Question: I need to cope, or something similar. Anything at all.? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 01:33 PM PST I ve been raised in an abusive household (verbal, physical) and I am very afraid of my parents. I think of moving as soon as I am 18, but I have 2 years until then. My father has told me he can kill me and/or do anything to me and nobody could stop him a couple of times. I am really so terrified. I am scared of speaking someone around about this too, because I m afraid he ll do something or my mother will. My mother just ignores everything. One time when police was called due to noises, she sent them back saying I was only sick. And I ve been feeling very suffocated lately. I don t know what to do or who to talk with. What should I do?
Question: My mom grounded me for defending myself? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 01:00 PM PST I'm 17 years old and live with my mom. A few days ago after school this kid in 12th grade kept slapping me upside the head so all I did was just shove him to get him away from me and my mom saw me from the car. The thing is she even saw him slapping me and she still grounded me because "2 wrongs don't make a right". My mom is real religious and I know she just wants the best for me but it bothers me that I can't even defend myself, plus the fact that she saw this kid slapping me and she just sat in the car and watched. This one incident happened when I was 12 where this kid stole my scooter off our porch. The thing is I watched him do it through the window and I knew who he was but my mom wouldn't let me go outside to stop him. Also she wouldn't call the kids parents or the police because she didn't wanna start trouble so the kid ended up keeping it. I'm just sick of being a wimp. Even when I was younger she stopped letting me go to the park because kids played football there and she says it's "a violent sport" even though it was 2 hand touch.
Posted: 11 Jan 2018 12:26 PM PST He's wicked old he's like 36. And IM SOO ANNOYED THST WORD IS FOR FIVE YEAR OLDS. And he said it fricken in front of my friends. And I got mad and started yelling at him and he said I was having a temper tantrum. WHAT IS WEONG WITH HIS BRAIN. LITERALLY I WAS JUST DAYING I WAS TOO OLD TO BE CALLED THAT. Do you agree that he is weird and stupid and that I'm way too old for that
Posted: 11 Jan 2018 12:04 PM PST I have to work and take care of everyone? And my cousin who is 17 has to do the same with his 7 younger siblings. But everyone says it's fair and normal I just don't get it what do I do
Question: Is it right that my stepdad uses the car even when he doesn’t pay gas? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 11:54 AM PST So I don't have a car that I own myself and I'm 20 years old . My step dad bought a car last year that he said he was going to use to go out. But he has his own truck to work and he mostly uses it to go out. But the car that he bought I usually drive it ever since I got my license and that happened last year as well. So anyway I do have a small babysitting job where I get paid and I drive that car to the person house. My step dad tends to use the car at times and he wastes the gas basically he uses up the gas and doesn't pay anything for gas. I mean the car uses up gas very quickly. It's an old car its a 4Runner 1998. I do have to pay for the gas and I barely get alot of money. I don't mind paying I'm just saying that he likes to use everything and not pay back.
Question: Problem with decision making? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 11:19 AM PST Today, I went jacket shopping and my mom picked one jacket and my dad one. I had to choose. They were so pretty and I just didn t want either parent to hate the jacket I choose. In the end, I didn t choose any. This has happened many times, with clothes, glasses, even notebooks! HOW CAN I BREAK THIS HORRIBLE HABIT?!
