Question: My parents are going to make me wear diapers and eat baby food? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 01:34 PM PDT my dad lost his job about a month ago, and now we have no source of income. right now we are really tight on budget, we keep the lights and ac off pretty much all the time, we walk or bike everywhere to save gas costs, and ive tried finding a job, but i cant find a job anywhere, and nor can my mom or my siblings. my parents told me this morning that if this problem continues for another week, then we will have to stop using the bathroom to save water costs. and my mom said that this means we will all have to wear diapers at all times. also, they said that if things dont improve, we will have to start eating baby food, and my mom will breastfeed all of us. finally, my parents said that they are going to sell our beds, clothing, underwear, and furniture and rent cribs and high chairs instead. and by the way, im 16 years old, and my siblings range from ages 7 to 20
Question: My mom keeps sending ugly pictures of me? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 01:28 PM PDT I'm so f***in sick of my mom sending ugly pictures of me to our relatives back in my home country. I've told her countless times to stop sending pictures of me without my approval and yet she did it again. I looked ****** horrible in those pictures. I'm so f***in enraged because she promised she wouldn't. How do I get over this anger?? I feel lied to and cheated on.
Question: Am I stupid, I don't understand what my parent is angry about? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 01:26 PM PDT My parents were yelling at me about being ungrateful, but my mom said something strange that confused me. She said how I begged for braces, but now (after I've gotten them off...I got them off over a year ago) I "just wear my retainer". Which is true, I wear my retainer every night like I was told to by my ortho...I don't understand what she's mad about? Am I stupid, or does that make no sense? What else am I supposed to do? It's like she expects me to do something more than wearing a retainer...which confuses me.
Question: How can I get mom to understand her punishment is too harsh and get her to relent? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 12:42 PM PDT Mom has grounded me from driving my truck and is making me ride in the middle between she and my 14 year old sister until school starts back. This started when my sister found a pack of cigarettes a friend left in my truck several weeks ago and then she extended it when I honked the horn at her a few weeks ago when I was going to be late to work. I accepted full responsibility and her punishment for the cigarettes since I did smoke a few, but have tried to apologize to mom for honking the horn and explain to her why it was so important to me to get to work on time. Mom is still angry that I honked at her and has not accepted my apology. She has told me not to bring it up anymore. She said that if I either mention anything else about it to her or honk at her again, she promises me I will not be allowed to drive my truck or ride anywhere but the middle seat until November. Mom has told me it was really embarrassing to her when I honked the horn at her. She says that her driving me everywhere and making me ride in the middle between she and my sister is the best way she knows to make me feel as embarrassed as she felt when I honked the horn at her. Wondering how I can get mom to see that my honking the horn at her was a one time mistake and that I will not do anything to disrespect her again if she gives me another chance. I think she is really over reacting when I would have NEVER honked the horn to begin with it I was not going to be late for work my first week. Mom and I had been sharing my truck since her van died in January, and I was supposed to get it back and have first priority using it beginning last Monday. I think mom may be overreacting to my honking the horn at her to keep using my truck for another few months. How can I try to get her to understand I am sorry for what I did and will never do it again and get her to understand her punishment is too harsh?
Question: What to do about controlling parents? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 11:59 AM PDT My parents force me to study for the SAT for 10 hours a day and my score hasn't improved much even. I can only hang out with friends for 1 hour and have to go home and be in bed by 9pm or I'm not allowed to hang out with them. Whenever I try to tell my dad that studying 10 hours isn't helping me, he goes on a rant about how I'm stupid or he simply walks away and says "I'm not talking to you." I don't know how he expects me to live up to his expectations and get into an ivy league if my life is wasted on studying and feeling depressed. Also when I try to talk to my mom she says my dad is the one who makes decisions and she doesn't care about me. I don't know what to do with my life since it feels so meaningless. Any suggestions on how I should attempt to talk to my dad??
Question: My daughter steals from me? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 11:57 AM PDT So basically my daughter is 16 and she constantly takes money out of my wallet secretly when I'm sleeping or out of the room 100s of dollars and spends it on electronics and makeup and stuff and I keep telling her to stop. This is awful behavior but when I threaten to take her phone away she hits me or threatens to suicide. I don't know what to do. My husband doesn't know what to do either
Question: How do I convince my parents to buy me a house instead of a luxury car? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 11:27 AM PDT My sister apparently overheard my parents talking about how they are planning to get me a sports car as a college graduation gift. The thing is, I already have a car. They got me one as a going away to college gift and it still works well 3 years later. I don't need another car but what I need is a house. I don't need a big house. Just a small 3 bedroom house will do.
