I sleep in the basement were the washer and the dryer is located at, my step mom was washing clothes I asked her "your clothes are done do you want me to put them in the dryer?" She said "no it s ok I ll go down there later".... this is were the weird part starts. It was night time, that s the time my dad and stepmom go to work, instead of them being at work they were in the basement getting the clothes from the washing machine, I went back to basement having no clue that they were there I heard them talking so I was like let me just get my weed and pipe from the room and go to the bathroom and smoke while I was in the bathroom my stepmom told my dad that I offered to put the clothes in the dryer it got quiet for 5-7 seconds then my dad says "do you think he was trying to smell your pantie?"...... instead of my stepmom mom saying no I don t think that she says I don t know.... they finish grabbing all the clothe to go back upstairs, they seen the bathroom door closed with the lights on, they had no idea I was there listing. My step mom yelled my name to see if I was there I answered and said yhea. right when my dad started walking up the stairs he said "do you think he heard us?" She's gotten so drunk to the point where she blacked out, threw up, and couldn't walk. She gets drunk a lot, and high on weed and hookah. It was vodka. She says she has trouble controlling her impulses. She has also been suicidal before. She didn't go into detail. What's weird is she never told me how she lost her virginity. BEFORE she had birth we spoke about all the plans we where gonna have and everything seemed so real and now she's acting strange. When I call her she never answers my calls but she is at home with ger parent's. She'll tell me she's making our daughter asleep but when I ask her for a photo she tells me she don't feel like taking a photo now she's to tired, I'd keep on asking and then she'll say she doesn't have enough data and after 2 minutes her mother fetches our baby. She tells me she's to scared to ask her mom and dad if she and my daughter can over night by me but can ask them for anything else. I asked to spend mother's day with her so she said she can't come to me coz she has to make food. I asked her if I could come to her she said she will ask her mother her mother said to her to ask her father and she said she don't want to ask him. There's so many more things she's doing I just want all this to stop but I don't know how. I spoke to her about how I feel it works for now but th next day she'll do the same thing. When I was in 7th grade, my dad told me that he and my mom read a conversation between me and a friend , and that it was all her idea and he told her not too (I guess that was his extent of trying to make her stop). It was on the Hangouts app on our phone and even now I still use the hangouts to talk with my friends, and I don't know if she sees or not. Our phone has 3 emails: my old one, hers, and my current one. I try and make sure both of my emails aren't synced with the phone so it doesn't receive my emails, however she still goes through it (and most, if not all of the times, she goes to my old email that gets emails from things I did a long time ago). Once I signed up for an online penpal website and used it like twice. About three months after I stopped using it, my mom said she went through my emails (this being my current email) and found my account and read my profile (I think that was a lie since they'd need to sign in). Recently, I apparently got an email from a Twitter from 7th grade I used for like 20 seconds. My mom says she got a confirmation email in her email. I checked my old one and she had gone through it again. And now she won't believe it was an old account. What makes it worse is that she talks about how her parents went through her diary and letters to friends and is still mad about it, when she does similar things to me. |

He is the youngest and has never received discipline in any way, while I used to get spanked and timeouts lasting hours for whatever my younger siblings did. He doesn't do chores, he gets whatever he wants. He has a new windows 8 laptop, while I got the old family laptop, as well as an electric guitar I wanted that he won't even touch, and a new 3dsxl. I'm not upset that he gets more stuff, but he is never disciplined. Also, if I talk about something I like, he usually talks bad about it, then tries to gloat how he loves it, despite never knowing a thing about it. But when I point it out, he screams and complains and I'm in trouble for it. Also, he only sits by me when I'm playing Just Dance, so he sits right behind me, and it's creepy. I've brought this up with parents, but only results in me getting screamed at. What can I do? |

