We are good friends but another coworker who doesn't like us reported us to our boss sayint that we spend our entire shift talking and not doing work. Thats a LIE because i only see Amanda once a day mostly on break. So we still got into trouble, on Tuesday Amanda had a meeting with our boss, then later that afternoon i had a meeting with the boss as well. My boss told me that Amanda talked really bad about me in the meeting, and that she threw me under the bus. Deep down i was furious and upset because she was supposed to be my friend. I saw her at work yesterday and she said "hi" but i walked past her and i ignored her. She asked me whats wrong, so i told her what my boss had told me. Amanda told me she never said anything bad about me in the meeting. That whole day she kept staring at me to see if i would talk to her, but i kept giving her the cold shoulder. I was walking by a staff room and i heard a conversation Amanda was having with another coworker. She sounded upset, she kept saying she doesn't want me to hate her, because she never talked bad about me in her meeting and she doesn't know whats going on. I dont know if i should believe her? In very confused. can i have some advice please????????? |

I don t really have any friends, but acquaintances I sit with at lunch or at pep rallies. I haven t had a best friend since I was eight. I m anxious, have acne, and a social mess. The people I have superficial crushes on are leagues and leagues above me, and this one guy who s another friendly acquaintance and who I actually had a chance with and had a huge crush on) on sits with me and his girlfriend (yes, dating is a big thing in my grade) during Language Arts, and I watched him give this girl this cute panda pillow for Christmas while I tried to do this best fake smile I could. I don t have a life outside school. My grades are the only thing I like about myself. I get straight A+ s. I hate myself. I hate how I look, how I act, and can t hold a conversation with anybody without it trailing off into awkward silence. Does anyone know how to become more outgoing and fun to be around? I m sorry if I sound too whiny. I just kinda need to get my thoughts out. |

My friend's wife was getting a little touchy-feely but I didn't mind because I thought she was just being friendly. Then my friend's wife walked over and sat next to me at the dinner table. I felt something on my leg but ignored it because I didn't want to look down. Then a little later my friend said something funny and we all laughed. Then I noticed something on my knee. I realized my friend's wife placed her hand on my knee. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to cause a scene. She left her hand on my knee. He's been peer pressuring me by drinking with him in public and I tell him no it's stupid to do and he just called me a ***** and a pussy. It's always when they go out for food or somewhere planned like if it's to go to a beach or anything like that I get an invite but never for a restaurant or café, I'm so confused about it is it because I'm a guy? We met when I was 13 and she's been through the worst (my mom dying, my mental health diagnosis of BPD and Bipolar) and best (college graduation, medical school acceptance) moments in life. She used to be hooked on drugs and I got her into rehab and cleaned up. When I was 18, I asked her out. We dated for 3 years and I proposed. She said yes but a few months ago...she told me that she wants to be best friends instead. She said she needs time to think and that she is interested in marrying me but wants us to be best friends. I know that I love her and she's important to me but how do I maintain a friendship when I want more. I feel like I'm stuck. I want her in my life but as more than a friend...plus there's a chance that she might meet someone else and us not get married. Do I suffer in silence or just let the whole 10 years of friendship/relationship go? Thanks. |

She tried to fit in with the popular kids and treated me bad when she was around them. But when they weren't around she acted like my best friend. Now she only talks to me when there's no one else or when she's bored. When we hung out with each other we had a lot of fun but I know she talks crap about me to her boyfriend and her other "cool" friends. She barely talks to me anymore and only does when she wants to brag about something or when she's got no one else. I miss our old friendship but I feel hurt since she sees me as a loser. I basically only have her as a friend and if I don't have her then I don't have any friends. It's hard for me to make friends because I'm EXTREMELY awkward and shy. Like extremely. I told my girl best friend about it first because she was molested when she was younger and I thought that she could be good to talk to and she was but she also told me that I should talk to our guy best friend because she confided in him about her experience and he was good to talk to. So I talked to him about it and when I first told him he asked if I was ok and asked who he needed to kill but now he won't talk to me, he passes by me in the hallway without saying a word, he refused to be my lab partner today in science, and he won't respond to my texts. So, we spend a lot of time together at work and go on breaks together. We often hang out at the weekend and go to parties too. We kissed each other a few times but it never went any further. He told me when he met me first that it was like love at first sight. I thought he was joking. Various staff at work see that we spend time together regularly. Staff have all said that we are emotionally connected and that HE is blatantly in love with me. My friend keeps asking me what the others have said all the time and keeps smiling and nodding as if he is really happy/satisfied. It's very odd. Why does he keep asking me about what the others say? |