Question: I need advice regarding protecting my oldest grandson.? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 10:37 AM PDT My daughter has 3 different children by different men. She has allowed men to come into her life that were abusive to her and the children. The last one she fled and ended up having his baby. She filed a protection order against him and stayed away for 2 years. She then decided to reunite with him. He has not been a good step father to her older children. One has disabilities. Now he is saying things to indicate that he doesn't want them around. My grandson with disabilities is now in the care of his dad and his parents. My oldest grandson -14 - is getting blamed for that - as he alerted me to some things. He visiting his dad and grandmother right now - but I worry there will be repercussions upon his return. His dad is Schizophrenic and can't file for custody. I would love him to live with me or his Uncle who would love to have him. Since the other court case is happening with his brother - regarding allegations of abuse - I was hoping I could use that for his brother. Any ideas would help on how to protect my grandson. My daughter - his mom- makes excuses for her mate.
Question: How do you deal with a toxic family member? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 10:27 AM PDT My mom is married to a toxic man. He can be verbally and mentally abusive. The world tends to revolve around him and all his problems and everyone is against him. My mom pretty much lives walking around on eggshells cuz she never knows how he'll react to anything. I have told her to leave him, but she says she still loves him and she also has Parkinson's, which makes her fearful of living on her own without someone being in the house with her at all times (they're both retired). I tell her she needs to stand up for herself, but she says the backlash she receives is tiresome and stressful. I don't know what to do anymore or what to tell her. Has anyone dealt with a toxic individual in their family? Can anyone give me advice?
Posted: 07 Jul 2019 10:26 AM PDT He is not a friend of mine anymore.

Posted: 07 Jul 2019 10:12 AM PDT OK, so tried to get onto Xbox live but it kept saying how I needed to authenticate our my connection and I don t understand until it loaded a page saying our payment was past due. So like the f*ck am I supposed to do? Like this is frickin retarded that the bill is not payed and now I m the one PAYING for it by not being able to play on Xbox. So I don t even know what to do at this point.

Question: I’m going on a trip with my family but I always feel left out with them? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 08:31 AM PDT In a few weeks, my whole extended family is going on a trip. I always feel left out because I don't really like doing scary/"kid" stuff such as jumping off of cliffs. How do I get rid of the feeling of always feeling left out and different? Maybe even weird, like I don't feel normal.

Question: Help, i think my dad is misbehaving at church? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 07:13 AM PDT He wore denim short shorts and brought a cooler of beer to church today. Someone told me that someone, a creepy fat guy in denim short shorts and a girly white tanktop, is farting in the sanctuary and drinking beer. Then about 5 minutes later, another person told me the same guy just took off all his clothes and now hes rolling around, farting and screaming nonsense.
Posted: 07 Jul 2019 06:49 AM PDT My parents obviously I will see and want to but their friends I do not want to. One likes to divide people and the other hits on married men. Anyone connected to these two therefor I do not like either. They have one friend there who I like, she is a friend of the extended family also, and she is fine and a good person. But the others are dangerous people. They have a new beach house nearby but not on the beach, the one on the beach is so much better. How do I avoid having to be near these people again with the exception of the one nice lady. Meant to have a ? at the end, grammar error.
Question: Is my family middle class? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 05:47 AM PDT My parents take me out to dinner at nice restaurants almost every day. We go on vacations every year. Are we middle class?
Question: Can I move in with my boyfriend with my mom's permission? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 04:36 AM PDT I'm 16 and my boyfriend's 18. He has his own place and wants me to move in with him. I'm currently living with my mom but I'm sure she would approve because she doesn't even act like a parent. Sometimes I would stay over at my boyfriend's house for days in a row and she didn't even call me to find out where I was.
Posted: 07 Jul 2019 04:02 AM PDT Tomorrow is his birthday, now that I know he doesn't want clothes, I don't know what else to get him, I don't want to give him money, it looks tacky, even if that's what he really wants. Any ideas?
Question: Is it normal for a mom to track her 23 year old child all the time? Posted: 07 Jul 2019 03:34 AM PDT I told my mom im going on my own cell plan and she has to let me out of the family plan. But she never did and continues to track me and make me feel uncomfortable. I love my mom to death but im trying to go off on my own. She has told me she wants me to live on my own but still treats me like im 15.
