Question: How do I meet my online friend in person? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:58 PM PDT I wanna meet my online friend, but my parents don't even want me to have friends online. How can I convince them to take me to meet my friend? (I know about the possibilities of that person cat fishing or something) My friend/neighbor went to Adventure Land in Iowa (That's where she works.). We Skype frequently and My friend and I wanna meet her in person. We live in West Virginia and She lives in Iowa. Thanks for the help! |
Question: Is being called a dork fish a bad thing? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:55 PM PDT My friend calls me a dork fish. Is she insulting me or is she just saying I'm being silly/dork? |
Question: Why are so many people into Facebook and Social Media in general? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:52 PM PDT Friends are for *******, Social media is for ******* ,If you need friends to make it in this world you are a pussy. I'm a 24 year old male and introverted and never have been into people or friends. I'm living it up everyday without friends because I'm a beast! |
Question: In social situations, why don't people approach me first? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:45 PM PDT Firstly, I'm a really shy and quiet girl. An introvert. Once I spent a couple days overnight for a college program. I came with my best friend, so I had someone I knew, but we were split into different groups. Every member was extremely outgoing, and I listened more than talked. When we all had a night out, my friend and I spent time together. Part of my group who saw this and were walking behind us called out and said why do you talk to to your friend but not us? I'm here thinking, well why didn't y'all talk to me when I was with you? But, I took note that I should initiate conversation next time. It was orientation; people should be willing to meet new people right? I knew no one but I was eager to make friends. I smiled, introduced myself first to everyone, and tried to make light conversations. However, the ones who came with their high school friends stuck to them the entire time. My roommates had no interest in me. My group's atmosphere was dead. I saw one girl from my group by herself during free time, so since I was also alone I went up and talked to her. We got along well, but the next morning when went into the lecture hall together, she chose to sit where there was no room left for me. Ouch. It was very disappointing overall. I'm worried what will happen when college starts and if I'll ever be able to find new close friends. Basically, if I approach others first, no one wants to talk to me. If I wait for others to approach, no one does. What am I doing wrong? On a side note, do extroverts enjoy approaching introverts? They never seem to come up to me, but it's ironic that I'm the one going up to people. |
Question: How to tell your friend you don t want to hang out so often? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:40 PM PDT |
Question: How old does she look? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:34 PM PDT here's the link: https://postimg.org/image/rol4nehfb/ and where do you think she's from? |
Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:32 PM PDT It's summer time and just wondering what you do when you lonely. I am 22 male and just feel lonely these days. I hang out with friends, but they are not always available. I also don't have a girlfriend either.. |
Question: This friend is always criticising my hair. Is she being unreasonable or am I overacting? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:20 PM PDT I like the natural look and have always worn my hair long, with hardly any makeup. My hair's naturally very dark brown but now I've got a few grey ones so couple of years ago, I got some honey coloured highlights in my hair. Everybody told me it looked great and really natural (I've green eyes, fair skin and almost black hair naturally). Then this female friend said 'Why did you change your colour? Your skintone doesn't suit it, you're not a tough girl but it makes you look that way'. This friend has ALWAYS highlighted her brown hair to very blond. She cannot grow it long as it's very weak and it has been short forever. She keeps advising me to return to my original colour (i.e. colour the greys - don't put the fair highlights). She also adds 'women who have long hair when they're older just make themselves look older'. All my other friends tell me I look so young! We're both past our 40s. The latest: she tells me she's trying to grow her hair and if she can't she's thinking of getting hair extensions. The irony! A couple of glamorour, gentle female friends have even asked me where I get my hair done..and gone there. Isn't that the sincerest form of flattery and support for my 'look'? |
Question: What do guys do when they wanna blow off a girl? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 05:18 PM PDT I asked a guy to let me know if he wants to grab a bite next week. He said definitely. I can't take him at face value bc he said let's hang out, so I waited a month and he finally contacted me but still didn't mention meeting. What's more likely for a guy to do if he's trying to blow off a girl: 1. Lie and say he wants to hang out 2. Make up an excuse 3. Ghost her? |

