My brother does absolutely nothing, he stays in his room and plays video games for a minimum of 9 hours a day. But anything that has to be done, I do it or I get yelled at and hit. I don't understand because I can honestly not remember the last time my brother had to do anything or got in trouble for anything.

Hi I'm 16 and I have 2 little sisters. One is 15 and the other is 12. My 15 year old sister is super mean to my 12 year old sister and my mom. She doesn't stop at anything until she gets what she wants. She treats our mom like she's nothing but a piece of dirt. She's also extremely mean to me. It is so bad that I have gotten to the point of where I hate her. I always want to beat her. Especially when she yells at our mom. She's only happy when she's at a friend's house or talking to boys. I don't know what to do anymore. Can you help me? Please and thank you.

My dad has always been known as a hard headed person, he used to physically abuse my older sister when i was a baby what i was told. Ever since i was young he d get really mad at me or yell at me if I didn t speak up loud enough or know an answer. I m 17 now and always had a shy personality and don t like to speak up because I m afraid of being rejected. I m often called names and i get put down a lot and he threatens me every once in a while that he ll bust my head open or throw myself against the wall. I always try to isolate myself when i see him because i just can t stand being near him anymore..

My sister has gone to College for a year now. She is home for the summer and I now realize how much she acts like your run of the mill snobby college *****, not that everyone is like this. With it being summer I only have one job and I am on the lazy side. I stay out of my family's way but my dad and sister like to tell me that my life is going nowhere and that I make bad decisions. I like to game on my PC witch is the first thing I really worked hard to have/build. I stay up late and my sleep schedule was off. I am a 17 year old young man and I think I deserve the respect of them butting out of my life when it comes to my personal choices. and before you say they are just looking out for me, here is where you are wrong. They never talk to me, its always yell first ask later with them. I think it is disrespectful and it is not a means for a healthy relationship. I feel like my dad sides with my sister on all of this and they always have. I'm just trying to enjoy my young life before I have to get a full time job next year. My sister also tells me that I am doing nothing with my life and that i'm a bad person for staying up too late. But the thing that really irks me about this is that since she was 16 she has been drinking and partying. I would be lying if I told you I had never done it, but a handful of times at that. She has recently started to smoke weed regularly and use molly and shrooms. Am I really in the wrong or should my dad sort the real issue out? thank you!

I don't hog them at all.. I basically just hang out with them more than my sister. I wouldn't mind if she hangs out with us but it's like if I do she would pick one of my baby cousins up and leave. She can play with our baby cousins too, but she barely hangs out with them or watches them so yeah I'm gonna hang out with them more often so they don't hurt themselves.. She calls me the hogger yet she always pulls my hands away whenever I try to comfort my baby cousin whenever she's cousin, like if I rub her back she pulls my hands away and goes into another room. How can I get her to just calm tf down??

My mother and father are constantly onto me about something, calling me names or something. And every time they talk to me it's to get onto me about something. And when I say something back I get hit and screamed at. I was wondering what effects something like this would have on me, both in the short and long term. Please, this isn't something I'm just ranting about because I'm upset, I'm genuinely concerned for my health.

This may be a long post/question but here it goes. I always felt my mom treated my brothers and I as second to anything she does. She takes care of kids as a living and treats them as her children which doesn't bother me. But what does bother me is when she compares those children to my brother and I and my own kids/ her grandkids. Her home is filled with pictures of the kids she babysits and no pictures of me or her grandkids whats so ever. She has even said once that one of the kids mother is like a real daughter to her. A couple weeks ago my brother came to visit her (we live in different states)and brung along the parents of a few of the kids she babysat. I went to visit him at my mothers. We were all talking when all of a sudden she goes off and starts comparing my kids to the ones she babysat saying that they are better and that she likes them better right in front of me and everybody else in the room. I was so upset I left and went home and have not spoken to her in about a month. Now she is calling me but I won't answer cause I feel like I'm going to yell at her for doing what she did. My brother has even spoken to me and told me to just forgive her, but I feel like I can't. She has done things like that on more than one occasion and it hurts me emotionally. I just want to know what I should do. Should I just forgive her and let her act the way she does again and hurt me or should I just ignore her?

