a couple days? I'm going to sleep on this and I will decide first thing in the morning. I criticize people for wondering what-if, or people that can't come to a decision. I have applied many places around here but get nothing back. I have no money and need a smart quick plan to get out of here by June . Please help with any advice I feel that I am at a loss. Ever since I was a little kid, I've had a fear of men. I come from a very domestically abusive household and relationships as a teen and young adult. But every time my best friend who is a guy compliments me, I take it as a negative response, instead of positive. Just to be friends with them was hard for me to do because I thought that all men wanted one thing and one thing only. Why do I have a fear of men as adult? Could it be from childhood trauma that I've been through and how do I get out of this fear of men? I only go or hang out with certain people that are men because I built trust in them, but other men I have the fear come over me.

I'm a 17 year old male and my mom passed away when I was 2 years old. I've been raised and living with my single father since. my father is now marrying this women with 4 teenage daughters. There is an 18 year old, two 16 year old's who are twins and a 14 year old. I'm a really shy and awkward person so how do I socially interact with them whenever I meet them? Also what should I do if they want to go shopping with me?

So it's a little more involved than the title says - my coworker is twice my age and married and I think he was just extending a friendly invite to me, as he's been happily married for 30 years. I also didn't say yes, but I didn't say no. I just said "oh that sounds fun" when he invited me along with him to "grab a burger, get a drink and listen to some music." He said he goes every Thursday night alone (his wife works far away). I never said I'd meet him there but I still feel bad for not going after work since he invited me along... he only invited me, about an hour before the end of the day when everyone else was already gone. Should I feel guilty?

My (much older) married coworker who is in a management position (I am not in a management position) has been staying at a hotel near work Monday - Thursday and then commutes 3 hours back home to his family after work on Friday, returning Monday. I can imagine how tiring (and lonely) this gets. So I am looking to move but I haven't had much luck in finding a one bedroom apartment. Today, my coworker said that if I can find a two bedroom apartment, he'd love to "find" an arrangement where he can pay $40 a night for the second bedroom. He then proceeded to say that "people talk" at our work and he would not want me to feel find myself in a situation where my reputation is at jeopardy. But really in my mind, his reputation would be the one at jeopardy if anything considering he is twice my age and married. But anyway, I am totally OK with this - I actually like the idea of having his company and having a few hundred bucks taken off of my monthly rent. It just kind of took me back a little because my first thought is that he's coming on to me, but based on interactions we've had in the past, I truly believe that he would never, ever do such a thing. He is a very faithful, committed man - been married to his wife for 30 years. So, am I just being silly? Should I go for it? Swbarnes2: Ironically enough - I work in HR. He does not. But regardless, it is not HR's right to approve or not approve of the living arrangements of coworkers. I do not need "permission" to rent out a bedroom to a coworker if I choose to. My question is more about his intentions and what not.