Question: My mom is crazy and blaming me for my dog's death? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 11:12 AM PST My dog is a lab. He died on Tuesday and it has completely broken my heart because weve had him for twelve years. He was almost thirteen years old. On Saturday, he stopped eating. Our vet told him his organs were failing. Because of this, he lost a ton of weight. A ton. In such a short time. We were going to put him down because of this, but he ended up passing away a few hours before we supposed to take him into the vet. My mom doesnt live here. She left us. She's hardly asked about the dog since. We let her come into our house to see him on Monday where she agreed to put him down. When he passed, we said she could come to the crematorium with us and drop him off. When it came time to go, she didnt answer the phone. We called so many times Eventually she turned her phone off. She didnt care. yesterday, she somehow got into the crematorium (despite not being with us when we dropped the dog off. ) and took pictures of his dead body. and posted them. I had to look at pictures of my dead dog. Then, she claims my father and I starved the dog and didnt feed him. That we let him suffer. Now, all her friends are calling the humane society and police to get my father arrested and take away our other dog. We tried to report the post to get those awful pictures taken down, but they remain up. I've begged her to delete them. She wont. She's humiliating my poor dog to get back at my father. I dont know what to do. I've never been so depressed. Idk what to do. please help me

Posted: 11 Jan 2018 10:03 AM PST For example, you as a man COULD marry and have children with a really hot woman—except you might worry that your children will turn out to be as cowardly, wishy-washy and lacking in strength-of-character as she is, if in fact she's that way. Same if you're a woman contemplating a gorgeous man who is, unfortunately, weak-in-character. @bocephusmcguire - whether it is hereditary or learned is irrelevant as per the question--especially since, if it is ONLY learned, wouldn't you be concerned the children would LEARN such behavior from that parent?
Question: My little sister and her friends keep hitting me in the nuts? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 09:36 AM PST So i'm 15 and my little sister is 11 and she and her friends keep on punching and kicking me in the balls as a joke whenever they can. I told my little sister to stop but she said no and when i lightly hit her back one time my mum shouted at me and blamed me! What do i do?
| Question: Should i get my dad a retirement gift? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 09:30 AM PST My dads retirement from work is Feb 22nd and his coworkers are giving him a party. | Question: How do I get my dad to stop wearing my clothes? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 07:44 AM PST My dad keeps wearing my clothes. I have a white tanktop and some denim shorts in my closet, and my dad often just goes into my room and puts them on, and leaves my room. When he borrows my girly clothes, he often gets them dirty. When we go out, he often wears my clothes. Everybody just laughs, yet I am embarrassed to death. Also, I don't know if this is normal or not, but when I ask him to stop wearing my clothes, he just laughs at me. Such behavior is so embarrassing! Really, what do you say I should do about this? |
Question: How to fix my damaged reputation? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 06:07 AM PST So my mother in law is staying with us for a while bcs her house is being renovated. This is my routine during the holidays: get up at 6 and cook breakfast specially for them. Then they get up, bathe, eat, then go back to sleep. Meanwhile, I clean the whole house and go to work. I made sure I made enough for lunch too. At around 5, I got home, and cook dinner for her and my husband (bcs my daughter dont eat dinner). And if she like the dishes, at around 8, she will eat again. I initially planned to not eat dinner like my daughter, but bcs they always have leftovers and I dont like throwing food away, I always finish it. The other day she accidentally told me that when she was staying at her daughter's house, she got nothing but biscuit and milo for breakfast for the entire week. Then this morning, she was talking with her other daughter in law over the phone, and I overheard her saying that she RARELY eats in my house. I was really angry and texted the daughter in law that it wasnt true, but I'm sure the news had spread to her other kids and in laws. I don't know what she has against me. Whenever she got sick or need help, I'm the one she always turn to (she never wanted to burden her 7 kids, instead she turn to me, the only daughter in law she has that actually takes care of her), but whenever she talks to other people, she always badmouth me. What should I do?