My friend is 13 and her parents almost never or rarely give her any allowance and if any, its only 1 dollar and she only ate once in school. She complained that parents were never at home and the parents never bought her food. She even got desperate for money that she collects coins in the drains in school. I sometimes try to buy her instant ramen cup whenever I could but I dont have alot of money either and it seems like she havent eaten properly for days. When she is sick, her parents would ignore her and wont bring her to the doctor. I am worried for her, what should I do?

So my dad recently married a new wife (like six months ago) and she has been living with my and I for the past five months. I about had it with all of them including my baby's father. I cant stand my grand dad, he's been mean to me ever since I was little and my cousin came out. He always sais im just like my mother, I don't raise my baby right, and im worthless behind my back. If I don't have something im worthless, if I dont do things specifically how he wants it like when it comes to how I raise my son, im worthless, and I can't raise my son right. Even though my sons perfectly healthy and happy, when I tell him im just doing what the doctor tells me to do he acts like my doctor is wrong. She's not he just doesn't understand that this generation doesn't raise babies old fashioned. There was one point in time where he actually pressured me to come over so his "daughter can see the baby" when it was more like all of them criticizing me about how to raise my son. He always tells me to do what I think is right with my son but when I do he lectures me. I dont see why im so bad to them, I graduated and im in college, I keep my house clean, I pay my bills, and I have a happy healthy baby, but nothings ever good enough. I can't stand them, im at my wits end. It's getting to the point where im about to explode on all of them. He even talked **** on my mom right after she died and had the nerve to say im just like her. Then my dad had to put his two cents in and get mad at me over something that was his fault and say im just like her too.

I was visiting my cousins (my moms sister's children). They were showing the family picture album. It has pictures of my mom when she was young and was she ever beautiful. WOW. I told my aunt that I had never seen those pictures and I thought my mom in those pictures was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. My aunt said "If you think she was beautiful then, let me show you some of national magazines she modeled for". Moms pictures in those magazines just blew me away. I had not idea mom had ever been a model. She had never told me about that? I ask my aunt if she could make me a copy of mom's pictures so I could put them on the wall in my room and she agreed to do so. Do you think my mom would have a problem with me putting her pictures on my room at home as I am so proud of her? Can anyone think of a reason mom never told me she was a model and had appeared in national magazines?

When I was married to Joe, my mother considered him the son she never had. She really really liked him and he felt the same about her. Those feelings did not change after our divorce and that was OK with me. Anything that will bring mom happiness I am for. We had a friendly divorce and we did not have any children. Mom's favorite thing in the whole world is going out to a restaurant for a meal and Joe takes her out to eat a least once a month, usually to a high end restaurant. Her favorite restaurant is Ruth Chris. She says the steaks there are to die for. When Joe takes her to Ruth Chris, she can not help herself. She has to email me about how much she enjoyed going there and how great the meal was. I told her one day that I would like to enjoy a steak there but it was way out of my budget to eat at Ruth Chris. Mom said, why don't you join us the next time we go. I would really like to do that but I was afraid it would be awkward for Joe or he would not want me there. Mom said I will ask him and see what he says. Mom asked Joe and got back to me that Joe would be happy if I joined them for dinner. Should I do it? It seems kind of awkward to go out to eat with your ex husband and your mother. Is it?

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 4 by 4 with 315000 miles on it. It needs a little bit of work done to it upwards to about $500. Possibly more. I've had a lot of work done to it over the years so it could very well run for another couple years with no problem or it could keep throwing issue after issue and nickel-and-diming me for small things. But it has a lot of new stuff like shocks water pump fuel pump tires, etc. I have a car now and I have car payments and my car needs new tires soon too. I don't even really drive the truck anymore. But when I need it I'm going to need it for example if I have to move also I burn firewood in the winter so I might need it to get wood but a lot of people depiver anyways. The only problem is I can only get about 1500 for it. My buddy told me it's worth a lot more. Should I take the money I figured if I ever needed a truck I could always get a newer nicer one and spend a little more money into it so I wouldn't have to maintain an old crappy one. Please help I am so indecisive what would you do?

