We were best friends through out middle and high school, we were pretty close, we understood each other but then we suddenly stopped talking, from my point of view I don't know why she stopped being my friend. A few months ago I attempted to resolve the issue by messaging her on Facebook and told her I still think of us as friends and if I did something that made her angry me that I was truly sorry. She never replied. I know that I should just move on but I can't, she was truly the greatest friend I had, I always felt happy around her and at ease. I want to try again because lately I've been having dreams about her when we were still in school, I know that sounds really cheesy but it's true. Is there anything I can say to her that will get her to at least talk to me?? Please, I really miss her. |

I told her about it and she was just saying shesomething not a texter...but that's kinda hard for me to believe cause it's the 21st century. I had my door shut and though to be locked. My sisters friend walked in not knowing what room it was. (shes only been here 1 time before) She asked me what was i doing, and i said "umm.." but before i could finish she asked if and how she could help. I said i dont know but she walked over after shutting the door and took her shorts off and started j*****g me off but she stopped, pulled off her underwear and sat down on my d**k and started moving up and down. It lasted like 5 min, i pulled out of course though. We both talked for a minute while my sis was downstairs making their lunch, and we both want to do it again. What do i do? We both kind of want to, but i dont know. We live in Pennsylvania so legally we can, but i dont know if we should or how and when. Please help. |

I feel like those people think they're being a good person by saying that. It's just annoying though. We all do things that are unhealthy. Nobody lives a perfect life. But, whenever i do, one of my closest friends loudly says in front of everyone: "your not funny...??!" and gives me this annoyed and mean look, and it becomes really awkward because I do not know how to respond and act after that. What should i do the next time this happens? When i started high school i made a group of 2 other close friends it was the three of use everywhere(i still talked to everyone and got to know everyone but it was mostly us 3) now, 4 years later one of those friends just dislikes me...i have no idea about what i couldve possibly done him to make him react this way but we rarely speak we dont even just walk around like we used to but hes still close with the other friend we hung out with. Another guy i sat next to in class this term we were best buds(not as close as the 3 of us above) but we talked all the time in class...randomly over like a 1 week period where he just moved to another part of the class(near to the other friend i startyed highschool with...not the one that dislikes me) and just also dislikes me we dont talk or anything....i cannot figure this out AT ALL.It really doesnt bother me whether they like me or not i just want to know what could be a reason that they just did this so strangely so i prob curb the habit or whatever. Im still close with the other guy tho not VERY but close. |

We ran to Walmart and as we were sitting in the parking lot she says "He's here." and there's a guy sitting in a car behind us. He goes to park and walks up to the car and stands there. she cracks the window and doesn't say anything. Finally she says "you're kind of ugly" and they talk a little (her being rude and him looking down and talking quietly) and then she says "I'm going home and drives off with the boy standing there. I feel like the situation could've gone very badly and put us both in danger if he would've gotten upset . I'm currently not speaking to her. Am I wrong or overreacting? |

We got in a big fight in 5th grade and then we were back to being friends again but it wasn't exactly the same. Then in 6th grade we hung out in the beginning of the year and then she got some other friends and I felt like a lot of the time she was annoyed with me because I would just stand there because I don't really know her friends so then I started trying to hang out with other people but we still always hung out at the lunch tables and at nutrition. This year for 7th grade, I switched over to a private school and she stopped talking to me. She never tried to contact me anymore but I still try to contact her but she always says she's busy. My other friends told me she got really popular this year. Most of my friends were hers as well because we would always hang out with her twin brother and his friends so if I ever were to go back to my old school (which I really want to) it would be awkward because I feel like she doesn't want to be my friend anymore. She lives right by me too. I know that I should just let he friendship go but I've known her since kindergarten and I still really want to be her friend. (she's a senior). I just said okay. then we were talking about teachers at our school and the two freshman there at the time said "teachers don't like ______ she talks a lot and is loud. so I don't think Mrs. ____ will like her. " and I just sat there because I was taking there girls to an amusement park NEXT WEEK and there they are talking about me right in front of me. please help. |

