First of all shes really manipulative- she always makes me feel guilty and when she apologizes its like she doesnt even care. She also lies a lot. She will tell random strangers lies for no reason. She is also a master at masking her identity. She is an internet troll and gets anyone to like her. When going out she always manipulates people and does a really good job of it. She will get strangers to buy her free stuff. She never feels guilty. One time her parents specifically instructed not to go somewhere and she went there without doubts. She also self harms and gets people to pity her. The worst is that even though I hate her, she is still my best friend. Do I tell her i think she s physco?? HELP |

She and I were really close, but in college we drifted apart, which was mostly her fault because she pretty much just stopped talking to me and fell in with a whole other group of friends. I wanted her to be happy, but I won't lie when I say it stung a bit. We just recently started speaking again and I've grown up a lot in the past couple of years. It's only after some distance that I realize how awful I feel around this friend sometimes. It's hard though, because when things are good, they're really good. I'm just not sure it's worth the trade-off anymore. I texted her this morning after I got woken up by my brother texting me and I sent her a picture of my "I am not amused face" and she replied "It's called silent mode". It sounds small, but the reality is she makes comments like this all the time. Like "you're confused" or "I worry for you" or she'll say something like "nice job, smart one". Comments, that by themselves, don't seem like a big deal, but include the tiniest whisper of an inclination or an inflection that I'm not smart. And once every blue moon, it would be okay to catch a comment like that, but over time, it begins to feel like I'm a potato getting slivered away one slice at a time. It's why I felt so relived when I went to a different college because when she implies the same thing for so long -for years- I start to believe it and I hate feeling this way about myself. Like I have to prove myself to people or that it isn't enough to just be myself. I'm beginning to wonder why I decided this would be a good idea. I'm so sick of being around people who just don't think the best of me or even look for it, you know? I'm not quite sure how to handle this situation. Maybe it's just time to let the past die. |

I saw the band without Michael having meals and the drummer called me over and then he said to me, "There's Michael there" and I just nodded and the drummer laughed without noticing me nodding but Michael wasn't there at all. As it was my birthday, later on Michael sang Happy Birthday to me when he was on stage and I was presented with my birthday cake in front of the stage. A guy who works for Michael and the band called Brendan told me to get up and I did. When I had sat back down, Brendan told me to get back up again as Michael wants to give me a kiss. (like if I talked to someone he doesn t know). he says I can have friends but everytime I make one he yells at me until I tell them I cant be friends. if I leave the house and am gone longer than he wants I m called a cheater. he tells me that I never do anything and need to get a job. I m a sahm mom cause daycare is far to expensive. I do all of the household work and keep the 4 kids well kept. he tells me that I do not need sleep but he does cause he works resulting to me getting 2 to 4 hours of rest a day compared to his 10 or 11. I watched her loose her job, house and being homeless. She does nothing to help herself. Last year she got on SS disability, unfortunately it's not much and has to rent a room from someone. I just don't now what to do for her anymore. All she does is complain about having nothing including a car. She keeps saying can't people see she needs help. No matter what I recommend for her to do she finds a 100 reason why she shouldn't. However, I still go back to my hometown during the holidays and summers, and when I do, I try to keep in touch with my old high school friends. The problem is that most of them are honestly losers now. A few of them are actually doing pretty good for themselves, but the problem is that most of them also left that state, and are off living their new lives like I am. However, almost all my friends that stayed in my hometown are honestly losers now, they don't do anything. They work shitty, dead-end jobs, and most of them either attend shitty community colleges or don't go to school at all. They hang out with mostly the other kids from my high school that didn't end up going to university, they go to lame parties filled with the same lame people, they do too many drugs, etc., etc. Meanwhile, when I go back to visit them, yeah, we are still friends because of the times we had in high school, but it's not the same any more. I just feel like I've outgrown them, and I feel like some of them secretly resent me. For instance, at a party, I heard some of my old high school friends having a conversation about how "University students are a bunch of annoying douchebags" and I know they weren't talking about me specifically, but they were talking about university students in general, of which I am. |