Okay, so I'm 24 and I'm currently married and I have one baby. My sister is 26 and she's doing nothing with her life. She goes out and parties every night pretty much, she was a porn star for a while, she hooks up with a lot of guys, she smokes pot, she drinks whiskey, etc. She's a cardiologist and practically everyone she works with calls her a slut because of the clothes she wears on the weekends. She wears short, tight dresses, tight crop tops, leggings that are really tight and make her butt show, really short shorts, etc. She can't just settle down with one guy and be happy. I don't understand how I'm younger, yet settled down before her. I've talked to her and told her that she needs to grow up and be mature but she doesn't listen to me. How can I get her to change?

Question: Should I talk to my son about this or just forget about it and move on?

I was late to leave for work and I forgot to lock the bathroom door and my teenage son walked in just as I was getting out of the shower. I quickly got a robe on but not before he said "Wow mom, you really have a beautiful body". It did not embarrass him any but it sure did me. He has not said a word about this since it happened. My sister's kids are way out of hand and my parents for some reason deal with her 2 kids that are 6 and 10. The 6 year old got kicked out if school, went to another 1 and missed 3 months straight, for hitting, cursing, running out their bus ect. The 6 year old jumps out of the car in traffic when they don't get what they want. The 10 year old spits on my parents carpet, tries to jump off higher buildings or floors, curses, beats on their younger sibling and bit my child 5 times on the arm when my kid went to visit my parents for no apparent reason as my mom had has said. If I would have known they were there my child wouldn't have went. It's THAT BAD! They both get out of their car seats throwing things, jumping inside or on the SUV. I took pictures of all the marks on my kid's arm. I don't know weather to call the cops or CPS about this. My parents are going to be furious. The kids take therapy from what I was told and are on meds. This is serious. I'm concerned. What should I do?

My whole life, I've been the one who has gotten the LEAST amount of attention in my family. I have two older sisters that have always had my parents attention and constantly wrapped around their fingers. I was the good kid who never got in trouble growing up and made good grades etc etc. I babysit my sisters kids all the time, help when I can, this that and the other. But EVERY time something important happens in my life, my oldest sisters ends up having something going on too and overshadows my stuff. Prom was overshadowed by her having a baby, senior year was consumed by her getting a divorce, couldn't even get my parents to go on a college visit with me. Now I'm engaged, and my mom was so excited to plan my other two sisters wedding, and I'm now 7 months out from mine and she still hasn't helped me. And now my sister has court dates and crap because she's fighting with her ex husband so even my wedding is being overshadowed to the point where I'm cancelling it and we are just going to elope. My sisters constantly tell me I'm a horrible person and so mean and such a disappointment and make so many mistakes and act like they're so perfect when all I ever do is watch their kids and help them whenever I can. They make me feel so bad about myself and treat me like I'm someone I'm not. I feel like I've finally had enough and want to walk away and not let them be such a part in my life but idk if that's wrong because they're family?

Ok so I'm gonna turn 15 in 4 months but I'm not sure if I'm really happy with the fact that I'm having a 15. It's just a lot of money which u could use for other things I mean is it really worth it for just one night and I know it's my culture but I just don't know. Also I have to perform a surprise dance and a waltz and a father daughter dance and I just don't feel comfortable doing that and being the center of attention plus it's really hard to find chambelanes and it's just a lot of stress. My dad went to our City Hall to solve a problem and ran into a woman who was the city clerk. My dad speaks spanish and knows a little english and his pronunciation isnt well. But this lady got all angry and started yelling at me dad saying "You don t understand anything!" then pointed at my soster who was there and said "Do you understand?! Do YOU speak english?!" My dad was offended by this and so am I. This is a person working for the city. This person should be respectful to all public. My dad is no different. I think ehat the women did was wrong. What should we do? I wouldn t want someone else being treated that way.

When my mother came back from work she began to tell me of a baby that she looks after at her job. She said the baby was always filthy, and came in with injuries such as scratches or discolorations. I told her the the baby might be being neglected, and to at least talk to its parents about it or call CPS. She said she wasn't going to risk losing her job, and then started preaching about 'giving it to god.' She also said the mom had six kids. So maybe she's just stressed with the other five and can't take care of the littlest one like she should? But what I think is If you can't take care of them properly, don't have them. This has been really bothering me. I'm unsure if this is serious, or i'm just being ignorant, because i'm 13 and have no experience about parenting.