And this entire school year went by so fast because we were non stop talking and laughing about something, and chatting when we were at home. It s been 15 days since the end of school, we ve seen each other once, it was weird, and he replies to my messages in a single word and never reaches out first. I was never his best friend, but I was the first after his best friend. Suddenly, I am seemingly back into the zone in which he doesn t like me again. I love my friend; however, I have always felt unimportant in her life. She's not good with communication, and forgets to tell me important things going on in her life. I also feel like she's not there for me at times when I need her. We've had discussions about her lack of communication, or her lack of responding to my text messages. She said she would do better, but never really did. So when she decided to tell me that she got in engaged last summer via text, I was happy for her, but at the same time, I was annoyed by the fact that all of sudden she knows how to communicate, after we've had issues with her communication. I felt like she only wanted to tell me about her engagement to brag about it. Well, my 30th birthday party rolls around, & she knows that my birthdays are VERY important to me. But my friend has a track record of ALWAYS showing up EXTREMELY late to events, and I tried to let her know way in advance when it was so that she schedule time off to be there for me. However, she shows up 15 minutes before the party was over, like it was nothing. So that was the final straw for me, and I dropped out of her wedding. Was I wrong??? She's consistently never there for me, and I was tired of it. |

My boss who is also a good friend is the greatest boss in the world. He gave me a job when no one else would and I just adore him. He is always available to help me when I need help. He is giving me training so I can improve my skills and get a higher wage. He is very generous with raises. All the guys I work with are my friends and I enjoy working with them. They are just great people and I enjoy coming to work each day. I found out my boss called a meeting soon after I was hired of all the guys and told them "We now have a beautiful woman working here and I do not want any problems with sexual harassment". "Anyone that is going to hit on her will be fired immediately". "I know having a beautiful woman working here is new for you guys, but she is a very valuable member of our team and I don't want to loose her". "It is my moral and legal obligation to see that she does not feel the slightest pressure of sexual harassment". I think my boss paying me a compliment. My friends that I told about this told me he was just trying to protect the company from sexual harassment claims. What do you think? |

I would prefer to get separate gifts but am flexible. Basically, what do you think are good gift ideas? As a jew, what would you want to receive? I am willing to spend up to $250. That being said, I just want to get them something they actually like. They are loaded so I know the price of whatever I get won't phase them at all. I guess I'm going for uniqueness. If that means a kippa for $10 or $15 cool, if it means $200 for a ring, also cool. Just something they might not already have. Thanks in advance for any help!!! |

Posted: 08 Jul 2016 12:08 PM PDT I'm getting a little jealous of my best friend.. she made a bunch of fairly "popular" friends and now her Instagram likes went from like 30 to 90 and she gets maybe 7 comments on all her pictures. She tells me she hates them because they're bitches, yet she never makes an effort to stop hanging out with them and just tells me, "I have to.. they invited me." I know deep down she's hanging out so she can maintain her popularity. But my social media only gets maybe 50-60 likes and I get 0-3 comments. Which is NOT much compared to all the other people at my school. This is because I have no friend group. I have no group of close friends, no "squad." I just some scattered friends. Do people ever look at my Instagram and think to themselves how unpopular I am? I don't post barely anything, and I don't talk and caption things like how other girls do. Their captions are always like puns or jokes written in all lowercase letters, if that makes sense. Do people think I'm not fun? I post like scenery from my travels and occasional group pictures of me at events with acquaintances. But only a couple times a year. I'm in high school, btw. Rising junior. Words can not express how much of a shock I was/am still in. I love my best friend and do not see or love her any less after she came out of the closet, but it does change some things. The mere fact that she hid this relationship for almost 5 years just opens up a wound larger than one can mend. I already asked her if she truly didn't trust me enough to tell me but she claims that is not the case at all. I guess it hurts more because she has found a closer companion within these years and in a sense replaced me. Both of us attend different universities, so it's hard to stay in touch every single day. But it hurts seeing her read my messages, while online and not replying to them until days and sometimes weeks later.. all the while replying to her gf. I'm sure it's temporary jealousy, but am afraid that if it's not it'll ruin our friendships.. |