Question: What the hell do I do with my parents? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 06:01 AM PST as soon as I was able to I left my homeland at age 20 for good. My parents, especially my mother who has been treating my like trash since I was a kid has now decided to apologize and become my friend over the phone from over there but guess what? She still treats me like trash and I am 40 now 20 years away from their twisted sick culture and especially my family which is the cause why I left really. With them, I can never be right. Everything is my fault. So I left now she decided to be a friend and she is pushing her communist soviet crappy mentality on me and I can't stand it. We look at the same thing and see totally different things. If I told you how she looks at things you'd say thats wrong. Thats what my wife says anyway. What the hell do I do? How do I end this? I feel like an emotional hostage. I feel good when I get to rant about things with my mother over the phone but things go quickly south when she starts to argue about stupid things. My Dad and her like to argue with me about things that are totally unacceptable. Anyway, I want to end this because we have 2 normal (no argument conversations) and one really bad phone chat and in the past I ended up in the hospital due to blood loss and anemia.problem? I get so stressed and strained after they argue with me that I has bloody stool and I loose so much blood that I need iron transfusion IV. What should I do? Around them I feel very unhappy. I think about murdering myself and doing drugs, alcohol, hurting myself, and super depressed. I can't stop thinking about how they offended me and all those times they abused me as a child comes to mind. How do I get rid of this
Posted: 11 Jan 2018 05:14 AM PST To start off, I am 14-years-old and I have really old conservative parents. My mother is 59 and my father is 77. They are Trump supporters and they hate Mexicans, black people, gay people, and they are mean. And they even gave me an ugly old man's name which is Harold. Isn't that embracing? My parents act like we're living in the 1950s. We go to church every Sunday, at the dinner table we can't use phones, I have to ask if I can be excused from the dinner table. It's so annoying. They try to act so classy and they frown upon the way I act because I like rap music and I use modern slang like "lit" and that seems to bother them. What should I do? How can I make them stop? I wish they were dead.
Question: My little sisters keeps crying? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 04:44 AM PST So my uncle died when we were kids, we're teens now and I don't really remember him. Neither does my sister. We remember some things but not much. I remember we were both lost at his funeral, we didn't cry we weren't even sad. But now suddenly she starts crying for him. She hears a song and starts tearing up. She says that it reminds her of him, she doenst know why she just remembers the little that she does about him and thinks how's he's gone and starts to get really sad. Why is this??

Question: My parents think it's no big deal that I was sexually abused. What should I do? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 02:51 AM PST My brother touched me when I was a little girl and they never called the cops and they even allowed him to continue living in the house. My mom says it shouldn't've affected me because her sexual abuse never affected her. My dad told me to get over it and I screamed "I can't" and then my mom said that she did and there is no reason why I shouldn't. My parents knew my brother touched girls in the wrong way. They openly admit that he touched my younger sisters butt and breasts and done nothing about it. I am going through so much trauma right now. My dad says I'm dwelling on it and I need to just get over it. My dad asked me what he did to me, which I explained 500 times. I told him and he shrugged it off and said "that's nothing, get over it". My freaking brother touched me. The difference is that he touched my private area unlike my sisters. My mom says I need to quit talking so negatively about my brother and forgive him, but I will NEVER forgive him. I self harm all the time and no one knows why. My mom says I'm a big baby who needs to grow up. I have severe BPD and anxiety. I trust no one and will never trust anyone. I only trust my therapist but I don't trust that she won't abandon me. Because everyone does. Please help me. I can't move out because I'm mentally disabled. What should I do?? I really don't want to leave home because I have a HUGE fear of abandonment. I get extremely suicidal and violent when I feel abandoned. I'm an adult by the way, so I can't call CPS. Nor do I want to. I love my parents

Posted: 11 Jan 2018 02:30 AM PST I was driving my dads brand new camaro in the rain and i gave it too much gas merging on the freeway and i spun out and hit a couple cars then hit a guard rail. What the effing hell were you thinking you god dam moron" i just hung up at that point. He didnt even ask if i was ok, (i was). Does he care more about his car than me? | Question: Mom controlling my life? Posted: 11 Jan 2018 12:52 AM PST Hi I am 17 years old. I graduated from highschool last year June 2017 and not knowing what to do after highschool . I was scared but I applied to university only because my mom wanted me too. I didn't want to go ,but I did because my mom pressured me too and I had no choice. Now it's been one semester and I hate it. I'm only 17 years old and I am in debt. I want to take a break and figure out what I really want to do. I am very unhappy . She doesn't want me to do that. I just want her to realize this is my life and a career that I'm going to live with for the rest of my life. What should I do? I am thinking about moving with my dad who lives in another city. All she does is control my decisions. I am very scared for my future but it's not helping when she's dictating my every move. What do you think is the best decision for me? (Yes I have a job) |
Question: How can I help my sister ? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 11:49 PM PST My sister and her husband are having their first baby in July she's been really sick lately she's been having really bad morning sickness at 3 or 4 in the morning. Then it stops the rest of the day. I feel bad for her I hate seeing her sick. How can I help her ?
