I have a friend that has an abusive stepdad and my mother says it's not good or healthy to be friends with someone that is being abused cause they could end up abusing me...I don't think that's true cause I've known my friend for 6 months and he's only 17 and he isn't aggressive at all. I guess the only thing he does is he gets angry when I ask if he's okay but I'm pretty sure he does that to hide how he is feeling cause he doesn't like to talk about things that bother him. Anyway, my mother doesn't want me to be friends with him which I'm very angry/sad about cause I want to be there for him and I guess I kinda have a crush on him too...Have you guys ever had bad experiences with someone that has been abused? And is it possible to have a good/normal relationship with him? Recently I had a conversation with my daughter's teacher from summer camp. They way the teacher talked, she made it seem like it was coming from the director but when I called him, he really didn't know much; what she told him was different than what she told me. When I contacted her by phone about it, she got EXTREMELY defensive and said she never said this or that. I decided to ask the director if the three of us can meet, and he agreed. When we met, the teacher, again DENIED everything. The director started talking to me as if I was lying too so I corrected him (you're not going to talk to me as if I'm lying. I know what I heard). When I asked the teacher, why would I lie about it and she answered because you were embarrassed and that no one wants to hear that about their child. Hmm...not true. I absolutely had NO problems with this teacher, NONE. I even thanked her for being someone other than myself that my daughter can talk to about the death of her dad. What would I have to gain by going to the director and making up lies? Why would anyone do that?

I noticed something really annoying and irritating about myself and it's jealousy. I look at women and girls my age (and sometimes even younger) and I get jealous over their looks. I don't have long hair, I have a lot and a lot of body hair, and I have petite breast sizes, so when I see anyone with those qualities I just don't feel comfortable. I watch videos and I see people in nice, big homes and I get a bit jealous too.
