At this point literally all of my friends have had or currently have a bf, or even just guys they're talking to. I know I'm not really pretty but I didn't think I was that ugly, but it's making me feel like i am. Maybe i just don't realize it. I even have friends who are average looking who still have multiple guys interested in them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm not at all picky, all I want is someone with a good personality and who I'm personally attracted to. I try to be friendly with people and put myself out there but guys just don't talk to me. I know it sounds cliche but my biggest fear is never finding someone and dying alone, never experiencing love like everyone else. I'm not basing my life around it but sometimes when I think about it, it makes me worry about reasons why i can't find anyone and it makes me start to think kind of negatively about myself. I feel so pathetic and it makes me feel super judged whenever I tell someone I've never had a bf when I know they've had at least a guy they've talked to. I just want to hear your stories-how old were you when you found your SO? Where or how did you meet? |

For example, I'll tell him "babe, please come sleep with me at night, I like it better when you do" and he says okay. He agrees to sleep with me and then doesn't. Or he will stay up late the next night after telling me he would sleep earlier with me. Another example, I don't like it when he watches certain videos on YouTube...he continues to watch it the next day after telling me he wouldn't. What can I do to get him to respect me? I don't know why something simple like brushing my hair to him it means I'm trying to look good for other guys. I mentioned wanting to dye my hair to try something new and he said I want attention from guys and called me a ho. He then said he doesnt care what I wear and not controlling me, right after saying those insulting things to me. He also said he was upset because I don't dress nice with him but I do try to. the last time I put on a dress for our anniversary dinner all he did the whole time was tell me how I was staring at all the guys in the place, including the waiter. I only looked at the waiter when he asked me if I wanted more water, that was it and I certainly didn't look at other guys. I don't dress revealing and wear t shirts and jeans almost everyday, I look like a tomboy so I don't know what his issue is and it's very confusing. When I asked him all he said was he doesnt like guys looking at me and I said I can't help that, and I'm not looking at guys or want other guys but he just doesn't stop getting angry. If I "pillow talk" as she says which to her is basically any kind of sappy stuff she makes me leave the room. I usually make her eggs or sandwich and in that amount of time she's fine. The only way she fine if I don't leave the room is if I don't speak for 10 15 minutes or rub her feet. I usually do the latter because she looks away from her phone to make eye contact and smiles. He's never been a "bother" to me per say until recently. His mother passed away and the past 2 nights he has shown up at my home in the middle of the night crying. 2 nights ago he showed up at my house at midnight ringing my bell it scared the heck out of me. He was crying and drunk and kept me up until 2AM. YESTERDAY he showed up (again drunk) at 3AM rang my bell for over an hour (I didn't answer last night) then he showed up again at 7AM and wouldn't leave till I answered the door. I don't want to call the police and get him arrested because his mother just died but I'm not sure what to do/how to handle this situation. Any advice? I'm afraid he's going to show up again tonight. I haven't seen him all day to talk to him about waking me up. He hasn't been home. (Hopefully it stays this way rumor has it he's been at the bar all day.) |

When I first met him I felt like he did not like me at all but then we started to see each other around more and he started being nicer to me. First few weeks of us actually being "friendly" we'd just joke around a lot and he'd constantly look at me and say stuff like "you're such a funny girl" or "you're too funny", he also mocks me a lot n repeats everything i say in an annoying tone ALSOOO he touches me a SOO much (he'd place his hand on my back while talking to me, grab my arm and just shake it, go right behind me but so close where he's pressing against me). when he's around me there's this heat between us, i dont know what it is but it makes me want him it's so strange. we make each other laugh so much and make the days bearable... recently he wont leave me alone most of the time, i feel like he makes excuses just to be around me...then i found out he had a girlfriend and when she's around he acts like i dont exist, all the touching and talking ends when she's around but AS SOON as she's gone he's back on his bs with me BUT what i don't understand is his girlfriend is super pretty and the total opposite of me, she's got dark long hair, tan skin, perfect body and i'm this short depressed girl who masks everything with sarcasm so i'm not sure if he's attracted to me or just being too friendly??? |

However, before you come at me and ask me why I have a problem with people with mental illnesses, I don't. I only have a problem when it comes to dating them. Every man I date either has been diagnosed with depression, or they have Bipolar and anger issues. I'm an extremely open person (up until now) and finding out that my partner has a mental illness didn't use to bother me. However, this acceptance and closeness that I have for the man I'm with leads to problems. I've been in an abusive relationship due to one of my partners having Bipolar disorder. My last relationship ended due to another partner having depression. Things fell apart after a while. Another guy that I'm talking to currently has family issues and has been diagnosed with Depression as well. It seems that I only attract people with mental illnesses and while that usually wouldn't be an issue for me, I'm very much in need of a stable relationship. I'm looking for a life long partner and to put it bluntly, none of the mentally stable men seem to like me no matter how hard I try. I don't get it. I don't have any diagnoses and I really do try to be positive. I'm not looking to be a gold digger either. I genuinely just want stable and healthy love. I was added into a discord server with some friends which is how I was able to talk to my crush. We have a similar sense of humor and some things in common. He's the very awkward type too. He has never received a confession or dated in his life. He is extremely smart and very logical and focuses in school. We get along fairly well and we tease each other here and there. I said well I'd love to see her I have some stuff I can give her she said let me know when I said saturday after class all go down to richfeild ut from west valley city utah she said ok the night before she said when you you be her tomorrow I didn't get it till the next day she said all try to make it down there I'm in st gorge with my friend I texted her saying your bf is more important than you're kids and she said what bf so I got there she wouldn't awnser the phone I knocked her grandma let me see her than I went to a restaurant down the street texted her saying maybe I should stay away you don't like me and she don't know me she said why did you leave it takes time to warm up to someone new so I went back she let me hold her and we talked she said she drinks every weekend and I poked her stomach joking she said don't poke my fat in a serious way and I hugged her and told her I am getting my life together and not going to drink or use ever again she almost cried but she has also blocked me on everything and does not talk to me it's been 3 months that she blocked me and randomly hit me up any suggestions why this all happened I don't pay cs and not on the birth certificate |

Then he started asking me to have sex with him every single day & i was a virgin and he was my first bf but i felt like i loved him so i eventually gave in & then after we did, he became extremely jealous and controlling and he started hitting me, holding me down, choking me, and then after he would say he couldn't remember because he had MPD. I know you guys will probably think i was stupid for believing that and i know i was but i was 13 and just started 8th grade at the time and he was 15 about to be 16 in my grade because he got held back. I don't know if this was my fault for staying with him for so long but i was so scared and confused, i didn't know what to do and now i'm 15 and broke up with him 3 months ago and he still won't leave me alone. he says he's going to ruin all my friendship & "expose" the truth about me and he says he's gonna kill himself if i don't get back with him and if i block him he makes like 20 different accounts and spams me and now i'm scared to block him because he might kill himself. please someone give me advice i really don't know what to do. |

I began talking to this guy a week ago and we hit it off well. On Saturday, he invited me over to have sex. I don't think he knew what he was doing. I'm not a virgin, so I don't know why this happened. I texted him afterwards, and he was very dismissive about it, acting as though it was my fault.