Question: How do I have a conversation with my mother without her yelling? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 10:59 PM PST For as long as I can remember I've never been able to have a decent conversation with my mom without her shouting/cursing/yelling. She's not really someone I can tell anything to and I don't trust her. She tells me I can tell her anything but when I do come to her for something she shakes her head and gets upset immediately. It's like she takes everything I say personally even if it has nothing to do with her. I really want to sit down and have a talk with her but I fear it'll be useless and make things worse.

Question: I don’t know what I want to do with my life? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 10:50 PM PST I just got out of prison Sunday. My brothers hooked me up and got me a room for rent, and a cell phone and clothes. I can tell they really want me to stay out of trouble and away from drinking (that's what brought me to prison) but I don't know what to do. I have no job skills, so I been looking for labor jobs but found none. I'm drinking again because I get depressed and I honestly hate living in my room. I feel uncomfortable for some reason. Part of me just wants to go back to prison for the rest of my life. It's easy there. I mean I have no girlfriend so I'm really lonely (main reason I'm drinking) and I'm having no luck with the job search. I just don't know what to do. My mother died two years ago and ever since I've gone down the wrong path.
Question: Can CPS get involved for making their child emotionally unstable? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 10:17 PM PST Let's say the parent uses death threats towards their child. They're not in immediate danger but this child feels unsafe at home. They feel scared of their parents, fearing that they'll one day physically hurt them.
Question: Mother and son always fighting. Is our relationship over? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 10:10 PM PST My mom and I constantly fight. All throughout my child and even now. As of recently I've tried to talk it out and I've realized she won't stop. I'm very calm about it but she can't help her anger. Now that I'm going start college and start my actual life. I realized that this clearly broken relationship may be over with once I'm not obligated to be with her. As of now we barely talk at all and there is no connection at all. I genuinely feel no love and can care less what happens to her. Given you take my word that she is the bad guy and I'm the good guy and not just being a spoiled brat, is it possible to care about her again? If anyone has gone though something similar please share. (TAKE NOTE: I do not hate women now because of this. I take love and relationships very seriously because of this. I want to be the parent that mine weren't. I know people have it way harder but I just want an answer to my situation. I don't want to be attacked in the answer section.) Examples of insults: (Suicide threats to an 8 year old and uses it until now) (Insulting my relationship with girlfriend) (Regularly calling me a POS pretty much) (Fights with my family a lot too primarily with my Abuela, I stick up for them) (Saying horrible things about my cousins, primarily the pregnant and yes she insulted the unborn baby too) (etc)
Question: Is it suspicious for a man in his 20’s to have an obsession about 12-16 year olds? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 09:56 PM PST If tweens and youth are always on his mind 24/7, hangs around them, looks them up online, etc. would you consider this creepy? Also, if he also talks to parents who have a child that is 12 through 16.
