I liked this guy and asked him would he go out with me he said no I was too ugly but would love to date my friend. They would call me ugly and use me to get to my friend or sis. This one guy came up to my friend flirting with her and getting her to laugh at me and calling me ugly. My friend didn't laugh and told him to stop but he wouldn't. When I'm with my sister people would call me the ugly sis and when I was with my friend people would call me the ugly one when referring to me. I was standing in line and I heard 2 people talking they were looking at me and my friend. 1 asked who were they talking about and I heard them go "no the ugly one" I looked at the person when they said and they hurried and changed the subject. I hate going out because I don't like being compared. |

Today she forgot to bring the instrument that was needed for the lecture in class and she was using the instrument with me and I don't like sharing at all. I told her "I never take out that instrument from my school bag because it is small and we needed for the class always" and she said "Are you saying I should've had with me all the time?" I was telling her "Yes, including the red one and I didn't know the red one's name" and she said "Well you should learn the name of it first. I went to a college, but later on decided I did not like it there and I was also becoming friends with one of the girls I fell out with before I started sixth form, so I decided to move back to my old school. She used to say that it wasn't the same without me and that I should move back because she missed me, however now I have moved back, I feel left out once again because I've missed a lot and she has another friend who I'm not really close with, but they're like best friends and have their own inside jokes and I'm kind of on the sidelines and don't know what they're talking about half the time. I don't know what to do because I feel miserable being around them because they leave me out, but on the other hand I don't want to be on my own, what do I do? |

For as long as I've known, I have always been scared to talk to others. I only remember being able to talk normally to others when I was 4 years old. However, now I am scared. When people start to talk to me, things get blurry and I am unable to pay attention in a panic. All I can do is laugh or say stuff like "oh yeah" or "ok", or "what the ****". I feel like they're judging me behind their back because of my answer. I get sweaty and feel hot. I'm not any better at starting the conversation myself. My parents have had me sheltered for my whole life. I've never gone to the movies, or the park, or to hang out. Now that they do let me, I feel like there's no point. All I can say is that I watch anime, want to get good grades, or play video games. Therefore, I have no normal conversation starters. People at my school juat aren't like that. People are constantly talking about social media stuff, messages, or plans. And all I do is just stand around and I literally feel invisible. Please help. I just want friends or people to talk to. Someone who can understand me or text me. I feel so alone recently :( |

Roommate A goes to work or school in the morning, and she comes back and sleeps THE ENTIRE AFTERNOON. every. single. day. it's not like she doesn't at night, either. she's usually in bed by 10 or 11 and doesn't have to get up until 9 or 10. Normally I wouldn't complain about my roommate's sleeping habits because they wouldn't make a difference to me. But roommate A is ALWAYS complaining to roommate B for being loud or having friends over or watching TV or listening to music in the afternoon. I don't really think it's fair because it's not like roommate B is doing all these things at 3 in the morning. I think the afternoon is a perfectly reasonable time to watch TV and it's not roommate B's fault that Roommate A can hear the tv through the wall (the walls are thin, she watches it at a normal volume). roommate A is acting like such a grump towards roommate B and it's getting on my nervous. A wants me to talk to B for her, but is she being reasonable? or are we not being reasonable for being "loud?" honestly, if it had been a handful of naps in the afternoon and she asked us to be quiet, it wouldn't be a big deal. but it's literally every day we have to have silence in the apartment from like 1-5. I occasionally take afternoon naps, but I never complain about noise because I understand other people are living their lives. also, you can just put on headphones. thoughts? it's getting on my *nerves not my nervous haha |

This guy is so irresponsible with money but, my friend didn't find out just how irresponsible he was until recently. So how it used to be is my friend would have this guy take care of all the bills even though they are all in my friends name. This guy acts like he has been taking care of all the bills but then my friend finds out that they are almost going to get evicted because he wasn't paying his part of rent for three months. They didn't get evicted BC my friends dad payed the 2,000 that was owed. On top of that though my friend finds out that they are behind on the car that is in my friends name but the BF uses and that they are behind on utilities that are also in my friends name but thought was getting paid but wasn't. So now they are broken up and the guy has been a total dick. My friend has tried to take off as much responsibility from him for the remainder of the time they have to be together. He is only responsible to pay off the payment plan on the utilities to get it current and of course the current utility bill plus his half of rent. My friend took over all other bills. But, today my friend found out that the BF didn't even pay the water and now they owe 400+ by the end of the month. What can my friend do to get out of this mess. My friend thinks ex bf is not going to help with rent again either and the apartment was co signed by my friends father so they really don't want an eviction. Ex doesn't care. |

They told me something different they said that its him that gets the money and not me. If you refer someone to the company they get the money. He had the same interview with the same HR lady has me and she told me something different. Even on the back of her business card it said 1 refer someone 2 they get hired 3 you get $75 after 60 days. I wasn't too mad at him about it because he got me a job. I also asked him why he told me something different. I did blow it off. I'm no longer friends with this guy anyway because the last time I was with him he was a selfish asshole. So who knows maybe he did lie about it. I'm just thinking how can you make this mistake. How can you lie to a friend that you have known for 20 years about this. |