Don't worry there's nothing sexual going on) were bored and we decided to go to the Waterpark Of America. She offered to pay for our hotel room and everything, so I said I'd pay for the pool. We both paid for what we were supposed to, but this isn't the problem. Lexa (my best friend) and I went to the Waterpark, and on our first night there, there was literally no one there, I'm not exaggerating it was literally just me, her, and the lifeguards. Anyway, while we were in the basketball swimming part at the WOA we were having a contest to see who could do a cooler trick. I had done a handstand into a backflip and dunked on the hoop in the water and that was my trick. Then when it was her turn he told me it was completely underwater and that I need to look under to see it. So she went underwater and like 2 seconds after I saw her feet up in the air. A handstand? That's it? I looked underwater and I saw...her boobs. I went back above water and she came up and didn't say anything. I didn't view it as anything because we're just friends and she knows I have a boyfriend (I'm a guy, and I'm bi). But last night (our first night, we're still at the WOA btw) it was kinda awkward for us, but it wasn't that bad, it was like just like a funny awkward. Did she do it on purpose or not? We are going tomorrow please help I don't want to spend my parents hard earned money to see some trucks. I asked a friend over dinner if she'd like to room with me for junior year and she agreed. Later, during winter break, I texted her by initiating small talk (Mom pushed me to ask her again during winter break if she was still willing to be with me.) After the small talk she went along the lines, "Good news, I switched out into an apartment room for next semester - you should totally come over " I was surprised, so I asked her if she already found a roommate and let her know I was considering rooming with her next year. My friend said her roommate was an RA, so the only person who could live with her is an RA...but she also added on that I should apply for a room in her apartment building...and that she would be willing to move in with me if I found a vacancy for the two of us, stating that getting in is hard but moving within the building is easy. My mom was hurt when I told her about this, stating that my freshman and sophomore roommates were better than her in the sense that they were loyal and she betrayed me...and then I thought to myself, "Why couldn't she have said she was going to move into an apartment asap the next semester, when I initially asked her about rooming together? I would be okay if she was honest. She said nothing until I was super blunt." Mom was disappointed, but said I should maintain the friendship, in spite of this "betrayal". |

He never got over the fact that my friend kissed me 8 years ago, on a drunken night before her wedding day. I'm the only child so they are protective of me they don't want me to travel alone. I want to go to LA and my mom wants me to take my guy friend with me. We are only friends and we aren't dating. However I'll be meeting up with a guy once I get there. What can I do about this? Should I still go with the guy? He and I are just friends we aren't dating but they want him to go with me so I have someone with me. I don't mind him going but I would be staying in a different hotel than him. I'm not entirely sure of his financial situation but I know his families having some difficulties and the trip costs $150 dollars. There are fundraisers and stuff like that but he really doesn't want to do them and I can see why, in fact some of those fundraisers cost money! I Have about $70 dollars and he wont take it nor let me sponsor so I'm trying to convince him to do the marathon to save up. I told him ill get him sponsors and everything and he said he'd think about it. I'm the only child so they are protective of me they don't want me to travel alone. I want to go to LA and my mom wants me to take my guy friend with me. We are only friends and we aren't dating. However I'll be meeting up with a guy once I get there. What can I do about this? Should I still go with the guy? |

She is truly a horrible human being, so negative, so rude, so self absorbed. The fight was bubbling for awhile. My supposed best friend supported me through this, saying I was right, and all the while making it seem like she was on my side. Today she was talking with the girl I had a fight with which really pissed me off and she noticed, and I texted her later saying how it bothered me. She said she's not sure if she wants to end her friendship with this girl amongst other things. It confuses me, after all this girl has said to me that she would still want to continue a relationship with her. Just looking for some advice. |

We'll eat smores over the campfire,sing campfire songs and go to sleep. But........the thing is that the sleep over may be co-ed. And i do have a plan. The plan is to separate the female guests (along with myself) and the male guests in different areas (girls sleep indoors/upper floor and males sleep outdoors/downstairs in the basement,which will be cleaned up) but i need to know is it a good idea as long as someone is making sure to guard the door? |

At best, it'll help you become an acquaintance of a person rather than their friend. That's the problem I have with 90 percent of my "friends" in college currently. Whenever I speak with them, boy or girl, they always seem more distant and businesslike than with their other friends. While they'll be nice to me and include me in things sometimes, I always feel like there's a wall between us. With other friends, they always give them a warm hug or comparable greeting, while with me, it's just a "Hey". They have so many inside jokes and stories it's hard to keep track of the conversation. But most importantly, THEY SMILE a lot more with them around. With me, it's like a business meeting where they'll sometimes give me a smile. I've tried doing new things to create conversation topics. For some reason, these conversations die out almost instantly, and I'm thinking it's because I'm not good at talking about it. I've tried asking people about their day, but they'll usually just say "It was good!", while with their other friends, they'll delve into more detail. I've tried talking about sports like football or basketball, but I just can't keep up a conversation, it's just not something that interests me that much. So I don't get why I'm not able to connect with people at a deep level - what am I doing wrong? Any tips on how to go in the right direction would be really helpful. Thanks! |