Question: How Can I Stop Seeing My Father? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 09:51 PM PST All my life, my father has put me down and emotionally and mentally abused me. It has taken such a horrible toll on me, and I live with anxiety and depression at 16. However, after around 10 years old my parents divorced, and ever since, I had to obviously see my father on weekends. Around last year, I was tired of tolerating the every weekend thing. I started speaking up to him, and since I struggle with anxiety, it's hard for me to do so. Late August, I started refusing to go to my father's apartment. He has a horrible temper and is extremely bipolar (one minute he tells me I should follow my heart, and the next, he threatens to call the police on me.) so the things he says really confuse me at times. I struggle with low self esteem (as many teen girls do) and he constantly puts me down about my knowledge in school, weight etc. I haven't been going to his apartment lately, and I think he's had enough. He claims to have a court order that will make me go to his house and says that he will, once again, call the cops if I refuse. The questions I have are: Is it possible for my father to get a court order without having my mother involved or attending a trial? Is there any way I can quit visiting my father on the weekends for good? Will police officers do anything to me or my father (force me to go to my father's apartment) if I refuse to go? Please be positive and keep rude comments to yourself, as I'm very worried that I'll be forced to keep visiting him. Thank you :)
Question: Ways to cope with having little space in a house? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 09:41 PM PST I'm 17 years old turning 18 in April and I'm facing so much stress because I have no space where I live. Me and my mom moved in with my aunt a year ago and since then it's been absolute torture! There's too many people living in a little house I have to share a bed with my mom and she gets on to me every time the room gets messy and goes through all my stuff and every time I try to shower or wash clothes I can't because someone else is using it. I've had to use public showers and go to the laundromat on my free time. What makes it worse is my aunt treats me like crap! She is always getting on to me for everything and she makes my mom distrust me so i can't go out and do anything fun. I work two jobs just so I don't have to be stuck at home with no space and being yelled at all the time. I have a car and plan to get a better paying job and move out when I'm 18 with a roommate. Any ideas on how to cope until then?
Question: Can a 16 year old legally live away from home if they’re at risk? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 08:50 PM PST Let's say the welfare of the teenager is very alarming but they don't live with their parents. They live on their own. Will CPS or the police require an adult to live with them?
Question: How to convince my parents to let me go on a road trip alone? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 08:37 PM PST I am a 17 year old girl and I want to travel this summer. I am going on the trip alone but will be spending most nights and days with extended family along the way. How do I get my parents to agree to this?
| Question: Is my mom rather "not smart"?? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 08:26 PM PST OK adult, college student. Still living with parents. But I only live with them for 4 months a year. I have my own apt in another city. When I was home this year. My parents hired a bunch of "uneducated" door carpenter to replace the door. Oh man, these people are a true "***###" and "rude". One of the idiot making a "disrespectful" remark when I was leaving to work (yes I work at a computer shop for the summer). It was about 10 AM in the morning and I was going to my car in the drive way. This m@ron said "why are you leaving to work so late, bos?".... I told my mom that the people she hired are ***### and morons. FYI, the computer shop opens at 11 AM and close at 9 PM, so I have to leave at 9PM on a Saturday Night!!! yes on a Saturday Night and this moron kinda made a remark that I'm a lazy bump.... (kinda ironic). But however, because she has a lack of intelligence, she kept hiring those mor@ns for 3 months after the incident. I kinda hate my mom for ignoring me and for not being on my side. she is kinda slow... anyway..... sometimes she just "has no idea" what to do when our family is in a problem (for example, my dad went sick and she did not what to do with him). and I was so pissed at my mom because she put "doors" over her son..... so stupid... I go to a university about 5 hours drive from my place. So I have my own apt and I pay my own rent. Unlike those "rich kids" who got monthly allowance from their "rich parents". | Question: Should I cut ties with my parents and family? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:44 PM PST Soo here's some quick background info my mom and dad are separated, been that was every since I was 6 another my family is soo small we all live in the same state. I never had a good childhood growing up as like some kids would have, never had a bday party in whole life, mostly stayed to myself all of my life growing up since I didn't have a close bond with my mom or dad. My dad barley talks to me on the phone and if he do he always drunk and curse me out and only came to see me from Texas when I was 9 every since then I haven't seen and he barley calls me but makes time to go on vacation. Now with my mom is very simple, she is not what I called a good parent, she used to bring all kind of men home and her purpose was to them to help her with rent and money in general. She's basically unemployed (been like that for a long time) and lives off men and her check. She had men that were sex offenders around me, she would find out and still keep them around her children, men with felonies you name it. She treats me like **** always puts me down, think I'm gonna steal her men away. My family is toxic they talk bad about everybody and smile in your face. I will be starting college in the summer you think I should cut ties with them when I do leave for school? Need some advice |
Question: What does all this mean? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:37 PM PST he said it won't work out like 3 months ago but he constantly stares at me and looks at m. He also fidgets, plays with his hair, face, fixes his clothes. When i caught him looking he also smiled and said hi one day when we ran into eachother. Wouldn't he ignore me if he had no feelings and thought he wouldn't be together anymore? we were fighting and he insulted my moms clothes and i insulted his moms. so when i texted him 2 months after he said it would never work between us and he wouldn't allow himself ot have feelings for me again and wouldn't forgive mebecause of what i said and i . Then why is he staring so much and now smiling?