Now my dad's sending me to tutoring and then he comes home and tells LIES about me. He says that my tutor says I don't know anything, I forgot all the basics like simple addition, and my school teachers say that I'm getting all F's in their classes. THIS IS SO NOT TRUE! I just messed up one time on an exam but I still do get A's and B's in my classes as an overall grade. It pisses me off so much when he lies about things like that. When I tell my mom and other family members the truth, they don't believe me. They say, "why should I? You got a C on your math exam. That proves everything." My nan wanted pictures of me somewhere in my cap and gown, I told her I didn't want to go and said she could take some when I see her at her house the next time. She agreed and that's what we are going to do (so don't mention anything about the graduation pictures, she'll get the pictures). My problem is, was it alright for her to bribe me with the graduation present she was going to give me (I have no idea what it is, so don't tell me I'm being selfish and all I want is a gift, I don't know what this gift is to complain about not getting it). I don't feel it was right for her to bribe me and even my mother and grammother think it wasn't right for her to do that. Some things about my nan you should know; -Even though I'm 18, she still treats me as though I'm 6 -Will not take no for an answer, especially something like this, and will bribe me or my sister into doing something so she gets her way -I've been going to her house every other Wednesday since I was a baby, 4 days before my graduation is the last time I plan to be going -I have missed every holiday my whole life with my mom's family due to her MAKING me go, regardless if I'm sick or not (Easter I threw up all over her laundry room). I play the guitar, a little bit of piano, and bass. But when I practice and create, I just lose motivation, and I get very lazy. My dad is the most negative person in my life right now. And look, I don't care what he tells me do and stuff, and I don't hate him. And, I know he's trying to help me. I appreciate the things he does for me. But, seriously, every time I talk to my dad, I try to be nice to him, and spend time with him and my mom. But, all he does is make fun of me most of the time. He tells me I'm lazy, and I don't learn anything, and that I have no passion for anything. And I just get sad and angry. I want to keep playing music, but my dad constantly keeps saying negative things to me. So, whenever I'm practicing, I just have these negative thoughts in my head. Like, I feel like I'm not practicing the right way, or I feel like I'm not good enough etc. I need help. I can't stop getting mad at him. How can I ignore my dad's negativity and just move on, and just do my things, and be happy? I just need some inspiration, and I need to stop being lazy, and to not let the negative things get in my head. And how can I make practicing more fun, instead of it being a chore? I was very sheltered, my parents tried to protect me from everything outside our immediate bubble, and now that I'm 18 and looking towards adulthood I want to learn how to live as a responsible adult, but I'm diving in headfirst so I wanted advice on how to go about this learning process. I want independence but I'm woefully unprepared for the real world and I wanted advice for how to do so. I'm happy my parents loved me so much and wanted the best but my future seems basically screwed. |

I started thinking that maybe I'm adopted. So I talked to my dad and said asked if I'm adopted. He askes why I wanted to know and I said I was just curious. He changed the topic when I was in the middle of saying how I would be okay if I am. Then I asked if I could see m birth certificate because he wouldn't answer my question. He wouldn't let me. He has brown wavy hair, tan skin, light blue eyes, and is super tall. My mom has curly thick dark blonde hair, tan skin, kinda tall, and grey eyes. I have straight light blonde hair that's kinda thin unlike my parents thick hair, fair skin that barely ever tans, dark blue-green eyes, and am a little above average height but not tall yet (haven't grown in a year so I don't think I'll ger taller). I can't ask my mom about it because she lives in Virginia and is always working. My siblings look nothing like me (different hair, eyes, they're all tannish). Also our personalities are different. I live away from home. She has tried everything to get the cat to eat including nonstop wet food, chicken, and tuna. She set out a cat carrier and told me don't take it to the vet while she is away. She said she doesnt want to come home to hundreds of dollars in bills and does not want to see the cat suffer. My friend is outraged and said it's my moms cat and she "has to pay". I am caught in the middle as a single mom who can not foot any vet bills. What should I do? I guess its more a question of if I should charge my moms account for hundreds of dollars if she doesnt want me to. I can probably end up in a lot of trouble if she said not to. |