At this point in my adult life I have come to the realization that I don t like my Mother. She is practically the opposite of what I respect in a Woman, and we hardly get along. On the other hand I find my Dad to be much easier to get along with. He is more logical, intelligent, calm, and actually listens to me. Whereas my Mom just yells, is not smart(but has common sense) complains to my Dad about things, and is a ball of nervous energy. At one point I used to yell at Her to get out of my hospital room(I had a stroke) because She made the atmosphere worse. The nurses andtherapists too see Her as an overbearing Mother. Which She is, and currently I am unable to distance myself physically and financially from Her. My mental health benefitted from not being so involved with Her previous to the stroke. However, now I m pretty much forced to see Her everyday and be under Her "Parental control." Which honestly She has always wanted. Because She always was critical of me growing up and attempted to sway me to agree with Her on my life decisions.

My mom and dad had always struggled throughout my childhood. We lived in extreme poverty. Cockroaches, hoarder house with 25 cats at one point, not enough food to eat and absolute filth everywhere. I always thought they were struggling to make things better, but they never got better. Fast forward, my mom and dad split up, and they lost their house and my mom had not worked in 15+ years. I reluctantly let her live with me across the country. She had nowhere else to go. She came clean to me and told me she had been doing meth for 21 years, since I was 4. I was so angry that I kicked her out. I realized this was why we were so bad off and why they always struggled to pay bills. She said the last time she used was to DRIVE HERE. Only a week or two before. She claims to have no withdrawal, but how do I know she isn't using still? I feel awful for kicking her out at times, but I don't want to find out in an even worse way that she is still using. I'm afraid of what could come from an addiction that long. Am I wrong for doing this? I'm tired of carrying her through life and helping her out of all the messes she gets herself into.

Question: Im starting to hate my mom?? She used to be so nice and loving but now shes yelling at my 24/7 and saying really rude things to me. Advice?

I feel like I'm the one who holds the family together when my mom and dad fight. They love each other but my mom overreacts. She just got a new job and they're not training her properly and she's stressed out because of it. She thinks my sister hates her and honestly I don't think my sister likes her very much. My mom always turns things to make it seem like we need to feel bad for her even if she's the one to start the argument. I'm 17 and I just feel like there's a huge burden on me and I don't get why. My mom is currently probably crying still in her room right now because of her job and a fight we got into today. My mom went to my room but I was changing so I literally didn't have an inch of clothing on my top half so I closed the door on her (privacy!!!) and I didn't know it was her until I heard her sobbing in her room. She even said "I hope I die in a car accident!" To me and my sister and then she slammed the door. I try to help her- I'm good at helping people with their feelings- but she just fights with me and I can never get through to her. I think she's developing a mood disorder but I don't know what to do because she'll never see anyone and I don't know how to bring it up. I don't know what to do.

I'm 14, and my sister is 8. She often wants me to scratch her back while I'm sitting down and watching TV. She'll sit with me on the recliner chair and have me scratch her back and play with her hair. Ok well I was helping out a friend who was practically homeless. She had no where to stay because her father kicked her out. And everyone else did not want her at her house. Well she lived with us during several months and during here stay I would drive her everywhere. To job interviews to work, to the store and just everywhere. While she was in my home she was lazy never helped clean. So we had to tell her to leave she lived with us almost 5 months. Well her step brother agreed to have live with him if she paid rent. Well her dad came and got her. But before that she had lots of trash and I told her "hey please take with you, do not leave it here I don't have access to a dumpster" Basically we have our own land we don't have trash guys who pick up our trash. Well she said ok. But when her dad came she took only what she wanted and literally left all her trash in the house a lot of it. A suit case 2 bags full of clothes and a bag of trash full of her notebooks. Well I managed to get a hold of her address. Is it a good idea if I stop by at night and just drop of garbage in her front door?No knocking or telling her just simply dropping it off then leaving. Would it be a bad thing?Can I get in trouble? Or should I do it regardless. Oh and not to mention she was rude to me and my mother when she left.Cussed me out and said she would call the police for harassment. when all we did was helping with a roof over her head and food plus a job. I am just so mad she never said thank you. We never were bad people my intention was to truly help her. But when she left back with her family she started to think she was better than the rest of us. She was at the bar with one of her new boyfriends and she told my parents friend (who is also wicken) that this man opened up her third eye and thumped her on the head at the bar and a demonic queen is now inside her and she walked all over pretending she's possed and her boyfriend is possessed too. My parents and me aren't supposed to know about this and apparently she's been switching to the evil queen inside her and then back to herself and ****. Okay so yesterday me and my dad got into an argument which escalated into him throwing and hitting me like 6 times in the face he kept flllowing me I didn't touch him well I pushed him after he hit me the first time but in self defense and he hit me like 6 tines right in the face really trying to hurt me so the police are now asking me if I want to press charges and my mom is so scared because she relies on my father for everything money wise she can't support 2 brothers alone and I will need to move out soon I'm 18 btw so what should I do? My mom says she disownes me for calling the cops on him and getting him arrested and Idk what to do my dad hasn't ever really hit me before but the last 6 months has been verbal abuse negativity putting me down I many ways and now he's physically abusing so what should I do help ?????