Question: How can I ever tell my daughter that she was sexually abused as a baby? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 07:02 PM PST I adopted my 15 year old as a baby. She was already sexually abused by a pedophile foster parent at a few months old. I love her too much to ever traumatize my girl and we're the only family she's ever known. I feel guilty for keeping this a secret. My daughter still has no clue but questioned me about her past. It didn't feel right to tell her when she was younger.
Posted: 10 Jan 2018 06:56 PM PST I know foster kids are a minority since there's a larger number of good and loving parents compared to the abusive and neglectful. But what's the percentage of foster children?
Question: HELP my parents won't let me play games after VCE? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 06:35 PM PST I got a poor ATAR so my parents banned me from ever playing games until I finish college. It's extremely unfair and I hate them. **** my parents.
Question: Do older sisters have the right to be the boss and parent? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 06:09 PM PST Because I have a older sister who says you can't go to Reno or vegas because it is expensive and she yells at me and why do older sisters have to yell when they drop their brother at school and scold their brothers like my sister scold me for no reason Because one time she picked me up from work and she said my mom wants us to go king soopers. And when I was shopping she wanted me to get the cart she yelled at me for no reason why do older sisters have to be strict and when I was in the car with her I said I never went to san Diego for vacation she said you never went to Chicago And she kind of yells like my teacher i have a single parent
Question: My parents won’t let me game on my laptop because of my poor ATAR on VCE (33)? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 06:06 PM PST So I didn't do well on my VCE (31 Atar) at all and my parents banned me from playing games forever. Like come on that's definitely something I cannot control! Yes I did not perform great but taking away my hobby after the results is stupid. My parents are now telling my grandparents to now tell them if they see me on my laptop playing games. They won't get me a new laptop. My laptop is so underpowered that I can barely run counter strike global offensive! Also I don't have internet at home either so whenever I go to my grandmas house I always use her internet because we don't have it at home. This year the only reason why I did not well because I was playing in my laptop all day and that was when I get to go there frequently, I always lie to my parents saying that I am studying, however I'm not. I hate my parents... they are extremely unfair! I have the money because I been working and I have the money but they won't allow me. I'm eighteen years old now.
Question: What Can I do if my ex is refusing to inform me about my child’s welfare? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:19 PM PST We currently have joint legal custody. And he lives 3 hours away from me so visitation is hard. his mother cares for our son while he works. That's what I have assumed because I have not been told otherwise. Lately court ordered evening phone time has been a miss, father interferes on a regular basis by engaging with my son purposely and hinder our time talking. So I called his mother's landline while he was at work so I could have my phone time then. It was at this time that his mother told me she wasn't watching him and hadn't been since the day before at least. Now, the evening before during phone time, my son sounded very off and unusually tense, sad and scared at the same time. I asked him how it was at his gramdma's that day and he said he wasn't there today and then quickly changed his response to yes. I thought it was strange and decided to leave it alone. With today happening, I emailed his father confronting him and demanding to know what was going on and why I wasn't informed about this or sought my approval of the change prior as he's suppose to. His father flat out lied and accused me of reacting dramatically, he claimed he was watching him. I didn't believe him so I called his employer and they confirmed he was working. I confronted and again demanded to know what is happening and he only responded by saying he was going to ignore me I'm extremely concerned about my child's well being. My ex had him lie to me and is himself continuing to lie. What Can I do?
