My teacher told us to pick partners one time and the teacher suggested me and he was like no then went to work with someone else. He worked with everyone in that class except me. One time we were assigned to work together he caught an attitude and slam his books on the desk. SHE TOOK MY ARMS AND TWISTED THEM AND SCRATCHED THEM. So I'm usually busy. The problem with my friend is that she wants me to go to a bridal store but doesn't give me a notice ahead of time. She wants to go her house and visit stores which is fine but she expect everyone to be available whenever she wants. She texted me the yesterday saying that we have to visit a store that is like an hour away from home. She said the next appointment is in 3 months so going was a must. I called the place to verify and they said that the have a lot of available appointments. I don't know why my friend has to lie. Its been happening for the past week. We text eachother every morning and all through out the day when we're not busy and just talk and always say goodnight too. Never do we miss good morning or good night texts. She always compliments my legs or that im adorable or she'll even call me hot and she's like I don't say that to anyone else. We cuddle a lot, like we'll hug but it's more than just a hug it's like we'll lay on eachother and she makes this little giggle and it's so funny and cute haha. I'm trying to desperately to get back into work so I can meet new people and have the money to socialize, in the mean time I feel stuck - I've tried meetup.com, I go to the gym, I volunteer, I tried part-time courses, I try to go to free events and hang-out in the city...but it's still always me there on my own. I want someone to talk to when I need support, it'd be nice to have someone to just hang-out with (I don't think I've had anything like that since I was a young teen), but also I'd just like drinking buddies and people to go with me to all the fancy local bars as well as to all the gigs etc. I want to go to. It pains me to see people who are so social, who have thousands of friends on social media and photos having fun with loads of people...while I don't have a single person to hang out with. |

I am good at most languages I practice, I know 3 including English and I'm currently learning my fourth(and soon more). I am good at math and science. My English is better than most students even though it's not my mother tongue. Recently, I've noticed that people like to talk a lot about me and stare at each other if I make a comment that I find humorous, I've seen it right in front of me. The two girls who have the lowest grade degrade me the most(lol). And I really pity them for some reason. Whenever anyone of these kinds of people ask me for help, I give it to them because I want success in everyone. I let people copy off my tests and give a lot of homework answers. The only snapchats I get are of people asking me if I got the homework, or I know the answer to something. I get facetimed and invited to homes just to do homework, nothing else. I am not a nerd, I have very good social skills and I talk to everyone. I also play many sports and i'm good at them. I'm known as fit smart and many people like me as a friend IN CLASS. Once class is over, the same people who were talking to me like I was their best friend just ignore me like I don't even exist. I hang out with this one girl who has told me in the past that I'm ugly and nobody likes me but she hangs out with me because they pity me. I try to make friends and talk to everyone but nobody seems to want to turn it into something further. This girl once sat beside me just because I was "smart", she didn't even study for the unit test because she knew I would and depended on that. I don't want to be seen as this smart person anymore. I want people to like me for who I am, not for their own success. The same people who beg me for answers literally insult me to my face the same day. I don't know what I should change about myself.. is it a character flaw? |

I have a couple people who I occasionally see for coffee once every couple of months, but they certainly aren't very close to me. I'm in my final semester in college, but I haven't made a single friend in my time there. I think that's because I live off campus and drive an hour to get to school. I only go two days a week and don't have the time to attend clubs because of the long commute. I live in a small town that doesn't have much of a social scene, and especially not one for someone my age. I'm at a loss of what to do to meet even meet people who could possibly be my friend. I work with a bunch of older women who are at least double my age and have no similar interests to me; so work is out of the equation. At school, I try my best to talk to people in my classes, but it never goes anywhere further than friendly chatting before the class starts. I've even asked a couple people if they'd like to do something after class, but I always get turned down or it just doesn't happen (I think they have friends already since they are usually seniors too). I'm gay as well, with also makes my small town even more rough. I'd love to be a part of a gay community, but I live very far away from the closest places that have those kinds of places, and don't have the gas money to continuously drive back and forth there. I live with my parents because I pay for school myself and couldn't afford to live on my own. Any ideas? |