Every time she sees me she has to talk about me and I can tell she's making fun of me. I ignored her the whole time she does it but today me and my friend were walking and we saw the girl. She was walking with someone and she saw me. We all were walking up the stairs. My friend, me, her and her friend. Soon as I walked in front of her , She immediately turned to her friend and whispered something. She was behind me but I can tell she was talking about me. My friend was behind her, I was in front of the girl and my friend saw her talking about me and yelled my name and said "she's trying to talk about you" and pointed at her. The girl got scared and hid the side of her face with her jacket and started walking really really fast. I looked at her but she was looking at the floor and she ran really fast passed me. We don't have great relationships with each other (sisters), and really never have. My parents live with one sister who happens to be the one I connect with the most and get along with best. The other two live in different states altogether. These two sisters are constantly, I mean really too much, thanking me for helping care for my Dad. First, he's our Dad why wouldn't I? 2nd, I am also a nurse (hospice nurse actually), so why wouldn't I? I know it sounds petty, but the relationships are pretty complicated, and truthfully, I don't think that the "thanks" are authentic at all. I have heard these two sisters talking about me, and having those you know..."secret, not so secret" conversations about me right in front of me etc... DUMB I know... I feel like it's high school. But, knowing that they have disdain (not sure why at this point) toward me, and that their "thanks" are coming from some other place other then genuine gratefulness... IT JUST IRKS ME to no end every single time they say "Thank you for all you do..." What is wrong with me? Despite how this seems to others out there... I think the last time I made friends was at this job I had and that was 7 years ago. I recently just had to drop a couple friends that I've known for 18 years because they were just nothing but selfish drunk assholes. Yes I've given them chances in the past but it was time for me to move on. I do live in a city so I do go out allot. I like to go out to eat, to the movies, going out to bars. So I meet people all the time when I go out. I'm a people person so I like to be social on weekends. I just don't really make friends and that's ok. I have more acquaintances now and i'm fine with that. Right now I just hang out with this lady friend and I'm fine with having lady friends. There is one lady friend that I still talk to from my home town and she is the most decent one from back home. Someone told me that women would rather be friends with guys then females. |

The reason that I want this so badly is that about a year ago, me and four of my best friends found out that our other friend had cancer, now he's probably going to die... me and my friends have been through a lot, but we've made it this far by supporting one another through every problem and now one of us might actually die, so to represent what we've all gone through together, what we're going through so that we'll never forget what we accomplished we all want to get a group tattoo of a periwinkle flower. This flower is a special symbol in our friendship because it tells the story of how we all became friends... in school we used to sit behind the gym during free time in p.e. and there were several periwinkle plants growing around that area, we found them and started picking them off and playing with them, putting them in our hair and in our bags to take home. We got in trouble for that but it helped us bond, we'd just talk till time was up and play with the flowers... My friends are a bit older than me though so they all have theirs, even if they're still young... but I still don't have mine because I'm a little younger. But I respect my mother's opinion and if she says no then I'll have to wait, but I'd like to know what you guys thing please, your replays and thoughts are appreciated. Posted: 18 Sep 2017 10:43 PM PDT I moved Montreal about a month ago for work, and while it's a beautiful and amazing city, I guess I'm wondering how to fill my time when I'm not working. I didn't have any friends in my old province, so it'd be great to make a couple here. I was pretty active in 5-pin bowling in my old province, but Montreal doesn't have this. I also know Montreal is known as a huge party city and whatnot, but I don't drink and have fairly bad anxiety, so I don't really go to clubs. I joined a floor hockey league, but ultimately couldn't find the stadium, and so I had to quit before the season even started. I feel like I'm my own worst enemy, and I don't mean to complain, as it really is a beautiful and affordable city ... I guess I just feel frustrated because I'm a single guy living in what is known as arguably the most fun and enjoyable city in Canada and one of the most fun in all of North America as well, yet I have no idea how to be social and make friends. Any ideas? |

She also makes fun of me and try's to "roast" me AAALLLL of the time. I can't text her without her trying to roast me,which is never funny. I never try to make fun of her since I know how annoying it is. (Btw,I hope I don't sound bossy. We do have fun moments and I do listen to her). Di doesn't want to try anything new which hurts. I don't have any other friends that would want to hang out with me. I do know a boy on my bus(good friends)but I'm afraid he would say he can't hang out,or just no. Di would usually make fun of my hobbies and make up excuses for everything. Here's a bullet list -I can't avoid her because her mom is close with my parents and she's in my classes -I'm joining the environmental club and when I told her she said things like 'that club is for crusty kids like you. I'm 6'4ft, about 230lbs, and workout on a regular basis. Aside from work, I enjoy the company of friends. This woman I'm speaking about is 45 years old. She's a stuning blue-eyed blonde. Every time we hang out, she's got guys checking her out. Anyway, we've known each other for years, and have been very good friends. She's been there for me through some pretty rough times in my life, including the loss of a family member. We hang out quite a bit, whether it be hiking, swimming, clubbing, offroading and alike. She's always great to hang out with, and we have a lot of fun. Though lately, I've been questioning our friendship,and let me explain what I mean. For example, a month ago when we went dancing, during a slow dance, she wrapped her arms around me and in that moment, I didn't want it to end I just wanted to hold her. And about a week ago we went swimming, and she had bought this new bikini, and I was mesmerized by how she looked in it. I don't know what these feelings mean, and honestly I haven't had a lot of experience when it comes to dating and alike. I've had hookups, but not much more than that. We're just supposed to be friends, so why do I feel this way? |