Question: My mom wants me to clean and not go to school? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:13 PM PST She is very annoying and all she cares is to much cleaning, She got mad at me for not cleaning the basement and since she knows I love school, But I do and hate the house. She rather have me not go to school for a month and clean the whole house, Is that a stupid reason for me to not go to school? We have a bad past for years so I rather live in a better place than a rude place.
Question: Does this count as a reference to female master--tion? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 05:04 PM PST I am 13, and am wondering if this is what I think it is. At the dinner table with my mom and her fiance, we began talking about his brothers. I told my moms fiance that, "You're brother is pretty feminine. But that's okay, because femininity is great." He was offended by that, so replied with, "oh, and what have you been doing with in your bedroom with your feemminiinniity (femininity) all day?" They laughed. I have never masterbated. I am quite frankly, disturbed. He has made jokes about those kind of things before, in front of my mother no less.
Question: My 17 year old twin brother keeps sleeping in my room...I’m a girl and he’s a boy? Posted: 10 Jan 2018 04:48 PM PST It doesn't bother me because I have a pull out bed in my room that's separate from my bed so it's not like he's not sleeping in my bed with me, but for several weeks now he's been sleeping in my room almost every single night. We're close, we've always been close, but it's still weird. He'll knock on my door at around 11:00 at night and say "can I sleep in here? I don't want to be alone in my room". Then one night before we fell asleep he said "thank you for always being here for me, I love you". Before that, he hadn't told me he loves me in several years. He's never been scared of the dark or anything like that, he slept alone in his room for the first 16 years of his life, but all of a sudden he's completely changed. He's not a wimp either....he's like a typical teenage boy. What do you think is going on with him??

I havent talked to her as she really doesn't want to talk to many people right now.. what do you think? |
Posted: 10 Jan 2018 04:34 PM PST (English is my second language by means my English is not perfect). I am almost 30 (female).I never had a real job. I came to another country 4.5 years ago to study a master programme. My classes are already completed but I still do not write my thesis because somehow I think I am too stupid to write. I live with the money which my parents send, this money is enough for only rent, food and my insurance. Therefore I do not go to holidays or any other fancy activities. My parents are retired and because of sending money to me they cannot have holidays, nice trips and so on, basically they are sad because of being poor. When I graduated from the university, I couldnt find any job and started to drink heavily. When I was 24, I cut my wrist to kill myself and when I was leaving the flat my father saw me and they brought me to the hospital. First time I saw him crying. After one year, when I knew my parents were going to holiday (so nobody will be home to save me) I took all my antidepressants (around 50) and plus all the painkillers I found. But they had to cancel their trip somehow and found me, and I woke up in the hospital. Then I decided I cant live with them with whole my depression because they are so nice to have me. Now I am here for almost 5 years in a new country, no suicide attempts but I cannot earn my life myself and they still had to send me money while they are already poor. Therefore I think, if they did not have me, would they be happier?

Posted: 10 Jan 2018 04:07 PM PST 1. Her daughter lied as a kid about things like choirs, homework, where she was going, and in the course of gossip distorted stuff. 2. Her daughter got pregnant at 19 (baby was put up for adoption but they remain in touch as it was an open adoption). A previous pregnancy a year earlier ended in a miscarriage before she even knew she was pregnant yet. 3. She lost a job cause she has depression and/or anxiety and so got in the habit of calling in sick when nervous/depressed. 4. She can get a little snappy when irritated. 5. Because of a history of being bullied and school and rejected by her mother she pulls away from people too quick. She is aged 24 years old. So is she horrible or are these normal flaws? Her mother says she is the worst child she has ever dealt with (this includes worse then her husband's nephew who pulled a knife on his mother and was arrested multiple times and stole thousands from his parents I am told).