Question: Daughter wearing revealing pants? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 10:44 PM PDT My 16 year old daughter has worked extremely hard in the gym for the body she has, but now everything she wears is not just tight, but wedgie between her butt cheeks tight. Whether it's her workout pants or just a pair of jeans, she is always showing off her booty and posting pictures of it on Instagram. She claims she is just proud of her progress, but I know she gets a ton of attention from guys. What should I do??
Question: My family are selfish and sad.? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 10:30 PM PDT My grandparents who raised me from baby. When I ask them to take me to a hospital appointment to get checked out for something important that has lasted over a year they say no go catch a bus. The last time they travelled for me was ages ago like a month ago but they can give my cousins money and travel them round go on their command but I can't get help to something important for my health. So I ripped the hospital form and ain't going no more don't care if I suffer or get really sick because of it. What dickheads. Who does that to their family?
Posted: 06 Jul 2019 10:18 PM PDT My sister whom is my roommate had passed out drunk in the living room floor at 6p.m. leaving her son to bounce on her stomach, smack her face, throw her arm at the floor, then cry to me that "she is dead". I let him play my PS4 to console him and assured she was fine. Around 8:40 I was grilling out when she awoke upset. I told her about my nephew and expressed that I didn't appreciate her actions. From 8:40 till 11:30 she let me know what a piece of #$&@ I was for not just watching my nephew without rebuttal. 3 hours of her following me outside when I went, to berate me, every time I came inside the same. NOW, I am no saint but should I have just kept my mouth shut and accepted unwillingly watching my nephew, without being asked to, while his mother is passed out drunk in the floor, and he claiming she is dead? I know there are always 2 sides, but honestly the first things she had to say was, "you act like Brian (the childs father)", "you act like a #!$& man", "you're being a *****", and "you're a sh!t uncle for not just watching him". Really am I wrong for not volunteering to play house? I mean to her and a few other family members, I am just "bitching and griping" if I express any grievances about others impeding on my life.
Question: Should I pretty much assume my sister isnt moving in? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 08:48 PM PDT So, I moved out of my mothers house almost 2 years ago, and moved into another place with my brother and his gf. I almost immediately regretted it. I had been talking about moving back in with my mom for a year. She was also getting lonely, and said she wanted me to. Anyway, my sister was also saying her, her bf, and his son were gonna move in, and fix up my moms house. It needs around 10 grand worth of repairs. We were all gonna put our money together and fix the place up. Back in August I asked my sister when she was gonna move in. She said probably December. December came along, and she said March. Well, watch jas come and gone, but I just stopped asking. I couldnt take my living arrangements, and moved back in with my mother 2 months ago. My mother and I were able to make a couple repairs, and I'll be able to get the roof repaired. I guess my sister hasnt moved in because she feels obligated to fix the pos mobile home shes living in. It's my grandma and grandpa she's renting, and my grandpa completely neglects it. I'm just kind of waiting on my sister to move in so that we can fix the house, because I cant do it without her. A couple months ago, and she was getting things together to move up there, but nothing's happened. I'm starting to think shes never gonna do it. She hasnt said anything about not doing it. Shes just taking forever.
Question: I hate my dad so much, what should I do? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 06:58 PM PDT I'm 16 years old and I hate my dad, he is the worst person I have ever met. I live with him, my mom, and my sister. As a kid he was never really around much, my dad collects classic cars and dedicates his life to that, fixing them up and everything. He also works most of the time, but when he's not working he is out doing stuff with his cars, or he goes to the bar with his friends. I barely see him, he has never took us anywhere as a family, he's a very boring man, even my mom says he's a boring man and she wishes he would do stuff with us. My mom can't drive, so she can't take us anywhere. I don't have any friends (I've always had social issues and never made friends). I was diagnosed with depression when I was 7 and I have been going to therapy since I was 8. I was on medication for a while but that didn't work out. My dad also tells me that i'm not "manly enough" he always calls me "Gay" even though i'm really not. Because I just lie in bed all day doing nothing except for using the laptop, I have nothing better to do. I wish I can get a job so I can make money and do fun stuff with the money, since I have never had fun. my dad is the source of my depression, he's just so rude, arrogant, boring, and I just hate him. What should I do about this?