She is never actually nice and doesn't feed us the healthiest food. She never wants to buy us clothes because she says she has no money, yet she gets a lot of money from my dad each week. At my dads I have a piano and my lovely dog which I always miss so much when I'm at my moms during the weekdays and every other weekend. I always miss my dad a lot and wish I can be with him 24/7 but I can't, until my 17 year old sister decides it's better for us to live with our dad. He can help us with homework and advice but my mom is pretty uneducated and would never be able to help us. Is there anything that I can do right now to live with my dad instead? Neither of use new the other existed until their stepfather succumbed to cancer. There mother had already passed, and he told them on his death bed. They were all in their late twenties and tracked me down. This was two years ago. I was surprised and delighted, as I spent most of my life building my business and never had the chance for a family. I bonded quickly with the two younger daughters, but the oldest was always aloof. She worked in law enforcement, and my business was private security, so we had things in common, but she always kept her distance. She was very close with her sisters, though. Several months ago, her supervisor made a bad mistake, and my daughter and several of her coworkers were fired. This was the only job she wanted her whole life, and despite the hardships she face I know she loved it. Her job meant everything to her. When she was fired, she sunk into depression. She started abusing alcohol and I suspect she began using drugs too. I tried to help; I even offered to use my business connections to get her a similar or better job in the private sector, but she was not interest. She soon stopped talking to me. She then distanced herself from her sisters as well. Now I have not even heard from her in weeks. I am very concerned about her well being, but I have absolutely no idea how to help. As I mentioned, I have really only been a parent for two years. Is there anything I can do? |

It seems that she thinks that every action my dad and I do that isn't overtly positive is mean-spirited. Whether it is me being bummed out about something, housework not getting done, or even my dad taking over helping me on my math homework. When this happens (which is almost every day) she begins to get salty and guilt-trip me and my dad. She will carry on about how she is always the villain and how we would be better off without her. Then, she will ignore us for a while. Most of the time, it blows over in an hour or so, but it is really starting to get to me! Anytime I try to talk to her about it, she gets further offended. And she never apologizes when she lashes out! I am so tired of being supportive of her, when she is acting like a child! |

I didn't ask her to buy it, its mandatory to wear a dress. But theres this jacket that I'm absolutely in love with and its about 40 dollars. I knew if i asked her she wouldn't buy it for me so i thought i should have a garage sale first to make my OWN money with my responsibility. I have a lot of old clothes, toys, books, furniture, etc. in my room and in the attic. So with all of that im going to donate some of it to good will for my basketball team. So i asked her if i could have a yardsale to sell my stuff to make enough money for a 40 dollar jacket. She started to get mad and started yelling at me. She said i was spoiled. Hes been in the military for awhile & is very strong. He also was being forceful with my sister, shes 10, he has the ok from the police because of her, but they didnt say it was okay for him to lay a hand on me. My mom always says, if anyone hurts you you get out, yet she puts it aside. He also took my ipod, phone and skateboard (I pay for.) He dropped the garage door opener, the only way to get in, & just said oh well, bc he thought it was mine. Which is why he hurt me, he got his car & started yelling at me "give the keys, get in the car," etc I told him I didnt have the keys and wasnt getting in the car w him. I walked off & he tried to force me in his car. I went to my room & was shaking. He came back & took my TV (I paid for) & yelled about if he wouldve said that to his mom. I just told my mom not to be yelling at my sister for something dumb (not being able to shoot a basketball from anywhere, & stop blaming it on people). Our relationship was that, I helped her through her marriage and divorce with my father, control herself & w discipline since she wasnt the best. She responded w shut up, shes never said that, it made me mad. Im 14, I thought that was a good idea, but tbh, my mom never really taught us manners. It's very interesting by the way, and my mum saw the screen and said I can swear you used to do the stuff that kid did and she pointed it on the screen. So I remember I used to play with soldiers all the time, and I mean it all the time, I used to build forts or strongholds and I did that all the time, I made my parents buy me a soldier uniform(yeah lol sounds stupid but I used it all day long) , every time we went to a toy store I used to say "We need more men"(just kid stuff I guess?) also there is a park nearby that has a WWII memorial with tanks, artillery,planes and you are guessing already I stayed there all day long walking around the place in a straight hands in the back of my weist kind of a cocky or maybe thinking posture(my mum said that that's how I used to walk) so the place felt like home, I said something weird there "Hmm is this all the shermans they've got? " somehow i knew the name of the tank another weird thing was that I was playing with my fort and my mum asked "oh what the did you build there?" And I said "it's the Atlantic wall, do you like it?" My parents were together when I was younger sorta. Is visit my father every once and a while but while I was there he'd shove me and my sister and a closet and wouldn't let us out. Later my parents moved in together and I noticed my father would hit my mother and scream at all of us but I can't recall if he ever hit me because I was really young but I'm almost positive he did. Eventually my parents separated and my mother got a new boyfriend when I was 8. This man would verbally attack me, like call me a freak and a slut and a worthless/useless *****. My mother would do nothing, saying it was my fault and didn't care. This happened for roughly two years( this occurred after he had lived with us for 4 yrs.) he was kicked out two months ago. Now my mother doesn't really talk to us nicely but it's not over. The top. She doesn't always have food for us to eat and she is constantly angry/yelling. She's not home a lot and sneaks out at night to go see her new boyfriend. By the way she and her ex boyfriend have a daughter together too that they both treat fairly good. I was wondering what I could do about this legally. Like can I report anything and what would happen exactly? What about emancipation? I'm 15 and in Kentucky by the way. I've also just started therapy due to self harm so I don't know how that would affect anything Please help me. I don't know if I can deal with all of this, i ant forget any of it. |