I screwed up. Bad. Caught drinking, went to traffic court for a speeding ticket, and sliver of condom wrapper found in the trash within 3 weeks. My mom and dad are incredibly disappointed in me and I understand, I let them down, no excuses. I'm planning to write them a letter, break up with my girlfriend, and lose some of my friends soon. What should I add in my letter to let them know I'm changing? As a parent what would you want to hear from your discrase of a son to comfort you? Thanks :(

He waits days between showers, he never brushes his teeth, picks his nose, etc. He's 19 btw, he recently graduated high school but he doesn't have a job. Worst part is I have to share a room with him and he literally sits in bed all day, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't changed his bed sheets in over a month. After going through IVF and having our ultrasound, we have learnt that we have three viable fetuses (fetusi?). It's too early to know the gender, and we're thinking we may want to be surprised because we learnt the gender of our first two children and this will most likely be my last pregnancy. Hi so I don t have a really good relationship with my brother, Most of the time he just punches me in the back or he throws me down onto the ground because he got mad at me for doing something, it s seems like I m complaining but I m not. Ex: Today I was going onto the computer to do some stuff and then he comes says " I Turned it on first so It s mine" I thought that "well you never told me so how is it fair that I get off?" Then I try to reason with him and he just throws me off the computer then i take his phone, lightly hit it to the ground then he comes rushing over, pushs me onto the ground and then kicks me in the back. Sometimes we get along but most of the time he is just mean to me. At school to others he s " nice " but at home he s just the opposite . I need help on what to do. I m in 12 and he is 15 and our parents have told him multiple times to use your mouth not hands, feet etc, but he doesn't listen. Thank you

I woke up late this morning and didn't eat my oatmeal because she had made it an hour before and it wasn't very good. She was mad at me for waking up late (we have nothing to do today) and now it's 1pm and I haven't eaten anything since 9am because she won't let me. Did I deserve this punishment? I'm 16.

How do I stop carrying these insults with me daily? I still feel the hurt so much. She doesn't do it now because she is grown up but as a kid I didn't know she was saying it because it is what kids say. My parents dicsiplined her for it but then it got worse by her just not talking to me. Then when she went away to college she grew up and we lived happily ever after. Yet, as an adult these hurtful personal beliefs remain and I am 38 now and in counseling. I never make friends because my sister told me no one would like me because of my stutter and I am so annoying. So along with the therapy I am getting how do I break free from this?

The car only holds seven people so my mom asked to double buckle with me I replied by saying "may my sister double buckle with you so i can sit next to my friends?" My daughter is 20 years old and she is engaged and has a baby. I have recently talked to her and she said that their baby was planned.but we barely got to talk because she left. We always fight when we talk because I just don't like to accept the fact that she is only 20 years old and has a baby. She is currently going to college and she is on her 2nd year of her 10th and I have to admit, to not have a career yet, she is doing good. She has a house, pays for bills, can support her baby, etc. with the help of her boyfriend though, but she is doing good to not have help from me or her mother.