Question: Talking to my roommate? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:48 PM PDT So I started talking to my roommate about 3 weeks ago and we had good conversations especially because we had so many questions for each other. Now whenever we text it's very choppy and doesn't flow. I have to think of things to say because I already asked her almost everything. I see other people with their new roommates and they're already super close but my roommate and i are still kind of formal to each other. We're girls and I thought we'd talk about way more but idk... Over the three weeks we texted for about 4 days and I feel like it's not enough. Am I overthinking this? |
Question: I only have 1 friend and she has better friends than me? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:44 PM PDT I only have 1 actual friend and she has tons of super close friends and always lies to me like "oh i have to babysit" then hangs out with her other friends. I have depression and I m really lonely. What do I do? I can t make other friends. |
Question: My friend's problems make me stressed!? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:44 PM PDT I have a friend named Aysha and everytime she texts me, she is always crying about something :( I always have to find something to say and it's so stressful sometimes. She always answers "mhm... I guess". She refuses to go to a therapist or talk to a parent!!!! If I don't answer, she thinks I'm ignoring her and sometimes, I just have to close my phone and hide it because I can't take it. But then I still feel regret:(!!! She's a good person in public because it's her bubbly self. She does this everyday! What should I do? |
Question: Did I handle this situation correctly? YOUR ADVICE PLEASE.? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:40 PM PDT A friend Linda who works in the same large office building as I do ask if I could drive her home as her car would not start. At her home, we were met by her daughter Cindy who I had met previously. Linda ask me to stay for a dinner she would cook for me. As Linda was cooking dinner Cindy ask me if I would help her with her homework which I did. After we finished her homework, Cindy ask me if I thought her mom was cute. I told the truth, her mom was cute. Then Cindy ask me if there were guys that would want to date her mom. I told her with her mom's great beauty, yes there were lots of guys that would want to date her. That is as far as I wanted to take this conversation. However Cindy wanted to go farther. She said she wanted a dad and asked me to encourage her mom to start dating. I told her this was a conversation she should be having with her mom not me. Even though I was her mom's friend, the subject of her mom dating is none of my business. Cindy told me she would be the happiest girl in the world to call me dad. Would I ask her mom for a date? I told her that her mom was 10 years older than I was and probably would want to date someone her age. I again urged Cindy to talk to her mom about this. Mothers (and others) did I handle this situation correctly and should I tell Linda about this conversation. |
Question: My friend invited her new BF on our girls trip? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 04:33 PM PDT My friend and I planned a 3 day trip to NC a month or two ago but she met a guy a couple weeks ago and theyre moving really fast and she invited him to join us. I feel really anxious about the trip now because I think I will inevitably be the third wheel and I m anxious when traveling anyway. I met him before and I got mixed vibes. I want to cancel but its tomorrow that we leave. Im feeling weird about all of it and i know if i explain that i don t want her boyfriend to come she will be hurt and/or passive aggressive about it all. |

She never takes pictures with me unless I ask. She s always going on about how much she likes me and we might even have a "thing" together... but she never has time to actually see me in person. She talks about wanting to meet up but never makes the plans. It breaks my heart. Does anyone have any advice? |