I am 17 years old and am currently in recovery for anorexia. I'm at a healthy weight and all but I've been really struggling recently. Like we ate breakfast together today. It took me an hour to eat a plain pancake and some berries. He devoured his three buttery syrupy pancakes and half the bowl of fruit in 15 minutes and was just left there watching me eat. He said nothing about it...we had conversation and stuff. But this is what every meals gonna look like. I've also been recently diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I'm not on meds and I've done some mental work in therapy so I'm ok in that regard... But should I tell him this stuff?? How? How do I tell him that I'm in recovery right now? |

We are moving soon and they want me to drive a few things in the back of my truck cheaper on the moving bill. I finally got a girlfriend and want her to come visit me she is a long time friend of mine . I said ok I will do it on the condition they buy new tires or my gf a plane ticket or new off road tires but now they are like we ain't buying your girlfriend a plane ticket. I am going to ship my truck because I don't want it damaged or have my warrenty extended. My truck was very expensive it was a program vechical where someone only had it for 10,000 miles .I would be more then willing to do it but I want a plane ticket for my new girlfriend in return or new off road tires sense my tires are almost to the point of needing to be changed. I am paying gas auto loan insurance on my truck it's my truck and my name on the loan and title. I have to at all costs protect my investment in my truck sense it was so expensive. This truck was upwards of about 40,000 bucks I pay for everything on it so I call the shots it would be cheaper for them to buy my new gf a plane ticket or the tires I wanr because the move distance will destroy my current tires. I don't fall for guilt trips I have a strong psyche and they can't rattle it by yelling and screaming I have givin them options. But instead of taking a no for an answer, decides to tell me that I won't get a graduation present (which I don't care for) if I don't come. She's agreed with me to take it to her house the next time I come up (which is 4 days before I graduate) so she can take pictures. It's my choice if I want pictures taken or not, not hers, and bribing me isn't a way to make me come. I'm not the only one who thinks this and my mom and gram thinks it's wrong for her to bribe me. They want pictures too, but understand that I'm not comfortable being photographed and are okay with waiting until I say they can. Now, don't be calling me insensitive, because I understand she just wants pictures and it wouldn't take long (in reality she wants to spend all day from 3-9pm taking pictures) but again, she will get them one way or another, and can come to my graduation BEFORE it starts, which I have to be there at 5 and it starts at 7, she leaves work after 5 and before 7, plenty of time for her to come down and take pictures. |