Question: Should parents stop paying for their child's college if they get bad grades? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 06:54 PM PDT I already told my son that I won't be paying for his college next semester. He finished his freshmen year with a 2.3 GPA, and he's not even in a math or science major related major.

Question: Why can't I have sober fun with my friends? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 06:35 PM PDT We are all 25. Every time we hangout, we drink. Now when I go out to do something sober together, it feels almost impossible. I feel like there's nothing fun we can do and I have a lot of disinterest in doing things. But just sitting and chilling and drinking sounds better. I actually don't have a drinking problem. When I am not hanging out with friends, I never have the need to drink. I could go the whole year without drinking. However two of my friends are showing signs of alcoholism. When I hangout with them I can tell they are dying for a drink. They literally don't want to do anything else but drink and I honestly don't care if I drink or not. However I don't drink a lot, just a beer and that's it. My friends personality are more playful and tolerable when they are drinking. It's like I could hangout with them sober where they act half dead or drink with then where their personality becomes normal and nice. I know I am enabling them. Do I have a drinking problem? I just feel this pressure like the only thing we can do together is drink otherwise our sober hanging out experience will suck. I can tell my friends really really want to drink. So I give in to drinking.
Question: Probation for a 16 year old, can she move in with me? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 05:37 PM PDT Hello, I'm a 16 year old girl from Ohio, my best friend (16) lives in a different city but is able to see me from time to time, she's currently on probation for not going to school. Recently she's been doing good, passing all her drug tests going to group meetings, her father wants to move out of state to get away from her mother, but neither of us want her to leave, is it possible for her to move in with me? If so what will the legal proceedings be? We want to graduate together Her father just got custody of her and her siblings
Posted: 06 Jul 2019 04:51 PM PDT One I never saw again and she apparently lived to be 92. The other one did die of cancer 8 years later and I saw her on rare occasions but generally avoided her. They ruined my life.
Question: My boyfriend's parents hate me? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 04:46 PM PDT They hate me because I'm 16 and have 2 kids. I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old.I know teenage pregnancy isn't a good thing but I learned from my mistakes. How can I get them to approve of me?

Question: Why does my mom claim that she knows everything about me? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 04:08 PM PDT I love the Revolutionary War, always had always will. I have liked it since I was in 5th grade. Now that I am in university I am double majoring in History and in American studies. Originally I was studying Art History and so I switched my Art History major to History. Now, my eldest sister by 4 years has a boyfriend who likes the Revolutionary War (Which is my main focus in History because it is badass). And it makes me excited because now I have something in common with him that I can talk to him about. Today my mom told me "That I need to stop with the Revolutionary War stuff because I know you, you like to put yourself out there and drain everyone else's shine." Which I don't when I get excited I like to talk about it. Hearing that come from my mom broke my heart. What really hurts is that my mom believes that I am nothing but a chameleon. My professors and adviser are supporting me with my studies and want me to continue to do what I love. Even my adviser (Who teaches American History) put me in his Honors Class. I honestly don't know what to do. I feel betrayed and mostly hurt, what do I do?
Question: Is prison rape a myth??? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 03:03 PM PDT My 18y/o is a trouble maker and really arrogant when it comes to the reality of what his life could be like if he doesnt change his ways. For whatever reason, that we cant seem to figure out, he is convinced that prison is a walk in the park. He rants a lot about his rights and "state liabilities" and how he cant be forced to do anything he doesnt want. "They cant strip search me, force me to eat anything I dont want, force me out of bed, etc." Its like he believes prison is some kind of free food, free accommodation vacation. The only thing that seems to get a genuine reaction out of him is when we tease that he'll be raped. But even so, he's convinced it's a myth and that media makes it out to be a major thing that doesnt happen nearly as much as people believe and the prisoners respect each other and basically live in harmony. That the whole "big black rapist" thing is a TV trope. He watched a show called 60 days in and figures it isnt a big deal. I plan to let him read the answers so please verify that prison rape is not a myth/joke.
Question: Why do some parents imply that people without children are selfish? Posted: 06 Jul 2019 02:37 PM PDT It's not directly said obviously, but that's basically what they imply when they brag about how unselfish they are for being parents and how non-parents don't understand the sacrifices they make for them since they are not the most important person in their life anymore. Not questioning the love or the giving acts, but there are many non-parents who do lots of loving and giving acts as well. And some of them sacrifice a lot too.