Posted: 07 Jul 2016 03:41 PM PDT So I m a girl XD but I met this other girl who is my best friend now and we are in the same fandoms and fan girl together and share the same interests and we are just normal internet best friends. We ve known each other for one month now. Question: Please, I'm needing someone's opinion on this? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 03:40 PM PDT my teacher recently died, it's been hard. We were very close, he taught me cane mobility for 2 yrs, I used to be blind but I got my vision back.. He had been heavy on my mind. I felt I needed to contact his sister he told me about. I found her and messaged her comforting words, how I was his student and how special Mr.J was to me, what a blessing he was and what awesome of a brother he was to her. I sent pictures of us too and she loved them. We began talking a lot about him and all he did, share stories, how awesome he was. We're FB friends and she's like/shared every post I had about Mr.J. She randomly goes and likes all of my posts (about him) Talking to her gave me comfort, why? Today i felt to share an important cane class accomplishment with her. She was explaining how proud she/Mr.J would've been of me. Gave me advice and was complimenting me. She then went and liked all of my posts I ever posted about him and shared everything. Even though we've never met in person, is it weird that I feel close to her? Or how do you think she felt about it all? |
Question: Do you think he'll want to see me again? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 03:40 PM PDT I'm 29 and I met this older man online in 2014 he's 42 he and I met in person for the first time last year. He and I were intimate then. We both live in different states he lives in California and I live in Ohio last week I went back to see him. He and I were intimate again and we had fun together he took me McDonald's for breakfast and then to this nice park he wanted to buy me pizza but I told him I didn't want him to. Also he wanted to take me to the beach but it was way too hot outside. Then we went back to my hotel and we had Chinese food he spent the night with me for a couple of nights. He and I aren't in a long distance relationship I do enjoy going to see him. He said that he didn't want to be in a serious relationship and neither do I. I told him that I enjoyed spending time with him and he said he did too. And that I wanted to come back in December and he said ok. He asked me how much was I paying to take Uber to the airport I believe he wanted to drive me but I told him I didn't have to pay much. He and I are not in a long distance relationship. When I told him thanks for meeting me he said it was his pleasure. He said that he enjoyed it too and thanked me for not overwhelming him. At one point he said he didn't have anything to offer me. But I told him that I wasn't in a position to be in a serious relationship right now either. I told him that I love spending time with him and he said he does too. Why would he say he does if it isn't true? |