Posted: 21 Dec 2018 07:13 AM PST So one time my friend was over and we were out biking and she already stayed over the night before and I asked if she wantes to again. So i called my mom and she said that she can but she has to leave by 11am that morning. So my friend called her grandmother to let her know and she told a white lie saying we had play practice when we didnt to let her stay. Her grandma ended up calling my mom and asked her if we had practice and my mom said no so she found out she was lying. I tried covering for her but my mom found out i lied that one time and now she doesnt like her. She thinks my friend manipulates situations and is a bad influence. Like what the heck. every kid lies to there parent once at some point. I know my brother lied to our mom a couple times but now he s on my case about this situation. My mom and my brother think that because she lied once, that she s on the path to doing drugs. They said it may be lying right now but by next year i guarantee you that she ll be smoking pot and im thinking to myself oh my god she lied one time. |

I'm not one to ***** about presents but why I'm so pissed about this is because it shows how much she doesn't pay attention to me. I asked her last year to not get me any surprises very politely and btw I don't ask for expensive stuff at all so idk why she's like this. I just wish she'd listen to me more and respect my simple wishes, then everyone would actually be happy and nobody would waste money. At the time she encouraged us to date without even telling me; I found out months later that they hooked up. Is it normal that I was upset over the matter? If the roles were reversed I would have been honest. I've looked at her differently since. Nothing happened between me and the guy - thankfully. But I don't see our friendship the same. |

However, teammates are not answering my messages and since it's winter break, we're all scattered so I can't meet them in person. (highschool) We met this August, and I would just like to know others' opinions on my situation. I'm not sure how to start so I'll just make a list of the way he acts around me. • He sits next to me during class and gets (playfully?) sad if I sit elsewhere. • He often holds my hand. • He sometimes starts a very physical tag-sort of game with me and also testes my strength with some games like arm wrestling and tells me that I am very strong. • He often tells me that he loves me • He compliments my outfits occasionally • He glances at me when his friends make inappropriate jokes and doesn't laugh at them. • He stands very close when we are talking one on one. • He always waits for me in between classes to walk together to the next. Those are some of the things that he does, but I am not sure if he just sees me as a really good friend or anything more. Any thoughts? |

Monday night, we were supposed to see each other after work but the plan was cancelled cuz he had to pick up his mom from the airport. I've been seeing my co worker for a month now and decided to invite him over. Talk about my foolish luck, my bf ended up coming to my place after dropping his mom home and saw my coworker leaving my place. I wasn't aware till he came in and was beyond angry. I've never seen him that mad in these whole 2.5 years. He was constantly shouting and interrogating me. He left my apartment and I followed him outside where he yelled at me even more. Since then, we had no contact whatsoever. He isn't replying to my texts and blocked me everywhere. Do I show up at his place to ask him what we are? I still wanted him in my life as well which is why I was successfully keeping it discrete till now. |

I was a loner at lunch and dumped by the small friends i did have. No explanation. They just ignored me one day and i started sitting alone. People i barely know seem to hate me or take some dislike to me. I'm not bad spirited. I smile and try to be accomodating at times. I'm not a big talker though. But people barely know me and already i get the feeling they dont want to talk to me at all, maybe they dislike me strongly... As i said i barely talked to them or bad any interactions. And i dont make fun of people. I am not a sarcastic person. So its not like im being caustic. Maybe i will just expect to live my life alone for most part since people make up their mind without a word from my side. Yeah maybe its that I seem odd because I not only ha e selective mutism in certain situations (not always), am very quiet and dont know what to say, and the fact i have been lonely for so long and gave up long ago hoping for a change (to find friends), i gave up when those friends i had left me for no apparent reason. Since then ive grown to not give a crap if anyone likes me, and just lost interest in others around me. I just disconnect and live in my head. Dont know how to small talk |

I work in a doctors office, i work in xray room and i have a friend Jasmine who works as a secretary. Sometimes we talk at her desk for 10 or 15 minutes. But lately some of other staff got mad at her for some reason, and they all went to theyre boss because apperantly she spends up to 2hrs talking to me and it destracts her from doing her job. She came up to me almost in tears because she was told her job is in Jeopardy. Deep down i feel this is all my fault because i was the one always approaching her, i told her im sorry but she told me its not my fault. This is eating me up, i wish i could doo something but we have different bosse's. She gave me a big hig today as i left but this is killing me inside. Can i have some advice ??????????? Hug |