We text eachother every morning and all through out the day when we're not busy and just talk and always say goodnight too. Never do we miss good morning or good night texts. So, I'll joke around with her and say just date me guys suck, we're both straight, and she's like if I were gay I would. She always compliments my legs or that im adorable or she'll even call me hot and she's like I don't say that to anyone else. We cuddle a lot, like we'll hug but it's more than just a hug it's like we'll lay on eachother and she makes this little giggle and it's so funny and cute haha. I always always think about her 24/7 I always want to be with her. Well call eachother all these nicknames like love, babe, baby. Well say we're beautiful and that we just love eachother so much. But she'll sometimes touch my hand or arm and say wow your hand is so soft!! I'll kiss her on the cheek, I did ask to kiss her once cuz I wanted too nothing more than that tho and she said well are you and it was just a peck one time. But, she'll play with my hair sometimes or I'll catch or looking at me sometimes. But I look at her too but I get butterflies. So, what does all this mean? |
| Question: Should I drop my class or stick it out? Posted: 18 Sep 2017 09:57 PM PDT So I'm in AP biology and it is my first AP class. It's pretty challenging and I got 2 Ds and a C on my first 3 quizzes. Luckily, my teacher has text corrections and so I brought them all up to Cs. But...the work load is still a lot. I'm taking the course with one of my really good friends and not gonna like, she's doing worse then I am. She's gotten Fs on our quizzes. So we decided we were going to drop down to honors together. So she talked to her mom and her mom talked her OUT OF DROPPING!!! And so now I'm kinda pissed off cuz I thought we were in this together but apparently not. My mom thinks I'm should drop so that my work load is lighter but I don't want to without my friend. How do I convince my friend to drop with me? She wants to get a tutor instead which I think is COMPLETELY POINTLESS. I'm at a loss here and I have a week to decide if I want to drop or not. |

A few weeks after, he tells me he likes me and wants to slowly work on a relationship but at the time I was talking to someone at work and decided to move into a relationship with him. Unfortunately, him and I break up. Of course with him being my friend I told him about the break up and the same breath, he admits that he had feelings for me while I was in the relationship and still has them. The next day they kinda ignored me and made me feel left out. The next day they invited me to sit at lunch with them again while I had to go grab mine she said to meet at a spot and when I got there.. they weren't there. One of the girls always glares at me and smiles and talks to me when the teachers around. During projects they try to have me do all the work. if i try talking to them they just change the subject and I have no idea what to do. The other girl tries to ask me what my homework answers were and I had to say no. Later I checked the public assignment and their names weren't on it. What should i do? |

But throughout all of this he just left me out and I feel like he doesn't care about me anymore. Posted: 18 Sep 2017 08:34 PM PDT So the other night I was at a party (At a friends house) and we went in the pool so when i took off my shorts my guy friend thought it would be funny to hide them and not tell me. Later when I was leaving I couldn t find them so I left with my friends shorts. The next day my friend told me where he hid them so I told the host of the party to find them but she could not find them. So now they are lost (We had a hurricane and they checked the whole house so it is no where) and they were really expensive. So I dont know much about fishing but he does so after the fishing trip I forgot my pole which is a pricy ocean pole. Time passes and I go to his place and he gives me a pole (didnt check twice because I trust him) So turns it its not my dads pole and I texted him and he said its my pole but I know its not because of the different brand and characteristics. So he inssists its mine and he usually thinks hes right but this isnt the first time he has done something like this. The day I went to pick up my stuff he tried to give me his popped raft (that day we fished i bought my own and we did not use it) Which I thought was weird so maybe I am over thinking this but I think theres a chance he purposefully gave me the less expensive rod and he kept the good one and thought he could get away with it because of my ignorance of fishing poles. He also could have made a mistake. Lately after his trip he has been a bit more distant though. What should I do? I am naturally skeptic and there is a chance I am right. Overall he is a decent person so I am on the fence and wanted to get more insight. |

There's a guy (I'm a girl) that I want to be friends with; my conversations with him have been good but I feel like I don't take enough social risks, nor do I have the opportunity to talk to him very much in the first place. We're rarely at the same place at the same time without interruptions. My friend is very similar to me socially; we're both kind of "ambiverts" in a way, though I think she's more introverted than I am. I guess I come across as a little guarded at first though. She seems to be developing a closer relationship with the guy than I am by a significant amount, and it makes me awfully jealous and anxious for some reason. I really want to talk to him, but I never can, while she seems to find the time. Maybe he's just more interested in being her friend than being mine.