Question: What to do in the summer with no friends? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 03:00 PM PDT I live in so cal about and I dont really have no friends at all to hang out with(only see them like a handful times a year). Ive been through many many summers by myself I would usually use video games/internet/tv to have, which I now get sad/bored even using . And yet again another I have another summer to myself yet again. All I do is lay around the house bored and the most interesting thing about my day is probably cleaning the house and cooking for my mom but other than theres nothing else. So my question to you is what should I do to not waste another summer thanks :) |
Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:51 PM PDT I know you don't have to buy anyone anything..But this person use to be my close friend last year..Is it fake to buy her a gift even though I don't really do much with her any more because of a falling out even in just trying to be cordial? Do the actual nice feelings need to be there to make the gesture genuine? |
Question: I want to have a Disney Movie Night? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:47 PM PDT So I was thinking about having a party and then later that night my friends and I would watch disney movies. A few of my friends are guys and I was wondering if it would be weird to invite them or should it just be all girls? I'm planning to have the girls sleep over if they want as well. |
Question: What do I tell my mom? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:46 PM PDT So basically about a month ago I was quite drunk at my friends party. The reason why I was that drunk was because my step mom had called me that day and said some pretty nasty things to me, and I dealt with it in an immature way by getting wasted. Anyway, so my moms friend found out but she thinks I smoke (which I do NOT) and get drunk and go to tons of parties every weekend! I've only ever been to 2 proper parties and I've been drunk once, due to unfortunate circumstances with my step mom as I said previously. So, my mom might be seeing this friend this weekend , who will then tell her all this bullshit. Should I speak to my mom and be like "Mom, what do you do if someone starts a rumor about you? Because at this one party, I was with these people who were drinking and they offered me and so I pretended I was drunk already so I wouldn't have to have any alcohol. But now people are saying that I was actually drunk. What do I do?" Do you think she'll believe it? |
Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:44 PM PDT I try to look at it as God's trying to rid the bad people in my life. I really miss how things used to be and I miss having someone to talk to. I have no real friends at all. |
Question: Does this mean that this guy doesn't want to be my friend? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:36 PM PDT He says that we can be friends but everytime I say something he gives me very basic responses. I could be saying something important and he just replies hey. Yesterday, I shared with him a story and when I asked him what he thought of it, a few minutes later he replied hey. It seems like he doesn't care. He is a very popular guy but I haven't seen him having long textual conversations with others. I asked him if I could have his email and he refused to give it to me. He also called me a weirdo for having multiple accounts. He said that whatever I have to say I can say it in the comments. When I do this, he gives me good responses. I have been making fun of him since then and calling him a robot because of his simple responses. I call him Cato the Robot. I have the feeling that this guy is racist also. I am also a guy by the way. I noticed that I said that he gave me good responses. I meant bad responses when I talk to him in the comments. |
Question: Anxious to go to college? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:33 PM PDT I am going to college far from home with no friends with me. I am still sure I want to go to this school because every other school I applied to I just didn't feel like I see myself there. But thinking about how far I will be from my family (and dog) freaks me out! And I have no friends there! I am already sad. How can I get excited or less nervous? I am definitely visiting home when I can (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break) but that doesn't seem like a lot. I sure hope my parents visit when they can, but flights are expensive. I want to feel happy there and not mope around all day..... please tell me I'm not the only one going through this lol |
Question: How to get rid of Facebook messages? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:31 PM PDT Okay so I've broken out of a friendship with my friend and she's got some really personal messages on there which she would use against me because she's a spiteful person, and I just want to be able to get rid of them somehow so she can't show anybody? PLEASE HELP |
Question: How do you get rid of someone without feeling guilty? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:20 PM PDT I knew a girl who we worked for a project together, I never considered her as a friend but only as a teammate but she considered me as a friend so I was being nice about it, but after few weeks of being done with the project I blocked her from whatsapp cause she would broadcasting random msgs everyday (And I hate Broadcast messages) and she foundout and got upset about it and confronted me I feel bad that she got upset, but at the same time I want to get rid of her, so am I doing something wrong? Or will it be wrong if I don't respond back at her till she completely disappears? I had a fight with her while working on a project, but we solved things. And she is Awfully VERY dramatic, which I can't take, including since I don't consider her as a friend so I find it hard to accept her drama and flaws. |
Question: I'm not sure if I should keep my friends or make new ones? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:17 PM PDT I started this year coming to university.. done with high school. The university is very far away from my home and my best school friends.. so I had to make new ones. Any way.. long story short.. I know these ''new'' friends for about 6 months now.(3 new friends) I message them(on the holidays) and try to chat but it seems like they never care and are always too busy, but they're always online! I don't study the same course as them but our first year subjects are the same, but we have different classes. The 3 of them study accounting and I'm doing risk managing. I changed all my classes the first semester to be with them.. We did everything together.. but it feels like our friendship faded as the semester went on. I never really thought much of the thought because we were really busy with exams and stuff.. but now they barely talk to me.. My best friend out of the 3 also goes home every weekend.. and keeps telling me I should visit, but every time I say sure...He comes up with a bad excuse. They're not like my school friends( which I can talk to every day.. all day).. I just don't get it.. and when we hang out they always on the phone. The next semester is about to start and guess what.. Out of the blue I got a message.. yep they want something.. now I'm important again.. I'm just really confused.. Should I change my classes to have class with them again? Or try and make new friends with my original schedule? ( Most of the things has to do with my new best friend) |

Question: Would you sonsider me a nerd? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:09 PM PDT since i forgot to add the description. So i like anime, photography, hip-hop/urban dancing (like the kinjaz), drawing anime, pokemon (still i know), and film. I feel like my interests are kind of nerdy but im not sure if that is how i am percieved. I tend to dress, well, like a normal 16 year old guy rather than a nerd and im tend to be really loud in the classroom (as in i like to express my opinion on things alot) but outside im kind of awkward and shy and introverted its really weird. *consider also im about average intelligence in the classroom i get As mostly and maybe 2 ish Bs |

Question: People at school don't like me because I'm shy and awkward? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 02:02 PM PDT I have been shy all my life to kids my age, but I've always been great at talking to adults and I know exactly what to say and I can laugh with them and make jokes without feeling judged. But I can't speak to people at school I walk into class and just go straight to my or friend. I never know what to say and I get ignored by almost everyone and they never give me a chance. I know they judge me and don't like me and I don't feel welcome in my own form. There are a couple of kids who are mean to me and say stuff behind my back but I can still heat them. Sometimes though when someone is asked to sit next to me they sigh as if they dont want to so I just keep quiet and stay tight. I was like it before high school too but it feels worse now I'm afraid of being judged and thought weird if I say something I never know what to say and it makes me cry sometimes I have about 3 friends and nobody else welcomes me I'm almost afraid of just going to registration I don't know what to do. |