It started to change like within the last year. I always am too nervous like something in my head is telling me I can't go. My mind stops me from doing it. My friends would ask why I don't come and I'd make excuses and then they figured it out and said why are you worried to sleepiver? And I'd be like, I have no clue. Although I feel he never liked me, a lot of people hated him which I don't blame them. People thought he was a jerk because he always hung around with the wrong crowd (where they would do drugs and alcohol). He also ratted me and a bunch of innocent people out just to get us in trouble because he was under the influence of a bunch of snobs who told him lies about us. Although a football player, he wasn't all that popular and he kept defending people who were abusive towards him (they hit him, kicked him, etc.) He was always forced to do activities apart from me and others. He was also told to accuse me of following him which I wasn't. He was also told not to like certain people (including me) and the say we were ugly. When we went off to college, he accused us of making his life a living hell when his abusers did all that and forced him to blame us. After many years, his abusers not only forced him to delete his facebook but they also forced him to marry some ***** who is a cocaine addict who gets high with her co-workers. She also forces him to care for her kids. I tried following him on instagram and he rejected my request. Ugh! Not only does that piss me off but I'm also surprised he's not following a lot of our former schoomates either. We've all been nothing but nice to him and this is how he repays us. After I weird dream I had, I decided to move on without him, but how do I go about it? I just recently had a dream that he and I made out. But it's highly unlikely we'll have a intimate relationship. He can't even like the right people. I already think he's a jerk. I do a lot of daily activities to stay productive including gym, school and work. I just wanna know what we did to deserve to lose him as a friend. It seems like everyone else is moving on while I'm doing the same after getting over my ex. Another friend had originally got her tickets to this show months ago for both of them but had to cancel last minute. So she asked if I wanna go but couldn't confirm if it was possible until literally yesterday. I need to ask my parents for permission so it'd be helpful to know when it ends. I know it starts at 7pm and have been searching online for hours to find when it ends but I haven't found anything. I guess things are kind of better than last year but I still have like no friends. I have joined two clubs and they seem ok and went to all the meetings for now. I haven't been to a party other than once which wasn't even a party just some dudes playing drinking games. Things were going good with my roommate but my roommate figures out I am that guy who just cant talk or whatever. But I just want to be myself. I want to party but I want friends but it is tough with all this pressure socially. I have gotten some numbers and did hang once at one persons house I met playing ball. I am just a dude who plays ball, likes to lift, and watch YT videos. I wish there was a dude like me who was introverted like me who doesn't want to sit in their dorms and be lonely. |
| Question: How to deal with a disgusting kleptomania female roommate? Posted: 28 Sep 2017 11:00 PM PDT So this girl just moved into the bedroom next to mine, we share the same bathroom. There's no nice way to put this - she's fat, hairy, and smells like she hasn't taken a shower in days. But her real problem is using my things without my permission. On the first day, she goes and puts all her things in my drawers, even though it's clear that I left drawers for her. She uses my towel, and when later confronted about it, doesn't even KNOW if they're my towels (makes no sense since I'm the only other person), and gives me some bullshit excuse that it's just how she is, and that she doesn't understand the concept of boundary. She goes to take a shower, and when she comes out, the entire floor's all wet and covered with hair. I go inside, and all my shampoo bottles and shower things are disgusting, like someone squeezed out too much product and tried to close it with the cap on. When asked about it, she denies ever using it, even after "claiming" that she would never ever use another girl's shower things. Note: She was also evicted from her last apartment cause the housemates couldn't deal with her using their things and being so unhygienic How can I tell her in a nice way to shape the **** up? |

| Question: How To Help A Depressed Friend? Posted: 28 Sep 2017 09:58 PM PDT I dont want to go too into detail, but basically, my absolute best friend is going through a hard time. She tells me how she wishes she could die or kill herself while erasing her memory of herself as to not hurt anyone. She says she truly wants to die, but she wont because she know she'll hurt me. It does hurt me, it hurts me when she says it so nonchalantly and I find myself crying hopelessly because she's not happy. I know shes depressed, I've been messaging her every day all day (she lives a ways away and we cannot speak in person), I've been making her drawings, writing her paragraphs and telling her how much I love her. She tells me she loves me too, and she laughs and acts happy.. But I feel I am walking a very thin line. I cant focus anymore all I can do is worry. Please, someone help me figure out what to do, because if I lost her I would never forgive myself. |

Name-calling, fake backstories about me/family. It wasn't physical most of the time, except for maybe 3 times. Lost contact with those peeps & years went by until rise of facebook. Now these peeps mugshots are only a click away. Reminiscing the days I still get an intense feeling of hatred and fury in my heart towards these 2 or 3 people and I feel the need for revenge physically or virtually. Telling myself to let it go as it's been decades but I still feel intense hatred. How do you deal with it? Do people confront their bullies years later? Peter. |

There's a guy in my phys ed class and my construction class and according to my friend, he likes me. but idk. Like we haven't even talked yet! These are her reasons: he looks at me often during metal workshop class, like I arrived earlier with my friend one day before class began and he was already there and she said he was looking at me for a few seconds. She also caught him staring at me during class several times.. and during phys ed, we've been playing dodgeball lately and he usually tries to target me and looks at me a lot, today, we were split into groups for phys ed and my group was playing dodgeball, idk what he was doing, but after the class was over, everyone came into the gym and we were all wearing shorts (our gym outfit) and my friend said he was looking at me specifically the while he walked to the boys locker room. like gurl I just saw him 3 weeks ago. I see him a lot in the hallways and he always looks at me for a while then looks away when he sees me. And my other friends tell me he looks at me a lot, and tries to hit me when playing dodge ball in gym. She said he looks at me, smiles for a while and looks away. I'm like gurl what u sayin we literally just saw each other 3 weeks ago I honestly think she's being unreasonable making this claim cause we don't even know each other that well. But it's been over 2 days and she still hasn't replied and whenever we text we text for 10 minutes then she stops replying. You might say she's busy but I can guarantee she does nothing all day all she does is stay home and it gets in my nerves when she can't reply but she'll show me her and her and something texting back to back. She never wants to hang out because she says "we go to the same school" but we have no classes together so idk and everytime she wants to do something with me it's because someone else canceled on her.