I feel so lonely and when I mean lonely its not also because I have no one to hang out with but its also the loneliness you feel when you dont connect with anyone in your life...Like you feel so alone because no one understands you which is why you cant make new friends...Because no one understands what you are like and how you truly feel. Everyday no one ever asks me how I am doing. I always do things for others but maybe its because I just want their attention that I am lonely and sad. The most loneliest feeling in the world is having friends but still feel lonely. People tell me not to kill myself...That itll get better...but its been years now. It gets worse and worse. She always asks me to sleep overs. I'm 22, living at my own place, engaged to my long term boyfriend and working. My problem mainly is her sleepovers don't consist of drinking and having pizza doing make up like normal grown women do. She always wants to sit there on her laptop on her wifi looking up about bands. While i sit there on my phone texting my boyfriend or playing solitaire on my laptop (cause i cant go on her wifi) or playing with her dog. She goes on and on about these bands, such as how much these guys are good looking. She mainly talks about them all night. My question is how do I tell her I no longer want to attend her sleepovers (because they are childish). By the way I don't think its ever going to change (because her parents also treat her like a kid-shes 27 and not allowed to concerts without an adult). |

I remember the day he got the news,it was a sunny day I was in the back yard and saw 2 marines in dress blues walking towards his home,then heard his wife scream and cry.She screamed so loud that basically all of the neighbors went to their house.Their 19 years old son had died in action in Iraq. He divorced from his wife about 3 years ago,however they act like they're married. I remember that my daughter went to high school with his son,so I saw his kid in my house a lot of times. John and I get together for a beer like every 2 or 3 days. I was gonna say to him "Hey man if you wanna talk about him I'm here" but my wife told me that I shouldn't do that,if he wishes to he will talk to me about it. While I'm not crazy about vigilante justice, when the system fails to protect people or punish the perpetrators ...? My boyfriend and I read a news story about a group of mothers in India who took revenge on a man who had raped several little girls (one who was 5 years old) and was then released by police due to corruption. This is a common problem in the Indian justice system. The women stripped him and tied him sitting against a wall with his legs spread wide apart, and put a cage between his legs. Inside the cage were two hungry feral cats. They inserted his genitals into the cage, and the cats slowly devoured his entire wiener and nuts until they were eaten off. We both agreed that what the man did was awful, but my boyfriend said that removing his wiener was too cruel because now he can never have sex or even play with himself ever again. I think the man deserved it, and was glad they did that. I even chuckled a bit at what they did to him, and I am proud of those women for taking care of the problem, and protecting other little girls from the man. It's not like the authorities were going to do anything about it, as they let him go free when he paid them off! What do you think? Do you agree with me or my boyfriend? The people in my class have always been mean to me because I don't really like to participate in gym class. They call me a slut, whore, etc, and make rumors about me that aren't true. I started crying then and I started sobbing when I got home and I started to cut again. I had a migraine in the middle of the night from the stress and didn't go to school today. Please don't say switch schools because its my last year there before I go to high school, and I wouldn't be able to switch. I just want this to end already. Are all schools like this? My boyfriend and I have been together for 2.5 years and have a 15 month old together. So, my friends surprised me with a visit new years eve and the 4 of us went out drinking. My boyfriend had worked early that day and wanted to leave the bar around 1. My friends went to close their tab at 2 and when they didn t come out after 15 minutes I went in looking for them. They were arguing and I said I was ready to go. He came in in a angry fashion and told me it was time to go. My friend jumped in between us and started screaming at him telling him I wasn t going with him. They were screaming at eachother. I walked away and my boyfriend ran after me. My friend tackled him to the ground, needing 2 bouncers to pull her off of him. My friend screamed at him saying that he was a waste of a human being and that she wanted to murder him. She thinks that he is controlling and abusive when she has only met him once before this incident. I told her that he was far from it and that we re happy but she thinks I m making excuses and that he has brainwashed me. I told her that I cannot be friends with someone who won t listen to me and trust that I can make my own decisions. She has thrown me up against a wall before over trying to pull her off her girlfriend that she also tackled to the ground. Am I wrong for cutting a 13 year friendship over 1 night? |