I had some family issues, but most of them ended back when I was twelve. I was somewhat on the bully side of the school life spectrum, but also the bullied. I moved to a new school and made new friends and was much happier, but I still get really defensive when I feel like a lesser person than everyone else and have a hard time giving complements, which I'd definitely like to do more often. I think I'm making an improvement, but I still snap sometimes. I may also see some old bullies again next year, so if you have any tips on handling them without fighting or getting anyone to help and intervene, that would be great. I assume I just ignore them? Or battle their negative ways with a happy cheery facade? ;p I don't really know, but I appreciate all kind, helpful, and legitimate answers. Thank you. **compliments Loved the positivity. She's a smart woman and they have one child who is 9. He has been cheating on her for some months before she found out and she was upset but didn't do anything!! Any time we invite them over together there is an awkwardness between them. I think she is scared of him leaving her despite what he is doing. I'm always here for her as well as our other friends but we can't convince her to move on, she's still in love. What can I do to help her get out of this situation and keep their boy safe? Compared to my friends, my life is so bad. I know it isn't that bad but it's hard to be happy when you can't keep up with friends. My friends all live in huge houses that are beautiful on the inside and they never have to move. They are all so pretty and have so many clothes. They always get to travel and they all have boyfriends. Whenever we go out to eat I have to say I'm not hungry because I never have any money and my parents won't give me any of theirs. They always have good food at their house and we can't go to the grocery store until my mom gets paid so we legitimately do not have anything to eat (not an exaggeration) they are all going to get nice cars for their 16 bday and I'm not going to get anything. I love my friends but I'm always jealous of them so I end up being mean. Im tired of lying about how I really live. How do I stop being so down about how my life is? She's a really sweet person, and I'm glad to be her friend, but there is one thing about it that's a bit weird. Whenever we talk, we will cuddle role pay. Only, when I put if my action, she prefers I describe myself with fur. So if I were to say "*holds you close to my chest*" I would have to say "*holds you closed to my furry chest*." Once I even asked if we ever got together, if she'd want me to have fur and she said she'd really like that. I can't grow fur! I'm a hairy guy, but no human can grow fur! I'm not sure what I should do about this. I really like this girl. Should I just continue what I have been doing, or tell her I can't grow fur? I know it sounds crazy, but it is what it is. They werent friends on facebook since then eithier. Every once in awhile she would invite my family to events like her wedding(she also had a good bond with us) saying "i know your sister and i arent friends but it would be great if you guys good come to __ u get the idea. I personally she was a better friend to my sister then who my sister is friends with now to be honest. She messaged me 2 days ago pouring her heart out saying that she misses all of us and wants to be in my sisters life again. I resonded saying we missed her too and that i would let my sister know. She's really nice too, and she's kind and pretty, and I love her, we've been best friends for years. I'm confident too, I'm not ugly, I just don't have her charisma. Basically, whenever we go to the bar together, sleazy guys try to hit on us. And then while I awkwardly brush them off, she makes up funny stories and brushes them off, like how she's in the Witness Protection Program and spins some crazy tale. But then all of our friends will tell the rest of our friends that "OMG this is the latest story she told, it was so funny blah blah" and everyone laughs and adores her Usually when I do weird things even my other friends say that I'm doing it for attention, like this one time I wanted to impress them so I made up some story at the grocery store and they were like, "That never happened" "Stop trying to be like [friend]" I told my best friend how I feel and she said just act natural, and use random movie plots to tell funny stories. He told her it is her choice but she insists on breaking the law. Her boyfriend almost got caught last week by the cops. She face timed me from the factory and it was dangerous as well. My friend is 12 and her boy friend Is 13. I don't know if I should tell her mom and prevent them from getting probation or arrested or let it be.
