I try to go to meetup.com events but being between jobs cost is a factor, there aren't many free events in my small city either, so I feel pretty stuck meeting people...for friends, potential dates, etc. I'm not getting any younger so I really need to up the number of people I meet and date to increase my chances of finding Mr. Right. About as much as I manage is sitting in a coffee shop 1-2 time a week, that's about as close to meeting guys as I seem to get...and it's not exactly a busy coffee shop so rarely any guys, let alone guys to meet/talk to. |

The joking and teasing makes me feel like I cannot do anything without being judged with what I'm doing or why and my parents have threatened to take away my license and phone because I have stated I didn't like the jokes. I'm from FL which is where we were living. I left my family, career & entire life behind to come here. Additionally I paid for exactly half of his lawyer fees so I contributed as much from my own paycheck as he did to help him get his child back. I have no issue helping but today at Walmart I realized I left all my sandals back in Florida & the only pair of shoes I remembered to bring were tennis shoes that have given me terrible blisters. So I told him I was gonna buy a clearance pair of sandals with MY money from MY paycheck or MY savings acct & he flat out told me no. He had my card in his wallet & refused to give it to me. Told me we don't have money to spend on stupid things even tho he clearly saw the blisters. He told me he would go to the car with my card so I'd have no way to pay for it. Eventually he handed me my money but I'm a little pissed that he did this. Should I call it off? |