Question: How should i ask my friend about his invitation? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 01:21 PM PDT In short: Friend asks plenty of our friends, including me, if we are interested come to his cabin for a weekend. Normally this is a wonderful plan, but now that there s just two or three coming for sure, and it s a long way from where we live so i would need to spend plenty of money on gas, drinks etc, and i just don t feel like going with this few people on board. How i tell this to my friend, without seeming like i don t want to spend time with them? I really would like to go some other time, but not with this few participants. Also it has been raining for a week with no end. He has not said anything since he asked us, so i d also need to check up on who s coming without "locking myself in." I ask this because we don t see each other often, and i m a bit nervous with that kind of friends for some reason. |
Question: Who was right? Please help? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 01:16 PM PDT So my friend wasn't answering me and I had a problem so I said I was really sad. And she went "sorry, I can't talk right now." and I got really angry because why isn't she concerned. I said, "why aren't you concerned, and she said "the world doesn't revolve around you, I'm sorry but I'm busy packing for my trip to see my family so you could be a little more understanding." was she being mean (cause I think she was) or was she right |

Question: What would you do in this situation? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:55 PM PDT So let's say you and a classmate Julie have chemistry together next semester. You have known Julie for a while but she is only a classmate. So let's say she misread something and she can actually move onto chemistry 2 but she doesn't know that. You do know that. Would you tell her so she moves ahead of you or would you just pretend you don't know so that you can take chemistry classes together for the years to come. She's really smart in chemistry so if you don't tell her she can help you and you don't know anyone else taking chemistry. What would you do? Tell her or just ignore it and keep going on with life |
Question: Why is my friend like this? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:53 PM PDT Ok I really do love her, but she is SO full of herself! Like everytime I'm with her she's always got her makeup on and is constantly bragging about how good it looks, and she's constantly taking pictures of herself. She seriously never puts her phone down more than a few minutes before she starts taking pictures of herself and bragging about how pretty she is. She is really pretty, but I mean seriously it's a little overboard. I consider myself to be pretty most of the time, but I never brag about it and hardly ever take pics of myself unless it's with another person. Should I say something to her about it, or just leave it alone? It's really annoying cause she takes pictures more than she talks lol. Opinions? |

Question: I think my son has run away!? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:48 PM PDT My 13 year old son has had a bit of s rough time lately. Not bullying, just depression. I think he's run far away though. He was asking his best friend to go with him. Apparently he was going to go to somewhere quiet, find some shelter and start making money. His friend mentioned him going up north or to France. I've called the cops. Why are you being so cruel? I'm his father by the way. I was asking what should I do next. I've been around the neighbourhood and found nothing and I've even tried his mates. |
Question: Why did my friend want to spite me and ruin my dinner party? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:39 PM PDT A 'good' friend Lesley told me it would taste delicious to put lots of pepper in with home made mashed potato. I had a dinner party with some colleagues yesterday evening and used her suggestion. The spiteful b****h! The guests didn't touch the potato and looked disgusted! I heard them laughing at me about it while they walked out of my drive and saying I was crazy. I'd spent a lot of time picking out the best peppers from the grocery store and cooked them perfectly. I am very angry because I know she has done this out of jealousy because she wasnt invited to the dinner party!! |
Question: My friend always lies and she suddenly cancelled our plans? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:16 PM PDT My friend lies all of the time. For example, when we are playing cards, about something she said. Then when I tell her she lied, she says "oh" as if she is surprised. Today was the last day of school before the holidays and my friend (let's call her Ella) and I were planning to go to the cinema together after school. 10 mins before the end of school she said that her mum could drive us there and I said thank you, then one minute later, she said she had a doctors appointment so she had to cancel. And she didn't check her phone since she said the last thing, so I know she knew before about the doctors appointment and still made plans with me anyway. I cancelled other plans to go with her. Because I was so annoyed, I texted her and told her that she lies so much and asked her why, she just ignored my texts. I feel bad and want to apologise, but I also don't think it was my fault and that I had the right to be annoyed. So, should I stop texted her as she is not replying anyway or should I apologise? Also, why does she lie so much? And, she doesn't have many other friends, and I don't have many either, but I have more than her, so do you think it is because she is jealous? Also, I really don't want to stop being friends with her as she is my best friend. Any help would be much appreciated!! |

There are days I'm down and I simply don't care about anything but I don't want that to hurt my progress. Question: Tell someone you don't want to live with them? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:11 PM PDT Hello, A person I met at grad school wants to live in a 2BR apartment for our jobs this fall. I initially wanted to get my own place but then started to explore the roommate option. I didn't become great friends with the person but we hung out some times. They have a type A personality and are not open to living in a different area in the city. I personally don't want to spend over $1,000 a month just to share an apartment with someone. I would rather live in a cheaper area by myself. The thing is, the person isn't taking no for an answer. I'm not sure exactly what to say anymore. I get the impression that they think I want to make it work but I don't. How do I get rid of them in this situation? I don't want to ruin my other friendships because this person would probably bash me to our friends for not rooming together anymore. |
Question: Would I be a bad friend? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 12:09 PM PDT I invited my friend to join me in an all day adventure and I told him that they would not provide food or water. He joined me that day and at the end of the day, I noticed that he was in bad health so I told him "You should go eat." He looked back at me, and asked me "Aren't you going to join me?" I said no. He went to eat by himself, and came back to me. 1. Am I a bad friend for wanting him to eat at the end of the all day? I felt if he didn't eat, he would collapse from not having energy. 2. When I told him he should go eat, what did he took it as? Did he think I am kicking him out of the group just because he doesn't have enough energy? 3. What would you would have requested if you were me? 4. If someone told you that you need to go because you need to fulfill your need, how would you take it as? he didn't bring any food or water. He forgot his own needs. 5. Should you ever tell them to focus on their own needs rather than your needs at some time??? |

Question: Friend is jealous of me and treating me different? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 11:27 AM PDT I've been friends with someone for years and we just got into a fight because She's been mean to people lately and acting like she's better than everyone. So I told her that she's hurting people's feelings and she got mad and says how she use to be jealous of me but now feels sorry for me because i'm a bad friend and live in a nice house and too privileged. I've never treated her like she was beneath me or anything. My family has been so good to her and treats her like family. We go out of our way to do nice things for her. She's started taking advantage and acting like she expects us to buy her stuff now or wants me to drive her places instead of her ever offering to drive. I'm not sure what to do. |
Question: In high school and I feel so alone and depressed? please help? Posted: 07 Jul 2016 11:24 AM PDT Hey im 16 and in high school. Ive been with a group of girls since middle school but lately theyve started to drift away. Im being excluded in different hang outs and it stings. I try to act like im alright but I feel so alone and sad inside. I have social anxiety and it sucks because I can't just be as social and easy going as everyone. The truth is, I always feel extremely nervous before hanging out and even just answering texts and phone calls. I always have to find out that theyre hanging out through social media and it just makes me sad. I know im supposed to leave this toxic friend group and go find new friends but it's not as easy said than done. I feel like in high school everyone are in their own cliques that theyve known since middle school and ive already missed out on so many of their memories and experiences and inside jokes. Having social anxiety doesn't make it easy too. Ive learnt to enjoy my alone time but sometimes I just wish I had someone to just share my life with without having to worry if theyre true or not. It sucks seeing it on social media knowing exactly what theyre doing and what im missing out on. It's the summer holidays and I cant talk to my school counsellor and I just feel like im about to burst. Should I confront my 'friends'? It might have happened because I never really reply to their messages much (I find it stressful). I feel like ive lost the connection. Theyre extroverts and im sometimes quite introverted. i reply to them when they actually ask me to hang outs but not when they make offensive jokes and gossips about others :/ |
